Coming here is like a little gift to yourself. This little bakery in the Crossroads mall is a hidden gem. The fresh strawberry milk was one of the best I've ever had. Hand made on the spot, it was the perfect level of sweetness. I paired that with the moist strawberry roll cake and felt like a kid again. The service was polite and you can tell he pays attention to his craft. Came on a busy Friday night in the mall and took in a free show put on by an accordion troupe. June Bakery is a Korean bakery located in the Crossroads Mall. I sometimes forget it's here since I don't wander far from Half Price Books, but recently learned about the croffles sold here, so had to check it out. I love croissants and I love waffles, so what could go wrong with a hybrid? I was happy to learn that June Bakery had this hybrid, the croffle; but unfortunately, I found the croffles to just be A-OK. My friend and I visited June Bakery on a late Saturday morning and we both wanted to try the croffles. I liked that they had an assortment of different types of croffles; therefore, I ended up trying the cookies and cream croffle and the Nutella dipped one, while my friend had a pistachio croffle. My friend and I both attempted to try it soon after we ordered it, but we found the croffle to be stiff and cold since it was refrigerated. With that said, we waited for it to thaw out, which did taste better since it softened. But quite honestly, the texture was still too stiff unlike the soft and chewy texture I was hoping for that you normally get with a waffle base. I think if the croffles were made fresh it would be sooo much better versus pre-made. All in all, I expected more from the croffle, so likely would not get this again. However, June Bakery does sell other baked goods and drinks, so perhaps I'll have better luck with those. But unfortunately, I can't recommend the croffles. read more

The bakery posted their holiday cake specials on Instagram, which I came across and ordered via Instagram message. They were attentive and replied to my questions within a timely manner. I brought the cake home a day before the family gathering, and it was absolutely delicious the following day. T'was a light cake with light fluffy and adorable frosting, not overly sweet. I've dropped by June Bakery on and off for several years ever since they opened in a little corner of Crossroads Mall, at the edge of the food court, next to the Jo-Ann Fabrics mall entrance, opposite side of the stage. I have tried a number of their buns over the years. I always thought the bread is just a tad more dense than other Asian bread varieties. Someone told me about their custard bun, but I didn't find it during this visit. Instead, I bought their Swiss rolls - a matcha one and a chocolate one. Both were quite good, very light and very soft. They make for a good treat but still relatively standard for an Asian Swiss roll. But it does indicate that their cakes should be promising, texture and taste wise. Lastly, they have a large selection of macarons. LARGE. Comments from others were mixed, and I decided not to dive into them. If you are a connoisseur and want to sample every source, it's worth a try. read more

I use to go here precovid to get all my Korean bread but I'm surprised that now they offer Korean croffles (croissant waffles)! I tried basically all their croffles and man it's soooo good! The ones with cream on top are VERY CREAMY; only people who like lots of cream will enjoy this, so perfect for me! If you're not a cream person then try the pistachio, Oreo or even chocolate croffles! Those are just as good! Their strawberry milk and dalgona latte are perfect sweetness! Loved the croffle with whipped cream and strawberries. Cream was very light. Croffle was sweet and crunchy from melted sugar. I also got the mango lemonade which was very refreshing. The only lemonade that uses real fruit is the strawberry and the mango lemonade. read more

I've stopped at June Bakery in Crossroads a few times over the years, but stopped by most recently to try their new Dalgona Milk. I was worried it would be super, super sweet -- but it wasn't! The ratio of dalgona to milk was just right for me. It was a nice, refreshing, sweet treat. My one recommendation might be a slightly longer straw or a shorter lid. But to be fair the rounded top looks nice with the dalgona pieces -- very instagamable! Lol Right now they are offering dalgona milk and a slice of vanilla fruit cake for $10 (or the drink and two macarons for $11). I haven't tried the macarons, but the cake was good with light whip cream icing. I would have liked a little more fruit, but I still really enjoyed it. Plus there are lots of other options available, including cute roll cake slices. read more

