Seattle-Area Boba Shop Review #128 I was excited to see another location of Miss Boba, one of my favorite boba shops south of Seattle, open up in Renton! We booked a trip down over a recent weekend to give this new shop a try. The interior is nice, modern, and warm, and I was happy to see them doing brisk business in the afternoon. Oolong Milk Tea, 50% Sweet, Light Ice w/ Brown Sugar Boba ($6.45 + $1.65) - The drink is exceptionally rich and creamy, almost too much so - it's really filling, probably to an unhealthy caloric degree! The tea is quite fragrant, giving off a deep earthy flavor, which is enhanced by the brown sugar soak from the boba being scooped in. It's a really nice flavor. The brown sugar boba is probably the most expensive boba addon I've ever seen at $1.65, but it's excellent and given in enough quantity to feel worth the additional cost. It has a thick velvety soft layer on the outside due to the soak, which also flavors the boba until minerally and sweet. While the boba compresses easily, it gives plenty of bounce and is a joy to chew on. Next time I visit, I really need to compare the brown sugar boba vs. their normal boba. Milk Tea Rating: 4.5/5 Boba Rating: 5/5 I'm happy to see a Miss Boba location just a bit closer to me. It's still too far away to visit with any regularity, but I'd definitely return any time I'm in Renton. Bathrooms - Single unisex room, requires a key from the counter Note: Miss Boba charges a 50 cent credit card fee for orders under $10. There is no sign about this, but the bobarista verbally discloses the fee upon checkout. It would definitely be preferable to have a sign up by the register as well. Oomfies, at $10.50 for a brown sugar milk tea and then $9.50 for a regular size, I don't care if you're selling me the whole cow that comes with the milk, that is way too expensive for what they're serving. I tried two drinks (brown sugar boba their signature, and a fruit drink) and it's painfully mid. I don't get the hype so I guess it's not for me, but I do have taste buds and they said skip it. The baristas are fast with it if there's no crowd, and there are a few chairs and tables to sit inside with your friends to enjoy your overpriced milk tea ...would recommend going for another chain that's less predatory to your wallet for wanting a sweet treat. Unsure if the price is because they're trying to be a """luxury""" milk tea (please bffr it's not). I wanted to like them but I just can't justify the price because 10$ for a drink is insanity. read more

I've been wanting to try Miss Boba for a long time since some of my favorite foodie influencers rave about it. I'm excited they now have a location in Renton! I tried their Oolong milk tea as that's one of my favorite drinks when done well and I'm pleased to say it was one of the best Oolong milk teas I've had! Inside was very clean which is to be expected since it just opened up. read more

Welcome to Renton! I love boba and Miss Boba ranks highly for in the Seattle (ish) area. They use their high-quality, premium teas and sugar (no syrup!) in their drinks. They also make their taro and ube in house. Today we ordered the fresh fruit green tea with chia seeds (50% sugar) and the miss boba milk tea with boba and grass jelly (30% sugar). Both were delicious. The staff warned me that 30% might not be as low in sweetness as other boba shops since they only use real sugar, not syrup, and I thought it was a good balance for me. Milk teas are made with non dairy creamer too, which is perfect for my lactose intolerance. Their fruit teas obviously also don't have dairy, and while I found 50% a little sweet, my partner thought it was perfect. There's easy free parking behind the shop And there's lots of clean, open seating area as well as a restroom in the shop. There's a tv playing Nickelodeon, so many childhood memories :) read more

I liked the quality of the tapioca pearls - it was chewy, soft and seemed fresh. The Avon cloud was nice and non-dairy with coconut milk. The amount of sweetness was perfect (not too sweet). And the ube fresh milk was enjoyed by my partner as well. Excited to come try other drinks here! read more

My boyfriend has never been to Miss Boba while I have visited their Kent location years ago. When I heard that they were opening up another location, I was glad to hear that they were doing well enough to open up another location. As we entered, we were greeted by probably one of the best looking interiors for a boba shop that I have seen. It has a minimalistic vibe with lots of lighting so you can study, read, or take great pictures. They had Fairly Oddparents playing with no sound but it was nostalgic. There was a family ahead of us who ordered quite a bit but the cashier was patient and ensured to check to see if he got their order correct. He told us to hold on a moment as he labels the cups before taking our order. We got a large brown sugar cream boba brulee, a large matcha brown sugar boba and a large black milk tea. It did take some time to get our drinks, but again, there was a large order ahead of us. It was neat to see them use a small blowtorch for the cream brulee drinks though! I also saw they whisk their matcha was cool too. The drinks were perfectly made when we did receive them, it reminded me of how good it was when I first tried them. Even my boyfriend was very impressed. We look forward to coming back whenever we're in the area! read more

