We chose indoor seating since it was scorching hot the day we came to dine. Table and chairs were kind of cramped indoors with very dim lighting. Service was good but not excellent since it was a busy place. We went for the Monte cristo and it was so filling! We also got the Belgian waffle and I would highly recommend it. We came here for brunch. You wait outside for hostess to seat you but there was no line so it was quick. To the right is for 21+ and then the left side is family friendly. We went to the right and it's high bar stool tables which was fine. I got the pineapple mimosa which was fine and then the louis omelette without cheese and onions. If it ain't broke... I'm giving this 3 stars out of nostalgia and loyalty to a place that I used to really like. Louie's was a place you came to eat when you wanted to feel like you were eating at your Grandma's or somewhere that felt like home. I haven't been to Leavenworth in a while, so I can't speak to when it changed. The food used to be solid, yummy, with excellent service and great merch! It was down home in the best possible way. Coming back to what it is now was sadly disappointing. The benches don't match the height of the tables, the staff was nice enough, but forgetful despite not being very busy, and the food; it was the biggest disappointment of it all. I ordered basic eggs, potatoes, sausage and toast. The eggs were fine. The potatoes were severely undercooked (essentially raw). The sausage was served patty style (who does that anymore) and needed to be cooked more. And the toast? The only options were sourdough (for breakfast?!) and English muffins (who doesn't sell bread?). The other people I dined with sadly had a similar experience with their food; Undercooked, not seasoned, and severely overpriced. Unfortunately, I won't be coming back.
