We asked for a rec for an acidic, fruity red and felt like the gal just told us the most expensive non-tannic red on the menu. Fine. For $32 a glass, I would not order what I got again. We headed to a restaurant after and got $14 glass pours that we preferred. I've tried a variety of their beers, hard seltzers, and hop water and have liked all of them so far. I've found the place to be welcoming and a fun environment in which to meet friends. Tony has been very kind and helpful and provides great service. I'd also like to take this opportunity to educate any reviewers who complain that their children are excluded. I'm not employed by or associated with this business in any manner, nor am I providing them (or any reader) legal advice. However, I do know that the Revised Code of Washington Chapter 66 is the Alcoholic Beverage Control Act for this state. It makes a distinction between brewery taprooms and brewers who run their business as a tavern. Some breweries serve their beverages at taprooms which allow children on the premises. However, some breweries (like Big Block Brewing's Sammamish location) instead have tavern licenses which categorically prohibit anyone under the age of 21 from being on the premises at any time, under any condition. It's not their fault; it's the law. When they refuse admittance to a child, they aren't being unreasonable. They're simply abiding by the law and ensuring that they do not violate it (a misdemeanor offense) and risk losing their liquor license. Personally, I think it's unfair to punish a business with a bad review because of the legal framework under which they are currently licensed. If you want to bring your kids (&/or dogs), their Redmond location is just 10 miles away and has a different license (probably because that is where the beer is now brewed), so maybe try going there.

With no minimum amount or venue fee (just 20% auto gratuity), Formula was the easy choice to host a large event - plus they have plenty of parking in the back! The drink choices here are phenomenal- they have a large beer selection but they also serve cocktails, lemonade, slushies, and other non-alc drinks making it a family friendly place. My favorite was the Tieton Huckleberry Cider on tap! They also make their sourdough pizza in-house and have vegan options too. Service is fantastic and all bartenders and staff were super friendly and accommodating. They have lots of indoor and outdoor seating with plenty of tables and benches.
