We've been going to the lime for a couple of weeks now for Thursday night trivia and I've been pretty impressed. It's nothing like what I expected from a placed called The Lime. It's a large place inside with plenty of seating. The food is pretty decent and very reasonable. Most of it has kind of a weird reddish-orange hue, however, so be prepared for that. The service has been great as well, very friendly and attentive. It's one of the better trivia events we've been to as well. The host, Ben, is very funny and engaging and the categories are fun. Overall it's a pretty cool place to visit for trivia, a drink, or to watch a game. Lots of large televisions on the walls and good sound. Happy to have found this place. read more

Performed this past weekend and what a place! The crowd the energy so dope! Plenty of parking in their front lot and nearby streets. The bathroom was so clean and well kept, the drinks delicious, didn't have a chance to try their food but I am ceartin it is yummy. The security at the door makes the place feel safe and they do their job on making sure everyone is of age! I ordered food and the wait staff woman with the orange hair brought my food over to the Golden Tee game and never asked if I needed anything. She never came back to check on me and never enquired about if my food was. she displayed that she could have cared less. She had no idea that i was a local. My wife and I went to the lime today, my lunch experience was a pleasant surprise. As I stepped into the dive bar, I was immediately taken by its expansive layout and the lively atmosphere created by multiple TVs airing various games. It seemed like the perfect spot to unwind during a busy night. I ordered the half-pound garlic Sriracha wings and fish 'n chips, I found both dishes to be solid choices. While the wings were decent, as expected for a dive bar, they still packed a flavorful punch with the garlic Sriracha seasoning. The fish 'n chips exceeded my expectations with their crispy batter and tender fish. Normally I don't like panko style fish n chips but this was pretty good. Although I didn't anticipate much from a dive bar, I was genuinely happy with the quality of the food I received. It's clear that The Lime takes pride in offering satisfying fare to its customers. My mom swears by this place. She's loved everything she gotten there. She finally took me and it mostly lived up to her hype. Personally, it was a bit cramped and loud for me, but I feel that way about most bars. If you like the bar scenes, it's not issue. Besides that, my only complaint was how long it took the waitress to get around to us. It took a while for them to acknowledge us and get us menus, and then a while to try to flag them down for a new drink. The wait staff was very friendly though, even recognized her from coming in often enough, and the food was delicious. We got mozz bread, prime rib dip sandwich, and a Philly sandwich that we had with salad and fries. Everything was good, and I'll be happy to go around to try more. read more

Really enjoy the rapport with our server Adria who was just getting off shift and was replaced by Christy. A friendly patron could tell we were newbies and made some recommendations on food. I ordered the whiskey burger and Jim the bbq pork flatbread. OMG it was so delicious we didn't need doggie bags. A fun local bar that gets really packed, especially if there's a show going to be happening that night. People were friendly, staff was nice & helpful, great vibe. Prices were totally reasonable which is nice considering it is Kirland. Despite the crow, service was really fast. Bathrooms are nice & clean, 3 stalls for the ladies, which is definitely necessary with how many people come to this bar & the artwork they have on the bathroom walls is phenomenal. I'd say it's somewhere between a cross of a sports bar, a dive bar and your neighborhood watering hole. They've got a great stage and good place to see a band play. Seems like they have a lot of live music here. Parking can be hard to find, despite that they have a lot, but the lot is shared by many businesses and of course if the bar is busy, the parking lot will be full. A divey bar with delicious drinks and food. We came for the crab special that did NOT disappoint. It was definitely crowded for a Thursday and our seating options were limited. But, it was definitely enjoyable. The crab kept coming! It comes with soup, garlic bread, and a salad. All unlimited too I believe. All for $32 per person. An unbeatable deal and the crab is nice and fresh. Service was quick and it looked like a fun place with lots going on. I believe their trivia thursdays start at 7pm as well. How do I put this? This place seems like it can be all things to all people. We went on a weekend night and were blown away by a great live band but the showstopper was the crowd and energy. It may as well have been Mardi Gras. All ages ( 21-80+ ) all kinds , dress code - clearly anything goes .. formal wear, cattle ranchers, leather, gala dress, pants no pants, bandauxs, faux fur, sequins, jeans and tees, sweatpants , bell bottoms with graphics, whateves. Doesn't matter who you are, what you look like or how you are dressed ( or not) , or whether you can dance , everybody is up dancing and having fun. The service was surprisingly present in light of the packed house. The food wasn't bad. My understanding is that the face of the Lime changes with the event. A gameday brunch , its more of a sports bar. They have Karaoke, trivia and other events aside from great music. Its a fun nightclub / sports bar. I'd give it another try for sure. read more

