Enjoyed the salad, salmon was overcooked. Food quantity enough for 2 meals or sharing. Ordered online, pick up was easy and on time. Might've been a better place to sit down and eat. They had indoor and outdoor seating in the back.
I got the Garlic bread (3/5) and Hama Hama clams (3/5). The clams had good flavor, but I thought it would come with more broth after asking my waiter, especially for $23. He also made it sound like the bread was included instead of an additional $8 charge. Overall, I think it should've cost $15-20 instead of $31 total; I've gotten more clams with bread at restaurants in cities for an appetizer and less money. My friend also got a disappointing chicken bowl for $10 more than it should've been. The service was ok but a bit slow, and I also felt slightly misled about the garlic bread (3/5). The interior of the restaurant is nice and clean; definitely geared towards skiing and winter (4/5).
Came back this year to give yodelin another go. Definitely recommend making a reservation, we were so glad we did. The line for walk ups was huge! They have changed the space since I last came and just have the downstairs area. We were out on the patio which was lovely on a warm spring day. I got the mint refresher, peanut bowl, and we shared the garlic bread. The refresher was delicious on a hot day. I loved the peanut bowl and all the fresh vegetables in it as well as the cod and shrimp. The garlic bread was simple but hit the spot. Service was quick this time around. They also had live music.
Oh my....what a great experience! Came on a Mon night around 7PM and they had available tables on the patio. Great setting and view. The menu has so many great options, it was very difficult to narrow down to only one option! My bride ordered Kiwanda Rice Bowl and added the salmon and absolutely loved it. I went with the namesake Yodelin Bone Broth Soup with the recommended smoked cod and it was outstanding. It is super rare for me to order a soup for an entree when we go out to dinner - but this was so unique and flavorful I was so glad I did! Service from Elizabeth was so hospitable, friendly and prompt!
I tried the Yodelin dish if curry noodles garnished with radish slices. Overall a tasty experience and a treat to the palette. Had a sourness to it, I'm guessing from lime. If I didn't know better I would think some ingredient was spoiled. Even the bread pudding had a sourness. The chef must really like lime. The service and hospitality is super friendly and top-notch. And of course, so is the view and ambience
This place is excellent. I had the aloha chicken bowl which was flavorful and very fresh. All the ingredients went really well together. Everyone in the group enjoyed theirs as well. The cider was actually purple and was great too. You get an amazing view outside, and inside is nice and spacious too. We had a group of ten and our waitress was very nice and attentive.
Sitting on the patio looking over the creek w the mountains in the backdrop is the most incredible venue for a delicious bowl of soup. Came here early on a Friday and got seated right away. I got the hang ten bone broth soup and a side of their special halibut collar. The bowl is filling enough for one person and the broth is so creamy I definitely recommend. The halibut collar had so much meat but I wish it was more blistered like kamas that I get at Japanese restaurants. Still, a very filling and healthy dinner- perfect for my venture out to the enchantments afterwards
Stopped by Yodelin and had a really nice lunch. We ordered the wild salmon rice bowl and the Fish On cod burger: both were good and satisfying. The cod burger was flavorful, though a bit on the heavier side for my taste. The draft beers on tap were solid, and we loved how cozy and relaxed the atmosphere felt. Service was quick and friendly, which made the whole experience even better. Definitely a good spot to grab a casual bite in Leavenworth.
Food is absolutely amazing. Love the broths with à la carte add-ons. Flavors on point. You should probably get a reservation. There was a line out the door (in the snow) the first time we went. When we did get a reservation (next evening) it wasn't as busy. Service is...muted? Not cold but definitely not warm. Nice place. Not too loud. Not sure but I doubt there is dedicated parking. My only real gripe is the portion sizes. That should offer half servings. I'm on vacation...I don't really do leftovers. Lots of wasted food.
Nice fusion place!! This place is very cool!!! A lot of fusion dishes. Very interesting menu for a little town! Looooved my fish sandwich and my fiancé loved his Yodelin soup! The broccoli was also really good but a little too much oil at the bottom. Def a highlight of our trip!
We had good food, and since we spent 4 days in Leavenworth we're relieved to find a restaurant our dog could come to that didn't involve more bratwurst. The waiter was friendly and attentive. The food was good. I will note that several of the restaurant coworkers came in with their children and they just ran around and were very loud. It went from a great vibe to kind of obnoxious because of parents who were barely supervising their children. We left soon after that started. Still five stars; I will assume that's an anomaly and you should go try this place out.
My friend and I ate at this restaurant because my nursing preceptor recommended it, and the food was actually really good. The fish was very fresh, and I did not experience any food-related illness, which I am always cautious about when eating seafood, especially after hearing some bad stories from friends during their travels. The bratwurst that my friend ordered was also good -- nothing particularly standout, but well-prepared as expected. I will say, though, that the little baby salad on top of my fish dish was a bit underwhelming...There was not much of the vinaigrette sauce, so it felt more like decoration than flavor. I understand I could have asked for more, but it seemed like it was mainly for presentation. The drink that you see pictured below was my friend's order, but I got a taste of it. It was very tart and sour -- definitely eye-opening. That is not my preferred flavor, but if you like tart drinks, you might enjoy it. One thing I appreciated was that the directions to the restaurant in Leavenworth were clear! Just read the signs and look up from your navigation! The location is downstairs, which maps donot always specify, but the signage made it easy to find. When we entered, the atmosphere felt a little off, like people were looking at us -- perhaps because I am not white? lol idk...It may also have just been me feeling shy in a new space. The staff was okay -- nothing particularly stood out. They were not especially attentive to refilling water, so you need to ask for it yourself. At least the food arrived quickly, likely because the kitchen is efficient. The kitchen is really the standout here. One thing I found a bit unusual was the layout. Some tables are divided by large columns that support the roof, which can make it difficult to see or talk to others at your table if you are in a larger group -- maybe eight people or so. That is a minor detail, but it was noticeable to me. Overall, I would say the food, particularly the kitchen's execution, was the highlight of this restaurant.
The food is so good and healthy! I got the Thai Peanut rice bowl that I thought world beer mostly rice but I was super happy it had a lot of greens, veggies and it came with fish too. It definitely come back. Great service, nice vibe, ambience. Prices are a little high but hey, we're in Leavenworth.

