This is a great spot and the pizza is excellent, beer was good as well. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Parking in front is limited but there is more parking in the back. Parking in the back can be tricky as well depending on timing of the patrons at the businesses in the back. Lots of seating but it does get busy even on weekdays.

Best place ever for a union social gathering. Love the vibes here. I had two delicious beers. The cheese pizza is on point. I love that you can sit outside despite pouring rain. Heaters and tents make it super fun and inviting. The service is also always on point. Parking is super limited out front, but loads of parking in nearby buildings. Enjoy life and treat yourself!

Great casual place for pizza and beer. There is both inside and outdoor seating, and dogs are allowed outside. We ordered the honey pot and rain potato pizzas, which I definitely recommend for something a little different. The beer menu is sizable.

Took us awhile to make it here. Nice spot to grab a pizza and some drinks on a warm day. Like that it's kid friendly too. We ordered half pepperoni and half arcade supreme, extra crispy and double cut. The pizza was great. Plenty of toppings and the flavor was very good. The crust, sauce, cheese was also well balanced and flavorful. Definitely glad we went with extra crispy as it had just a little char on the bottom like we enjoy. We also ordered the wings. Those were pretty meh. We ordered them with the sauce on the side since the menu said there is a dry rub on them. Didn't taste any sort of dry rub and the chicken was pretty dried out. With the mango habanero sauce it was a little better, but didn't really help with the dry texture. Adults and kids didn't like them. Overall we'll be back as the pizza was very good and comparable in price to takeout pizza joints. It's also nice that the kids can just play around outside while waiting for the food. Good chill vibes here. We'll be back for just pizza and drinks.

Pretty good pizza (i recommend the luxeroni) and big portions! Their wings had good seasoning. I liked their public ale beer - a nice amber color. There was plenty of space and service was pretty fast for how packed it was. Cool place for game days and large parties!

A solid brewery restaurant on the Eastside. Probably a 3.5 star for me. I rounded up for the great atmosphere/ambiance and awesome service. Before I get into the details, I wanted to note that they close super early. There were probably at least a hundred people inside when they were doing the last call at 9:30 (on a Friday!) Probably missing out a lot on the revenues but hey, maybe they already make enough money without the hustle. On weekdays, they close at 9pm. Their dark beers, imo, are too boozy. Their non-barrel-aged Chaos clocks in at over 12%. That's reaching Three Floyd's Dark Lord boozyness. Maybe it will be a great base for the barrel aged version but when served on its own, it is way too bitter and boozy. They had the Reconstructed Chaos on tap yesterday which is basically the regular Chaos rested on coffee beans. Aroma had a ton of coffee but the taste was just all booze and malt. It was okay but it could be better if they clock it down a little! Fremont's Dark Star, for instance, is a much better base beer than Formula Brewing's Chaos. With that said though, I would love to come back and try their Barrel aged version of the Chaos. I'd bet it would be phenomenal. Their hazy offering was pretty solid. They also had 2 other West coast style IPAs brewed dominantly with what appear to be Mosaic hops. While both were quire good, I wish the two were more different from each other. Both beers were basically the same except for one was slightly thinner and more carbonated than the other. I cannot remember all the names of the IPAs - I apologize! One of them was called Formula 27 and it was one of the West Coast style with mosaic hops (and it was good!) Pizza was okay! It kinda of had that "home-made" taste. Which could be a good thing. I am guessing they use clean and fresh ingredients. A bad way to say it is that it does not have much of a uniqueness. Pizza we got was called Smoke Show and the peppers really came through. If you can't handle spice, I suggest that you do not order this one. Family size is a 17 inch pie. It is probably big enough to feed 3 people or 2 very hungry adults/teens. Garlic Honey Hot wings were good! Not "hot" at all but it was nice and sweet. Next time, I will try the mango habanero. They have lots of TVs, a beautiful outdoor patio, and convenient parking lot right in front of the brewery. Staff were extremely friendly and they actually even remembered me when I went back to order more beer and then again to close out the tab. Recommended if you're in the area. Not quite at the level of destination worthy though imo.

After a long day of meetings, I brought the team to Formula Brewing for happy hour and it hit the spot. The pizza, wings, and huge pretzel were all awesome -- perfect comfort food. The beers were solid, and I even mixed it up with a cider, which was surprisingly good. The weather was perfect, so we sat outside and just relaxed. A great place to unwind with colleagues or friends.

