A shell of its former self. My wife and I have eaten here every time we've visited Leavenworth. It used to have a menu with good variety and high quality ingredients to match its middle price point. They used to serve great burgers, but don't have a single burger on their menu anymore. It's clearly under new ownership. They don't do table service anymore. Their menu is mostly pasta and pizza, with a few dive bar quality appetizers at bougie restaurant prices. Not finding any entrees that looked good (one of us is gluten free and the other is low carb, so pizza and pasta are non starters), we ordered the crispy meatball and smoked cheese stick appetizers and a couple of cocktails. The food showed up long before the cocktails, and while the appetizers were tasty, they were more dive bar quality than mid-level foodie restaurant quality. Marinara sauce from the jar all the way. The cocktails arrived after we were mostly done eating. The bartender came over with our two drinks. Bartender: "Who had the Manhattan?" Me: "That was me" Bartender: Slams both drinks on the table. "Figure it out yourselves". Bartender: Goes back to flirting with the only person sitting at the bar. Me, to myself: I love restaurants that make you tip before you realize the service sucks. Overall, it was such a bummer experience from a restaurant that used to be really good. If you like pizza and pasta with sauce from a jar at $$ prices, give it a shot. The service was not great. Our server made us feel that we were bother by showing up more than anything else. We ordered a burger, pizza, coke and an iced tea. The iced tea was $7, and was only about 5oz with no refills. If it was a larger glass, wouldn't have cared if there wasnt any. Burger sliders were tiny and should have been listed as an appetizer. The pizza was very good, no complaints there. Overall, felt the place was overpriced for what you get. Don't think I would return. I'm all about service and value for what you pay. read more

Even though I'd been to Leavenworth plenty of times, I didn't even know this place existed, apparently it was once a pizza place but now expanded and very glad they did We came here looking for a juicy burger and man that menu looked good, we got there during brunch and the place wasn't packed but had plenty of people. Honestly if you're in the area I would 100% stop by and grab some delights of the brunch variety Let's get back to the burgers, they burgers were tasty, it was a little over but that's not a huge deal on my end. Arrived our first night unable to get a seat at Larch (wish I could tell that story) but anyway found this spot and it was a great meal after a long day of traveling. We decided to just have appetizers because they looked so good and the foods had alot of toppings that my kids were not up to trying out. This ended up working in our favor because the 4 dishes we got fed a family of 4 and was the perfect amount. The cauliflower and the tenderloin kabob was our favorites, but each dish was tasty cooked perfectly. The server was the sweetest. My mom and I came here for an early dinner recently. We were eager to try this newer place, since we are both fans of Larch! This place is definitely more casual than Larch, and has a bit more variety to choose from. We started with the seasonal peach salad, which was quite large, but did not come with many peaches and a small amount of cheese. Then we shared the pesto pizza with crispy prosciutto. This was not bad flavor-wise as I liked the saltiness from the meat and the pesto. The crust was ok, maybe could have been a bit crispier though. We came here for brunch and HOLY COWWWW it was freaking amazing. Like seriously the best brunch I've been had. I was torn between the biscuits and gravy and the pork belly eggs benedict and they allowed me to get a half order of the biscuits and gravy so that I could enjoy both! Truly top 5 biscuits and gravy I've ever had and the BEST benedict I've ever had. Not to mention - the benedict came with potatoes and a delicious dipping sauce. I'll be dreaming about this meal for years. My husband got the chicken and hush puppy waffle and it was delicious too! First time here at Prusik. Sadly it will be our last time here looking at other reviews I am mind blown. We have heard good things about this place and we were excited to try it. We walked in and the very first thing we were met by was a very rude host. After telling him our party size he said "you need to be done by 4:45pm mind you it was 3:00 pm. We were taken back by his attitude and abrasive tone. W washed him again to repeat because we could not believe what we just heard. He said "you need to give up your table by 4:45pm. And of course we said yes. What a mistake we should have said no and left. Service was meh just ok. Our waitress came and we asked her if we were going to be asked to leave at 4:45pm she said I don't know. She checked with her manager and sure enough she told us we need to leave by 4:45pm she gave no reason just get out. Was it