I think if I came back this place would be four stars. The Lime is a super fun spot in Kirkland in an unassuming strip mall on Rose Hill. You don't expect much from the exterior, but it definitely is a great place to hang out. But the service and food when we visited was disappointing. I like dive bars, which is why The Lime deserves a return visit. My friend and I visited on a Thursday night during trivia and the host had their own stage, calling out questions and reviewing answers and the entire trivia crowd was into it. I like the rowdy, loud, crass kind of place that you'd expect from a dive bar, which is what you'll find here. They have other themed nights, including live music on Fridays and Saturdays. Plus, there are TVs everywhere playing sports. It's my kind of bar. However, our server seemed to be in a bad mood. She was very short with us when asking about the menu and later on admitted that she was sorry about the service and that the orders were delayed in the kitchen. I think she actually said, "It's a shit show back there." With that said, my friend's food came out before mine, so she was basically halfway done until I got mine. I told her to eat her food while it was hot, so not a big deal. But we both ordered burgers, so not sure why mine took longer to cook. Sadly, the food wasn't worth the wait. I get it's a dive bar, but dang. I ordered the quesadilla burger, which I do not recommend. The tortilla that serves as the bun was not folded into the burger patty, as I was hoping it would be since it's a quesadilla burger. You know when you heat a tortilla too much and it becomes hard? Yeah, that was my deal here. There was also not enough cheese, which is necessary for a quesadilla to hold together. I asked for my patty to be medium rare and it was overcooked, so it was dry. At least the fries were double-dipped, so extra crunchy. But I don't wanna fill up fries! Sooo I think I may try this place again for Taco Tuesday or Fish and Chips Friday. This is a very limited review on one meal only, takeout during COVID-19 shutdown. Via FB, I learned that that they have an $18.95 Dungeness crab special: whole crab, clam chowder, garlic bread, and salad. Sounds like a good deal, so we decided to give it a try. First, I checked if the crab is served hot, an important factor to me. They replied yes. Great. I placed an order for two via FB Messenger per their instructions. They replied and acknowledged it. When we went to pick up, they didn't have our order and simply said FB orders don't always get transferred over. Sigh. Then why tell people to order via Messenger?? We waited and received the order. The food: - Crab - It was cold, not hot. Sigh. Not refrigerator cold but still cold. And dry too. This was boiled a while ago. Crappy crab, pun intended. - Clam Chowder - This is the better (I can't bring myself to write best) out of the 4 items. The flavor is good. Honestly though, it still tasted like it could be out of a can. But not Campbell's Chunky. :D - Salad - This is pre-chopped from a bag, embellished with diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, and croutons. Meh. - Garlic bread - On one of the slices, there is no butter and no garlic flavor. Not even cold toast as there were no burn/toast markings. It was cold bread. Even grocery store garlic bread tastes much, much better. Lesson learned, a deal on paper isn't always a deal. I'm not giving them one star because there is genuine cost to what they are providing. It's just not worth eating. ========= Hours later update: I downgraded them to 1 star after all. We both had diaherria hours after this dinner. We went to see the Husky game and when we arrived we were told that there is a line and we were ok waiting for people to exit. People started leaving and they still didn't let us in. Apparently, they were above capacity. The guy at the door let some other people in but still refused to let us enter for no reason. The messages we were getting from the person at the door were inconsistent, at best and ranged from the capacity, to there is a line and anything in between. I used to really like this place for a few drinks and they have pretty good food. Karaoke, live music, trivia pool...all great. The bartenders and servers are always really great. I was in recently and I could barely sit near the bar because it's so close to the restrooms and the smell was so repulsive. It was like trying to eat a meal in the men's room. I felt bad for the bartenders having to smell that for long shifts several days per week. They make enough money to sanitize and clean correctly. It was so unpleasant. I don't want to go back and I used to really enjoy going here. There are some really terrible dive bars that don't smell anything as bad as this. They sponsor(?) my partner's softball team so after each game we come for some grub. It's not usually too busy when we head over - Sundays either around 4p or 6p. The place isn't too packed. A decent amount of seating + at least six(?) large TVs with various games playing. The first two times we came the service was slow (we have a large party and wanted separate checks, some combined), but these last two times it was better service (with same check situation). Haven't had a menu item I didn't like! Got the Turkey Club x2, Mini Lime x1 and French Dip x1. The group really likes the Southwest Egg Rolls and someone always tends to get them. The Turkey Club is huge and I can never finish it. The bread for the French Dip is a super soft / crunchy outside french roll. Very tasty! The fries in general are also very good. Cool, spacious dive bar in Kirkland...and dive is NOT an insult! The service is spot on and completely on top of it (been here 3 times - Friday happy hour, Halloween and a Saturday breakfast/brunch). Very friendly and seem actually interested how your food and drinks are...nice! Food - simple and tasty! Biscuits and gravy - two thumbs up! Breakfast burrito with chorizo - TDF! Loved the HH tacos and spinach dip. Also, very clean - including the ladies room (yes, this IS important!). And, like most others have reported, tons of TVs to watch your favorite games. My friends and I saw an AYCE dungeoness crab as and we had to go check it. They served salad, chowder and toast (my low carb day so I didn't eat) along with unlimited crab. They would bring out almost a half crab each time and server would check in just as we finish up to ask if we wanted another round. The crab meat was easy to get to and sweet. Signs of fresh crab. Come for the drinks, go somewhere else for the food. We ordered the bacon wrapped prawns and a pound of wings. Both of them were over cooked, the bacon was hard but otherwise edible. The wings on the other hand...my boyfriend loves wings but this wasn't it. They were over cooked and dry. We asked for garlic sriracha and they gave it to us completely dry that we reminded our server we asked for sauce. Sadly, even the sauce couldn't save our wings.