Tasty for my Asian taste buds. I had the Hama Hama clams with the Yodelin soup base, and my partner had the Hollywood. I enjoyed the clams and finished the whole bowl. The soup was on the lighter and more watery side compared to the regular curry you'd get from other traditional Thai restaurants, yet it was still flavorful, and the lime really brought up my appetite. The garlic bread was really nice. They were definitely garlicky and the crunchiness was perfectly balanced, it gave you the satisfying crunchy texture without making you feel like you were chewing on a really dry bread. My partner said the portion of his plate was nice, and the soup was on the slightly more sour side. The ginger beer was truly gingery as it said. I could still feel the spiciness in the throat even after dinner! The staff were friendly too. Overall, it's a nice place if you want to try something other than Bavarian dishes when visiting Leavenworth. Oh they also have live music playing outdoors. read more

I was visiting Leavenworth with my parents and wanted to pick a spot I thought they would enjoy for dinner. I ended up choosing here and when we stopped by on a Saturday night around 5 PM, it was pretty lively. We waited briefly before being sat down and our server was very kind and accommodating. My parents and I got the clams and garlic bread as appetizers to share, and I also got a beer to go with my food. The garlic bread wasn't anything special and the clams were good! I got a Strait Salmon Burger and it was definitely one of my favorite meals I had that weekend. I finished every part of my meal: burger, chips, coleslaw, and pickles. The burger was so flavorful and I loved how the pickled onion and red pepper brightened the taste! I would definitely recommend this dish for anyone that enjoys salmon. There was live music which I kinda waited for. It was pretty good. I didn't try anything that I have eaten before, went with the local sourced cheeseburger withe the fixings and kettle chips My gf got the Thai peanut dragon bowl We got some beer they had on tap and a Hibiscus lemonade . To finish it I got the brownie with sweet cream it was GF and vegan, but still delicious. The waiter was quick on the service and friendly. The place was clean and nice atmosphere. read more
It took me straight back to Europe -- and yes, I felt like I was in a cozy little village in Germany... but with way better food! The view? Absolutely stunning. The staff? So sweet and kind, you feel instantly welcome. The food? To. Die. For. Every bite was flavorful, fresh, and comforting in all the right ways. And YES -- they have lots of gluten-free options, so yay for me and anyone else who needs it! Would I make the 5-hour round trip again just to eat here? HECK YES. Yodelin, you've got my heart (and my GPS pinned). read more
Had dinner at Yodelin and i will 100% be returning. The restaurant has a cool vibe, casual and interesting. Staff is attentive and friendly, service was very quick. Tried the Gardner and I think frozen dream cocktails. Both were nice, full of fresh basil or mint, I preferred the frozen dream but if you're looking for a G+T, the gardener was great. Had a yodelin sipper and wild salmon bowl for dinner and I was so full! It's nice to feel so satiated by a healthy meal on vacation, I think that's largely why Yodelin is so popular. The salmon in my bowl was excellent but what is exciting about Yodelin is that the protein is not the star of the show. The veg was so fresh and good quality and the dressing so tasty, My sipper was full of delicious curry broth... I think next time I'll have to try a full soup. read more

