I think the quality and prices of the bread here are comparable to those at other Asian bakeries in the area. A good thing about this bakery is that, since it's a Korean bakery, they make things like croquette bread that Chinese or Taiwanese bakeries may not have. I tired their croquette bread and liked it very much. My son and I shared an an-pan (sweetened red beans), and we were both lukewarm about it. Finally a Korean bakery! Their breads are light and slightly sweet - typical of asian breads and pastries. They said the blueberry cream cheese is the most popular. My favorite are the roll cakes (only $8.99!! how??!) and the cup danish. My mom loves the red bean style breads and the Mont Blanc (basically a big ass croissant). They write all the ingredients and because it's all freshly made, there were no preservatives. Prices were cheaper than the bakery inside the Bellevue Hmart. read more

To be brutally honest, after tasting several items side by side with 85 Degrees and an unnamed bakery inside an Asian grocery store, June bakery was very underwhelming. Fillings and cake didn't taste like the fruit or chocolate it claimed to represent. I'm not saying it wasn't moist and visually beautiful, but if you compared it to others, it was just forgettable. I'm puzzled at the 5 star reviews, and I implore those reviewers to try other bakeries and do a comparison. In the end, June Bakery is adequate, but I would only eat here in a pinch or desperate for sugar. Sorry June, just amp up the flavor and you're golden. read more

Man oh man where do I start. I was literally just in here maybe 10-15 mins ago. All night I was on a search for fried calamari at multiple bubble tea spots. Since 7:30pm to be exact. Everywhere I went I kept getting turned away all the kitchens were closed and hr to an hour and a half early. Boba express was the last place to turn me down for some delicious calamari. Very sad I walked away to this little wee corner of the mall. . . I see light bright that says "June Bakery". It was calling me in to comfort me. I walk in and it's a small humble shop not too much not too little selection, just your essentials of typical Korean bakery you'd see in Korea. Anyways I order the Vanilla Fruit Cake one bite and I almost cried. It was like my childhood all over again, it's very similar to the Vietnamese fruit cakes ( the one everyone got for their birthdays). Unfortunately for Vietnamese fruit cakes they don't sell them by slices, so I don't buy them. Now I know where to get them! Here at June Bakery. The texture here was just right, not too soft where it would get soggy but wasn't hard either. The cream and fruit really compliments each other, as the cake as a whole isn't too sweet just the way I like. Everyone knows Asian sweets aren't as sweet as Western style, so it's nice to see an Asian owned bakery that caters to Asian taste. Originally, I would give this place a 4 star, but I have to mark it down after what I bought and ate. First, it is a small bakery inside crossroad mall, so they have very limited variety of breads and pastries. The price is definitely a little higher than most places. What's nice is that they have samples of some of the pastries, and I was able to try them. They all tasted fresh, high quality and delicious. The cashier was also very nice and was able to answer all my questions. I decided to buy a mocha almond cream bread thinking it would have similar quality as the sample ones. It also looked like it was a popular one as I took the last bread. After paying, I opened the bread excited to eat it, but when I took my first bite, I was so disappointed. It was dry, almost stale and the cream lacked flavors. You can barely taste the mocha cream and the almond was so minimal that you couldn't tell there was almond in it unless you saw them physically. I would have given this place a 2 star, but the other pastries that I sampled was good and the service was good. Maybe if I am in the area, I would give it another try and get something else. read more

June Bakery opened recently and without much fanfare. It's occupying that little space next to Jo-Ann Fabrics by the food court. I've seen a lot of places come and go in this spot. I sincerely hope they'll do well as their pastries are quite good! This is an Asian-style bakery and I believe this is their second location (their original location appears to be in Federal Way). They have an assortment of small pastries, pastry samples, and cakes. I picked up a few custard buns and they were excellent. The bread is light, somewhat airy with a subtle sweetness. The inside was filled with a custard cream. It was fragrant and on the light side. This too was sweet, but not overwhelmingly so. Overall, this place is worth visiting if you're in the area. The Crossroads food court is amazingly diverse in offerings and this place fits right in. read more

I love this bakery! I've known June bakery ever since I lived in Federal way. They have fresh baked bread and pastries with variety of flavors everyday. All their breads are soft and just right amount of sweet/savory. Macaroons come with such vibrant colors and pleasant flavors that I love pick and choose them at the place. The people there are also very nice and they welcome me warmly every time I visit. I would definitely visit again to buy more breads for breakfast and macaroons for desserts! read more

