Well, everything was normal until after we ordered our food. We went mid-day on a Saturday, and it wasn't too busy. My dish came with a salad as a side/appetizer which came out maybe 10-15min after we ordered. That typically means your main course will be out relatively soon. We waited another 15min, and then a group of 5 came in and had their orders placed. We thought nothing of this, until their food came out before ours did. Wayyy before ours did. So we, a group of 3, waited about 45 minutes to receive our food, while they, a group of 5, only waited 10 minutes MAX for their food. Please keep in mind this isn't a busy Friday night, this was a relatively slow Saturday afternoon. Our group did not order anything crazy difficult. Maybe the kitchen made a mistake and had to fix something? While we waited, our waiter never came and asked how we were doing. They didn't seem very busy, so I don't think my expectations are unrealistic. When we finally received our food we weren't given any explanation for the wait. Ok. We wanted a desert but we didn't want to have to wait there any longer than we had to. We ordered it to go, and we got it quickly. That was nice. Gotta Laugh! I'm sitting in my recliner doing a review of Tastebuds, of the to-go order last week that blew me away! I asked Sherrie, what was the name of that salad you ordered from Tastebuds? She said, "the same as last time!" I said, "Huh?!?!" Turns out she's ordering the same meal over again tonight, as we speak! So take notice because this is genius: Order the "Penne Alfredo Shrimp", and select the "mixed green salad" with the vinaigrette dressing. Then order the full "Combination Pizza". (See the pics from last week, 'cause tonight's hasn't arrived yet). The salad is a meal in itself. The vinaigrette on spinach with cranberries is to die for! The shrimp are grilled somehow, not just boiled. And the pizza blows all the local pizza joints away, hands down. But the wisdom of this is, there will be pizza left over for tomorrow. When Tastebuds opened about 18 years ago, it was one of only two real wine bars in Wenatchee. Their menu was fairly simple, charcuterie boards (meat and cheese, with nuts, crackers and jam) being their featured faire. Today the menu is expanded to many full entrée dinners. We went in for dinner and being in town for the weekend, didn't think about reservations. The restaurant was busy, but staff still were able to seat us with no wait. It was a very nice ambiance with live music battery operated candles hanging from the ceiling. Prime rib was delicious as was the wine. Highly recommend. read more

My girlfriend and I decided to stop by New Year's Eve. I have never been in this location before however this will definitely not be my last time. Ambiance is perfect! Love the dark shelves and the wine bottle decor, comfortable seating, a little lounge space, great to meet up with colleagues and friends. It's right next to jimmy johns, so you don't expect it, but it's a beautiful space inside. We have been going to Tastebuds for many years. We live part time in Seattle and part time in Cashmere. Service, Food, and cleanlyness is exeptional. Staff is always helpful and cheerful. I have on some occasions just had a bowl of soup and coffee. I was waited on as if I were spending more money. Food has never been a disappointment. We recently had dinner here for our anniversary. The food was delicious. Nice wine selection, served in Reidel stemware, which I love.....however I have to say that when you serve wonderful entrées prepared from scratch and served with quality wine selections, you should have some decent flatware to compliment your meal! They have nice cloth napkins, but their flatware is flimsy and looks like it came from a school cafeteria! Please, oh please update to something more substantial to compliment your amazing food! Fantastic chicken fettuccine Alfredo. Really good Caesar salad. One of the best queso dips so I've ever had, with very tasty fresh bread to dip with. Definitely a place worth going to, again and again. read more

The location is easily accessible, and there is ample parking nearby. The ambience is great, too. We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon, and it was already at half capacity. We weren't greeted by anyone upon arrival, just shown to an available table by a server who seemed very busy. There were several other employees rushing about, but it seemed that only two servers were waiting on all the tables. We ordered the house wine and the sliders appetizer. The food was decent, but not quite the caliber I would expect for a wine bar. The server checked on us once, and then brought the check before we'd even ordered our next round. The check had extra items that we hadn't ordered. When we pointed this out to our server, he seemed highly annoyed with us, like we were a bother to him. And still, the total was not corrected. Then, a single musician began to perform, but the volume was much louder than the small space was designed for. We decided that they were intentionally trying to move diners along to make room for the next patrons. Thus, we went to the server working the till, and settled up to leave. read more

