4.5 stars. This is not a typical place to stop for me, but I am so glad I did. What we got: Garlic fries, poutine fries, pulled pork nachos, and Seattle dog. Listen, we're from Texas - these are probably top 5 best pulled pork nachos I've ever had; the chips were fresh, the ratio of it all was perfect, 10/10. Both garlic and poutine fries were AMAZING - fresh, crispy, and beautifully seasoned. My friend said her Seattle dog was good, but not something that blew her mind. Atmosphere: Like I said, not my typical place, so I won't critique too harsh here. It was fairly clean and I like that there was natural light pouring in. Very mediocre. For the "chicken wings and drummies" came and not a wing in sight. All drum sticks. Asked if that's how it typically is, server said no not usually. And that was that. They were not crispy like the menu states, so if you like crisp outside ask them to cook more. Had chicken nachos that were so bad. Soooo bad. Cheese layer so thick on top that was not melted at all. Lots of TV's which was great to watch college football on Saturday. Even at night when we came back for drinks it was very cool place with great service. We came across this place just as we were giving up for the night since everywhere else was closing down on a Sunday. Came here after a recommendation from someone at München House which came in so clutch. I agree with some folks here, the service isn't that great, but coming from the city, we're used to it. Other than the service, the place itself is pretty cool, you have full views of everything from up there, including the downtown area and mountain views if you happen to sit in one of the corners of the restaurant. Also liked their wooden cubby booths, we sat in one of those and it felt cozy and private since we were chatting it up. We needed to kill some time before our dinner reservation and thought getting a drink at The Loft sounded like a good idea. When we got to the top of the stairs, we adhered to the "Please wait to be seated" sign and kind of stood there for a good 5 minutes before anyone noticed us. The lady who I guess was the hostess (but also a waitress) kind of sternly told us to wait outside. While we waited, some other couples walked in and did not adhere to the sign. Anywayyyy, within about 10 minutes, we were seated at a little booth. Our server was nice and patient with us. She seemed to be a little apologetic or empathetic towards our situation at the door. We ordered a round of drinks and left. The Nectarine Dream I ordered was sweet and fruity, but also pretty strong. I would get it again if I were to ever go to the Loft (maybe not when it is so crowded next time). It would also be nice to be seated by the window, but I guess that's for another trip to Leavenworth in the future. read more

We tried coming here on the first day of our trip, and were met with a rude and cold door guy/ host who didn't provide any information about seating and every question asked was met with "no." and no other elaboration and he barely even looked at us when speaking. I understand needing to control the front but it was just very unwelcoming and rude. Despite this, we came back the next day because we really wanted to try the food and thankfully that guy wasn't there this time and it was a seat yourself situation. We got the jumbo pretzel with beer cheese and it was really good, I also got a margarita which I didn't really like and ended up sending it back, but the server was really nice about it. We asked for more recommendations for drinks and she recommended some sour patch kid shots that she said the bartender was really good at and they were amazing. They had a sign in the bathroom for disposable breathalyzers and I thought that was a super fun and unique thing to do, we had never seen anything like that before. Went there with my daughter a couple of weeks ago. It was a little busy but not horrible. It took the server a while to see we were there and when she finally got to us we ordered drinks. It took quite a while to get them but we knew she was busy so we were fine. We both ordered burgers with garlic fries. Here's where it gos wrong. I saw our burgers in the window about 10-15 minutes after we ordered them. At first I wasn't sure they were ours but unfortunately turns out they were. I saw them sit there for at least 10 mins when the cook put a couple plates of what looked like pasta next to the burgers. I watched as she reached around the burgers to grab those plates and deliver them to a table of 2 that arrived after us. The burgers sat in the window for almost 10 more minutes, as we were ready to walk out she finally brought them to us. We drove all day and were very hungry or I would have sent them back but knowing a few more tables arrived if I did that we would not eat for another 46 minutes. The fries were ice cold and the burger was lukewarm. Too bad because they were pretty decent cold, I'm thinking they might have been great hot. read more

We visited Leavenworth, WA to check out the Bavarian-themed town and found it to be very touristy, which I suppose is likely the point. I mean, it did get us to drive out there from Seattle. We didn't find much that would bring us back a second time, but the Loft did have some good food. It was VERY loud but that was mainly due to a bridal party celebrating a few tables away from us. So, not really the establishments fault. Regardless, my wife and I enjoyed our meals. A couple comes up past us and schmooze themselves to Victor, the door man. Victor offers them a seat at the bar. We were staying for the game so we assumed another server would take care of us- well that didn't happen and anytime we tried to get someone's attention we were ignored and we would get some dirty looks from the server assigned to our area. We came here at around 7:30pm on a Friday night and fortunately found a table right away for a party of 6. This place is in the middle of the main Leavenworth area and has a dive bar feel which is different from other places in the area. The Loft doesn't feel as touristy as other places and has a lot of TVs playing sports. We ordered the pork belly tater tots ($11.99) and poutine fries ($12.99) to share for the group. Both were really good but I preferred the tater tots more. The only thing for the poutine fries is that instead of cheese curds they use shredded cheese on top. I liked the tater tots so much that the next night I stopped by again to get another order of the tots to bring back to our Airbnb. For drinks I ordered the Woodinville old fashioned ($14) which was very good and one of the better old fashioneds that I've had. For food I ordered the shroom and swiss burger ($15.99) which was pretty good. The caramelized onions along with the cheese really make the burger, and it definitely helped that I was starving. The thing that takes me to a 5 stars is that The Loft is open a lot later than the other restaurants in Leavenworth. This place is open until 11pm/12am while many other places are open closer to 9pm/10pm so I appreciate the extra few hours to stay out a bit later when options are limited. read more