The macaroons are usually really good. I've had two complaints. First the prices were wrong because it was more expensive to buy multiples than it would be to buy each macaroon separately. I mentioned it and the worker said I was wrong but then later changed the prices. () Today, I went in and got a pistachio macaroon. I bit it and it was superrr crunchy so I looked at it. And there was a hair sticking out. I opened it and the hair was baked in it. The chocolate macaroon wasn't as crunchy but it was getting there. read more

On a whim I came in looking for a little treat while shopping at Crossroads Mall. I had the strawberry swiss roll and it was delicious! Light airy vanilla cake with a nice homemade strawberry jelly swirled in, all of it lightly sweetened. Glad I stopped by, what a pleasant treat. The cakes at this bakery are so so cute!! I went to get a cake for my boyfriend and they had various sizes. I got a mini cake which was perfect for us 2 (a whole cake would have been way too much). The frosting is super light and fluffy, and the whole cake is just very light and doesn't weigh you down at all. It also isn't too sweet which was perfect. The girl working there when I went was also super sweet. Cake comes with candles and a big plastic knife :) It is a bit pricier ($20 for the mini cake), but in my opinion, the price is justified because the cake is so well made. IT WAS AMAZINGLY GOOD!!!! I have been emotionally drowning from whole covid situation that has been draining my energy then my boyfriend decided to take me for fishing to freshen up our minds. On our way to a Lake Washington fishing dock we decided to give a small visit to my favorite bakery. This Fam owned place has been wakening my nostalgic childhood in Korea. I ended up getting so many macarons along with Korean pastries for snacking. Regardless of their business in downside due to lack of shoppers at the crossroads mall, the quality of their products remained superb. I really appreciate all the small businesses trying to keep up with their quality control during this unprecedented time. Also their friendly service was heart warming and I really hope their business to thrive again. I ended up getting so many macarons because they are so pretty and I needed some sugar rush. It was sooo good and moist and perfectly chewy. And i could not believe it was 20$ for 11 of those. Most affordable macarons is ever. This review is only for the MACARONS. My husband and I just moved to the Bellevue area and I love Macarons, so it is my goal to find a place that has great ones. I found June bakery yesterday and arrived around 1pm. I had never been inside crossroads shopping mall so I had no idea where to enter, but I did find my way. It is a very small bakery that is most likely Korean owned. They have mostly baked breads and buns, many items you'd find at korean bakeries. The macaroni selection was sparse at this time of day. There were only 5 flavors left out of 10 or so. I got the box of 5 at $10. They are $2 each anyway so it is not a deal, just to point out. I did notice right away that because there were so few left, that made me think they must be a popular selection there. Well... that may be so, but not with me. They have so much cream inside, it is more reminiscent of a whoopie pie or something. The best one for me was the fruity pebbles, which I thought I would like the least. That is because it was the least sweet and had the most flavor. The strawberry was was weirdly bitter and inedible. I literally spit it out and didn't try again. The vanilla tasted like nothing, the coconut tasted almost exactly like the vanilla, and the cookies and cream was so bland as well. They were all so full of that sugary cream that by the 3rd one, I was starting to feel sick. I ate a total of 3 1/2 and I now officially feel sick. the heavy sugar is sitting inside my stomach and it's making me queasy. I have never had this experience with another macaron. Ew . I had high hopes so this is incredibly disappointing. I really think this deserves 2 stars. I will not be returning to try the flavors I missed. These macarons need way less cream filling and way more flavor, in my opinion. Hard pass. read more

I honestly really wanted to like this place and was extremely excited to try it! What a disappointing experience though! The croffles were all already made and waiting in the fridge. This would be ok if they weren't sooooo stale. I could barely chew without hurting my jaw. Another disappointment was the stinginess of the business. I was looking for a birthday cake for my wife and decided to give June bakery a try. For birthday cakes, there are only 2 options - fruit cake and blueberry chiffon. They had a small and a large cake of both types in the display. The fruit cake was the only one available in medium size (6 inch), so I ordered that one. Clearly one of the best cakes I've ever had! It was so feathery light that it melted seamlessly in the mouth. Usually the frosting of other cakes is super sweet with a week's worth of sugar content packed in a single serving, but this one was perfect with low sugar. There were a few strawberries and blueberries on top and they were dipped in a sugary syrup which wasn't overly sweet either. Finishing off the cake wasn't an issue at all. I'm looking forward to trying the blueberry chiffon cake next. Only complaint was it's a bit expensive for the 6 inch ($35 plus taxes), the taste however makes up for it. read more

