Bompa's has got some major upgrades over the years and looks great. Food is awesome, free pool table play, rad history, nostalgic ambiance, great service and cozy outdoor seating right on Mainstreet. Come for the vibes/brews and always leave with a smile:)

Stopped here for lunch on our way to Leavenworth. Cool little bar with a lot of different sandwiches. We got the Cuban and outlaw. Both were delicious. The pretzel and beer cheese sauce was equally as delicious . They have a bunch of funny signs on the wall as well. This was a great lunch spot! Side note: the sandwiches were even better leftovers!

3.5 rounded up We're driving through Cle Elum on our way to Wenatchee and needed a stretch and lunch. Rustic hole in the wall type tavern. We liked it! No hard liquor - just beer, wine and sodas. Required ID for our "baby faced" 25 year old daughter even though we weren't drinking. That's not the norm for us - usually only needed if you're drinking - but not a problem at all. I like that they're on top of that. Randy and I shared the special which was a grilled chicken blt with a small side of potato salad. Our daughter got meatballs. The food was ok. No interesting takes on casual fair. The meatballs were like what I ate for school lunches when I was a kid so only meh. The sandwich and potato salad was about what you'd expect. What makes me round up for my review was the customer service. Both ladies - the one behind the bar as well as the one making the food - were very friendly and gave good customer service. And the place is so rustic cute. Clean bathrooms. Clean bar where we sat. Very good service.

Years ago (about 30), I remember Mike's Tavern. It was dark and uninviting to the passerby. But now, I was impressed! People were sitting outside in the little fenced in sidewalk area laughing and enjoying each other's company. Very inviting and as luck would have it, there was a small table open and waiting for us to join in the fun. The food was good! Not the typical bar food either. I had a quesadilla and my hubby had the gyro. Yummy! (See pics) Later that evening as we drove by, there was a big fire pit and music that certainly enticed people to come and enjoy this little slice of fun.

A group (4) stopped into Mike's for a brew while visiting Cle Elum. Free street parking can be found. Mike's is a cash only establishment. Mike's offers a couple outdoor tables in the front and a much larger outdoor seating area in the back. Mike's is following all the Covid19 safety guidelines that are currently in place: spaced tables, shower curtains between tables, max grouping of 5 people and placed hand sanitizer. The staff members were wearing the required PPE correctly. The staff was also diligently wiping areas down in order to maintain a germ free establishment. Mike's offers a nice selection of local craft beer. During our visit we all sipped on a couple beers for $5 each. The beers were served in plastic cups rather than glass pints. I'm not a fan of plastic cups. Overall, Mike's offers a safe and sanitary place to have a reasonable priced beer served by friendly staff. I look forward to stopping into Mike's the next time we're passing through Cle Elum.

Great stop driving down from Leavenworth. Cozy seating area outside and puppy friendly patio. Several craft local beers to taste. The sandwiches are tasty and homemade. We love supporting local businesses.

We always thought this place only served drinks. But it also has some really delicious food too. Mike's is super clean restaurant/pub that has delicious sandwiches, quesadillas, etc. I had the classic grinder (ham, cheese, Italian dressing, Mayo, Pepperoncinis, olives) and it was spectacular. Great bread; great flavor. My partner had the Cuban and it was equally delicious. Potato salad gets 5 stars too for great flavor and consistency. Mike's has some great local beers on tap too. Overall a great experience.

This quaint place offers a small area of outdoor seating and was the perfect place to grab some food and a a cold cider after a backpacking trip. Great cider and the grinders were pretty good. I wish they offered French fries! :( Good food, friendly service, and worth a stop in!

I upon entering, you are greeted with tables on the left side of the dining room, and a bar on the right side. It's probably seating for 40, and there are a large number of TVs for the size of the space. We stopped in on an evening when the Seahawks were playing, so it worked out very well! The bar is about two steps up from a dive, and had a nice array of nonalcoholic options in addition to the standard, small town, alcohol fare. The food was quite good, and pretty straightforward. It's pretty standard bar type food, with a couple of nice burger options, a couple salads, and a couple other fried options. We ended up with a number of different burgers, and a couple of salads. Everything was made when we ordered it, and was really good size for the price. Our waitress took really good care of us, and everybody left full and very happy with the decision to stop in! They're honestly was nothing we didn't enjoy it. The food, the service, the overall vibe and the price. We're all exactly what we were looking for. This is definitely a spot. Well... we finally did it... and shame on us for waiting so long. Such a very cool place and the vibe was great. An open concept inside, with a couple spots outdoors as you enter inside. My wife and I decided to split our meals and we ended up ordering the Chicken Tinga Street Tacos, as well as, a platter of Chicken Nachos. Both very delicious and the cilantro is simply supreme on this! The radishes was a nice touch, with some sauce over corn tortillas with that Cotiga cheese. I would prefer flour, but I'll take it! We also had the Saison which was light, a bit dry, crisp and sort of lemony. All in all, we enjoyed ourselves and the neighboring tables. Had some good conversations with local folks. As always, enjoy and Happy Mule Elking!

The tacos were a 10 out of 10, the fire pit was awesome outside and I note several little improvements wherever I look. Under the old ownership, things seemed to be slipping toward the end, but all that is fixed now. I haven't been at this place for a couple of years and was passing through so I thought I'd give it a shot, and I'm super glad I did. It is once again on my list of cool places to stop in my travels. Honestly, if your establishment holds 10 or 100 people, the staff and kitchen should be able to manage that number. We saw one table actually leave after waiting longer than us without their food because they had somewhere else to be. Not great. Once the food finally arrived we were so hungry that I'm certain anything would have tasted good. We didn't complain or ask but they did remove one soda from the tab. It's a cute place with a decent menu but I'm on the fence about bothering to give them another try.

They have table service as well, after 4pm. Service was very friendly and patient. I decided to eat downstairs, and there was a cozy bar and large seating area. My burger soon arrived and it was delicious! A great toasted bun and a wonderfully substantial and beefy patty. The cheese was rich and gooey. Great, yummy combination of flavors.