Stopped in for dinner, left happy and full. We started with the bruschetta and the bacon wrapped dates from their happy hour menu, which were both delicious! For dinner we have the pesto pasta with shrimp, which was really delicious as well but I felt that it was kind of drowning in the sauce. It was pretty rich so I was only able to eat half of it. I really did enjoy the flavor of it though! We also had the chicken avocado entree, which was delicious and very fresh! I loved the vegetables that came on the side. This place is really lovely. When my 5 year old and I took a quick stop in Wenatchee for some food I pulled up my Yelp app and couldn't tell if this place was kid friendly but after popping my head in I was delighted to find out they are! I ordered the cheese plate and my son had a mini pizza. I originally ordered one of their small 10inch pizzas, but the sweet waitress mentioned that they could make a pita pizza, which would be smaller and less expensive, even though it wasn't offered on the menu. I really appreciated this extra step she took to save me a few bucks on my kiddos meal. The ambiance is lively and people genuinely seem happy to be here. The table next to me ordered the fondue, and I hate them for this because I immediately had food envy and couldn't consume my cheese plate. My body would only stare at them eating and wouldn't allow me to eat my own food. Had a few bites of the kiddos pizza - that shiz was nom. read more

Growing up in Wenatchee Tastebuds was always just the wine and beer place. I was pleasantly surprised that I could get a nice dinner at this location as well. My friends spoke well of the fondue starter and I ended up getting the nachos with homemade queso. It was delicious. The orders from our group included Salmon with dill butter and veggies, more fondue, the dip dip sandwich that came with both au jus and fondue to dip it in, the steak primavera and the last order which they messed up the chicken pesto. (They ordered pasta and it came in pizza form.) We all got drinks and since it was hh our server forgot to make note and apply it to our bill. Getting the bills squared away was a 15 min process kind of annoying considering we told him we were in a hurry to go to another function. In the end it all worked out. I was hoping the server would own up to his mistake by taking my friends food off of the tab because it was his mistake. They had them pay full price for something they didn't want. I was a little disappointed. All in all the food was good I will give them that. read more

The atmosphere first drew us in but the service and the food were AMAZING!!! $5.95 to add steak to my salad? You get around 3 oz of one of the best steaks I've ever had. And I've been to several Michelin star restaurants and had their steaks... order it rare or medium rare, you won't be disappointed! The cheese fondue was better then the melting pot. The wine selection great! The service amazing! Our waitress was attentive without being annoyingly over attentive. The dessert was really good as well. This place belongs in a larger city! 2nd time coming here cause I wanted to give it a try again. Both time they made the food way too salty for me, other than that everything is fine. Make sure to ask for less salt and everything you need before paying since once you paid the waitress wouldn't come back for serve or anything. read more

Nice place, visually appealing when entering. Lots of wine and wine related products on display. My daughter and I visited for lunch and was surprised with the amount of food provided at what I thought was just a coffee and wine bar. Many meals were served around us during our visit and it all looked delicious. I ordered a pita pizza for seven dollars from the appetizer menu. It was small but flavorful. The down side? When the ticket was brought the bill showed my seven dollar pizza was thirteen dollars. When I asked the server about it her comment was "sometimes the register just does that". Even more distressing was the tone in her voice that made me feel like I'd done something wrong by pointing out the discrepancy. Prices are definitely higher than expected, however, the quality seems to be high and the food well prepared. Service could be better.... Especially in the sense that the attitude I got from the server was one of snobbishness. read more

The pizza here is delicious.! I love the sauce :) we also had a fondue appetizer which was good. I thought the fondue could have been a little bit thicker but that flavor and the dippers for it were really good. Some of the things to dip in the fondue I had never tried with fondue before but they were great.! The environment of this cafe is so cute.! It has a cozy feeling and there is a wall filled with bottles of wine.! Also they have huge doors that open up to the patio which is awesome. I would come here again and recommend it to others.