WOW was this amazing! We ordered the Yodelin soup and added salmon.. So much depth of flavor in the broth and very filling. We split the soup and had an order of the grilled cheese to go with it. Perfect amount of good for two people. Also loved that the outdoor patio overlooks a beautiful wooded area. read more

Visited Leavenworth and this was our first meal (lunchtime). We arrived before it opened on a Saturday and were promptly seated (you have the option sit indoors or outdoors). The restaurant is spacious and can accommodate big groups. We ordered their signature Yodelin (no protein) and Bahn Mi Sandwich (substituted the chips for a house salad), with the Garlic Sourdough Bread as an appetizer. Onto the food review... 1) Yodelin--This was like eating ramen/udon with with a rich sour coconut-milk broth and tons of vegetables like kale, radish, mushrooms, red bell peppers, and cilantro. The broth and radish were my favorite parts of the Yodelin as the broth had a unique bone broths flavor and the radish gave a nice crisp to the soup. 10 out of 10z 2) Garlic Sourdough Bread--Came in three slices and was smeared with a thick layer of garlic butter. The bread was soooo good; toasted crust and soft buttery inside. I just wish it came as an appetizer so we could have started eating it as an appetizer before our meals. 4.5 out of 5. 3) Bahn Mi Sandwich---If you want to eat a healthy meal full of vegetables, this is it! They generously packed the sandwich with fresh crispy veggies. The side salad was amazing as they really loaded on the radish. This has to be the best house salad we've ever had from the assortment of vegetables alone. 5 out of 5. Service was good and vibes were good as well; restaurant is clean and homey. Overall we highly recommend this restaurant in Leavenworth and will definitely visit on our next there! read more
Came here on a Saturday evening and we were able to be seated immediately. We found a paid parking lot about a 10-15 minute walk away. The inside is pretty big and they have some outside seating as well. We wanted something fresh after our hike and Yodelin really accomplished that!! We ordered two orders of the Classic garlic bread to start. There was a lot more Garlic bread than we thought. The menu has a variety of sandwiches, salads and bowls. Good for a variety of needs! My friend and I then split the PNW Wild Salmon Rice Bowl and the Aloha Chicken bowl. We enjoyed both of them! Everything so fresh and colorful! Prices were good and left very full and happy!! read more

My friends and I were visiting Leavenworth as a belated birthday celebration for me. It was also their first time in Leavenworth though. They let me decide what we should eat for dinner, as they were paying for my portion. I decided on Yodelin since the rating was fairly good and their menu was a bit more unique compared to the other restaurants in the area. We did not have a reservation, but luckily the hostess was able to squeeze us in between reservations! We were seated at a booth. It is dimly lit inside. It is quite cozy and casual. After asking for recommendations on what to order from our waitress, we all choose different items she recommended. We got the Classic Garlic Bread to share. Then, I ordered The Cheeseburger, which is served with Tim's Potato Chips, pickles, and Yodelin's cabbage slaw. One of my friends ordered the Yodelin Broth Bowl, which is a coconut yellow curry with wild halibut bone broth with udon noodles. Another friend ordered the Fish On! burger, which is a garlic butter broiled wild PNW cod with house-made tartar sauce and Tillamook cheddar on a bosket sesame bun. Each of the entrees were $18 and the bread was $7. The food turned out to be a bit lackluster in the end for us. We didn't expect the Garlic Bread to be actual slices of bread, but it was well seasoned. The broth bowl was interesting, but kind of small for the price. The burgers were a bit dry and a bit disappointing there weren't any fries to substitute the potato chips. It wasn't anything special, or worth trying again. read more

We came for lunch yesterday! Service was excellent, food overall I would give an 8/10. It's a little pricier than I expected, but it seems like the quality makes up for it. They have an environmental impact statement on the menu, which was lovely to know our dollar was supporting. My husband had the cheeseburger with small potatoes, the ranch that they have is zesty and WONDERFUL. I recommend. I had the Yodelin' soup with bay shrimp. The shrimp are extremely small, but they seem to give a healthy portion of them! My husband had two stouts that he really enjoyed and I had the house crafted lemon/lime-ade, which was SO good. I would come to this spot, but don't come expecting the traditional German fare that's present at most Leavenworth spots! If you want something a little different in Leavenworth and very PNW authentic, this is maybe your spot. The ambiance is also cute and cozy inside, featuring some nice wood touches and live music on Sunday nights. read more
Yodelin has been a favorite for some time, great to see they are maintaining a good reputation and menu. This is one of the few places you can go for a largely gluten free menu that isn't just lip service. All of our meals were really well done, I've never had anything bad here. Some local beers on tap and the owner was in the house as well. Stop in and enjoy a fresh meal! read more