I wanted to give it a quick try during my stroll inside the Crossroads mall and I got the 5 pack macaroons. I tried coffee, hazelnut chocolate, coconut, vanilla and pistachio. My personal favorites were the coconut, hazelnut chocolate and the coffee ones. I loved all of them though. They were soft in bite with a generous amount of cream filled inside. Only reason to take off a star is the price point. I feel I could have gotten an decent sized cake for the price of the 5 pack macaroons. That being said, I am definitely going to try their pastries next time I revisit. read more

Bakery inside Crossroad Mall. Purchased a mango mousse cake and it didn't disappoint me. The cake was moist and tasted fresh. Though I did not taste a strong mango taste, but the mousse was creamy and foamy enough to satisfy my tastebuds. Same as most Asian bakeries, the cake base is like a sponge cake type, soft and not overly sweet at all. There was a good balance of whipped cream and sponge cake. I did not try other bread or cake, but would love to on my next visit. The owner seems friendly. read more

Tried to reach them a few times by calling their store number but every time, it would say the line is not in service. Even attempted their Instagram page but no response. Never received a phone call or message from them about any issues with my order. In the end, I disputed the charge with my credit card company and bought a cake elsewhere. I'm glad to see this business here seeing how it offers something new and different from what Crossroads gives you. The space is smaller, but there are lots of pastries to certainly look at. Most are very affordable as well, so I doubt one can walk out with just 1 treat in their hands. The CUSTARD CREAM pastry! Definitely my favorite so far. The outside bun is soft, and the inside filling is loaded up and delicious. Dare I say it's better than a Boston cream donut?? The green tea pastry, despite it's attractive shape is a bit disappointing though. The flavor isn't apparent, and the filling texture caught me off guard with something more along the lines of a grainy red bean filling. The cinnamon "brownie", isn't quite the dense brownie texture either. It's really a soft slightly crumbling cake instead. They are definitely still new (I was told approximately 3 months old), but I'm willing to give them another shot to try their other baked goodies again...of just get more custard pastry. read more

June Bakery is a new Korean bakery that opened inside Crossroads Mall across from the stage area in the complex. This is the 3rd Korean bakery to open up in Bellevue after Boulangerie in Factoria and Tous Les Jours in downtown Bellevue. It is a really small storefront with barely any room to move around as a large table full of pastries takes up much of the space. You will find buns, cakes and cookies here at prices comparable to the other aforementioned Korean bakeries. Got a couple pastries. Tried the red bean bun ($1.75) and cream bun ($2.50). The red bean bun was alright. It wasn't very soft so I had to reheat it in the microwave. Filling tasted the same as previous versions I have had. As for the cream bun, this was easily my favorite of the two. The cream bun has a nice cookie crust texture. It was fluffy and soft when I squeezed it to test freshness and the cream was nice and thick the way I like it. Though the selection here isn't the greatest, I like that this bakery is close to home. I feel that I will frequent it when I want something sweet to eat nearby. read more

Have passed by this little bakery more then a few times over the years, finally just went in as I was having a craving for macaroons and man am I kicking myself for not going in sooner!!! Absolutely delicious macaroons- I picked up a few to try some of the different flavors. Each one was baked perfect with amazing flavors. My hubby (who isn't a big sweets person) split one of the chocolate chip cookie cheesecake tart things and he was loving it! I have tried their breads and macaroons. I would say their breads are better than their macaroons. They substituted some ingredients in their macaroons and they tasted very wacky. I make macaroons at home, so I know what the correct texture and mouth feel. I could not even taste the almond flavor. What they did here is definitely not the traditional French style (not in a good way) Not only the shell, their filling is not right either, it was way too creamy. They started out with breads and cakes, and added the macaroons fairly recent. Since their bread and cakes are pretty good. I was excited to try their macaroons. Never again. I find this place hit or miss. Their creame cheese filled buns are delicious but the garlic bread pastry was just so so.
