McGlinn's is the best place to eat in Wenatchee. Great food, the decor is nostalgic, and the servers are awesome! Hard to choose which meal is best. Go for breakfast, lunch or dinner and you won't be disappointed.

It's hard to review an old friend! Since returning to Wenatchee three years ago, we have cycled around to most of the haunts we frequented 15 years ago, mostly restaurants where we had made friends with the wait-staff and owners as well. Sadly, many of them have moved on. But some still remain, and encountering them again is exhilarating. I always look forward to the hugs and squealing laughter.--"...where did you go and what have you done...? We've missed you!" McGlinn's Alehouse is the place we spent most of our time for the first five years of our marriage. It was originally the Orondo Tavern, built in 1922 as a solid brick two-story commercial building in the small town rural American style--big, open storefront windows on the ground floor, and small offices and apartments on the second, with tiny windows surrounded in iron bar planters. Such buildings have long narrow internal staircases up the right side entrance--one you'd never access unless to lived in one of those vaults upstairs. I finally returned to McGlinn's tonight. I had been meaning to, long before this, but there was never any parking in front --many restaurants now have covered sidewalk-cabanas out front--a code violation waved during the COVID pandemic. Inside, the left wall is still that half-block-long cabinet of all the liquor bottles you can imagine, multiplied in depth by the mirrors behind them. Down the middle of the room is one long continuous table that seats 14 people on a side--yes, strangers sit together. At the very back wall there is still, the largest brick open-hearth wood-burning oven you'd ever bake a leg of lamb and two pizzas in, at the same time. And down the right side-wall were six wooden tables-of-four, all sealed in a hard resin clear coat, as shiny and clean as they were vintage and rustic. I sat in the first chair at the first table, my back to the stairway down to bathrooms in the basement below the sidewalk. I had the Pulled Pork Sandwich with Tim's chips, a departure from the "John Paul Bacon Burger with pickled onions (McGlinn's is famous for). Ask to sit in Sadie's section--she's been there 20 years. McGlinn's has been there 34 years! What's not to like about an old friend! -------== ##### ==-------

    Chicken Cranberry Sandwich

Great and friendly service, our waitress was very attentive! Definitely a bar and grill type of vibe. I came with my boyfriend and mom and we all loved our dishes, my mom got the steak, boyfriend got a pizza, and I got the chicken cranberry sandwich. All very different dishes, so I'd say this restaurant is pretty versatile. The chicken cranberry sandwich was very unique in flavor, but everything worked so well together and was very fresh 10/10! Can't forget dessert, with the lime cheesecake and it was so creamy 9/10. Highly recommend this spot, I'll definitely be back to try more!

Spending some time east of the mountains, to enjoy some much needed sunshine and overall change of scenery. Went to Wenatchee, WA, to grab some yummy dinner and met some really cool people, at McGlinn's Public House ( @mcglinns_public_house ) downtown! Their Rib Eye Steak was juicy and delicious and their Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo was a light and the perfect amount! We also had to get some of their highly recommended desserts ~ Skillet Cookie and their Key Lime Cheesecake! Oh my! Looking forward to going back, to try more of their menu! #McGlinnsPublicHouse #WenatcheeWA #downtown #centralWA #eastofthemountains #WAadventures #foodieventures #supportlocal #supportsmallbusinesses Instagram: @NelzLovesIt

Blackened Salmon w/ Garlic Mashed Potatoes

You can tell by the picture what matters to me most and it's MASHED POTATOES - these were excellent sometimes garlic mashed potatoes are either too salty or too much garlic *dodges thrown shoe* but not here The salmon was prepared well but it was hoping it would have a little more of a kick. For me though it was the service and vibe that made me feel comfortable talking with family and enjoying a meal. I'm not from this neighborhood but if I was I'd make this one of my routine spots.

Went there with the family while staying in Wenatchee and it's probably the best restaurant in the city with a great selection of beer. Great service, good ambience really a lot of fun from babies to grownups.