I had to try the macarons after the mixed reviews. The flavors and cream in the middle were delicious! The outsides were a little more dense than I liked (prefer extra light and airy) but still tasted wonderful. Tried 5 flavors - guava mango, matcha, coffee, almond butter, and the one with berry mix. The Bakery here isn't as great as their location in Federal way. The prices here are comparable to the other Asian bakeries on the Eastside. They don't carry sponge cake here but they do have samples. This location feels very small and cramped but The interior is very nice though. I got the green tea and blueberry Swiss cake but it was very dry and it did not taste as good as it looked.. The green tea was the worst. The mocha and strawberry bun is plain and sour. Anything else that has cream cheese in it taste like it's been sitting all day and it has a hint of smell. (I came an hr before closing) I've been here twice. We came in and got 2 of their egg tarts for $5. It is not like a usual dim sum size which are quite small, but rather comparable to the size of a hockey puck (except taller, too). The bread he is not that great but a welcome addition to crossroad mall. One of the first things I noticed was they pack their bread super tight in the plastic that it comes in. I was quite impressed walking in. Cute shop, things smelled good, and me not knowing what everything was. I spent just under $30. What I bought..... The macarons were a real odd grainy. I had to finally brush my teeth to get rid of that. I asked about the mill bread and was told it simply had some milk in it. So, I bought milk bread. It was quite sweet, which was just ... odd. I think I'll try French toast with it, but the texture was different and I think the bread will go soggy and fall apart when I take it out of the egg mixture. Maybe pancake turner will help with that....? I bought some of the filled buns. When opened they were more like a weirdly sweet hamburger bun. And there was ONE berry in it. There was another unknown substance that was quite dried out. One bite and tossed. The garlic baguettes were HARD. I mean, we couldn't break bites off with our teeth. Pretty standard Korean style bakery. This place is pretty small so they have less variety than Tous les jours. As far as we could tell, the baked items they do have are identical in terms of taste and quality. We bought several things and they also had samples. Their fruit and creme bun is really good. Very fresh and not too sweet. The melon bun had no melon flavor at all. I wonder if it had been mislabeled. I wandered into this place and tried a sample of a cream bun. It is heavenly! Not too sweet. But fluffy, light and a egg custard like cream inside. The simple and short ingredient list impressed me too. And the taste? Sooo good. I'm hooked. Cream buns are my new favorite thing. Tried the cream cheese buns too. They have a great selection of pastries that change every time I come in. They have flavors that are familiar as well as ones I haven't seen from other nearby Asian bakeries. The location is also convenient for a snack after shopping! I only docked 1 star because the swiss rolls were a bit dry. This new Asian bakery locates in Crossroads mall right next to the Jo-Ann store, I bought 2 buns and 2 pieces of Swiss rolls (green tea and chestnut) to try. The buns were okay, I wasn't too impressed with the Swiss rolls though, they look good but taste bland, not much green tea or chestnut flavor, maybe the taste of the pastries will get better in the future since they are still new. read more

So being a person that lives in Washington and actually travels through the state lol I came across Junes cafe at the crossroads mall in Bellevue. Now I am very much aware that there is one in federal way and they're so good! So I was extremely happy to see one at crossroads mall since I now reside in the area. I probably go to this mall everyday and so I was waiting for this place to open and once they did oh my was I happy! I walked in and saw the abundance of Asian sweets and baked goods it was amazing the aroma was amazing and the pricing is very fair! I orders a mocha bun for a grand total of 1.65 and it was delicious! What I like about asain sweets is that they are never super super sweet they have just enough sugar JUST ENOUGH!!! The bread was very soft! Not dry!! And wasn't very sweet which paired well with the mocha cream in the center. I will be back to try other items off the menu. read more

Had a worst experience which ruined my surprise and me upset. So I had ordered a cake a before my husband's birthday and guess what on the pick up day the cake was not ready.. They asked to pick it up in evening and I went in evening and there it was not ready It was at crossroads location. The lady there said the manager forgot about the order. What..!! Just walked in for the first time today and HAD to write a review. It is in a mall, yes, BUT it has excellent friendly service and the food is very fresh and well organized. Upon walking in, it doesn't give you a mall feel despite the outside appearance. There is really nice music playing and there is a high end feel but the food is decently priced. There are samplers placed around the store, all really good and I can tell the samples were fresh. Each sample I tasted was fantastic! The labels of each item were very cute and easy to read and they also had the ingredients listed. Overall, great place if you want a little snack! read more

This is a cute little Korean bakery in Crossroads Mall. I've been here once a while back but I didn't really care for the quality of their bread at that time. I decided to give it another try a few months later, and I can see a lot of improvement already. Their breads look and taste fresher than the last time I visited. They also made some improvements in the appearance of the breads. I was told by the cashier that they got new bakers so everything is fluffier and tastier. Honestly, the prices aren't too bad. I noticed that they are selling drip coffee and green tea now, which they weren't selling before when I visited. I bought the chocolate custard danish, cream cheese danish, soft milk bread, and croquette, and they were really good. They have their main bakery in Federal Way. The bread at their main bakery is always good because it's always fresh since the breads are made in the back. Definitely should check it out. Overall, I think June Bakery has potential and hopefully will stick around. read more

While I have only purchased the containers of bite sized cookies (for my 2 and 5 year old) this has become our new favorite place to get a special treat. The cookies are packaged in cute little pastic cups and though a bit pricey, there are plenty of choices. We prefer the piped vanilla cookies to some of the others (some tend to be a little dry) but all we have tried are delicious. We will be back. read more