Came here for a pre wedding meet and greet. At the time, they were very busy so there was absolutely no parking! Keep that in mind if you're stopping by on a Friday or Saturday night. It's definitely walkable from the corner hotels (Hilton/Home Suites) Aside from the parking issue, this was a cool, fun spot to hang out. The food was good. Drinks were strong and tasty. Staff was all friendly and provided quick service.

The Pilsner was great; crisp, light, and hoppy, with a slight floral finish. So refreshing after a day in the sun. The service was quick and friendly. Outdoor seating area was relaxing despite some expected road noise from I90. The pizza was a delicious bar pie! The dough was pillowy with a nice crispy crust. The cheese was loaded on and had a great, creamy texture. The sauce was mildly sweet and oh so yummy!

Going big on this one! We just moved to Issaquah and of course the first thing I look up is breweries lol. This spot has become my go-to spot for good beer and pizza. They have a nice outdoor area and plenty of tables inside as well. It does get packed if a big game is on, but I've never had an issue finding a spot. Beer (4): They have a great selection. Drafts rotate but their staples are always good. Food (4): Their pizzas are pretty good. I could always use crispier crust, but they do a decent job. Major plus (for me)... since we just moved from SoCal, we needed a place to watch Chargers games. There's a large Chargers contingent here and they play their games (as long as it doesn't conflict with Seahawks of course)! So vibe is awesome. Staff is awesome. Couldn't be happier with this spot.

As someone who's not a huge fan of beer, I don't frequent beer gardens, however I gladly joined a group of eight for a social gathering one Wednesday evening. The atmosphere is super casual as guests can just grab a table and people can come and go as they please. While there is ample seating inside, I appreciated the large number of tables outside; we were lucky enough to get one that was covered. While the seating is comfortable enough, the area is pretty loud and I felt like I had to yell even when just talking to the person across from me. It seemed like the conversation was bouncing off of the tent above and there's also noise coming from the nearby freeway. For my drink of choice, I selected the PINEAPPLE RAIN SOUR (5.5% ABV) by Urban Family Brewing. I was debating whether to order one of their beers that are brewed in-house, but when I saw "pineapple", I was automatically swayed. I enjoyed my sour which had a subtle fruity flavor, but I wish I could taste the notes of vanilla as advertised in its description. They allow you to sample any of the options on tap, which you can order in 10 oz. or 16 oz. sizes. If you're seeking a non-alcoholic beverage, their lemonades seem really popular. Our group ordered a couple appetizers and three 16" pizzas which was more than enough food. + SPINACH ARTICHOKE DIP: A creamy mix of cream cheese, sour cream, spinach, artichokes, garlic, red onion and jalapeño. It came served with warm and chewy bread dippers which I believe were made from their pizza dough. They were sturdy and held up well to the rich dip which had a nice hint of heat. + FORMULA WINGS: 10 total wingettes and drumettes seasoned with the house dry rub and tossed in our choice of BBQ sauce. The wings were juicy and tender, and I enjoyed the smoky sweetness of the BBQ sauce. This is a solid appetizer. + VEGGIE PIZZA: A medley of artichokes, black olives, tomatoes, bell peppers, mushrooms and red onion covered the base of mozzarella cheese base. I appreciated the generous serving of toppings which were pretty evenly dispersed, and enjoyed the slight crunch of the bell peppers. I normally wouldn't opt for artichokes on my pizza, but since they were cut up into thinner pieces rather than in chunks, I barely noticed them. + BIG BOY PIZZA: A delicious combination of ham, sausage, pepperoni, beef, bacon and jalapeño. The menu stated this also included red onion, but I didn't taste that at all. Regardless, this was a delicious pizza that brought the heat! I loved the savory sausage crumbles especially. Both pizzas had a nice thin-ish crust that was also soft without being overly doughy. They were served piping hot and the cheese was so gooey. Although I didn't try the C-B-R (Chicken Bacon Ranch) PIZZA, it appeared to be a hit with the group. As a final note, there is limited parking in front of the building, so you can find extra space in the gravel lot that is around the corner. Overall, Formula Brewing is a great venue for an informal gathering, especially during the warmer months!

