With so much to choose from, I was torn between the Five Spiced Salmon Latkes and the White Cheddar Grits and Greens with sausage. I am so happy that they offer so many components as extras/sides as that allowed me to order the salmon latkes and a side of grits so I didn't have to choose. The Bear Bear Burger was apparently juicy and the sweet potato waffle fries were so good I could use of side of that next time when I am hitting this spot up at the beginning.

Love this place, my favorite restaurant in Leavenworth! We came here two days in a row for brunch…read morebecause it's that good. We tried shakshuka, miso mushroom toast, eggs Benedict, and potato latkse. Everything is super delicious and flavorful. My favorite was shakshuka - it was the best shakshuka I've had - super flavorful with enough spice. The mushroom toast is super creamy and umami, and the potato latkses are perfectly crispy. Eggs Benedict's were cooked well with creamy hollandaise sauce. Service was attentive and relatively fast. It does get busy on Sunday mornings. Sit outside if you can and enjoy the view!

Tasty hearty breakfast with kind and friendly staff…read more We came here twice during our visit to Leavenworth, and the second time the friendly lady at the restaurant recognized us and even remembered what I had the day before. I loved my plate. The Bavarian is a nice savory hearty choice for meat lovers, or for those who have a long eventful day of ahead of them. The potatoes were crunchy on the outside and perfectly cooked on the inside. The portion was huge for me, and I'm not someone with a small appetite. I ended up sharing most of the potatoes with my vegetarian partner, who ordered the avocado toast. Btw, he said the avocado toast was on the smaller side compared to the Bavarian, and it was actually perfect paired with another plate of sweet toast. The French toast was tasty too. I also ended up taking a few bites of it in between my Bavarian plate. In short, this is a lovely breakfast spot with friendly staff, reasonable prices, and generous portions. It's a place worth visiting again.

The grilled potato's were crispy and smoky filled with grilled bacons' meaty aroma. Grilled mushrooms were smoky and tender. If the over easy egges could have been cooked less would be better. The honey butter mixture was not overly sweet, the butter and honey perfectly mixed together as a great topping for the crispy outside and tender inside waffles. They offered maple syrup on the side as well. The Irish coffee was filled with the aroma of the Irish whiskey but not overpowering by it. It was a great blend. The server was so friendly, hospitable, helpful, totally recommend you!

Wow does this place need some help! I am so sad to write this review because this place was a…read morestaple in our book for so long, but today was bad enough that I am sure we will not come back. The wait here has always been long due to the size of the place, but today it was due to poor training and staffing. We walked in and these two girls are shouting at guests they are the only people working today and there is going to be a wait. Of course I sympathize. A few small tables are sat quickly but everyone else is told to wait. A party of 6 told them they were on a schedule and the waitresses told them it was fine. Being a small group we got sat, but there was a lobby FULL of people who stood there while we ate our whole breakfast. There were about 5 open tables but the waitresses didn't try to bus them and were running around like crazy and returning to the kitchen time and again empty handed. Eventually they shouted to the waiting area of people they were going to bus the whole restaurant (seriously) and seat everyone at once. Obviously no training here at all because the kitchen must have had no orders for 30-45mins and all of a sudden are going to get hit with a whole restaurant of orders at once so now the wait worsens - what a mess. The table of 6 that arrived at the same time as us was sat as we were finishing, but we never served. They left un-fed after an hour and a half. The food was fine but there was no excuse for the wait (forgot to mention this is a Monday at like 10:30 so not a breakfast or lunch rush happening, also not a weekend). This place has always been a dive and totally falling apart in regards to decor but it was forgivable because the food was good. I feel bad for writing this because those poor girls were working hard but they are completely untrained and the place was understaffed. There are SO MANY fantastic new restaurants in Leavenworth they are really going to have to step up their game to survive!!
