Black Forest chocolate cake

Buyer BEWARE!! This Issaquah location sold us an old, moldy fruit cake! One bite & had to spit it out. Something was very wrong, checked the fresh fruit on top & they were all moldy! Why Regent, why?????????

I was really disappointed with my experience here. After spending over $30 on pastries, we simply asked for a glass of tap water and were told we'd have to pay for it. Charging customers for tap water after a sizable purchase feels incredibly stingy and unwelcoming. Good pastries don't make up for poor customer service and lack of basic courtesy. I won't be coming back, and I wouldn't recommend this place based on how they treat paying customers. Also there was no trash bin at all !!! I will not come back to store for sure

Grapefruit Green Tea with tapioca
Smaly K.

Was in the area, and decided to stop by when I realized there was a shop in the area. Been to other locations before, so I came here to grab a bubble tea. I got the Grapefruit Green Tea and my bf got the Lychee Green Tea. We didn't see any pastries we really wanted to try. I got my Grapefruit Green Tea with 25% sugar, but it tasted like it had no sugar. It tasted almost like plain unsweetened tea or water, and I probably wouldn't have mind it if the tapioca was good. The tapioca was too soft and mushy. My bf liked his lychee tea though, although I didn't see anything special about it.

FRUIY FLIES!! there were 2 of them flying inside

YUCK!!! Wanted to check this location since we were in the area and it will be the LAST TIME!!!!! We bought 2 of bacon and egg bread for our son to have for the weekend. By the following day, when we were about to open the plastic packaging to heat and serve there were FRUIT FLIES flying inside the bag!!!! At least 2 flies on each bread! I have bought pastries before from other stores that serve this similar bread (T&T / PB) and never had an issue even when it was consumed a few days later. BUYER BEWARE!!! So gross!!!!!

Regent Bakery & Cafe in Issaquah, Washington, offers a clean and welcoming environment with convenient parking, even as the area sees more foot traffic from new businesses opening nearby. The staff has always been friendly, and there have been no negative interactions yet. so yay! Lol One thing to note is that prices here are on the higher side compared to other bakeries, which could be attributed to the cost of the location and overhead expenses. However, the quality of their cakes, particularly the fruit cakes and tiramisu, has been consistently impressive. Both have received positive feedback when shared with guests and family, which speaks to the overall quality of their baked goods. That said, my only major complaint is with the pork bun. While the bread itself is soft and flavorful, the filling leaves much to be desired. The portion of meat inside is quite minimal compared to the amount of bread, which feels like you're paying more for the dough than the filling. It's a bit disappointing, given the price point. Overall, Regent Bakery & Cafe is worth a visit for its quality cakes and pleasant atmosphere, but you may want to think twice about the pork bun if you're after something more filling.

Got an Assorted baked goods. Love the new box!

Used to go to their original location for years. Super excited they opened a location in Issaquah as I work nearby. I was hoping they serve food like their other location in Redmond. Their Black Forest cake, Chestnut cake, Chocolate mousse cake are my all time favorites!! Love the new box design!

Best cakes and buns in the town! My favorites are chocolate mousse, pineapple taro bun, and the coffee sponge cake they bake fresh daily.

Coffee mediocre. No cinnamon buns. Should offer smaller pastries. Could be more customer friendly.

This place has such a cozy, welcoming vibe with plenty of seating to sit back and actually enjoy your drink (bonus points for offering real "for here" cups!). Their selection is impressive--everything from classic coffee drinks to a variety of pastries, plus even beer and other beverages if you're stopping by later in the day. I had a savory biscuit with cheese and herbs that was great and the perfect pairing with my cortado. There were tons of other tempting options too, from pastries to bagels and more. Overall, just a really nice spot with great offerings and a relaxed atmosphere. Such a great find--I'll definitely be back!

My go-to is a 16oz iced oat milk with mocha and I love how perfectly the chocolate is incorporated into the drink every time. No matter how long it takes me to finish my drink, if the ice all melts or I drink it quickly, it tastes delicious. I just wish they had better food. I don't love how greasy their croissants and sandwiches are. I wish they had better breakfasts or served food with protein that was less oily. I don't think I've ever enjoyed a sandwich I've gotten from here, and I swear I try them at least every other month. The vibes totally make up for their gross sammies and are my favourite thing about this place!! I love coming here for a reading date or to craft and yap with friends. It feels like such a community oriented space and I love getting to enjoy it with my friends. I just wish they were open later than 6pm.

