It's been a hot minute since we have eaten in so this review is for the pizza and dip we've ordered a couple times recently for takeout. We have placed the same order of a pizza (1/2 luxeroni and 1/2 arcade supreme) + the artichoke dip which comes with grilled bread. The pizza is fantastic and holds up well even after a 7ish min car-ride. The pizza crust is the perfect thickness (slightly more substantial than thin) and tastes great the next day too (air fry it!). We are combo pizza topping lovers so can't ever go wrong with the supreme but we have also loved the luxeroni which has a slight kick. The artichoke dip is what Pete the Cat would say is "groovy" and "out of this world". I haven't had anything like it before and it is definitely a favorite. It's pricier than ordering from a chain but worth it to us. read more

First, I will say that overall I would definitely go back; the next time I KNOW what to change about our order! First, the food was good: the chicken was the best out of everything we ordered - garlic honey wings with enough for four people to share! Honestly, we didn't need the salad, and it wasn't anything - just some romaine & croutons with dressing on the side - i guess I expected a little more for a Caesar salad. The pizza was good, and props for offering half and half option! But DEFINITELY order the pizza EXTRA CRISPY, because we didn't, so the crust was "just okay", even a little bit soggy for my taste. The people were GREAT; it's absolutely worth going back for how friendly and nice they were, keeping it clean even if you have to go up and order at the counter first: NOTE: they need to update the beer menu on the QR because it doesn't match what's available so we had to go back to the table a few times to get it right. Good TV monitors so it's a good sports bar; I wonder if there are multiple games on (like baseball or Sunday, if they will play multiple sports? It was obviously FIFA, and everyone was watching, but what if there are other types of fans? Hopefully they take that into consideration. This place is not consistent and the food is very mid. Every time I've been here the food has come out differently. I don't know if there's a high turnoverrate in the kitchen or what... Today, the pizza crust was paper thin and the cheese was not fully melted. I also got wings which were terrible. The chicken tasted old and freezer burnt. The pepperoni on the pizza smelled "off" as well. I know it's cured meat but maybe it wasn't stored properly or just old, like the chicken wings. I wish I could go back in time and remind myself that I said that I wasn't going to eat here again. I would save myself some disappointment and $50! read more

Just right! I had a yummy fruity wheat beer. Just the right about of sweetness and not too filling. Sometimes a wheat beer can be heavy. The environment here is always super fun too! Really don't understand the food ordering cutoff time of one hour before closing. Who does that? The timing also changes from visit to visit when that cutoff is -- it used to be 45 minutes before closing but most recently it's over an hour before closing. read more

Took us awhile to make it here. Nice spot to grab a pizza and some drinks on a warm day. Like that it's kid friendly too. We ordered half pepperoni and half arcade supreme, extra crispy and double cut. The pizza was great. Plenty of toppings and the flavor was very good. The crust, sauce, cheese was also well balanced and flavorful. Definitely glad we went with extra crispy as it had just a little char on the bottom like we enjoy. We also ordered the wings. Those were pretty meh. We ordered them with the sauce on the side since the menu said there is a dry rub on them. Didn't taste any sort of dry rub and the chicken was pretty dried out. With the mango habanero sauce it was a little better, but didn't really help with the dry texture. Adults and kids didn't like them. Overall we'll be back as the pizza was very good and comparable in price to takeout pizza joints. It's also nice that the kids can just play around outside while waiting for the food. A solid brewery restaurant on the Eastside. Probably a 3.5 star for me. I rounded up for the great atmosphere/ambiance and awesome service. Before I get into the details, I wanted to note that they close super early. There were probably at least a hundred people inside when they were doing the last call at 9:30 (on a Friday!) Probably missing out a lot on the revenues but hey, maybe they already make enough money without the hustle. On weekdays, they close at 9pm. Their dark beers, imo, are too boozy. Their non-barrel-aged Chaos clocks in at over 12%. That's reaching Three Floyd's Dark Lord boozyness. Maybe it will be a great base for the barrel aged version but when served on its own, it is way too bitter and boozy. They had the Reconstructed Chaos on tap yesterday which is