Cicena Oxaquena which includes two freshly made homemade tortillas. The rice is perfect, everything is just right. So delicious and filling.

10/10 for the food and service! This restaurant makes traditional Mexican and American food in a clean cozy atmosphere. I love coming to Paradise. The quality is very consistent too. Great prices. I also recommend the pie. It's homemade and perfect! Everything on the menu is good.

Server was super friendly and attentive. Chicken molè delicious! Salsa is tasty. The Spanish rice was uniquely light had amazing flavor. And the coup d'grace... the PIE! The Trio berry was the perfect mix of sweet and tangy. Best dining experience I've had in awhile!

Ok, it might seem like I am generous with my reviews and that isn't the case at all. I eat out a lot. I just choose to review 5 stars experiences Back to business, this place is amazing! I was really hungry and didn't enjoy waiting (it wasn't very long) but boy was it worth it. Everything on my plate was so fresh and delicious. The tortillas must have just been made and the guacamole I ordered as a side has a unique amazing twist to it. Don't pass this place by!!

Breakfast was delicious. Had the chorizo with eggs, hand made tortillas and beans... The potatoes were spot on.

I was searching for a Mexican breakfast place and found it! I had the huevos rancheros with over-easy eggs. The ranchero sauce was the best that I've ever had; it was fresh and bright with just the right amount of chili for me. The house-made fresh cheese lent a salty pop that balanced the dish beautifully. The tortilla tasted very fresh as if they had made it in-house or had a great tortilleria nearby. The black beans were creamy and earthy - just right. The fresh cheese on the beans was a brilliant touch. The potatoes were superfluous and not nearly crispy or seasoned enough for me to bother. The sausage was tasty, but not necessary. I ate two because it's a special treat for me and I couldn't resist.

I stopped on Wednesday Oct 9th, 2024 for a quick snack--I hadn't eaten all day, but didn't want to…read moreruin my upcoming dinner. Well forget that (sorry Sweetheart). The little snack was Taqueria's "Quesabirria"--sort of a taco on steroids! The Quesbirria amounts to a corn tortilla sandwich filled with cheese and beef brisket. It is served with a soufflé cup of consumé for dipping (think French dip beef au Jus)! See the pics. I swear, the consumé could be a meal in itself (maybe it is, I'll have to check the menu next time). I watched the kitchen chef ladle the consumé out of a huge caldron on the back burner, fill the foam cup and snap a lid on it. I had no idea that was going to be such a highlight of my to-go order. The corn tortilla was folded over in half like a quesadilla, but the meat filling was huge, more-so than the cheese. And the tortilla itself was supple--wet from dipping in the consumé--I think. The bbq'd taste of brisket, slow-roasted in onions and cilantro, took the flavor profile of the Quesabirria over-the-top of anything you would expect of a quesadilla pretending to be a taco. And as if that wasn't enough, the entry consists of TWO Quesabirrias with another soufflé cup of hot sauce. So here's what I did: I took a bite of the Quesadilla, sipped a small amount of consumé, then took another sip of hot sauce. I was able to make the consumé and the not sauce last through both Quesabirrias. Ask me if I'm ever coming back here again! HA! Taqueria la Cihualteca has won me over! I wish they had Tecati, but I'll settle for Modelo!
