Great place for food! The burgers are over the top large and juicy. Several to choose from. Other options are just as tasty.

This is not my jam. My jam is feeling like I'm not over paying for average food, and getting friendly service. My 1st visit was nice, my 2nd visit, not so much. My waitress made me feel like I was more of a burden, than a valued customer. I couldn't order pizza, which is most of their menu, because "they aren't doing that", they said wings weren't available, and no Cod. So, I had the worst nachos I've had in my 48 years of life. read more

Hadn't been to Quincy in forever but seeing as it's now shoulder season we needed to drive up and have a bite to eat somewhere. I was really hoping for eggs benny (saw country Benny and just assumed there would be regular too) but unfortunately there wasn't. There was however a very cute restaurant, fairly priced, with good food and excellent service. The bloody Mary's were impressive and my scramble was good too. If you're in Quincy and you're looking for burgers, Idle Hour is definitely your best option. Heck, even if you're not in Quincy, Idle Hour still has some pretty great burgers and fries. I've had a few different burgers off their burger menu. You can't really go wrong with any of them. But, my go-to burger is the American Burger. It comes lathered with a sweet & spicy BBQ sauce, crispy bacon, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, and onion on a ciabatta roll. And let me tell you, the bacon on this burger is the real deal. The bacon slices are fat, super crispy, and awfully delicious. This is how bacon is supposed to be done. With any of their burgers you'll get a wonderfully juicy meat patty. Not only do they have awesome burgers, the fries are SO GOOD. They come to you piping hot and crispy as can be. They are seasoned really well and they go great with their Fry Sauce. If they don't ask if you want the Fry Sauce, you guys should tell them you'd like it. It's nice and smokey, with a little bit of sweetness. Great with the fries and the burgers in my opinion. There seems to be two sections in the restaurant. One where you need to be 21+ to sit in and one where it doesn't matter how old you are. If you look a little bit on the young side, you might want to bring in your ID so you can sit wherever. PS. You lose a lot of freshness and crispness when you take the food to-go rather than eat in. Still tastes great! But, you'll miss the crispness of the bacons and fries. read more

Idle hour has been a long time favorite of Quincy professionals. The name is more than just a tittle, it a way of life in the sleepy Central Washington farming town . I have had the pleasure of working in this town and eating literally hundreds of meals here. If you are expecting fast food, go hit up Mc Donald's , but if truly great service and fresh foods at a slower pace is what you need, you came to the right place. Rosie is the owner, he and his wife cook up some of the best meals I've had the pleasure of eating. While in town this last week I took 9 of my staff to idle hour and was pleased it wasn't totally packed. I will tell you arrive before 12 pm or you will have to wait. If you roll up and find it's closed when you thought it should be opened, don't get too upset, they do on close from time to time because of needs of the owner. Don't come here if you are looking for typical good service. Everything about this place was SO slow! It wasn't even busy or crowded and it took over 50 minutes from when we ordered breakfast to when we got it. While we waited we ran out of coffee. We had to ask twice for more water. We were never ch ed cred on once we did get our food. Just slow, poor service all together. There were a lot of people working too, just not paying attention to the customers. The food did taste good. We didn't get the side of bacon we ordered, and were still charged for it. But all in all the meal tasted good. I won't be back. Too much of a hassle. read more

