Anybody that can handle the breeders, like we are, it's much appreciated. Delicious German food fare for a quick stop in Leavenworth.

Underground, low key spot in downtown Leavenworth. I ordered takeout from here. Pretzel & Beer Cheese ($11) - giant pretzel, I wish they gave more beer cheese but it was delicious. Cup of Soup ($5.75) - I got the Ham & Pea Soup. I liked it :) Came with a roll, butter, and crackers.

    The Banger ... :/

It was a cold day so the idea of a 'Soup Cellar' sounded amazing... after looking at the menu we realized that this place only has 3 soup options and then a chefs choice... we settled on 'The Banger' which was advertised as a German sausage with melted swiss cheese on a hoagie roll. It was subpar- what we received was a greasy ballpark quality hot dog with a slice down the middle that they shoved swiss cheese into. The workers were very friendly but the food was not worth the visit and we would not recommend this place if you're looking for authenticity.

About a 1-1.5: While we were roaming around Leavenworth, we decided to give The Soup Cellar a try for lunch. The menu offers burgers, brats, sandwiches, prime rib, baked potatoes, a salad bar, chili, and various Bavarian plates. A few things caught our attention, such as no other patrons were choosing this place to dine-in, and the place itself was a little dingy and had a funky smell. I think we should have saw these as signs to change our minds and find another place! We sat in one of the booths, and we ordered the following: +a Mushroom and Swiss Burger +a Sausage Sample Plate +White Chili with Chicken +and, a Reuben The food was just not great - they were either soggy, had no seasoning, super bland, came out room temperature, or just inedible. The chili, which I was looking forward to try, tasted like a combination of bad cream of mushroom with shredded chicken and milk. It was super thin and watered down. Eeks! Service was also spotty - we were never checked upon, as we were missing beverages, silverware, condiments, etc. It was just a pain. I wished we would have gone to another eatery, but, at least now we know not to return! +avoid the food +spotty service +funky odors

We have a favorite restaurant in Leavenworth but we thought we'd try something different this time around. We walked along Front Street and chanced upon The Soup Cellar. The place is located in the basement, but is well-lit and busy when we walked in. The staff was welcoming but when it started to get really busy, service went downhill. The food was okay (nothing to rave about). Fish n Chips were good, but disappointed with the sausages. This restaurant is great for families. Too bad we were done with our meal when they told us about their pretzels. Maybe next time.

Bland sausage platter with a dinner roll (not brotchen), average sauerkraut.

Staff is amazing. Super friendly. Food is not fresh just heated up. Soup is not great. $40 for two adults is a lot for Sysco food

What we got was some of the best pizza we've had anywhere, full stop. The crust alone deserves its own fan club. Perfectly blistered, airy, crisp on the outside with that chewy, authentic bite you only get when someone actually cares about dough. You can taste the quality of the ingredients immediately. This isn't "brewery pizza." This is legit, crave-it-again pizza. And then there's Summer, the owner. She served us herself and embodies everything people love about Leavenworth and small-town businesses done right. Warm, welcoming, proud of what she's built, and genuinely invested in every table having a great experience. That kind of hospitality changes a meal into a memory. The drinks absolutely hold their own too. Great beers across styles, excellent cider options, and a menu that goes well beyond pizza. But honestly, the pizza alone is worth the trip with kids, friends, or anyone who appreciates real food made by real people who care. Families: this is your spot. Casual, welcoming, delicious, and the kind of place where everyone leaves happy. We'll be back every time we're in town.

I typically go for the Alpenhaze but the server recommended the seasonal Enchantments Jabberwocky and it was delicious. Pretzel was decent but I think there are better ones in town. We made sure to close our tab so that our tip will go to her before she left. She answered all our questions and if she wasn't sure, she made sure to get the answer elsewhere for us. There was a football game that didn't start for another hour so we asked if we could play pool. She let us know that the projector would need to be put up but said to play pool anyways and she'll see what night staff would do. So we did. We were finishing up our last game and went back to our seats. My bf asked the new servers if they could play the sound of the game and he just flat out said "no". I then asked a different server if we could pull down the projector like it was earlier with the sound, and he looked at me straight in the eye and said "no" and walked away. There was no conversation. I would have appreciated it if we were given a reason as why it wasn't possible when they were doing it the entire day. After our original server left, we were not checked on at least once. The only time we got their attention was when we had to waive them down and asked for a beer. When we finished that, we left it on the table to see if they would notice. I started a timer too. The bartender or server was playing poker too which I didn't understand considering it was pretty busy. My bf who plays poker noticed one of the dealers wasn't dealing top card during the game so be cautious playing the card game here. At this point, with the timer still going, we were not checked on for 20 min. We're closing out and leaving to different bar.
