We ordered drinks on the order screens before grabbing a tray to check out the treats. They have a huge variety of items and everything is well labeled! We grabbed 6 baked items and tried ranking them but had a hard time because we enjoyed them all! We tried Bacon and cheese bread: 3/5, everything was on top, I think it would've been better with the cheese throughout and warmed Strawberry danish: 4/5! Very yummy, nice light cream and a crispy croissant Egg tart: 4/5! A little less eggy and more custardy than I thought it would be, but tasty! Sugar cream cheese bun: 4/5! My personal favorite! Crispy on the outside bread and soft on the inside, love the cream cheese Ube bread: 3/5, bread was good, but it was hollow with a light swipe of ube on the inside Hokkaido custard bun: 4/5! Super sweet but good! Almost too much custard for me, especially after 5 other treats, but would be great if this was the only one you had! The iced taro lavender latte was delicious!! 85 DEGREE BAKERY @ BELLEVUE Parking at this location can be a bit tricky. This 85°C Bakery is located in a large plaza that's always busy, especially since it's surrounded by popular food spots and restaurants. Because of that, the area can get pretty packed, but I was still really excited to stop by this location. As soon as you walk in, the space feels very open and spacious. I loved how big it was and how many tables they had available. Most 85°C Bakery locations feel more like a grab-and-go spot, so I appreciated that this one had plenty of seating and room to hang out. They also have touchscreen kiosks where you can order drinks and other items without needing help from a staff member. We walked around and looked at all the bakery items, and I'm always a fan of their almond croissants and protein breads. The chicken Hawaiian bun is one of my favorites, and their sausage bun is also delicious it's clearly a popular item. I also ordered their sea salt coffee. If you download the 85°C Bakery app and it's your first time using it, you get a free sea salt coffee, which was a nice bonus. While the food and drinks were great, the service was unfortunately lacking. One customer was confused about her order, and a staff member rolled her eyes at her. The same staff member also rolled her eyes at me and my family while we were in line. Overall, the staff didn't seem very friendly or welcoming. There wasn't much smiling or engagement, and it felt like everyone was annoyed rather than excited to help. We also noticed staff packaging food with boxes out in the open during our visit. I personally think this is something that should be done in the back or at least behind the register, rather than directly in front of customers. Overall, the experience was decent mainly because the bakery items and drinks were fresh and delicious. My family has been coming to this bakery every few months since they opened and we are obsessed. My go-to is the hazelnut muffin but they were completely out today. It's so perfectly rich and creamy, I love warming it up in the microwave. I wanted a Brown Sugar Milk Tea, but despite having a Brown Sugar flavoured coffee and a Milk Tea on their menu, they weren't able to make me a Brown Sugar Milk Tea. Instead, I ordered a Hazelnut Latte with oatmilk and it was really yummy. The coffee flavour was a little stronger than I normally drink but I loved the sweet balance of the hazelnut. My sister got the iced strawberry matcha latte with oatmilk and she liked the flavour but thought the strawberry chunks in the purée were too dense. The drink was super pretty though. My only complaint about this place is that they've recently gotten so popular sometimes the line is super long and only one person is working. It makes for a pretty rushed check out experience. Our cashier prompted us to pay multiple times while we were trying to order our drinks and kept having to cancel the card reader transaction which honestly took longer than if she'd just waited for us to finish ordering before trying to rush us to pay. I've never sat down at this bakery to eat, but while we were waiting for our drinks, the seating area was pretty gross with water and trash on the floor. This was the first time I've been in to this location and surprisingly it was fairly empty, which was a plus. I must've missed the rush! Most of their baked goods were running low, but they were replenishing it as I was browsing. I was able to find what I like without having to wait, which are the egg tarts, berry tale bun, and milk pudding bun. I just love how these treats are not too sweet and boy, it just melts in your mouth! So much goodness in every bite! Lastly, I like how they have everything all set up for you upon walking in. Eh, it used to be better. Sometime in the last few months it seems that they've decreased the size of all the buns by about 25%. I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure they haven't commensurately decreased the prices. Shrinkflation at its finest. Personally, I'd rather the price increase as the cost of ingredients/labor/rent increases than sneaky backhanded tricks like this. They have also started doing the scammy thing that a lot of retailers have started doing where they charge you $0.10 per bag rather than the state fee which is $0.08, presumably pocketing the difference. They're certainly entitled to charge what they want for bags, but don't call the extra 2 cents a state bag tax when it isn't. They also charge the state tax (or at least that's how they itemize it on your receipt) for small lunch bag sized paper bags, which are not subject to the state fee. Food quality is the same as it has always been, and thus location does seem to be able to keep popular items in stock fairly consistently read more

