A few months back I reserved a few tables at this place for a company karaoke party on a Saturday night with all managers (risky). Safe to say that everyone loved it and now I'm getting ready to book another party after multiple requests. The food is 7/10 - I loved the fried pickles and I had a couple wings which were good, but I'd try something different next time. Others ordered sandwiches and other sides and seemed to like them. The service was great as the KJ got all our names added to the karaoke list before he even got his set-up running. We also had a great server (I forgot his name - so sorry!!! I think it might have been Ian??) who started us off with a couple food orders and our initial drink order. The expectation was set for us that we would get a better experience going to the bar whenever we want another drink/add more food to our tabs. I love that they were honest about this from the get-go because it gets CRAZY crowded on a Saturday night and our tables were adjacent to the dance floor. Excellent people-watching entertainment. Karaoke starts at 8pm, our party got there at 7pm. Karaoke process here is that the KJ puts your name on a list, you give him your song when it's your turn, your name stays on the rotation until you tell him you're done. There are A LOT of names in the rotation. I sang my first song at 8:15 and my second song after midnight, everyone in between only sang once. Get there early if you want to sing early. read more

This is a solid bar. Karaoke is everyday of the week, heck yeah!!! The food and drinks are good. Vibes are chill and everyone minds their business and is friendly. The only con for me was cleanliness. The bartender was handling cash but then with bare hands immediately still squeezing and throwing limes in the drinks without washing her hands. But at a bar ya see this stuff sometimes so maybe don't get a cocktail or one with lime wedges to avoid cross contamination...lol but not lol. I still really enjoyed my time here so they still get a 5 stars from me. The food was what I came for along with the karaoke and damn the food impressed me. I've been to Palmers a handful of times for karaoke, and ALWAYS had a great time, even when the place was slammed. I hyped up the place to some friends who had never been, and we chose to go there from a myriad other places we could have gone to. But the karaoke was extremely disappointing. We were 4 singers, and were all told it would be about an hour wait to sing, which we were totally fine with. After about an hour, our first friend got to go and sing. Then the KJ called out the name of another in our group. He went up to sing, even put some money in the jar when he went up, but the KJ wandered away to talk to people in the bar, which they had been doing the whole time we were there. When they came back, my friend asked when they would start the song, and the KJ point blank said "It's not your turn yet." We heard his name called, there was no mistake. Then the KJ called out another name. So we waited to see if they were going to call out my friend again, but instead called up a singer that had JUST SUNG 4 songs ago. And one singer had sung three times in the time we were there. I profusely apologized to my friends for feeling like I wasted the night by taking them there. The bar staff were super friendly, kind, and accommodating, so that was nice. But not going to come back to karaoke, it was a bad way to end what was a good night out with friends. read more

When I moved to WA in 2017 Palmers immediately became my home/favorite spot to be. The food is incredible with daily specials, a pool room and they have karaoke 7 nights a week. There's also trivia and really fun events like pumpkin carving for the family, costume contests for karaoke, karaoke games, poker and so much more. Oh, they also offer a huge list of nonalcoholic options with beer and mocktails!! The owner of this place we all call our chosen family, Tommy, is a compassionate, hard working man who takes care of his employees and customers. A diamond in the ruff. The rest of the staff are also incredible human beings. They are personable, quick, witty and a lot of them have been there for years. Some 20!! That says a lot for a business. They also have affordable prices for the downtown Redmond area where things can be a bit expensive. Great people, environment, food, entertainment and atmosphere. Honestly I've been coming to palmers a couple times a year since I was about 13 and first moved to the U.S. it used to be good with friendly staff who were attentive but now that I'm older and in my 20s it's not the same. I wouldn't recommend coming here if you're under the age of 30 or look younger because you will be ignored almost completely. This is the 3rd time I've come to palmers and I've had almost no service unless I flag someone down I am not asked if I want drinks or food even on a slow day. When I finally get my food and drinks and I'm done with them I will sit and wait for more than 45 minutes before I eventually just get up and wait in line at the bar to pay or get a to go box. I'm very disappointed because I remember how good the service used to be. I feel like they just expect young people not to tip so they treat them poorly but that's just not the case because I always tip at least 20%. Unfortunately I think I just have to bite the bullet and find somewhere else to eat and drink because going here genuinely just ruins my night with how ignored I feel. read more

We got got the cheeseburger with bacon and spicy sriracha fries (they have a good kick for sure) and the western burger with garlic fries. It was all solid good food, very flavorful and great for the price. The music can be a tad too loud when you just want to go to converse with friends but that's because they bring the DJ in around 8pm and they have karaoke at 9pm every night. I've heard good things about Palmers and appreciate a good dive bar. They have a parking lot across the street which is convenient since street parking is limited. They also have TV's which is good for catching a game. The food was decent and they have a good selection of local beers. The reason I'm giving them three stars is because of the bait and switch when it comes to pricing. I ordered the soup and salad, which they charged me for. They also added an extra surcharge for soup and another one for the salad. I've never been charged extra for ordering something straight off the menu so these two extra surprise charges were unexpected and disappointing. I usually bring this up to the staff, but they couldn't keep up with the orders which meant that many customers had to wait quite awhile for their orders. They could probably use an extra bartender, although I know how tough it is to find staff so I don't blame them for the wait times. read more

First, the drinks here are really good! I got the shameless skittle one, and it tasted amazing. The cider wasn't bad either. The tacos were overcrowded with onions. You can tell by the picture that about 2/3 of the taco was onion. They seem to have some pretty good deals that I'm willing to come check out at a later time, even breakfast! The bar stool seating in the middle is a little close to each other. So getting in and out is a little difficult. All in all, though, it was just okay. It's a classic dive bar situation. Set your expectations accordingly, I'd say just an ounce rougher around those edges than Daman's. In my previous visit I went later in the evening, it was WAY too loud, probably because karaoke, so if you wish to preserve your hearing, earplugs are a must. I wasn't impressed with the first visit on the drink prices. This time I stuck to Truly and that was a lot better. It's really not a place to get a Manhattan, but a beer / seltzer place. Learned that lesson. Typical bar food that didn't appear too gross, although for those trying to avoid carbs it'll be difficult to avoid like most places. Didn't venture too much into the menu as I wasn't super hungry today. It's a good place I suppose, I prefer the patio area over the inside and will continue to want to be there instead of inside so long as that's the option. read more