We came across Yodelin on Reddit. They're marketed as a Seafood place on Yelp, but I would say they've got a bit of Asian fusion in their menu. We came around 5PM or so on a Friday after hiking outside of Leavenworth. We opted for outdoor seating because the view is amazing from the outside patio area. Our server, Lizzy, was very friendly and came to get us started quickly. I ordered a Ginger Soda while my partner got a Root Beer. We also ordered Chicken Satay (they don't normally have these on Fridays, but they happened to have them today - lucky!), Roasted Broccoli, and Classic Garlic Bread. My partner also got the Rooster Comb with the Roasted Mad Hatcher Chicken as protein, and I opted for the Moonlight with 5oz Wild Sockeye Salmon added. I think after the long hike, warm broth just sounded amazing to the two of us, but in hindsight, we probably could have just ordered one to share because these bowls were big. Roasted broccoli was delicious. We were definitely looking forward to some hearty veggies. The broccoli was roasted perfectly - not too burnt, and had a slight, toasty, crunch to it. Flavored with some ginger, garlic, and sesame seeds. Simple, but delicious. The Chicken Satay was unexpectedly really good. We originally asked if the Wingies were available, and it wasn't, which was why we opted for the Chicken Satay which happened to be available. The chicken fingers could be a little juicer, but the house made peanut sauce was delicious, which made up for the dryness. The noodle-like radish and cilantro added a nice, refreshing touch to the dish. As for the garlic bread? Can't go wrong with that. And on sourdough pieces? Even better. It was comforting. Finally, our broth bowls. I think because the meal started off really strongly, I was expecting the broth to be really good too, but I didn't find it particularly special. I can definitely see the appeal to it when Leavenworth is known for pretzels and Bavarian sausages and you want to stand out as something different, but I've had more udon bowls and miso soup than I can remember, so it was just okay. The salmon was a tad more cooked than I wanted it to be too. I think the most disappointing part was that the udon was not chewy at all so it's missing that satisfying bouncy bite to it. On the other hand, I think my partner's bowl of Rooster Comb was much more hearty and what I would look for after a hike. It was a bowl of comfort, though I probably wouldn't add additional protein to the bowl if that was my order. All in all, we enjoyed our time here! Most of the food was great, view was amazing, service was amazing. If you're looking to eat in Leavenworth, but something on the healthier and heartier side, Yodelin is your place. I love that their menu items are labeled as dairy free or gluten free if applicable. read more
Absolutely scrumptious, big portions, humble service, live music and casual ambiance. They have both outdoor and indoor seating areas. Like most of the places in Leavenworth, expect a wait-time but the food is all worth it. They have a perfect view to the river and fireworks and generously open the doors for their patron's to enjoy the view on the cold evenings. One of the best experience eating healthy and tasty food. For all the health conscious people, this is your spot. All the people who want to eat something delicious, this is it. It has something for everybody, vegetarian/vegan or not. read more

This was place hoppin. I would definitely recommend calling ahead for a reservation so you don't have to wait too long. When we finally made it inside it was really nice. We had this nice table that only had one other table so we were able to talk and have a nice relaxing dinner. I ordered the Yodelin bone broth bowl with roasted chicken. It was SO good! The broth was both creamy and rich and I loved the udon noodles. It came with a generous portion and I ended up having to take half back to the hotel room. It made a great lunch the next day. My husband ordered the salmon grain bowl that came with a Thai peanut sauce. He said it was okay but thought the salmon overpowered the sauce and it didn't work well together. We also ordered garlic toast which just ended up being three actual slices of toast with garlic. I guess I was expecting a little more for $6.99. Next time we would pass on that. Overall, this was a nice dinner and we will absolutely go back and try it again. read more

After a flight into Seattle and long drive through the snow into Leavenworth earlier this year, I wanted some simple takeout to enjoy at our room with those village lights at the Bavarian Lodge since Yodelin doesn't have a view being downstairs. Yodelin was walking distance so we ordered and picked up after checking in. We got the Yodelin and added a 5 oz cod for an additional $10. I was more of a fan of the noodles and broth than the cod so opted to just get it as is, without add ons a few days later. The PNW Salmon rice bowl seemed more of a salad than a rice bowl as there was way more cucumbers and greens than there was rice, so be aware it is on the lighter side.
