These folks aren't going to win any (real) awards for the food or the value. But the venue - in terms of view - is as good as it gets for Bellevue. And the service is quite solid. We ate a ton, enjoyed ourselves, and if you combine good weather with the hours leading up to sunset - I think it's a really great experience.

Came here for brunch and had an amazing time! The waiter was really nice and recommended a great bottle of champagne for mimosas that saved us a tad bit of money over getting individual mimosas. The Benedict was great! The burgers were delicious. And so were the pancakes. But best of all is the view. Being able to see Seattle and Bellevue as you lounge over breakfast and mimosas is unbeatable hear. The only suggestion I can think of is to lean into brunch a bit more and expand the menu for breakfast a bit. Half of us ended up ordering lunch foods (which were still tasty, no still 5 stars!)

Because of the negative reviews about food quality, we were skeptical after making the reservation. And let me tell you guys, I was quite pleasantly surprised. The appetizers (potato bravas and fried Brussels sprouts) were fantastic. Even my picky kiddo wiped his plate clean. For entrees I ordered the parsnip potato soup, which was very hearty and filling. For that I ordered a side of grilled focaccia but i was given regular bread toast. No big deal. Cajun pasta was super okay. It was too spicy and the flavors seemed a little off. The veggie burger was well presented and good. Garlic fries were the best. Mac and cheese was pretty alright. Good wine selections too. I got the Chloe Prosecco which went well with the meal. Loved the decor. It has a very comforting vibe to it. Very polite and sweet staff. For a restaurant of this level, the food quality could be better. Probably the issue is the lack of consistency. I would definitely come again and recommend them to others if they show signs of improvement.

Seattle has been having some beautiful May weather so we visited on a 80 degree Friday evening. This place is known for the views and we were had prime patio seating reserved. Service was pleasant and attentive so we were off to a great start. 10/10 for atmosphere and service! We ordered the Garlic Parm Fries by way of the waitresses, she said it would be the fastest to come out - 5/10 the were nothing special, could have totally passed on these. Frozen fries with shredded Parmesan cheese that hardly stuck to the fries and lacked flavor. For our entrees we ordered the Pacific Cod & Chip, again lacked flavor, not even salt 5/10 but on a positive note I will save the serving size was appropriate for $29 at a golf course pub. We also ordered the Cajun Pasta which had the most flavor of all the dishes but wasn't worth taking home 6/10. Overall, I wouldn't return for the food but if you want decent drinks, great views and solid service I would give them a shot. We seen families with children playing at a smaller course below the patio, a wedding party and even people walking their dog all during our dining experience. The last 30 minutes of our time there a bagpipe player started marching around right below the patio playing for everyone.

We got a delicious cheesecake as a little snack and some drinks while we waited for our friends to finish their round of golf. The view was great as well with comfortable indoors and outdoors seating. Service was very sweet and nice!

Gorgeous place. The view is so beautiful and is the best thing about this restaurant. I decided to order the Cajun pasta and wow...it was really expensive and really bad. Did it taste alright? Yeah. But it's crazy that I can one hundred percent do better pasta than them. The sauce was really watery and thin. Chicken was dry, but it was tasty. Cajun pasta with barely any Cajun flavor. Shrimp was actually good though. It's almost like they pour water into the pasta before serving it. Service was good. Our waitress was nice and she came back to check on us a couple of times. If you like wasting money on bad food and watching people play golf below you, you should try this place. Also the water tastes like pool water.

Food was actually decent despite most of the reviews here that said it wasn't worth the money. I think one would come here for the ambience and view more than the food. When setting that expectation then the food was actually pretty good. The view was spectacular and the check in process was efficient. Where I gave this a one star was all thanks to Emily - our waitress. It was Mother's Day and we went for brunch. We were forgotten for almost an hour after ordering. When we asked Emily she told us all the tables wait that long but we weren't blind and where were 4 of us - seeing all the tables getting their food in less than 30 mins. In fact a big table of over 8 people sat down after us - 20 mins - got their food before us. Not sure what was the deal with lying but no apology or anything. That left a bad taste for our time and I hope the mgr read this and train their people to be honest and decent people who can live up to a mistake and just apologize vs outright lying to make it seems like it's just our problem.

I felt like we were back to pre-covid celebrations at the golf course. The food was incredible, the service was fabulous and it was a festive beautifully decorated room! Our server Emilio was wonderful.