There's so much natural light and this would definitely be the perfect spot for a brunch date or coffee chat with friends. I ordered a belgian hot chocolate with oat milk and I adored how rich and creamy the chocolate was!! They made my drink perfectly and it stayed warm for hours while we were driving up to the pass. My boyfriend loved his Turkish Milk Tea, which he sweetened with sugar. I've tried iced milk tea but I've never had it hot, and the sip I had tasted of his drink was delicious! Neither of us had ever tried a Simit before and my taste buds loved with the light and airy texture of the dough. It tastes just like a sesame bagel and my boyfriend and I enjoyed sharing it. My boyfriend really appreciated how many authentic Turkish items were on the menu and that the flavours were so fresh and bold. We definitely will have to come back for lunch sometime!

There are a handful of tables which is nice and plenty of parking in the shared lot. My friends frequent this place since it is in Issaquah and convenient. The workers are trained well and are very polite. The drinks are made well, too. The space is kind of oddly shaped, but I like that they try to curate some seating and it's cute. The drinks are a little more classy than your average boba shop. I like that they offer seasonal flavors and on my last visit, I tried their sweet potato one that was their seasonal fall flavor and it was excellent. The drinks are maybe a little on the pricey side, but I enjoy the proper unique flavors and that their drinks are made well. If you ever find yourself in Issaquah and wanting some boba, this is the place to go!! There really aren't a lot of other places to go honestly. Located in a small business strip in Issaquah across from the Gilman Village, parking is easy to find in the lot, but it can be limited with the space and other businesses around. Inside, the shop is very cute, with pastel decore, velvet seats and tables, and plenty of places for photo ops. I ordered the ube matcha latte and the seasonal pandan donut, which were both good. I love ube, so was glad to know that they make their own ube flavoring here, which was the best part of the drink. I also liked the pandan donut, but it was very sweet and rich. The menu offers a lot to choose from, with different drinks and treats, including those you can see in the case, such as the ube cookie, ube basque cheesecake, etc. Glad to know Bobae has another spot on the Eastside, making it easy for me to get to.

I'm diabetic so I tend to ask for all sugar free drinks. First time, a few weeks ago I asked the gal at the window for all sugar free - redbull and syrups. She let the gal making the drinks know sugar free everything. The gal making the drinks started adding the regular syrups and I tried to tell the gal at the window that it should have been all sugar free. The gal making the drinks got frustrated and said "you should have told me" when she did. The gal at the window then said "it's okay we can give it to the next person" and the gal making the drinks in a snarky voice said "no one orders sugar free" and then proceeded to make my drink wrong again. Second time being last week, sent my coworker to get some drinks for us. I get really busy as I have back to back clients and needed a pick me up. Again, my coworker asked for all sugar free with a bit of cream in it. She was given the wrong drink and I only realized it after I had taken a big sip of it. Cream also curdles with sugar free drinks and it was not curdled. Wish they listened to their customers as some of us have dietary restrictions and also not making us feel like a burden for asking for sugar free items. Amazonia Cafe by the 76 in Issaquah is way better as in they listen and get to know their customers!

Each of us ordered a slice of crepe cake, which felt like a perfect way to end the night. Out of the seven slices, my husband's slice was still frozen in the middle. I walked up to the counter where two young guys were working and politely asked if we could get a different slice, since everyone else was already seated and eating. Instead of acknowledging me, they immediately started speaking Chinese to each other without even a simple "one moment" or any indication they were discussing the issue, so I eventually just walked back to our table. About five minutes later, after they had apparently consulted with a woman in the back, one of the guys finally came over and told us they would not exchange the slice because my husband had already tried it. We were all just sitting there, honestly dumbfounded. A basic level of customer service would have been to apologize and swap one slice of cake, especially when you have a whole group there to celebrate. You didn't just refuse to replace a frozen slice of cake--you lost seven customers over the way you handled it. We will not be coming back.
