Hunter's schnitzel
Selina H.

The hunter's schnitzel was soo delicious. The outside was super crispy and the pork wasn't dry. There was so much flavor, especially with the mushroom cream sauce they had on it. The cabbage is kind of sweet sour which was a nice balance to the savory umami of the mushroom sauce with the cutlet. I tried a bit of the beef goulash and it had good flavor as well but too salty to eat any more than a bite. I'd come back for the schnitzels though!! I'd say I liked it better than Andreas Keller which is a super popular schnitzel restaurant just downstairs from this restaurant. Plus, we didn't have to wait long! The ambiance of this restaurant was nice. There was live music! The place is quite small though so the seating is kind of crowded and a little odd. Our server was a little awkward too and the food took a while to come out. Another con is this place was quite pricey, but expected.

Elderflower spritzer
Erica H.

Absolutely loved everything about this restaurant! The food was amazing, I started off with an elderflower spritzer, TOO good! Tasted just like the kind I had in Austria. Then the fondue appetizer was too yummy. The potatoes were absolutely top tier. For dinner I got the spatzel, and it was just so yummy and comforting. I want to try the mushroom gravy on top next time. Then for dessert I got the apple streusel and it was sooooooo good! Definitely recommend!

Chicken Schnitzel Paprika ($26/ small order)

It was definitely my favorite meal there. We stumbled upon this gem for a late lunch on a Monday. Walk-ins are welcomed. S e r v i c e Staff was courteous and accommodating. We had a large group with a baby and they seated us comfortably in a private room. F o o d *Chicken Schnitzel Paprika ($26 for half order): tasty chicken breaded with a nice crust, and the sauce was flavorful. It paired well with the house made spaetzle (egg noodles) served on the bottom. The cabbage steak included was sweet with a good amount of acidity from the balsamic glaze. Definitely a shareable dish with the full order. *A la carte - Bratwurst ($8): the Andreas Keller mustard included was amazing and worked so well together. I'd order this again hands down. *Parmesan Garlic Truffle Fries ($14): crispy shoestring fries had a nice light truffle flavor. It makes a great starter/ side. A m b i a n c e Charming spot with Mozart music (of course) over candlelight. Overall, this is a must visit in Leavenworth for a delicious Austrian-inspired meal.

Austrian Zwiebelrostbraten with an extra side of Spätzle
Martin R.

I have been back a few times since my last review and honed in on their Austrian Zwiebelrostbraten, a rare delicacy that I was first acquainted with near the Golden Dacherl in Vienna. This is basically a ribeye topped with roasted crispy onions, a brown sauce and various sides. I'm unaware of where else on the West Coast this would be served and the chef at Mozart executes this very well. In fact, they combine the crispy onions with some soft, sautéed onions which makes for a wonderful combination. I ordered this with an extra side of Spätzle, which I also highly recommend. I also had an appetizer salad that came with a super acidic vinaigrette that almost burned a hole into my esophagus; guessing this was a cheap store-bought product because I deem it nearly impossible to create this at home with any kind of decent ingredients. Let's keep it real with a one point deduction. Atmosphere is cozy with dim lighting; and on this very warm summer evening I also noticed the pleasant blow of cool air from an AV vent.

Jagerschnitzel

I got the lunch menu jagerschnitzel. It was a decent sized serving. I would have preferred mashed potatoes to spatzle. Their beer selection was not that great. We were hoping for something a bit more special since it was Oktoberfest but they were pretty generic and also 22 oz was the largest size. The restaurant felt very homey and warm.

Stopped by Mozart Restaurant while visiting Leavenworth and had a pleasant dining experience. I ordered the fondue plate, and it did not disappoint--everything was rich, flavorful, and delicious. The bratwurst, however, was a bit of an acquired taste and was colder than I would have liked. That being said, the drinks were excellent, and the service was friendly and attentive. Given the time of year, the restaurant was pretty empty, which made for a quiet and relaxed atmosphere. Overall, a nice spot to enjoy a meal in Leavenworth, especially if you're a fan of classic European flavors!

Mozart's Marzipan Torte

Such a nice place to enjoy a meal. The food is delicious and the drinks are decently big. Everything was so yummy. The gnocchi was good and it was filled as well. The fondue was already filling itself but we managed to finish everything. The dessert was pretty good too. It's a bit too sweet for me but something I would share. The waiter was nice and attentive to us.

Absolute best dining decision on our day trip to Leavenworth! We are visiting family in Washington and decided to check out the known Hallmark like Christmas town called Leavenworth. I knew the weekend after Christmas would be busy with families visiting so I made a reservation for 4pm Friday, December 27th. Before arriving for our reservation at Mozarts, we walked around the village and visited another little spot for drinks where the bartender mentioned that mozarts was a great dining choice! We were very excited when she said this. When arriving for our reservation, we walked up a set of stairs to the top where we were greeted by the host. He checked us in and we waited about 5 min. for the table to be ready. It's a small restaurant that was fully booked (at 4pm), and I heard the host on the phone mention to someone that they are booked for the rest of the evening and won't be taking additional reservations or walk-ins, with that being said, if you are visiting during peak season make sure to go on their website and reserve your table well in advance. I had requested a window table on our reservation and they honored that request without me reiterating it to them. After being seated, we were greeted by our server who was WONDERFUL! I believe her name was Maria, but I may have gotten that wrong. She was super attentive, cheery, and knowledgeable of the menu. We ordered the hungarian goulash, schnitzel, and gnocchi (added shrimp). Everything came out within a reasonable time frame, and looked AMAZING! Back story, my dad is from Austria and passed 3 years ago, this was the first time in a long time I was able to eat hungarian style goulash and schnitzel with the same taste I was used to growing up. The emotional feeling I had, was overwhelming and I was so happy the whole table enjoyed it just as much as I did. Everything was PERFECTLY cooked, tasted great with perfect seasoning, and the portions were PERFECT! I wish I was able to eat here all the time, and sad I'd probably never be back. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Leavenworth. If you want great food, and are on the fence on which spot to visit... just take this review and use it to weight your decision towards Mozarts. Thank you Mozarts for giving me the best dinner I've had in a very long time.