Love it. Ryan, Tim, Tiff and I were here on a random weekend (ok,not so random - it was Sasquatch weekend) and stumbled on Idle Hour Cafe with the help of yelp (and the fact nothing else was open). We didn't know what we would get because of the concert mob, but we had a great experience here. The food was insnaely slow (almost an hour) and the menu was reduced in anticipation of the volume of people, but the waitress was super nice and kept of relatively entertained, so the long wait for the food wasn't so bad. Terrible service, weak drinks, awful customer service, the only good bartender/server there is named Eric I think, or Shawn, skinny white guy. There are like 7 people working at a time but nothing is ever getting done, food is like frozen meals at best, if they even have menu items...if you're not a local I wouldnt even bother going here, you get served last and never taken care of, if you're a churchy trump supporter you'll fit right in though, ZERO STARS!!! Ohhhhhh boy did this place hit the spot! After a long, hot day, we were ready for an early dinner. This place had our kinda menu- burgers, salads, onion rings, full bar, etc...so in we went! The resturant is cozy and clean and features many TVs with various sports on. When we asked our waiter if they had a drink menu, he said no, but with a smile said, "We've got just about everything so we can make you whatever you'd like!" which was very hospitable. I had an awesome grilled chicken burger with fries. Do NOT miss out on these fries!! Crunchy on the outside but soft and perfect on the inside and perfectly seasoned. So good! My boyfriend had a chicken ceasar salad. He liked it but the main star was the pretzel roll it came with. How are those not on the appetizer menu? Delicious. We also split an order of mozzarella sticks. They were very clearly homemade and HUGE. Gooey cheese escaped a few spots of the crunchy breading and they were very satisfying. My first time at this resturant was back in 2017 and I found that the service was on point and the food was delicious. I've return back here in May of 2019 and the service is a hit or miss but the food hasn't been great the past 4 times I've gone. I always ask for a med rare burger and it comes back well done. Only thing I've found great was the beer. For the price you spend here the food could be better. read more

My husband & I were in Quincy on a rainy Tuesday looking for a lunch spot whose majority of their menue was not Mexican food - just wasn't in the mood. Found this place, thanks to Yelp! Everyone had the same idea as most tables were taken. We shared the 4 piece fried chicken with tots & wishing I hadn't shared. Delish! Nicely browned, but cooked through & juicy. I ordered a veggy omelet, instead I got a scramble with mushrooms and broccoli. No tomatoes, etc like what was stated on the menu. Great place to eat in Quincy! I've been going here for a while but recently was left on hold for a takeout order for 20 minutes. Then had to wait another 20 minutes for my food that was less than tasty. However I gave a 4 star rating because most of the time that I do go to this restaurant I have a good experience. read more

Was in town for Paradiso festival this past summer and heard about this "hole in the wall" from a random local while stopping at an auto parts store in town. They recommended getting a burger here.. it was the best advice I'd ever received from a stranger. The burgers were great, big, gourmet style burgers in a variety of different concoctions. The staff was SUPER friendly. My fiance and I spent about an hour just chatting with the owner and learning the history of the restaurant. I'll definitely be going out of my way to visit this place again. Rest assured I'll be bringing back more friends this time! read more

We went here for lunch 4/28/21. This is the 2nd time we've visited this establishment & again had a great experience. Our server (I wish I remembered her name) was very attentive and pleasant. We ordered 2 appetizers, chicken wings and clams. They were both cooked to perfection, but the clams were phenomenal. FU** YEA...this place is where you go to eat food that's good. I ordered cheese sticks, AMAZING. Made in house, larger than usual, Panko loved crust. Also got the burger, PHUCKING PHENOMENAL. Hand parties and flat-top seated. Relish was layered, so I removed a smidgen. I'll be back. A lot. I got the blueberry pie to go...we had a good laugh about it with our bearded waiter. The food is excellent but I have to say the wait is horrendous!! To negate this at Lunch I decided to call in the order. Herein lies the underlying problem... The owner doesn't want data center workers to Pre order and sit there and eat because his other customers wonder why we got our food before them. The Columbia Basin doesn't have much in terms of "trendy" restaurants. I was looking for an alternative to the usuals in Moses Lake and was pleasantly surprised to find this! The steaks are really good for the price. It's so reasonable there isn't a reason NOT to get them. And burgers less than $10? Um, yes. Their beer selection was pretty good, though I hope they start stocking more IPAs. The place itself is pretty nice. The bar area looks like someone paid attention to it and they to updated the dining room. Hey, for what you find in Quincy, they did an awesome job. read more

Last few times horrible service. Sat at the bar tonight and it was like I did not exist. Even when I wanted to pay it it took a long time. Servers never acknowledged my empty beer glass for a second beer. So I ate my meal with no beverage. I noticed others around at the bar not being served. There appeared to be 3 servers. A birthday party was taking place and someone in the party was clearing empty plates away. The place was about 60 full at around 6 PM. My daughter's Hunter Pancakes and Cream came with large sausage links and they easily could have split the dish - maybe with side a sausage added. But the pancake rocked old school style. My wife had the Country Benedict - excellent also.