basically the regular Chaos rested on coffee beans. Aroma had a ton of coffee but the taste was just all booze and malt. It was okay but it could be better if they clock it down a little! Fremont's Dark Star, for instance, is a much better base beer than Formula Brewing's Chaos. With that said though, I would love to come back and try their Barrel aged version of the Chaos. I'd bet it would be phenomenal. Their hazy offering was pretty solid. They also had 2 other West coast style IPAs brewed dominantly with what appear to be Mosaic hops. While both were quire good, I wish the two were more different from each other. Both beers were basically the same except for one was slightly thinner and more carbonated than the other. I cannot remember all the names of the IPAs - I apologize! One of them was called Formula 27 and it was one of the West Coast style with mosaic hops (and it was good!) Pizza was okay! It kinda of had that "home-made" taste. Which could be a good thing. I am guessing they use clean and fresh ingredients. A bad way to say it is that it does not have much of a uniqueness. Pizza we got was called Smoke Show and the peppers really came through. If you can't handle spice, I suggest that you do not order this one. Family size is a 17 inch pie. It is probably big enough to feed 3 people or 2 very hungry adults/teens. Garlic Honey Hot wings were good! Not "hot" at all but it was nice and sweet. Next time, I will try the mango habanero. They have lots of TVs, a beautiful outdoor patio, and convenient parking lot right in front of the brewery. Staff were extremely friendly and they actually even remembered me when I went back to order more beer and then again to close out the tab. Recommended if you're in the area. Not quite at the level of destination worthy though imo. read more

Going big on this one! We just moved to Issaquah and of course the first thing I look up is breweries lol. This spot has become my go-to spot for good beer and pizza. They have a nice outdoor area and plenty of tables inside as well. It does get packed if a big game is on, but I've never had an issue finding a spot. Beer (4): They have a great selection. Drafts rotate but their staples are always good. Food (4): Their pizzas are pretty good. I could always use crispier crust, but they do a decent job. Major plus (for me)... since we just moved from SoCal, we needed a place to watch Chargers games. There's a large Chargers contingent here and they play their games (as long as it doesn't conflict with Seahawks of course)! So vibe is awesome. Staff is awesome. As someone who's not a huge fan of beer, I don't frequent beer gardens, however I gladly joined a group of eight for a social gathering one Wednesday evening. The atmosphere is super casual as guests can just grab a table and people can come and go as they please. While there is ample seating inside, I appreciated the large number of tables outside; we were lucky enough to get one that was covered. While the seating is comfortable enough, the area is pretty loud and I felt like I had to yell even when just talking to the person across from me. It seemed like the conversation was bouncing off of the tent above and there's also noise coming from the nearby freeway. For my drink of choice, I selected the PINEAPPLE RAIN SOUR (5.5% ABV) by Urban Family Brewing. I was debating whether to order one of their beers that are brewed in-house, but when I saw "pineapple", I was automatically swayed. I enjoyed my sour which had a subtle fruity flavor, but I wish I could taste the notes of vanilla as advertised in its description. They allow you to sample any of the options on tap, which you can order in 10 oz. or 16 oz. sizes. If you're seeking a non-alcoholic beverage, their lemonades seem really popular. Our group ordered a couple appetizers and three 16" pizzas which was more than enough food. + SPINACH ARTICHOKE DIP: A creamy mix of cream cheese, sour cream, spinach, artichokes, garlic, red onion and jalapeño. It came served with warm and chewy bread dippers which I believe were made from their pizza dough. They were sturdy and held up well to the rich dip which had a nice hint of heat. + FORMULA WINGS: 10 total wingettes and drumettes seasoned with the house dry rub and tossed in our choice of BBQ sauce. The wings were juicy and tender, and I enjoyed the smoky sweetness of the BBQ sauce. This is a solid appetizer. + VEGGIE PIZZA: A medley of artichokes, black olives, tomatoes, bell peppers, mushrooms and red onion covered the base of mozzarella cheese base. I appreciated the generous serving of toppings which were pretty evenly dispersed, and enjoyed the slight crunch of the bell peppers. I normally wouldn't opt for artichokes on my pizza, but since they were cut up into thinner pieces rather than in chunks, I barely noticed them. + BIG BOY PIZZA: A delicious combination of