    Japanese Buckwheat Milk Tea
    Kimmy L.

Rabbit Rabbit is one of the newer bubble tea chain additions to Issaquah. It is located in Gilman Plaza and shares a space with One N Half Lab. For those wondering, the rabbit refers to the Alice and Wonderland White Rabbit as signified by the Alice in Wonderland quote on the side of the cups. I'm not sure what was located here before Rabbit Rabbit moved in, but the restaurant has a narrow but deep interior. They have two touchscreen kiosks you use to order both food and drinks and so there's not really any customer service or interaction other than the bobarista calling out your order to pick up at the counter. The boba menu includes a variety of milk teas (including oolong, black, green, and matcha), fruit teas, and several types of brown sugar boba milk teas. Drinks are about $6.50 and up and toppings are about $0.80 extra depending on the topping. My friend ordered a taro milk tea and I ordered JAPANESE BUCKWHEAT MILK TEA (50% sugar, no ice) since it sounded different and was what other Yelp reviewers had suggested trying in their reviews. It was also caffeine-free which was a perfect for a late Sunday afternoon. The JAPANESE BUCKWHEAT MILK TEA was interesting and wasn't quite what I was expecting. It honestly tasted like I was drinking a Ritz cracker- it was slightly salty, slightly sweet, and definitely had strong tastes of wheat. 50% was just the right sweetness for me as someone who usually prefers 30-50% sweetness at other boba places. Personally, I don't think I'd get this drink again and would probably stick to a basic black or green milk tea next time. The atmosphere is pretty chill overall. Most people ordered their drinks to go. However, my friend and I dined in and the table we sat at had food crumbs on the table. Thus, it was evident the table had not been wiped down before we sat down. The floor looked relatively clean though. Overall: 3/5 for drinks, 3/5 for service, 3/5 for atmosphere

Fun options! 2 kiosks to order from. Teas have good flavor! 25% sweet was accurate. The taro milk tea was fresh, the fresh taro on the other hand was fine, but chunky yet mushy and difficult to drink. Too much added for one serving. So would definitely go back! But wouldn't get the taro next time. No sipping lid for salt cream which made it a bit hard to drink. Service was sweet but a tad slow. The rabbit face straw additions are adorable, but a bit tight so couldn't keep it on to drink, but photo worthy lol! I'll be going back to try the other options because it's always possible I just happened to get the wrong ones

Fast and friendly service. From the outside, you cannot see any signage showing Rabbit Rabbit Tea since it is located within One N Half Lab. The store front parking is convenient and plenty.

Japanese Buckwheat Milk Tea with boba ($5.25 + $0.80 for boba)

This is the newest option for boba tea in Issaquah, situated inside a café called One Half Lab. The shop is not super visible since it's in the corner of a strip mall, so it's easy to miss unless you have the intention of seeking it out. At 1:00PM, there were just a couple customers ahead of us picking up tea. Only a single employee was behind the counter, catering to orders and managing the eatery. She was very kind and did a great job crafting our drinks. I was curious about the flavor of the Japanese Buckwheat tea, so she asked if I wanted a small sample. Yes please! She also gladly allowed for a boba substitute in one of our drinks that automatically came with lychee jelly (we weren't able to request this change via the self-ordering screen). I appreciated how the menu clearly depicts which drinks could be made hot, iced, or caffeine-free. Also, look for the little rabbit icon which indicates their recommended items. I got the JAPANESE BUCKWHEAT MILK TEA with boba ($5.25 + $0.80), 25% sugar and 30% ice. It had a very unique and unexpected flavor! When I tried the sample of just the pure tea, it had strong toasty notes. With the added milk, it reminded me of a lightly toasted, slightly sweet coconut cookie. I was pleasantly surprised! The boba was barely sweetened, so my choice of 25% sugar was just right. I really enjoyed this drink and it's also caffeine-free, which is a bonus in my book! My companions enjoyed the Taro Milk Tea and Lychee Green Tea as well. The prices of the drinks themselves appear pretty average for the area, but customizations can add up. For instance, toppings are between $0.80 and $1.50 each. It's also an extra $0.80 if you want your milk tea made with fresh milk, soy milk or oat milk, rather than the standard non-dairy creamer. However, their serving of boba was generous, the cup size was pretty tall compared to some other shops and we were impressed at the quality of the drinks. I'll be back!