This is an update to my much needed outdated review. I visited this restaurant today after golf and we were seated in the outdoor patio area. It was a beautiful day and the view (Seattle to the left and Downtown Bellevue to the right) here is just ...amazing. I ordered the burger again and they now use Painted Hills beef. Which I know is very good quality but I personally feel that all restaurants that use painted Hills beef for their burgers offer quite "dry" patties. Maybe grass-feed beef... is just dry. Also the patties were slightly under seasoned and the bacon had a bit too much peppery taste. But overall it was pretty decent. Fries were excellent. Our server was very pleasant and nice. No complaints there. I would give this place a 3.5 stars but Yelp doesn't allow me to do so. I rounded the rating up a half due to the amazing location and view.

This is a great place to chill locally with an amazing view. I also love sitting in the bar, and the patio or the dining room. Typically the food is very delicious. I recently had the king salmon BLT for almost $30 and I wouldn't say it was that great though. I used to have it several years ago and it was the best sandwich I have had and it was $17. Way more flavorful back then but most everything else is good. I've had some very good tacos, burgers, and seafood (scallops were amazing) dishes. Also had a very good espresso martini and an extensive wine list to please any wine lover.

$27 for a burger. Yikes! I've been to Calcutta multiple times in the past, but I don't recall the prices being this steep. The least expensive entree on the menu was $26 and if you want an entree salad, the price ranges from $29 to $34...for a salad. In my most recent visit, I had just finished playing a round Sunday morning with my friends and we were famished, so we grabbed a table at the bar. Shoutout to the bartender that day for working so hard because he was the only person working the bar. He took drinks, we had to order at the bar through him, and he took our payment all while the entire bar section was at full capacity. Where were the servers and his support staff? Nobody came to assist his section. He was so busy, it took 30 minutes in between for refills on our drinks and water. As for the food, that took 50+ minutes for it to arrive. We could even see our food underneath the heat lamp waiting for someone to bring it because we were able to see into the kitchen. As my burger arrived, I thought it was pretty good burger. I liked the bun they used, but the burger sat so long, it was no longer medium rare but closer to a medium to medium well. However, I didn't want to send it back because who knows how long it would take. Plus I was just insulted by the price. Was it a solid burger? Yes, but was it worth $27, definitely no and you get very little fries that came with it, which were not the crispiest. Definitely lost its structure while under the heat lamp. Overall, I'm disappointed by the lack of service and menu pricing. There needs to be more staff than the poor bartender doing everything. For a restaurant that represents Newcastle Golf Club, please improve on your operations.

    The breathtaking views.

This place is located on a golf course. The parking is plentiful and the views are absolutely amazing. The food was good. Nothing memorable - food is on the pricey side. Service was good. We ordered the tofu curry, top sirloin and prime rib. The food was good just not something I would need to order again.

Dined here with the family to celebrate our 20 year anniversary. We got married here, 20 years ago! Service -5 Food- 3 Pros: -Impeccable service and views - something for everyone , the teens were happy without being too stuffy - painted hills burger- yes! - Cobb salad - yes! - scallops and pork belly , nom nom nom , scallops a bit small . - when they heard it was our anniversary, they really made us feel special. Our waitress took our photo outside and was so attentive. and personable. Even got red velvet cake, on the house! - teens liked their strawberry lemonade Cons: hubs ordered the beef tenderloin and polenta. The steak was ok and the polenta seemed dry and overcooked. Wont order again. - tempura asparagus appetizer- ordered bc it's not your common appetizer. It was exactly as described. Suggest different aioli than what is paired. The more I think about this, solid 3 food in a beautiful atmosphere. It works for what it is. I only got pics of the dessert.

In particular, the three amazing, high-quality cheeses they put on their pepperoni pizza is like a symphony in your mouth. I would just avoid adding their olives, which are green, not black, and possibly the saltiest thing I have ever had in my mouth. I doubt a teaspoon of salt would taste much saltier. After choking down one I did not eat any of the others. Why they don't offer high quality black olives, which do so much for pepperoni pizza IMO, is a head-scratcher for me. Though they brew their beer there, and they always have a stout or porter for me--I like to eat my beer with a knife and fork--I've never found it out of the ordinary. A can of Irish Death would be better. It's the pizza I go there for. But though it is my favorite place by far to have pizza, I have a bone to pick about one of the servers (most of their servers are fine): As a former fine dining restaurant server and shift manager, I'm familiar with the Washington state law that allows restaurant patrons to take partially consumed bottles of wine home with them in their cars if (a) it is resealed with its cork, and (b) they keep it in the trunk or other cargo area where humans don't normally sit. And don't touch it until they're parked at home. I'm a light drinker, and one time I only drank about half a bottle of beer. I think it might have been a large bottle, I'm not sure. Wondering if the rule I knew so well for wine might apply to beer bottles too, I asked the server if it was possible to take it home. I supposed that the main issue might be whether they had a way to seal it, since the cap was no longer good for that. He didn't know, and said he'd find out. When he returned, he said no, and acted like it was the dumbest question anyone in the universe had ever asked, or ever could ask. I had a flashback of Dixie's BBQ on Northup way by I-405 (long closed), where surly sarcasm from knuckle-dragging employees was basically a brand. Curious, today I asked Google for help. I learned that the reason it's possible with wine is because there is a special carve-out in Washington state law just for wine. The carve-out does not apply to any other type of alcohol. So it doesn't matter if you can find a way to reseal the beer bottle. Because the carve-out is only for wine, not beer. I doubt that nuance is widely known. I think it's a reasonable question. As a former server, I have a piece of advice for that server: If you ask a question of a coworker, and they answer with sarcasm, you don't pass that sarcasm on to the customer when you pass on the answer. That's bad service. In my 6 years in restaurants, I was asked my share of dumb questions. But I would never have dreamed of letting on that I thought the question was dumb. Because that's an important part of what good service is. But again, most of the servers there are fine.