Looking for a local bar to have a typical Sunday at with a few cold beers, apps and the game, The Loft delivered. Most of the other places around Leavenworth are brewery's, wine cellars and such, really catering to tourists. Even as a tourist, sometimes you want that local watering hole. First off I like their new location. Not too often are you're in a bar you're elevated. If anything you're in a basement. The Loft as it's name may imply is on the second floor so catching glimpses of people out on the street is cool. You cant be disappointed with beer here. Well over 10 craft drafts here. 7 Euro drafts and of course bottles and domestics. Even some nice craft cocktails to choose from. Rolled in here, also to find that this is a 'Hawks' nest for Seahawks fans, the place had a nice vibe. For an app we got the pulled pork nachos. They were awesome. The pork had a great sweet flavor. Only criticism is some of the chips were a bit burnt as was the cheese. Still really good though. From there it was just a good time. The bartenders and waitstaff were nice and made good recommendations. If you're in leavenworth and looking for a more local spot with lots of drink options. Come to The Loft. read more

What a great little "secret" spot. As we were walking in the rain, we were looking for a place to have lunch. Everyplace was crowded with lines that had wait times of 30 minutes or more. I spotted a sign on the street that beckoned us to come up the stairs and visit. Wow! We were pleasantly greeted by the "security" hostess that said we could bring our dog and come in right away. Party of 4, 3 starters and 3 burgers. We had the wrapped sausage pops, the pork belly tater tots and the poutine. All were very tasty. The dipping sauce for the tots and pops was very tasty. My friends and I came to The Loft to grab a bite after our Historical Mill/Railroad Walking Tour and we were able to be seated quickly indoors! The Loft was in a convenient location within the town. It was a really toasty summer day and I'd say the indoor seating definitely helped cool us down! Our server was super nice and we got our water, drinks, and food without any delays! Also I think she was an MVP for working a 13 hour shift that day/night (she was also our server during the nighttime as well)! And I was surprised she was able to easily split our bill separately even when we had a somewhat large party (7 of us gals)! I really liked the Honey (it's Huney but printed on their menu as Honey) jun kombucha - I usually am 50:50 with liking kombucha (some taste like stomach acid to me??) but this one was light and did not have an overpower flavor, it was refreshing! Food wise I got the pork tacos which was an appetizer but felt like an entree (they gave you a lot)! I am a taco snob and I'd say the tacos weren't horrible but not amazing either, but if I'd been drunk I'd probably like that as my drunk person food! But I'd say the tortillas were very fragile and the contents of my taco fell out a ton- I might recommend an additional tortilla below each taco to help maintain the structure for the tacos so they are functional and all of the ingredient will end up in my mouth instead of on the plate or my lap. :( Summary: 5/5 on service, 5/5 location, 3/5 on food , 4/5 drinks = 4/5 stars overall! read more

Just spent 4th of July weekend here, my boyfriend and I came here two days in a row on Friday and Saturday. Self seating - service is incredible! Everyone was so attentive. My wife and I were visiting Leavenworth for the day and decided to stop by The Loft Bar and Grill for some drinks and snacks. The service in this place slow and it took approximately 15-20 mins to really get assisted. We sat at the bar and we ordered two appetizers and 2 drinks. The chicken nachos were delicious and we really liked all the veggies that were added. It had the perfect amount of veggies, cheese and meat. The Poutine Fries were a bit disappointing. The dish did not have gravy on top of the fires. Instead there was a a blend of cheese and meat. The drinks were really good. We stuck to the mules tonight and happy to say we were not disappointed with our drinks. Giving this place a 3/5 due to slow service. I would recommend this place for snacks and drinks only. I came in on a busy Saturday, so there was a wait, but compared to all of the other food joints around, waiting 20 minutes was seriously nothing at all! We got seated pretty quickly and we're ready to order right away since you can scan the menu and look at it while you're waiting to be seated. It's first come first serve, and they don't take down your name, so you'll have to stay in place. Again though, 20 minutes - not bad! The two that were working outside were GREAT. They were super attentive and so friendly, recommending a drink off the menu that I ended up loving, and checking up on us frequently. Our food also came really fast after ordering! We got the pretzel first that came with beer cheese, then the Classic Beer Brat and German Dog& Bacon Seattle Style. The food was just okay, nothing too special, but I enjoyed it all! Fantastic food. My girlfriend and I ordered the Swiss cheese and mushroom burger, I got the blue cheese burger. Beef had a nice grit to it, cooked perfectly. The bacon was thick and well-done.
