This restaurant is housed in a beautifully restored old home that has kept its original character, giving the place a warm and cozy atmosphere that's hard to find these days. There is a small parking lot nearby, which made parking convenient. The menu offers a good variety of choices, and the portion sizes are just right--generous enough to leave you feeling satisfied without wasting food, which I really appreciate. The presentation of each dish immediately caught my eye, showing that they put thought and care into every plate. I tried Mediterranean avo toast and it was delicious and very healthy option to to go with. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the service was quick without feeling rushed. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and seated quickly too. Our server was fabulous - so friendly and helpful and attentive checking our meals were good and giving water and coffee refills. We ordered a cinnamon roll. When she brought out the dish, there were two large ones on it because they're normally larger (!) and she wanted us to have the equivalent. It was hot and delicious and between the three of us, we polished off 2/3 of it right away. I ordered the veggie pesto hash. Soooo yummy. I ordered mine without zucchini because it's just not a breakfast veggie to me lol. I did not notice or taste any pesto in the dish but the hollandaise was excellent on top. I tried their gravy to determine what bread I wanted (biscuit was an option) and it was so good. I'm such a gravy snob and this was quite flavorful with a creamy texture. I could barely finish my hash so I didn't touch the biscuit and gravy but our daughter will have it for leftovers this week. Randy ordered the pig and vine bene with hash browns. The bacon on his was crumbles instead of actual pieces of bacon so that was disappointing and he said the hash browns were cooked inconsistently with some of it being overcooked and all of it lacking flavor. Corina ordered the three meat hash and liked it a lot. She could only eat half - the portions are large - so more leftovers for her. Great brunch spot for family and friends! It's located just off a main road, and the entrance is actually in the back where they have a small parking lot. Below the restaurant, on the lower floor, is a boutique gift shop. The restaurant itself is a cute house converted into a dining space. Our server was sweet and lovely. We tried the Belgian waffles, a side of bacon, the eggs Benedict (which came with bacon instead of ham), a kid's meal with grilled cheese, and the breakfast loco moco. When you visit a place with huckleberry in their name, well it only makes sense you try the huckleberry Belgian waffle made with huckleberry compote, sweet creamy mascarpone cheese, and covered in whipped cream. We also got another of their popular dishes the Meat Lovers that dines with a heaping amount of diced potatoes, chopped bacon and ham, diced german sausage and green pepper and onion, cheddar cheese, and smothered with sausage gravy and two eggs over easy. Long wait on a Sunday morning. Waiting area is so small most of us were left to stand out in rain. After 45 minutes we were seated. They cram lots of people in minimal space. Our waitress was very nice! The best thing was the children's hot cocoa and chocolate milk, they decorated them pretty cute and the kids said they tasted good. Our food was terrible. I got the original eggs Benedict, which came with paper thin bacon and eggs that were overcooked. My hash browns tasted like pickles, I had my husband try them and he too said they had a pickle taste. I sent my inedible food back. Staff is courteous but the level of service depends on how busy they are which is quite busy most of the time. The Pybus Public Market (The Huck) location is always busy so expect a long wait during busy hours especially on the weekends during spring and summer. Pybus Public Market (The Huck) has the best ambiance and people watching is the best as it is located inside the market building. Inside and outside seating available. I had to California Benedict. It looked like it was gonna knock my socks off, but it fell short. The restaurant is in an antique house built in 1919 super cool and the staff seems very friend . The California Benedict eggs were poached and they were OK, the potatoes had some type of herbal seasoning, but no salt whatsoever so they were very flat tasting to me . And when you have a hollandaise sauce, that's supposed to make up the difference, the hollandaise sauce actually added to the flatness of the dish. 6.9/10.