McGlinn's Public House is such a fun spot in Wentchee to dine at with live music on the weekends, friendly staff, delicious food and is located in a historic building. It's one of the more popular places to eat at in Wenatchee, and I can see why after checking it out. We came here on a Sunday night and there was live music playing out on the patio, which is where we wanted to sit since we had our dog with us. We waited for about 20 minutes for a table to open up as this place gets busy on the weekends. The building used to be a pool hall and housed a Wenatchee baseball team on the upper level back in the day. Our server said it's haunted in some areas, which she has personally experienced...so kind of spooky! The menu features different, classic items to choose from like burgers, sandwiches, salads and a handful of entrees with beers and wine. My partner ordered the ribeye plate while I had the caesar salad with smoked salmon and a side of clam chowder soup. Everything was tasty. The clam chowder was nice and thick, with chunks of seafood. And the caesar salad was a huge portion with lots of smoked salmon. I can see why McGlinn's is so popular after checking it out as it has solid food and fantastic service. We had a good time here.

Wow ! What an experience not only was the food incredible and extremely affordable but we had the best server ever Brandy is super kind and helpful. I thought she was the owner because she loves what she does so much. I'm glad we met her and gave this place a chance we definitely recommend!

    Kids pepperoni pizza
    Opie T.

Family of six and was able to sit right away for dinner. Customer service was great, food was amazing, unfortunately I was only able to grab a picture of my chipotle bowl with blacken chicken and caught half of her kids pepperoni pizza. The place had a retro pizza/ bar and very cozy place on a date night or just a night out.

    Southwest salad...salsa has a kick!

Good food. Historic awesome surroundings. Great service. We're here for a soccer tournament and I was nervous about finding a legit restaurant, but now I'm happy and my belly is full of protein from the delicious southwest salad. Kid loved their kids' burger and even have some left over. Would recommend for sure. There's an outside seating area with water misters, too. They don't do fries.

Chocolate chip cookies we got to go.

Self-serve was easy---make your salad and weigh it at the register. My large tray salad (see pic) was $17.21. It was two meals worth! The ingredients were all very fresh with a few spectacular choices--crumbled blue cheese, artichoke hearts, diced red pepper, cubed ham, roasted chicken, hard-boiled eggs, pickled beets, Kalamata olives, and sweet pickle chips. I love blue cheese dressing, especially when I can choose the amount. Dilly's is a little diluted and lacks garlic, but the crumbled blue cheese made it all work. Also, salt and pepper was needed--if it was there, I didn't see any. But hey, this is the most complete salad bar I've seen in Wenatchee. I also took home a Tuna-Tuna sandwich for Sherrie--she loved it. I think we're hooked! There's a loyalty program--1 Star for every $10 spent, and 50% off next purchase after 10 Stars. Located on the main street of Wenatchee, Wenatchee Natural Foods offers organic, sustainable items, with lots of locally made products. It's not the largest grocer, but the selection was fantastic. We were able to get some grocery items here during our weekend trip and also tried the items that they prepare at the cafe area towards the back of the store. At the cafe area, they have a large menu of different drinks, with smoothies that are worth checking out. I loved the chocolate smoothie, which they make with almond butter and vanilla whey, so it's naturally sweetened. I also ordered a bowl, which you can make based on the different ingredients they offer, like a base of rice or beans, with different proteins and veggies. I customized my bowl with rice, curry chickpeas, avocado and steak and seasonal veggies and it served as two meals, which was delicious. For those wanting to dine in, they have a seating area on the side of the store, with outdoor seating where it's dog-friendly. It's a win for Wenatchee to have a store like Wenatchee Natural Foods, offering a great selection of healthy, wholesome items in a community-centric setting. Kids got the spaghetti and cheese off of the kids menu, both were solid, easy 4-5*. The salumi pizza was also solid, fresh ingredients, and baked well 4.5*. The porchetta was absolutely delicious, pork belly was done well and paired well with the rest of the ingredients, 5*. We got the charred brussel sprouts, but it was very charred and my wife almost wanted to ask for it to be remade. I didn't mind it too much, and just continued to eat (I was really craving for some cooked veggie), I finished majority of the portion so we didn't bother to ask for it to be remade. Our waitress was very nice, but there was a period where she disappeared (looked like she had her jacket on and went out to get something) and only asked us how the food were immediately after the food arrived and after we were pretty much done eating. Dessert was this crepe with Nutella ice cream inside, 5*. Overall it was an enjoyable meal, but given the price, this was a 4* experience.