Unfortunately, the Bellevue location speaks really poorly to their customers. I witnessed a child accidentally knock over the napkin holder, an elderly man came to help pick everything up. The child ran away, and the staff member at this location decided to tell the elderly man " maybe next time you should try being more careful" I don't think any person should speak to a customer like this, especially someone who was actually stepping into Help. I just don't think the service here is great compared to other locations I've been to, constructively. Also, the bathroom is disgusting. And they have speakers inside them with music super loud. What they do well is the food is stocked and everything seems available especially if you go earlier in the day, everything looks really uniform, and the cash register does go quickly, so no lines get long. A newly found dessert delight. Deserves 5 stars for many reasons - squeaky clean, great presentation, freshly made desserts, amazing staffs, no tips asked, affordable. The desserts stands for it's freshness and taste. They keep filling the desserts regularly. You will know that the breads are freshly baked. They have cakes too - we got a strawberry cake and black forest. Both of them were made with favor rich ingredients. This place seemed like a great find because they seem to rotate the desserts, so you will find something new to try every time you do. Great stop for a rainy day. A few indoor tables but seems like more of a to-go vibe. This location has trays for the buffet snack style, but you don't really need them because everything is already wrapped in plastic. I don't love how much plastic is being used, but this is probably just a symptom of COVID. The hot sea salt matcha has a great strong matcha flavor, the salt is only at the top and brings out more flavor (I don't like a lot of salt and it wasn't overpowering at all). The mango creme brûlée was so fluffy! Not as tangy as I'd like so it didn't cut the sweet cream flavor much, but delicious nonetheless. The texture made it worth while. We love it. This bakery is great for desert sweets that aren't overly sweet. The chocolate cakes are rich but the creams are thin and light and the flavors of most buns and cakes won't overwhelm. One major complaint is that eating in is not particularly welcome. You won't find plates or knives to cut your night cakes into sharable pieces for your family. Another complaint is that by time you go in for a desert bread, two thirds of the menu will be sold out. That said, it makes for a nice bakery. The reason things are sold out is that they're good. My local 85 Degrees is teeny tiny with no indoor seating and perpetually crowded with lines out the door, so I was quite impressed by the expansive interior and practically zero wait time I encountered at this particular location of the popular Taiwanese chain which offers a wide variety of fresh baked goods and coffee/tea/smoothie drinks. Typical Asian tastebuds prefer cakes that are much less sweet than American ones generally do, and my family's is no exception. I love, love, love how airy, light, and flavorsome (without an over-reliance on sugar) the cakes here are. Beautifully decorated full cakes are available - and you do get more bang for your buck that way - but I hate to limit myself to just one flavor so usually end up buying individual slices which are very pretty as well! Bonus: 85 Degrees does an excellent job with packaging - each slice is wrapped in cellophane and placed in a cute little box for maximum protection. read more

The only reason I have not been to this place before today coz it's jam packed everytime I am in the area. When I swung by for a late grocery run in the area, I finally saw no line. I went in and ordered their fresh strawberry milk tea. And it's well worth the hype! Price is reasonable. The variety of cakes and pastries also seems to be nice. This review is only for their teas. Their "fresh" hot oolong tea comes automatically sweetened to an undrinkable level of sweetness. I think the flavor of the tea was pretty good under all the sugar but hard to be sure. I've never heard of a place that sweetens hot tea as default. They really should warn people and give them the option to leave it out. read more

They make their breads, pastries, and cakes fresh each day. However, depending on the time of the day, they may sell out of your favorite. My favorite thing to get is the Potato Croquette. I also enjoy the Coffee Milk Butter Bread. You can find the names and pictures of all their menu items on their website. Whatever you choose, you'll probably end up buying a box full off goodies with how good everything looks. In terms of their drinks, I've tried their Sea Salt Oolong Tea and Milk Tea. Decided to pop back in to grab a Hawaiian chicken bun and a chocolate muffin, and love how everything in the shelves are neat and fresh--they even have a new refrigerator to sell jugs of their milk tea and pudding! Now you can have your 85c milk tea in bulk. Their cakes are delicious and irresistible. The atmosphere is nice when there's no crowd. Cashiers are always knowledgeable and attentive, never had an issue and always got detailed answers about the flavors or ingredients in their breads.