I finally got to check out Rabbit Rabbit last week and it was SUPER delicious. Tucked out of the way in a not-the-easiest-to-find spot it was worth the hunt as I quickly slurped down my taro milk tea (with requisite boba, of course). I was surprised that they also serve some amazingly delish-looking food there, too! The smells coming from the kitchen were tantalizing, and I definitely perused the menu in hopes of fulfilling future lunch dreams. But back to my bubble tea...it was YUM. Ordering is via touchscreen, so I was able to customize it to my liking, with a little less sugar and ice. Perfection! It was practically finished by the time I got back to my car.

Clean bathroom, has changing table for those with small kids/ babies

Order at the counter, scan QR code at table, or on the monitors- love that they have pictures of the dishes on the monitors They have combo that includes food & drink. Food are brought to your table; the server was super kind. We had our 3 & 6 year old with us. We didn't even ask and they brought us extra bowl and plastic utensils for the kids Food appear to be in small proportion but was plenty enough to fill up. We ordered 2 "main course" (noodle & rice bowl) & 2 "appetizer" (boneless fried pork & fried) and it was enough for our family of 4. Not like stuffed full, but enough. My son love love LOVED the fried pork. It's crisp on outside and moons inside. Drink pictured was ordered as a combo and I added pudding. Generous size and lots of pudding! Udon was creamy and delicious. Fries were crisp in a light way and great flavor the seasoning. Braised pork is cut in fine pieces but very flavorful. They have lots of high chairs stacked up in a corner; there is a clean single room bathroom with changing table. So this place is definitely baby and kid friendly! The lighting is very bright in a way that shines down your face so unless if you have flawless skin it may not be flattering (keep that in mind if you are planning on taking a lot of selfies or first date lol)

Not easily visible or accessible from the main street, tucked in a corner, hidden under awning. Flat decor, muted color. Greeted not by human but order only through only one screen at the front counter. Because folks are trying to navigate through the menu, a backed up line is constant. Surprisingly a good menu of prepared Asian food entrees & appetizers. The tea was light. A simple pour from the spout took 10 minutes. Not that quick for a rabbit. No interaction with staff, no background music, no fun. Whether food or drink, everyone seemed to take it to-go.

    Delicious radish fries
    Chi D.

Totally solid milk tea with good salty crema and delicious radish fries. I'm honestly kind of surprised that the average rating right now is only 3.5 stars. Prices are on par with other milk tea/bubble tea places, but they have drinks that other places don't offer. Their taro milk tea was VERY good and their match was good too. I definitely plan on getting the radish fries again because they were savory and delicious. Service is relatively fast. The online ordering system is kind of annoying and the machine in the story is broken or faulty more times than not, but you can just order from a human being at the store.

    grass jelly cheese smoothie

I think it's very misleading to name something grass JELLY smoothie with milk top and not have the grass JELLY in it. Also, the smoothie was blended really badly, there was this huge ice piece that was just abnormally large.

I tried their original location in Seattle and really love their buckwheat tea, so I wanted to give this place a try since it's closer. We came right when they open and they were pretty busy with online orders. They have seatings but it seem to be geared toward online take outs. This place seem to have food options as well but we just opted for the drinks this time I got the buckwheat tea and the golden yingxuan oolong tea both at 30% sweetness. Both drinks was delicious. The buckwheat was the same as I remember it and the oolong has this fruity flavor that was refreshing. Price was on point and I definitely would come back here

Very delicious braised pork belly rice! That's a must try! My kids love this boba place because not only the boba drinks are good, the food and snacks are delicious too! Service is always friendly and fast. Ambience is warm and cosy. Music choices are great! And the volume is just right so it's great for a friends meetup where you can chat and hear each other.

Fairly solid options. Popped in and grabbed a hot buckwheat milk tea with 25% sweetness and thought it was a tad too sweet, strong "cookie" flavor, reminiscent of the Japanese bourbon cookies. Partner got the iron Buddha tea with cheese foam and boba, also 25% sweetness. She enjoyed it, said it was good and would come back. Service is fine, not much interaction with folks making drinks, they were there to answer questions but I wouldn't say they were friendly, etc. Shop was fine, smell of fried meat in the air, so not exactly ideal (for me). Little pricey but makes sense for the location.

I loved the tiramisu milk tea! A very pleasant lady answered my question and invited me to ask if I had more. I ordered and paid at a kiosk, and my drink was ready 2 minutes later. I sat inside at a table and some work done. I like the colors of the place as well as the in-fashion tables, chairs and stools. I didn't get any food this time, but they offer a variety of delicious sounding dishes. I'll be back to try the braised pork dry noodle. A little cold inside. Next time I will bring a sweater.

