This past weekend, I went on a girls' camping trip to Thousand Trails, and we walked over to Sunfire Grill and Lounge for drinks. We had the dopest bartender--Brandon! Nothing but great things to say about him! Saturday night when we arrived, he was the only bartender holding down the entire bar. Even though he was extremely busy, he stayed calm, communicated clearly with every person coming into the bar, and kept a smile on his face the whole time. Major kudos to Brandon for your stellar performance that evening--you crushed it! Also, if you haven't tried the green bean fries, it's a must! We were skeptical to come here as the reviews are terrible but honestly it was a great experience. Partially could be due to it not being as busy as summer is winding down but the staff was friendly and our food was good. Having slim options for food in CB I'm sure it does get a bit crazy but even being pretty full we had a good time. My burger dip was delicious and they had our favorite beer on tap. My girlfriends and I came here after a day of sitting at the pool and relaxing. We read all the bad reviews and decided to go and give it a try anyways! What a mistake that was!! Service was atrocious!! We walked in and they were seating us at a table outside and then decided that another table of guests that were already seated inside the restaurant would get our table they had for us and we got sent back inside. It took about 25 minutes to even get greeted. When the server did come she didn't know any of our questions and if they had the wine we wanted. We ordered our food and it took quite a while for it to come out. We asked for a glass of water and 45 minutes later and is repeatedly asking for water we finally got our water. The sliders were ok. The pretzel was gross. The taco salad was yummy. Over all the experience was a big let down. We should of listened to the yelp reviews and chose a different place or made our own dinner. Nahhhh. Nothing about this place is good. Well, I mean the location is good, because they literally have no competition in the area and there is nowhere else nearby to dine. So good for them. We didn't even know who our server was, as we had 2 different people consistently coming to the table. The male server we had was...awkward. I'll just leave it at that. Both of our meals came out cold. I got the Chicken Broccoli Bacon Mac & Cheese. I took maybe 3 bites and was like...nope. Had no flavor at all, and as I said, cold. The broccoli you see in the photo is all you got. I'm not even sure if it had bacon in it. I didn't really see any, but didn't eat much so can't be sure. The chicken looked (and tasted) like a microwave meal, no wonder it was hidden on the bottom of the dish underneath all the noodles. My boyfriend got the Prime Rip Dip. It was obvious it had been sitting in the kitchen for a long time as it was completely soggy and falling apart. Also, it's expensive. Next time we will just stop at a grocery store and cook at the house. read more

Been going here for five years. Consistently good food. We started at Sunserra and eat there every day. Enjoyable staff!

This grill appears to be simple to clean. However, the ceramic briquets get grease and liquid, so you have to replace them. The average life of the briquets is six months tops. I will give mine away, although it is only six months old. read more

Went there for 3 nights during memorial weekend. Food was great, service was impeccable and views were incredible!!

Tucked away at the bottom of a windy road going down to the Columbia River, this little hideaway is a gem. At first arrival, we had some apprehension as it looks as if it's merely a clubhouse joint in a rental vacation home community, but much to our surprise, this is a full scale restaurant with great ambience, service and amazing food. Great selection of quality wines and beers on tap, local servers with great tips on sights to see in the area and other local tidbits, and overall a great feel. Some tables overlook the golf course and some of the outside tables look at the river. With so few restaurants like this in the area, it was definitely refreshing to find this place. I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone. Food is expensive and definitely not worth how much you pay for it. Sat there for about 25min before I was asked what I wanted to drink and eat. Took forever for my food to come out just to be disappointed. While waiting I decided to take a trip to the bathroom, boy what a mistake that was. It was to say the least, disgusting! It smelled awful and there toilet paper all over the floor, have never seen more disgusting toilets in my life, hair all in sink and on counter. Too top it off no soap. There are only a a couple of choices for dinning once you settle in down a Crescent Bar but, the Sunfire Grill does a very good job. The menu is not as extensive as it could be but they offer great salads (I had a really good Seafood Salad) chicken or steaks. After a day of avoiding under aged drunk kids driving nice ski-boats and seadoo's at excessive speeds on the Columbia you'll be ready to relax with their locally focused wine offerings. Just went in tonight, after they reopened for Phase 2.... was really saddened to see the main bartender/server/waitress repeatedly licking her fingers... to get paper menus, or checks or other random things. We only saw her wash her hands once and then dry them on her clothes. In today's world, cleanliness is more important than ever. While the food is mediocre on their best day, at least it is really expensive!! The local workforce supports this establishment through the long slow winter. Average bill for dinner & drinks around $100. Working a good job with good pay, no big deal. Friday night (Dec. 7) invited friends for dinner & drinks, show up @ 6:10 pm. Find out that they had rented out entire facility to Yahoo for $6000 dollars. Owner says "Have to keep it open for winter"!! What a bunch of B.S.!!!!! Had a class reunion set up with the Sunfire grill months ahead of time. As the date got closer I called to confirm. Left message after message on answering machine, emailed etc, no one would return my calls or answer my emails. One week before the event I finally had a friend who got in touch with the restaurant, they had no knowledge of my event (even though I had left message after message). Sunfire (Brian) then stated they would call me right back and explain the situation. All I heard was crickets...never called me and would NOT answer my calls. Poor business practice even for a seasonal restaurant. Left me scrambling to find another venue. I don't plan to ever patronize this restaurant, not because they forgot about my event but because they wouldn't even take responsibility for the error or call me ahead of time and let me know they were overbooked for that day. read more

What a pathetic establishment. I came with a group of girls for cocktails and appetizers at 5pm. When we walked in, the bartender (who is also the manager) said "nope, I've seen your type before, we don't have room." He was worried about us taking up room at the bar, however, we let him know we were happy to be seated outside or at a table. Other patrons at the bar, as well as the waitresses were encouraging him to let us have a spot. He refused and said they could not seat us (keep in mind, the place is almost completely empty). The steak bites and prime rib fingers are so amazing I order as apps every time! The staff is so friendly, drinks are fast if it's not too busy because they only have one bartender. It's always smoother when we make reservations because if it's busy it takes them a while to take care of us. The owner is very nice the chef is amazing and waitresses are so attentive it's great!! We are visiting from out of town. We live in Seattle. We tried two other breakfast places and both were closed (on a Sunday???). Found this place. Walked in and it said "wait to be seated". We waited at least 10 minutes to get a table. They had 1 server working for the entire place, including the bar. Food was good and surprisingly came out in a reasonable amount of time. Waited 15 minutes for the check. Poorly run business and will never come back. Other people were clearly annoyed with the poor service as well. read more
