Great service. They were very busy, all tables full yet they greeted us right away and offered us two spots at the bar. Fine with us! We didn't try the spirits we had Diet Pepsi but they have a full bar for those who indulge. The food we ordered was great. All of it fresh, nice presentation, prices were appropriate. Appetizers were served first, always a plus. Refills were prompt. Definitely worth a visit!

This place is great. Hands down in my top local stops. Food is amazing. Service is amazing. Drinks amazing. You get the gist ... I haven't had anything there I wouldn't rush back to order again. Drinks - try the OG flight to learn what you like and then order them all. All the drink are hand crafted. I've had the tacos, the fajitas, enchiladas among others. The salsa is hands down the best in town. Don't get me wrong, I love some of the other offerings in town - but think of this as a bit upscale from the usual huge plate of cheese, beans and rice hiding an entree. Everything is just done better here ... even the rice and beans. Portions are generous and the folks inside from staff to customers are always just having a good time. It's a regular stop for us and we have not intention of slowing down. Here are some pics for you from our last visit. Tacos, fajitas and drinks oh my ...

Food was good! Just a bit overpriced in my opinion. I ordered the OG margaritas and they were delicious, the Affogato with Kahlua dessert is a NO it's literally soup bowl with a large scoop of vanilla ice cream with caramel definitely didn't have any Kahlua wish I could of taken a picture of it. Not getting 5 stars because everything is a bit overpriced. I feel like we are just paying for the name In my opinion. Also usually a "lounge" is where they have one area for eating and another area for dancing. I'm from California so I been to quite a few. The environment here definitely didn't feel like one.

Great place, fresh prepared food. Would stop in again when back in this area. Wonderful staff. Low key casual restaurant.

This place was just okay. It reminded me of a dive bar for 21 year olds. On the other part of the bar was a group of people playing pull tabs. I tried to order a mannys and a dry cider but they only had sweet cider so I ordered a mannys and coors light instead. The bartender was friendly, so there's that. This place gets 3 stars for being open later and having a friendly bartender. It loses two for the other issues. We went outside and everyone was smoking. We left after our first round.

We made sure to close our tab so that our tip will go to her before she left. She answered all our questions and if she wasn't sure, she made sure to get the answer elsewhere for us. There was a football game that didn't start for another hour so we asked if we could play pool. She let us know that the projector would need to be put up but said to play pool anyways and she'll see what night staff would do. So we did. We were finishing up our last game and went back to our seats. My bf asked the new servers if they could play the sound of the game and he just flat out said "no". I then asked a different server if we could pull down the projector like it was earlier with the sound, and he looked at me straight in the eye and said "no" and walked away. There was no conversation. I would have appreciated it if we were given a reason as why it wasn't possible when they were doing it the entire day. After our original server left, we were not checked on at least once. The only time we got their attention was when we had to waive them down and asked for a beer. When we finished that, we left it on the table to see if they would notice. I started a timer too. The bartender or server was playing poker too which I didn't understand considering it was pretty busy. My bf who plays poker noticed one of the dealers wasn't dealing top card during the game so be cautious playing the card game here. At this point, with the timer still going, we were not checked on for 20 min. We're closing out and leaving to different bar.

The temperature in our room was 82 degrees and we had to ask for 3 box fans to be brought in for comfort. The chair in our room was broken and you couldn't get to the closet because there was furniture in front of it. The pillows were old and flat. The only other place we found to be a dog friendly hotel with a vacancy was Sleeping Lady Lodge. We spent two nights for 500/night plus an additional 50/night for an under 10 pound dog. Be prepared to use a cart provided to get your stuff from the parking lot to your room, about 200 yards round trip for us. You get a map at check-in and there are a couple of maps along the trails to help you find your room. Pool appeared locked and the "Grotto" bar closed. You can grab a small cup of coffee at the office. If you want your room cleaned each day, they ask that you call and let them know. Run out of the four, one-cup Nescafé coffee pods they supply? You have to call them before 7am the next morning or come pick up what's left at the office. They tasted terrible to me. They do provide an electric teapot so if you bring instant coffee or tea, you can make your own. There is a small fridge but no microwave. No TV either, but that was okay with us. There is a broom so you can sweep your own floor. This time of year you will track in sand from the walkways if you come inside with your shoes on. Our room had a double bed and a twin. Down comforters on both but the beds were not very comfortable. On site breakfast buffet was an additional 25 per person when it's free at many other hotels in town. This is a nice place if you don't mind a rustic cabin type room with rickety furniture. Good water pressure and heat. Loved the heating rack in the bathroom to warm towels or dry clothing. No fan in bathroom so it gets humid in there if you shower or bathe and can be stinky if you...well, you know. Tub/shower/toilet in bathroom. Sink and mirror in sleeping area. Minimal seating (old swivel chair and lounge chair.) If you want a McDonalds-like egg McMuffin, coffee and/or a pastry for breakfast there is a little coffee shop by the main road. Otherwise, plan to drive 4 miles into town. Ditto for lunch and/or dinner. Bottom Line: You're not coming here to pay for the service or upscale accommodations (though you wouldn't know it from the price.) You're paying for the quiet, woodsy atmosphere the place provides, the dark sky at night, and the mountain surroundings which are beautiful.