Located in a small business strip in Issaquah across from the Gilman Village, parking is easy to find in the lot, but it can be limited with the space and other businesses around. Inside, the shop is very cute, with pastel decore, velvet seats and tables, and plenty of places for photo ops. I ordered the ube matcha latte and the seasonal pandan donut, which were both good. I love ube, so was glad to know that they make their own ube flavoring here, which was the best part of the drink. I also liked the pandan donut, but it was very sweet and rich. The menu offers a lot to choose from, with different drinks and treats, including those you can see in the case, such as the ube cookie, ube basque cheesecake, etc. Glad to know Bobae has another spot on the Eastside, making it easy for me to get to.

I enjoy this location has free parking and seating inside but feel this location could be more welcoming in many ways. I was the third customer and it wasn't busy yet (said by an employee to another employee who was late), but the employee rushed me talking extremely fast and in a let's get this over with tone. But the two behind me were regulars and got a very relaxed tone, slower pace convo, and smiles. She remembered their names which is cool but she could've smiled at me like she did to them and not rush me? Just a little unwelcoming to those who are not regulars tbh. Also if there is seating inside why are there no trash cans around? I had to throw my donut wrapper and napkin trash in the restroom since all trashes were behind the counter and again the employees were caring for the regulars. The regulars behind me also were given napkins with their donuts and I was not so after I heard the male employee offer napkins to them I went up and asked for one since he never gave me one or asked if I wanted one...Just felt like my business did not matter compared to the regulars which is disappointing being honest. Maybe they should keep napkins and a trash readily available for customers in the lobby since they do have seating inside which would make sense and is the norm?... My Goma Goma drink with oat milk and standard sweetness was delightful and finally got my hands the famous donuts! I tried a matcha donut and honestly probably one of the best donuts I've ever had. The dough is so soft, fluffy, perfectly sweet with plenty of matcha filling as they don't skimp! The donuts are big! Soooo delicious. I love Bobae but this location isn't my go to.

I walked up to the counter where two young guys were working and politely asked if we could get a different slice, since everyone else was already seated and eating. Instead of acknowledging me, they immediately started speaking Chinese to each other without even a simple "one moment" or any indication they were discussing the issue, so I eventually just walked back to our table. About five minutes later, after they had apparently consulted with a woman in the back, one of the guys finally came over and told us they would not exchange the slice because my husband had already tried it. We were all just sitting there, honestly dumbfounded. A basic level of customer service would have been to apologize and swap one slice of cake, especially when you have a whole group there to celebrate. My friend was a big fan of boba tea, and I missed Taiwanese street food badly, so we just decided to try out this place. We showed up right after they opened their door. I am a low tech person, but I found their ordering kiosk was easy to use. We ordered two meals, Taiwanese sausage bento and Beef noodle soup, that came with drinks. One interesting we noticed is that each meal selection came with different drink options. When we ordered Taiwanese sausage bento, there's an option to order a drink at a cheaper price, but no old fashioned black tea, so we ordered milk tea. However, when we ordered beef noodle soup, there's no milk tea option but old fashioned black tea. We thought all the add-on drink options were the same, but they weren't. We then got milk tea and black tea from the add on options since it's much cheaper. We also ordered blood rice cake and the braised combo. There were a few tables in the store. When we were there, not too many people were there, so we just picked up a table. The food came very quickly. During the lunch time, around noon to 1 pm, the entire place was packed. After that, most people just came to pick up something and left. The food was very delicious and was authentically Taiwanese food. The blood rice cake was southern Taiwanese style. I wish they also had northern style that would wrapped with peanut powder. The braised combo was very tasty. I guess it was cooked in the sauce for a long time. The beef noodle soup was really good, and they could add picked mustards for free. My friend and I had a lot to chat, so we stayed in the store until they closed. Nobody ever tried to kick us out simply because we had stayed too long. We had a good time there, enjoying the food and the drinks. I am sure that we will come again soon.

The dish lacks some of the bold Taiwanese flair I was hoping for, but it's still a solid meal. Popcorn Chicken (4/4) Freshly made and served piping hot, the popcorn chicken has a nearly perfect batter with a light, tender crust. However, the chicken itself is slightly dry. Traditionally, this dish is served with fried basil and optional chili powder for extra spice, but neither was included. Iron Buddha Milk Tea (5/5) I ordered this with 50% sweetness, and it tasted amazing! It was slightly creamy, with a well-balanced milk-to-tea ratio, a wonderful aroma, and a subtle tea aftertaste. Milk tea can be quite pricey these days, so it was refreshing to find such a delicious one for only $5.25.