She has been going on and on about this "Fire Breather" burger for a bit. First things first, exceptionally clean and friendly place. Seated quickly and very attentive to us and the rest of the patrons there. Broad selection of food and adult beverages. Breakfast till 1:00 pm on Sat/Sun so it was hard for me to decide what I wanted as I had my mind set on the "Pub Club" but noticed that they had Chicken Fried Steak, oh the choices.... Not disappointed on the "Pub Club" it was Yumi! It was full of all the things that make a "Club Sandwich", the kicker was it had "pepper bacon" on it! My sandwich was piled with meat cheese, tomato, and lettuce. Now this is where it gets interesting, I added some of the aforementioned "Fire Breather Sauce" to it, just a bit. It is freakin Habanero Pepper Mayo(ish) sauce, WOW or should I say YEOW! Not just hot but exploding with flavor. As stated, my lunch partner had the "Fire Breather" burger w/ added Pepper Bacon and Avocado. It was more than a mouth full of dripping yum. Meat done perfectly, nice fresh avocado, thick pieces of pepper bacon done to perfection. After seeing and eating the pepper bacon I decided to take home a BLTA with cheddar cheese. The onion rings were some of the best I have had in a while. Beer was cold and wet! Overall, a great meal and you will too. The words of the day today are "Pepper Bacon"

So when I saw this location of…read moreBellevue's largest microbrewery, my wife and I had to stop in for an early lunch with a sampling of beers. The food and beers were great. As the name states, the very large brewpub is located in the Spring District, inside the park/greenspace. The district used to be an industrial area, that has been transformed into a mixed residential/retail area, centered around the light rail transit station. The brewery makes great use of the outdoor space, with a lot of seating for an impromptu biergarten on nice days. This Tuesday was a typical March day in Seattle, which meant dining inside was a must. We ended up finding street parking a couple of blocks away, though they do have validated parking: in the underground parking right below (with under 10 dedicated spots) and the bigger Spring district Parking garage nearby. Amanda was our server, and she was super friendly, giving us suggestions. They have a large selection of house brewed beers, and we chose eight of the non-IPA ones as two flights, consisting of 4 5oz glasses (assuming it cost $12). We tried the Harvest Boom P.O.G. Wheat (this was our favorite one), Bothell Brown (liked this one), Snake Charmer Irish Red (strangely very mild for a Red), ChugMeister Mazren Lager (my second favorite). Second flight consisted of 1882 Pre-Prohibition Lager (very crisp and light), Muckle Flugga Scotch Ale (really like Scotch Ale in general, though hard to find on the West Coast...thought this version was OK), Schwarzbier Black Lager (different, very mild, really enjoyed), and a Der Kommissar Pilsner (super light with no body). I don't think I've been able to choose two flights of non-IPA in-house beers before...they keep a very large selection here, and it's worth coming to, just for the draft beers. We ordered some bar food that both of us like, and each plate was excellent. Shareable thick cut fries ($11) was very filling, especially since they were fried very well and were sturdy enough for dipping. Got Scotch Ale Chili ($13) and it was hearty, with plenty of pinto beans and good ground beef, with not too much chili powder. It came with housemade tortilla chips, which were thin and excellent. Wanted to try their beef birria, ordered their birria Nachos ($19) and it was really well prepared. Everything was diced into small pieces, used a really good beer cheese sauce and the the fresh guacamole was solid. For a brewpub, it has excellent bar food. The portions were large...we ended up taking about half of it home. Next time, will stay longer and try some of their main course dishes. The room was modern with plenty of windows for natural light. The central bar is huge, but there are plenty of bar tables as well, letting patrons decide how they want to dine/hang. My only complaint was that the payment process was at the table with only a tablet, and gave me no chance to look at the receipt. There is a parking garage just underneath that they'll validate parking for.
