Located on front street, this brewery is a must when you visit the area. Not to mention the warm Bavarian pretzel with beecher's cheese sauce was the best! Lots of seating and cool decor in the brewery. This was my second visit to Leavenworth and I had been dreaming of this return visit to Icicle Brewing since my very first time 5 years ago. It was everything I dreamed of. I typically go for the Alpenhaze but the server recommended the seasonal Enchantments Jabberwocky and it was delicious. Pretzel was decent but I think there are better ones in town. Next time I will order an extra side of cheese sauce, I didn't have enough but didn't want to get up to order more. Always a stop whenever we pass through Leavenworth. The beer is tasty and the setting is wonderful. Dog friendly outside and very easy to order. The food is a great compliment to their beers, all while following the Bavarian style within the community. Taking a stroll through Leavenworth, we decided to stop here and check out their menu. We ended up ordering a turkey sandwich with sun-dried tomato spread. Very tasty. It was on sourdough bread and served with kettle type chips, and a large pickle slice. Really nice location. You can eat indoors or out. We ate in the basement where there was a giant tv screen showing the world series. Very friendly greeting and the you young man waiting on us knew the menu well and helped us make our decisions. Icicle brewing is one of our favorite pubs in Leavenworth! Their beers are fantastic and our kids love the indoor gondolas (they are pretty awesome!). There's seating outside and on the main floor as well as upstairs and downstairs, so be sure look around for a spot that meets your needs. The staff is friendly and quick, you can always find someone to help get you a spot. The food is pretty good as well - last time we were in I ordered the grilled cheese and tomato soup which was fantastic! Just the right amount of spice I was looking for. Leavenworth is full of all kinds of eating and drinking establishments. It's a major stop on the Cascade Loop and it does a great job catering to the masses. We were in the mood of some good beer and snacks so we decided to checkout Icicle. Here's my take on the experience: Quality of food/drinks: Good. We got a German pretzel to share that came with a warm Beecher's cheese dipping sauce. I gotta say...it was the freshest softest pretzel that I have ever had. It was warm and wasn't overloaded with salt. For beer we tried their decadent Dark Persuasion which is a German Chocolate Cake Ale. The beer tasted very rich and very satisfying and paired nicely with the pretzel. Décor: like a brewery. There was a first level and a ground level that provided plenty of space to sit and socialize. Cleanliness: good. The tables and the bathroom was clean. Service: good. You have to place both your food and your drink order at the bar which is a little weird. You get the beer right away and have to carry it back to your table. The food comes later based on the number that they give you to display at the table. Price: typical. The pretzel was $8 and so was the beer. If you're in the mood for some really good and fresh German pretzel paired with a local Washington beer then Icicle is a great choice. read more

We came by for drinks midweek, the week following Octoberfest. Delightfully, we had the place mostly to ourselves. We didn't try the food but the staff was happy to assist when we placed our drink orders, offering samples, etc. They did have some good food offerings and also to-go beverages for sale. Fun place. Probably one of the few places open late. They do close at 10 on weekdays. We went on a Wednesday and they were having a ping-pong tournament. They have upstairs seating,, outside, seating, main level seating, and downstairs seating. The day we went, it was raining, so the outside seating wasn't fully available. Inside was very busy. We ended up seating at the bar down below downstair where they were having the tournament. They have food and of course beer on tap. I did notice they have a lot of IPAs. I got a stout. I loved it Not too rich. I ordered their pretzel. It is a typical soft pretzel. Be careful with the mustard. It opens up your sinuses for sure. The vibe is very laid back. I have had their beer before so i was super excited to try their beer right at their brewery! Its crazy to say it tastes different drinking from the can vs drinking from on tap. Obviously, drinking from the tap is the better way to go. I ordered the Dark Persuasian. The taste is clearer, tasting more of the dark chocolate and coffee. They have kombucha but it isnt hard kombucha. They seemed annoyed when my husband turned down the kombucha and just opted for a veggie palette. Was probably a busy and hectic day so i get it as people had packed the outdoor seating. There is indoor seating available downstairs and upstairs. There is also a few tables inside right in their lobby. Overall, will come back here again. Was a good visit on a Sunday to start my last relaxation day of the weekend. read more

First off, get the porter. Whether or not you prefer dark beer or not, it's phenomenal and hits the right balance of roasted malt without being too heavy. This place can get busy on a weekend (we waited 30 minutes to get in) so plan accordingly. The decor is hip and trendy and the service is friendly but you may need to be a bit patient because getting someone's attention for service can also take a minute. We ordered a flight of different beers along with a pint of the porter and also a pretzel. Again, the porter was the clear winner. The pretzel is a pass from me. It was definitely nowhere near fresh and even bordered on the stale side. Overall, this is a cool modern brewery in the middle of a town with old German roots. It's a welcome addition but there are SO many other breweries in Washington worth visiting, this one should be in the middle of your pick list. read more

The best part of a very touristy German town. A much larger facility than I thought it would be, three levels of seating and an outdoor patio. Ordered a flight of beer and a pretzel from the counter and proceeded downstairs to sit where it was a little cooler (it was still quite warm, although it was 98 degrees outside). The beers were great and the pretzel is supposed to be one of the best in Leavenworth and it was. Great texture on the outside and fluffy on the inside; with the right amount of butter and salt. We rolled into town, dumped our stuff at our Airbnb and walked right into this place. It was hot and we had a pup - so we looked for a shady spot and luckily they had a sprinkler system running (as do one or two more restaurants att). It was tricky but it worked - many other dogs around. We loved the ordering system - just click the QR code, they already know your table, you order on your phone and done. They bring you your food. Absolutely genius way to handle a crowd. We loved the heavy wooden tables. Loved the decor in general and all the staff were friendly. We only wish there were a few more food items on the menu. That said, the food was delish - we had the pulled pork sandwich, the grilled cheese sandwich, and the tomato bisque - dip your grilled cheese into the bisque! YUM!
