We met some family here for lunch yesterday. I was very disappointed. A family member has been here several times and said it was always good. Yesterday it was not. The service was very slow, my fries were cold. To top it off a grandson ordered a pepperoni pizza, the first one the cook read peppers not pepperoni. They made it again, the second one was burned. I really want to like this place, and I think they are doing great things for Wenatchee. Their service has been decent during past visits, but certainly not warm. They have a good selection of hyper-local winse, but we were feeling like something different, and came upon a bottle we'd had before from Spain. Los Rocas Grenache. It was not priced on the shelf, but I knew it typically retailed in the $10-$13 range and since everything else on the shelves looked like normal retail prices, I didn't expect otherwise. Checking out, I get ringed up for $28. Maybe an innocent mistake, and maybe I should have said something, but this was the gouging of (expectedly uninformed) wine consumer of the highest degree. I've eaten here twice in the past week, while in town visiting relatives. Oh my goodness, Wenatchee totally needed a classy place like this. What a great place to stop in for a quiet glass of wine and a few nibbles. The indoor decor is elegant and intimate, with dark woods and spacious tables, and not-too-kitschy light-up glass grapes. There's an outdoor seating area - I love that! Wenatchee needs more outdoor fine dining establishments. The wine selection is well chosen and it was easy to find an affordable glass on the night we just wanted to chill, and yet we also could find a pricier wine for a Saturday night splurge. The waitresses have been extremely friendly and helpful - but also back off and let you finish your conversation with your tablemates. The food comes out a little slowly, but this restaurant is designed for you to linger and enjoy, not rush through a meal. The only reason I am not giving this place five stars is the limited menu. I'd like to see just a few more options in the food department. Still, we've enjoyed the fondue (with generous portions of fruit and crackers; the cheese pizza was delicious and not too greasy; the breadbasket had very moist tender fresh bread; my salad was incredibly delicious; and our dining companion seemed to enjoy his turkey sandwich. I was confused about what the cheese torta was (It's not a tart!) but amazed at the large portion you get for the small amount you pay for it. I wouldn't bring kids here, but this place would be wonderful for a girls night out, a date, or a cozy family night with adult family members. One of the things I enjoy most is they don't have live music, which would make this small place seem crowded, and the noise level would make conversation impossible. That's why I don't like going to McGlinn's when they have live music. Also, the music that's playing in the background is quiet enough you can hold a conversation over it. My wife and I recently visited Wenatchee and found that Tastebuds was the only place not offering an hour wait to be seated. We had a great experience at Tastebuds. I had the french dip with gouda; it was tasty and paired well with the red suggested by the server. The server was very helpful and had a good breadth of wine knowledge. I have been here twice now and this is my favorite little wine bar. I am from the "westside" and I think this is the best one I have been too. The wine selection is fantastic and they are reasonably priced. The vibe and atmosphere is great. This weekend I was out on their patio for a bridal shower and it was just the cutest thing. I kind of felt bad for the other guests in the other part of the place because I am sure we were being quite loud. The little pizzas were really good too. We have been here before and had great food but definitely not the case tonight with their nachos. It was literally a small plate of chips with cheese whiz on them. Actually cheese whiz would have tasted better. A few pieces of diced chicken and not enough to barely realize it had chicken on it. The guacamole was partially chopped up with a one large chunk of sliced avocado. Some diced tomatoes but definitely not what I would consider loaded Nachos. And definitely not what you would expect for $16.95. Taco Time has better nachos. I'd rank these more with Taco Bell. Only reason I gave it two stars was because our waitress was nice and attentive! this place is hit and miss. One time the dish you have is fantastic and the next time not something you would order again. It may vary by chef. But it would be nice if it was consistent. The meals come with a small salad which is nice, but they used to also include good bread with dipping oil. Now there is no bread included. Unfortunately our waitress didn't return for 20 minutes so we were already a couple slices in and the wine was gone. I would give 5 stars on any other day, but this time I reserved an area and the guy helping me had no idea that I had reserved it, and told me... I could sit anywhere else... Furthermore, when I wanted to sit in the patio he said it's reserved at 6, the entire patio. Needless to say I was flustered due to giving them ample time to do what they just did to me! For two years I drove past Tastebuds because the sign outside read Coffee and Wine. I can get that at home. But.....WAIT!!! They serve steaks and seafood and salads and pasta and its YUMMY. And they have a full bar! I had the Peppered steak for 20$! That's about the top end of the price range there. The tiramisu was excellent. Everything about the dinner was great. The seating is ample but its a bit dark in there..several customers had their phones out to use as flashlights when reading the menu. We went on Wednesday which is 20% off on bottles of wine ( so we bought two L'ecoles). I will watch their Facebook page and see what specials or entertainment they are planning and I will definitely go there again.. and probably again...and again. read more

We had the absolute worst experience with them. Do not use them for catering. They were very difficult to correspond with when trying to plan. They gouged us as far as pricing, we met with other caterers and they quoted us far less, the only reason we used them was because they were the only caterers that were available the day of our event, and now I understand why. The day of the event I was shocked to the the level of quality of the food. First off, one of the dishes was not even close to what we ordered, and to top that off the rest of the food was terrible, very low quality. We had our own wait staff so basically they just dropped off the food, our staff did the rest, but they charged us a service fee, as well as drop off fee? How does that make sense? All in all we are very unhappy, bad food, bad customer service, over priced.... all around terrible. read more

I would say overall I had a pretty good experience, I even made it for happy hour which was great! ($3 off beer!) I would say the only thing was that it was a little stuffy, bit too hot inside for me. This is the go-to place for my friends and I when we want to unwind and have good conversation without going to a bar. The wine selection is very good. Admittedly, a few of the bottles are slightly overpriced compared to most retail establishments, but the atmosphere, friendly service and tasty food is worth the few extra bucks to help support a local business. The coffee is MUCH better here than most places in town and the regular changing quiches are always a tasty surprise. They also have live music on Saturdays (6:30-7:30pm and 8:30-9:30pm) and can be VERY busy during these hours, but if you are expecting to be dining with a larger group, they take reservations to ensure you wont be waiting around for a table. A great place to just hang out and have a casual drink and tasty meal. read more