HUNTER'S SCHNITZEL $35

Cozy Austrian restaurant conveniently located on the plaza. You will want to make reservations here, especially during the holidays as a chance to get very busy. Location is perfect, the food portions are filling, and a service is quirky, can be a little slow, but it's polite. Let's start off with the FONDUE $32 which is always fun for the entire table. And while I love escargot, their ESCARGOTS WITH WILD MUSHROOMS $30 it is more like a creamy mushroom soup poured over bread and it's a little much for me. Especially if you're also getting the fondue. For entrées, I highly recommend the MOZART'S PLATTER FOR TWO $89 although with all this food, you can easily share between four, especially if you're having an appetizer and maybe a salad. The platter comes with: roasted pork hock, Käsekrainer and Bratwurst, schnitzel, fingerling potatoes, roasted red cabbage steak. It's huge. Wanting a little less? You can also split my favorite, the HUNTER'S SCHNITZEL $35 covered in a creamy mushroom sauce and served with Spätzle and a cabbage steak. Wine selection is small, but offers good pairings for your food at a fair price. I like the Albariño $36 to start followed by the Côtes du Rhône. I found the service in both the main restaurant upstairs and they're more casual offering downstairs to be slow but friendly. But really, where do you have to go? Enjoy this time with your friends and family over large portions of quality food and a cute little town.

Omran A.

Nice restaurant in a cool Bavarian town. Cozy, classy, and exactly what you want after wandering around Leavenworth pretending you're in Europe. We started with the escargots with wild mushrooms. Now, I'll be honest: escargot is not really my jam, but that sauce? Oh man. Herb butter, creamy, garlicky, mushroom-y perfection. Honestly, if they just served the sauce with bread, I'd be perfectly happy licking the plate clean while side-eyeing the snails. Next up was the hunter schnitzel (chicken). It was... good. Not great, not bad, just sitting comfortably in the "solid but not wow" category. Let's call it the supporting actor, not the star of the show. Now the House Salad: not my thing as a carnivore person. But honestly? This thing slapped. Super fresh, balanced, crunchy, sweet, tangy. Overall, Mozart's is a gem in Leavenworth: charming vibe, great service, and some dishes that really shine. Not every plate hits a standing ovation ,but when it does, you feel like Mozart himself just dropped the mic.

Service was excellent! The hostess was extremely nice, not only did she give us a table with a view she filled in when our waitress was busy serving others.

10/10 Ambiance!! Service was friendly and the tasty food exceeded our expectations. We booked reservations the day prior to our trip in Leavenworth and was seated a bit sooner than our actual appointment time because we were a bit early. Thank you for enchancing our trip!

Pork Schnitzel Sandwich

This is a great place! We ended up here after not wanting to wait in line at other establishments. Beautiful place with window seating. Schnitzel is on par with other places, but it's their homemade spaetzle and mushroom sauce that made it a home run. Dined twice and feel this is highly underrated.

Delicious Drinks!

The focaccia bread set the tone right away, light and fluffy on the inside with a perfectly crisp, well-seasoned crust. Honestly hard to stop eating it. The wine selection was thoughtfully curated and had great options to pair with everything on the menu. The pappardelle was cooked to perfection, rich, balanced, and clearly made with care. The lasagne had a slight crust on the outer noodles, but still came together as a really satisfying and flavorful dish. We finished with the tiramisu, which was a standout. Light, airy, and full of flavor. It practically melted in my mouth. Service was just as impressive. Our waiter checked in at all the right moments, attentive without ever being intrusive. Highly recommend if you're in the area. Definitely worth the stop.

We were here on an off season time so I would highly recommend reservations. The menu is small which I love because I don't have to many items competing with each other to order. I decided to order a board as an appetizer with 2 meats, 2 cheeses, and a side. Huge happy dance with this one, the honey ricotta was amazing, deviled eggs huge smiles, burrata was perfect, salami and prosciutto beautiful. On this day they had two specials butternut squash ravioli and a sea bass. We chose the ravioli with added chicken, it had a good taste however did not compete with the other dishes (still did a happy dance with each bite). There is a kids menu, we had the fettuccine with chicken, good side for kids. They also have shrimp or just cheese fettuccine, pizza, and lasagna. Our main courses we had the eggplant parm, perfectly cooked with a side caprese salad. Mushroom and chicken fettuccine amazing flavors and a good portion. For desert we had the apple bread pudding, to die for, a cookie pie and chocolate mouse type dessert (I forgot their names), all very good. We wish the bread and olive oil was complementary, but thats okay. We got a ceaser salad to share and then my husband got the rabbit ragu and I got the Bolognese con tagliatelle because I was sharing it with my daughter. Our waitress asked if we wanted pepper on our salad and we said yes, but she never came with it. We did get it on our pasta though! My dish was good, but wished I would have gotten my original dish I wanted, however waitress said it might have been too spicy for my kid. One funny thing that happened was another waiter accidentally brought another tables food to our table. He put a spaghetti in front of my daughter and when we said it was the wrong table, our daughter was so mad. To make up for it, the waiter had sent over some gelato for her! I thought that was a sweet gesture. Great italian food and lots of good drink options. We would definitely eat here again.