because of us having a baby with us or were we dressed wrong? Perhaps dare I say was it the way we look. We asked but were never told why. We had the several appetizers, pizza and fish and chips. Fish and chips were great the rest of the food was just ok it matches the attitudes. In the end since we were met with not being welcome or wanting our business. My wife was offended to the point of just wanting to leave. Mind you she does not get offended easy. One thing I can do is say is I promise our family and friends will never be back again! I was really looking forward to trying Prusik but honestly the meal was mediocre at best. The server, though nice, was not overly welcoming. The host however was wonderful! We ordered the focaccia starter and the leek dip starter (didn't realize how much bread we consumed) I don't think my husband realized the dip came with break, whoops! The focaccia had wonderful flavor but unfortunately it was undercooked and raw dough in the middle. The leek dip was the true star of the show and was amazing! Unfortunately, they make it fresh daily and don't sell any to go. For our main dishes, we went w the forager frittata and shrimp/ crab Benedict Both were excellently, prepared, really original take on both dishes, enjoyed both very much. The surprise of the meal was the "fried" Yukon gold potato. I have never, in all of my potato, loving life, had a potato as unique as this. The potatoes are steamed to a doneness, smashed, and then fried in beef tallow. Finished with seasonings of Parmesan salt and pepper and other spices. The crispiness of the skin and the flavor of the beef tallow was simply divine! Our server was wonderful. Very professional and accommodating. Took pains to explain everything about the menu as well as shared the secret to the Yukon gold potatoes. Finally, the ambience and vibe of the place fit perfectly in the charm of Leavenworth. The drinks were $17 each...so small and not special or memorable. The food.. subpar. "Shoe string" fries that were rough to eat. The ambiance here is super cute, it's got an upscale, rustic feel and I love the tiling on the ceiling. There's a bar along the brick wall and a fair amount of seating. Our waiter was very kind and gave some good recommendations. I ordered the pappardelle pasta which was very good, it had big chunks of meat in the sauce and noodles were cooked to perfection. My daughter ordered the 8 mile gain burger which had a combination of 4 different meats and their own bbq sauce. More there to just take an order than provide a service. Bare minimum honestly. Wait over 5 minutes for water and a greeting both times. We sat at the bar and got a coffee. It had maple syrup in it and we thought it would be good but didn't end up loving it. My fiancé got the blueberry waffle and absolutely loved it. This was another nice restaurant we found during our stay. We had the shrimp and grits, mill burger, kids blueberry waffles, and a coffee. The shrimp and grits were tasty and slightly heavy (just the nature of shrimp and grits) while the coffee was solid and free flowing. The mill burger was pricey but it included aioli sauce, tallow fries, and bacon with the burger. Ate it all without any complaints. My son did enjoy and finish his blueberry waffles too. We had an arugula salad, calamari, thai wings, steak and frites, coconut ravioli and the caprese. Everything had such unique flavors and pairings. We were all pleased with absolutely everything. The arugula salad has such a great flavor pairing, the vinegarette and cheese were excellent together. The fried coconut ravioli with the fresh mango salsa was phenomenal. The sumptuous streak and frites had blue cheese and a sauce drizzled over that just melts in your mouth and the char, cooked to perfection steak was a star. This past weekend my girlfriends and I were visiting the adorable Hallmark town of Leavenworth. After studying Yelp Reviews, we decided to book a reservation at Prusik for a Galentines weekend dinner. The menu changes semi-often at the restaurant so they had just released a new menu that didn't have many reviews online, but we were excited to try it out. Every single thing we tried was absolutely delicious, we were stunned at the rich and unique flavors of each dish. We started off with the Cauliflower steak and roasted carrots appetizers. They were SO good. I've never had better cauliflower in my life, it was soooo yum! And the carrots were delicious as well. For my main dish, I ordered the pappardelle pasta dish but I asked our waiter Nick if it was possible to add some heat to the dish. He said that the chef Joel would be up to the challenge. Boy was he right! The dish was blazing hot. The meat sauce was so fresh, so spicy, and so tasty! I was raving about how good it was. I appreciated that they were able to personalize the dish! The other entrees my friends ordered were the sage and squash pizza, a delicious vegetarian option, and the sweet potato gnocchi which was perfect for someone who loves a sweet entree.