Pleasantly surprised by the strong tea flavor, many boba places around here miss that mark. I got the Miss Boba Milk tea which comes with boba and grass jelly with a base of oolong milk tea(?). The worker claimed their drinks aren't very sweet to begin with so I got 50% sweet and normal ice. I still prefer my drinks less sweet, so I think 30% will be perfect for future drinks. I like that the grass jelly was muddled up which makes it easier to sip through the straw compared to some places where it just floats at the tops of your drink. Passion green fruit tea was refreshing, tea forward, with a perfect balance of tart from the passion fruit. Cure interior and lighting. Ample parking. Unfortunately prices seem to be on the steeper side for boba, but at least the product wasn't disappointing read more

I actually came here on the first day of this location's soft opening weekend just two days before its actual grand opening on July 12 but ended up getting here around 5:30pm with just half an hour before closing so there's that! I used the parking lot shared by Fred Meyer and Feast Buffet though there could be other places for parking around that same area. It's a newer location, and the interior has tons of lights covered by small sections of walls along with a logo of the place on the right-hand side of the front. There's several tables along with some window seating to hang out at, though they weren't filled up probably because it was almost closing time. Staff continuously greeted everyone that came through their doors, and did so in unison too, so that was fun knowing they were enthusiastic about the opening too! I didn't want anything heavy in particular so I grabbed their creme strawberry green tea at regular sweetness and ice levels. I was advised by staff to stir this one thoroughly before drinking, and it was pretty good overall! Creme isn't overly heavy and green tea taste is strong like their other location down in Kent. As of editing this review, the grand opening should already have happened, and I'm happy to have another boba place that's a shorter drive away! read more

I had a wonderful experience here! The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable about the menu. Their gourmet and unique tea drinks are absolutely delicious. I ordered the Brown Sugar Crème Brûlée and the Green Tea Milk Tea, and both were flavorful, refreshing, and beautifully made. The shop itself is beautifully designed with a cozy, modern atmosphere. It's the perfect place to relax, catch up with friends, or simply enjoy a great cup of bubble tea. I highly recommend stopping by if you're looking for high-quality drinks and excellent service! read more

Overrated and disappointing. Several TVs going at once. Very noisy. Seemed like they were still trying to figure out what they were doing. I was given a "raffle ticket" but they had no idea what the prize would be. The drink was ok. I was told that taro is NOT purple so don't expect a purple drink. That was fine, but the flavor was meh. It was a hot summer day and I was looking for a chilled drink. Not for me. read more

Friendly service & delicious as always! The layout of the new Renton location is similar to the Kent location but a little more space and modernized. I love the paper cups here too- they are cute & creates less plastic waste! Definitely check them out. There are no artificial flavors here & the price is self explanatory once you taste the quality of the drinks compared to other cheaper/lower quality boba places. Miss Boba is top notch! read more

The Best Boba place in the Northwest. I have been to both locations and by far they are the best. The service is friendly. They remember my order. The locations are always very clean. I love the Vietnamese fresh coffee and my wife gets the black tea latte. read more

Ordered the strawberry creme smoothie... unfortunately there was no creme in there... and it came in a weird paper cup. Not as advertised on the menu. I would come back to try another drink again. Maybe they were having an off day? read more

I am a loyal customer to Miss Boba Authentic Tea shop for many years. I was so excited and thrilled that they had open one in Renton. It's more convenient location for me. My drink is simple, I order the black tea with honey and lemon over ice. What makes me happy is that they have something for me to drink that's is on the menu, as for my family and friends, they can enjoy the shops other special drinks. I don't feel left out. I've also had their guava drinks in the past, which are delicious. Every time I go to visit, the owners and the staff are always smiling and friendly. They are very respectful and welcoming. The shop is always clean and decorated so adorably cute. I follow Miss Boba on Instagram. What I love about their Instagram, is that their advertisements are eye catching, and they make it fun. I see a lot of collaborations that they support with other businesses, which is cool, and the shop has a lot of fun contests throughout the year. read more

The tea was good but the boba was too soft for my liking. The first time I thought maybe it was just a bad batch, but I went back a second time and it was the same. I probably won't be going there again - bad boba ruins the whole drink for me. read more

very nice service but my fruit tea had barely 3 oz of drink and the rest was ice. the boba was also overcooked and mushy. good taste, but disappointed with the $10 price for so little drink. place was cute, but i would not come again for the bubble tea. read more