Good pizza, beer, and great service. Super spacious with a great outdoor patio. Dog friendly! Pizza came out quickly and left us feeling satisfied. I'll be back

Great spot to enjoy a pizza and a brewski outdoors on a warm day with your dog. Tons of seating inside and out. Order at the counter and take a number. They have a nice selection of beers including a sour or two. Mostly pizzas for food but a couple other options as well. I got a small size hot honey pie which was served piping hot. It's cheesy and sloppy with fresh ingredients. It's definitely got a hefty kick to it too, a touch more than I was expecting but I was able to get it down. The heat hits a bit harder under the sun. Issaquah is a pricey area so your bill will add up quickly. A 4-slice pizza and pint of beer was already crossing $30. No table service, just sit down and eat, but the bartender was very helpful offering suggestions. They can be a bit slow bussing tables on a busy day. Easy parking right up front. Overall a good spot.

Their website was easy to navigate to find out which food truck would be there and when. We ordered our food first then handed inside to warm up before picking up our order. The space was really spacious and nice. The vibes were warm and cozy with a large TV projector screen playing sports, good music and all types of seating and tables. They have a dog water bowl near the front where you can also get water with clean cups nearby too! You can also tell it is a beloved location as it was getting quite busy and there were children, dogs, and adults enjoying the space and time with one another. We got two 10oz Diamond Knot root beers which was divine! I recently started drinking root beer from breweries and I am a huge fan, as I think brand named root beer is gross. The drink paired really well with our soul food order. The bartender was really polite and seemed to be good friends with his regulars which is a good sign. I asked him where we should put the drinks and he politely let me know to the side of where he served me would be great and there is a sign to put empty glasses as well. We will look forward to visiting when we can as we are all the way from Tacoma but it is definitely worth coming back to!

The Five Forks food truck deserves a high five, it was great. We were there with 8 of us to celebrate a birthday. First of all, the beer selection at the time had 4 or 5 pilsners and the rest almost all IPAs. I get it, IPAs sell but I don't know about the pilsners. The lack of beer variety isn't even the issue as much as NOT ALLOWING FLIGHTS! OMG, YOU'RE A SMALL BREWERY! WHO DOESN'T OFFER FLIGHTS??? I get it, investment in glasses and a little more maintenance BUT YOU'RE A SMALL BREWERY! As a business and finance person, the flights give you maximum margin on your product AND serve as a marketing tool for exposing consumers to your various products. It's actually a negative NOT to have them. Instead, we had to order multiple full glasses and shared the backwash (sarcasm but it was family). Actually you would have more money because we would have all ordered flights and then likely ordered larger of the ones we liked instead of finishing off the stuff that was meh. The beer itself was fine. There was one IPA that had some unique qualities but overall as a whole, they were just ok. Another downfall was that they sell themselves as family friendly, but had a single root beer as the only non-alcohol offering. How about just having some canned soda for the kids? I had inquired in advance about ciders for gluten free options for our celiac and they said "we have ciders" which turned out to be a single cider so that was disappointing as well. The place does have some potential, but untapped at this point.

We showed up last night, late, after we'd both been working downtown doing physical work that just wore us out. Sure, we're in our seventh decade, but we both stay busy! And we just didn't want to cook a dinner after we have given out all our energy. So we walked in, and noted that the place is brightly lit and feels homey while also feeling like a place to be comfortable and not worry about who's watching. We went up to the bar to order our food and drinks, and sat at a table with our drinks. We maybe were there about five to ten minutes and our food came out, fresh and hot and with amazing scents of delightful ingredients. I had the Spicy Burger, which comes with a *six* ounce patty, with cheese, lettuce & tomato and onion, and a spicy chipotle mayo sauce and pickled jalapenos on a brioche. I *love* spicy food anyway, and this hit the spot. Spicy enough to fill the craving I had, and juicy enough that I needed a dozen extra napkins to catch all the juices and spices. My wife had the fish & chips. The fish was made with battered cod, and it was flaky and tender to the point of being "fall apart in your mouth" fresh. The tartar sauce was very good, too. And we both were so very pleased with the fries. They cut the potatoes into strips maybe 1/4" thick and 1/2" wide, but then they dip them in beer batter before deep-frying them. They were *amazing* - crisp and hot and tasty, and well seasoned. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, and we have made it a plan that the brewery will become one of the local restaurants we will return to often for a good meal after a hard day.