ham, sausage, pepperoni, beef, bacon and jalapeño. The menu stated this also included red onion, but I didn't taste that at all. Regardless, this was a delicious pizza that brought the heat! I loved the savory sausage crumbles especially. Both pizzas had a nice thin-ish crust that was also soft without being overly doughy. They were served piping hot and the cheese was so gooey. Although I didn't try the C-B-R (Chicken Bacon Ranch) PIZZA, it appeared to be a hit with the group. As a final note, there is limited parking in front of the building, so you can find extra space in the gravel lot that is around the corner. I have family that lives in Issaquah and this place has quietly become a go to spot whenever we visit. I just wish there were a few more quality food items on their menu. So with a limited menu, this place is a brewery first, that happens to have some pretty good pizza. It's about time I finally write a review for one of my most favorite places to eat and drink! I love pizza, and in my opinion the two best places to get pizza on the Eastside are Formula Brewing and Spark Pizza. However, we come here much more than Spark because it is the best value. The pizzas are huge and they are generous with the toppings. We especially love that they are dog friendly outside and have such a large outdoor seating area. I'm not super crazy about their beers but I will drink their IPAs. I usually prefer to get one of their cocktails. They make an amazing Whiskey Lemonade with homemade lemonade. It's just sooo good. And, they also have a Hot Toddy I like to get in the colder months. They have some great salad options as well. We tend to usually get the Caprese Salad. It's our favorite! Basically there is something for everyone here. The service is always friendly and surprisingly fast even when they are really busy. There's a reason they do really good business. Funny enough, there was not an option to do 1/2 stars, so since hubby said three and a half, and I said two and a half we went with three even! This is definitely a brew pub and not really my cuppa tea! However, it was a nice enough place if you're looking for this type of experience. The tap room is a combination of bright and dim lighting. The interior is industrial, and according to my hubby their beer was unique and very good. He had the, I Got Jokes, which is a fresh hopped pale lager. Since I'm allergic to hops this is not something that would entice me, even a wee bit. However, as I said, to himself the beer alone would have caused him to give a three and a half! The pizza according to my hubby was also unique and very good. As for me, it didn't suit my taste so much. However, as a fire cooked pizza it was loaded with lots of fresh veggies, and definitely wasn't "bad". As a chef, I tend to be a bit harder to please! To celebrate some belated birthdays came out with a friend on a Friday night. NOTE: parking is very tight unless you get lucky otherwise be prepared to park down the road on the side street or dirt and walk over. Other nights when we drive by it is not packed by on Friday nights and evenings this place is packed! We sat by the ordering line and it never stopped with people out the door most of the time. Tip1: They have Wifi password on bottom right of the menu They have indoor and outdoor seating and def would recommend maybe having a separate line for beers during busy times since it prevented us from ordering more drinks. They do close early 9pm and week days and 10pm on weekends def leaving a lot of $$$ off the table. As far as beers they do not have much if any competition on the east side. In this case the food is better than the beer IMO and if Fremont, Holy Mt, Fast Fashion or bottle Shops like Chucks or Beer junction came to this neck of the woods they would lose a lot of beer customers. For someone who drank a lot of craft beers and searched for them this would not be the go to place that said for the avg. beer drinker this place is has good beers. Hazy ipa was good (on the sweet side and light body compared to the ones I used prefer) and their dark beers smelled better than tasted and on the boozy side (12% alcohol and not barrel aged) The chicken wings are great would recommend the mango habanero and all the pizzas I've tried here have been exceptional so can't go wrong. Such a fun place! The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating, which are usually always packed and accordingly, it's a very loud dining experience. Beer selections are great and staff will let you try a bit if you're on the fence. Food and service are solid and it seems that this brewery is THE place for pizza night in the community (read: so many families!). In addition to pizza and beer, you'll find the usual suspects of appetizers, salads, etc. And although staff does go around bussing, there are stations to drop off your own dishes and to grab to-go boxes.