In particular, the three amazing, high-quality cheeses they put on their pepperoni pizza is like a symphony in your mouth. I would just avoid adding their olives, which are green, not black, and possibly the saltiest thing I have ever had in my mouth. I doubt a teaspoon of salt would taste much saltier. After choking down one I did not eat any of the others. Why they don't offer high quality black olives, which do so much for pepperoni pizza IMO, is a head-scratcher for me. Though they brew their beer there, and they always have a stout or porter for me--I like to eat my beer with a knife and fork--I've never found it out of the ordinary. A can of Irish Death would be better. It's the pizza I go there for. But though it is my favorite place by far to have pizza, I have a bone to pick about one of the servers (most of their servers are fine): As a former fine dining restaurant server and shift manager, I'm familiar with the Washington state law that allows restaurant patrons to take partially consumed bottles of wine home with them in their cars if (a) it is resealed with its cork, and (b) they keep it in the trunk or other cargo area where humans don't normally sit. And don't touch it until they're parked at home. I'm a light drinker, and one time I only drank about half a bottle of beer. I think it might have been a large bottle, I'm not sure. Wondering if the rule I knew so well for wine might apply to beer bottles too, I asked the server if it was possible to take it home. I supposed that the main issue might be whether they had a way to seal it, since the cap was no longer good for that. He didn't know, and said he'd find out. When he returned, he said no, and acted like it was the dumbest question anyone in the universe had ever asked, or ever could ask. I had a flashback of Dixie's BBQ on Northup way by I-405 (long closed), where surly sarcasm from knuckle-dragging employees was basically a brand. Curious, today I asked Google for help. I learned that the reason it's possible with wine is because there is a special carve-out in Washington state law just for wine. The carve-out does not apply to any other type of alcohol. So it doesn't matter if you can find a way to reseal the beer bottle. Because the carve-out is only for wine, not beer. I doubt that nuance is widely known. I think it's a reasonable question. As a former server, I have a piece of advice for that server: If you ask a question of a coworker, and they answer with sarcasm, you don't pass that sarcasm on to the customer when you pass on the answer. That's bad service. In my 6 years in restaurants, I was asked my share of dumb questions. But I would never have dreamed of letting on that I thought the question was dumb. Because that's an important part of what good service is. But again, most of the servers there are fine.

I personally am not a huge fan of booth seating, but it's all they have. I was pretty grossed out that the booth was really crumby, I wish they cleaned them better. We started out with drinks, my best friend ordered the blue sparkler which i thought was really cute and she really enjoyed. I got the strawberry crush with a shot of Tito's which was dangerously delicious. It tasted like juice and I loved it. For appetizers, we got the fried cheese, which the menu claimed is the best cheese pull, and it delivered on that. I was obsessed with the ratio of breading to cheese; I'm not normally a huge fan of fried food, but this was so yummy! Maybe it was feral of me, but I mixed the ranch and the marinara together and dipped my fried cheese in, and it was totally bomb. The service here was really fast; our mains came out fairly quickly, while we were still finishing our appetizers, and both dishes were hot. My bestie ordered the grilled prawn avocado bowl, which looked absolutely delectable; her prawns looked perfectly grilled, and the avocados looked fresh and ripe. I ordered the prawn scampi linguine without the mushrooms and was obsessed with how flavourful it was. The shrimp was juicy and flavourful and I loved how creamy and garlicky the sauce was. The moment my dish got to the table I was dipping the garlic bread in the sauce and eating a bite of heaven. As someone who loves seafood, I love it when a restaurant gets it right, and I was really enjoying savouring my meal. I was still eating my lunch when our server, Marcus, tried to give us our check. I was so confused because I'd been really looking forward to getting dessert and more drinks. It made me feel rushed because I'd been looking forward to relaxing and chilling with our bestie. Our server apologised and took our bill back, but it was just so weird, I don't know why he didn't ask us first. For dessert, my bestie got the mile high mud pie, which looked so drool-worthy, I was honestly so jealous I didn't get it myself. Thankfully she let me steal some of hers and I loved it so much. I ordered the bread pudding, and while I loved the flavours and the ice cream, I feel like the bread pudding itself was super dense and dry in the middle. With dessert and while we were gossiping I ordered a tiramisu martini which was so rich and delectable, I loved how sweet the chocolate was, and the frozen texture made for the perfect drink. I can't wait to come back here with my bestie again soon!
