I'm so happy Bobae is in Issaquah. It's one of my favorite Boba shops and I frequent it 2-3 times a month. Their Red, White and Matcha is very popular and I love their Nitro Thai Tea, but what I really come for are their Monthly Creative Drinks. There's 4 different Creative Themed drinks and I try to drink them all. I have never had a bad drink here and I'll always stop by when I'm near Gilman. When I'm hungry, I also pick up a pastry as well. Their mochi croissants are so unique and delicious. I love that Bobae is so close to me. It's a great spot to stop in for a drink when you're in Issaquah.

Bobae is one of our favorite boba shops in the Seattle area, offering high-quality coffee/teas and creative drink options. We especially love and highly recommend the ube cheesecake. The staff was kind and friendly, and the shop was clean, inviting, and beautifully decorated with lots of plants.

Great service, clean space, great drinks!! Stopped after a trail run in Issaquah and got the most delicious bubble tea drinks. I've been on a jasmine tea kick lately and this one of my favorites I've had! I got the Jasmine Silver Tip Milk Tea with 25% sweetness and light ice and added boba. So good. They were also so nice and explained all of the drinks and what their favorites were. Will definitely be back anytime I'm passing through the area!

Friendly milk tea and coffee shop. Decor was cute. Was in the area and my cousins wanted to stop by. I had the coffee with sesame paste at 50% sweet. It was definitely tasty and a treat. I would probably just do 25% sweetness next time as 50% was still quite sweet. Regardless it was good and I would come back again.

    - Bobaejicha iced with boba (hojicha) 4.5/5. Perfect roasted flavor of the tea. A bit sweet, and boba were a bit too soft/soggy for my liking. - Nitro Thai iced tea 3.5/5. - No taro milk tea! Boo! Busy place! Slow service. Small inside, not much seating. Overall would come here again! This is a solid place!

All the staff here was super friendly and informative on their menu as I had a few questions as this is a unique coffee and bubble tea shop! I also kept an eye on their social media to see when they would have their popular donuts. Luckily, our cashier immediately pointed out that we came on a good day as they had those donuts and each one looked amazing that day. I got two of their limited time specials which was a Orange Creamsicle and Lavender orange creamsicle donut as well as a strawberry kimono flat croissant. My boyfriend got the house-made lavender latte. Everything was super delicious and just be aware that the donuts are really sweet! Our drinks were made to perfection accommodating our specifications. Despite the small location, they had quite a bit of chairs and tables inside. I saw lots of people taking a seat while waiting for their order, having a casual chat with a friend or studying. The store was well organized and clean too! I am definitely looking forward to seeing more of their specials and would love to come back!

Been searching for a good boba spot and this is exactly what I've been craving. Lots of creative drinks, aesthetic, and super friendly staff. Tons of caffeine free options. I got the love potion which has strawberries and hibiscus and it was refreshing and flavorful. Super pretty as well

My friend and I were excited that Bobae finally opened up in Issaquah (where the old Share Tea was)! I remember when the original Bobae in Woodinville had a huge write-up in the Seattle Times and driving all the way out there just to try their nitro boba. They have since expanded to Kirkland and now Issaquah- which saves me 40 minutes of driving! Bobae is a local boba business with a cute pig logo. They serve premium quality drinks and boba (for a premium price). In the past, I've tried both their nitro BO and BAE drinks (one is traditional oolong and one is Earl grey, but I don't remember which is which). Both were great and the texture of the tapioca pearls is always on point! I love that they always have a seasonal menu too (this past summer they had a mango series and it looks like this past month they had a peach series- can't wait to see what's next)! This past visit, I tried the GOMA GOMA (+$8) with a shot of hojicha (+$1) as suggested by the bobarista at 50% sweetness with light ice. GOMA GOMA is basically their black sesame latte without espresso. I didn't get pearls as toppings are another $1, and $10 already seemed high for a drink. The drink was delicious and reminded me of Coffeeholic's black sesame latte, but without the coffee. I think I could've saved money and gone with just the Black Sesame Latte as the black sesame was strong and covered up most of the tea taste anyway. My friend ordered the BOBAEJICHA (+$6.50) with pearls (+$1) which was basically hojicha tea over milk. She enjoyed the smoothness of her drink. I would consider getting this drink next time. Service is excellent and the bobarista makes your drink to order. Atmosphere is modern and casual. They sell loose leaf tea and apparel at the side of the store. There is plenty of indoor seating. Bobae is a solid place to grab drinks with friends. My only complaint is that prices can be on the higher side, depending on what you order. Overall: 4/5 for drinks, 4/5 for service, 4/5 for atmosphere.

15$ total for drinks not filled all the way up
    Piko L.

Prices are insane. 15$ for two drinks, and it wasn't filled up all the way because (in tiny print) if you select "less ice" they say they won't fill it up! It literally says that on the menu! I've never seen a place do that before. I understand as a business if you gotta pinch pennies, but don't be so obvious about it. They also don't put prices on the dessert case, so a palm-sized cookie being $5 is a huge rip. The cashier couldn't hear me though all the loud talking of another cashier taking a phone order, but she explained their creative menu is monthly, and the rest of the shop was quiet and empty 30 min before closing. I will not be back because this is atrocious cash grabby behavior from a chain. I should've just left without buying anything :)

I came here after lunch since I was nearby. I decided to get the goma goma this time with a shot of hojicha per staff recommendation. Omg!! This was the best drink I've ever had! It has a strong taste of black sesame milk and hochija together. Best combo ever! This will be my new go-to order from now on! I swear the workers there are so creative with drink ideas. I also decided to buy their brown sugar boba donuts since they had some while I was there. Oh my goodness it was so good!! The boba were chewy inside and the cream filling was spot on. Tasted like you're drinking an actual brown sugar boba. I am so obsessed with this donut now! I can't wait to go back to try their new drink creations and their pastries too!

I saw this when I passed by during their grand opening. The line was long, so I decided to wait till today. No line, few customers in and out. Very quiet. Clean and chic place. Not the typical boba place like happy lemon, coco or sharetea. Btw the place used to share tea boba. Plenty of private shared parking area with other retailers. I ordered Bobaejicha hojicha, Goma Goma black sesame and Bae Kok Thai. The taste was pretty good. Not creamy enough for me. They still use manual stickers for your orders. The cups are regular ice drink kinda cups with cap, not the usual sealed boba cups. And they are a bit more expensive than other my usual boba place. But they have my fav flavors: black sesame and hojicha.

So happy Bobae is in Issaquah!! Tried the original milk tea with boba. The tea and boba are really fresh and flavorful. Can't wait to come back for donuts (only once a month with pre-orders one week in advance). The seating is cute in here. Lots of pink! Free parking. Right next to the East Lake Sammamish Trail so we went for a nice walk after. I'll be back!

Fortunato chocolate uses cacao from the Marañón river canyon of Peru. Brian Horsley & Dan Pearson (owners along with other family members) discovered cacao from this region with a large percentage of white cacao beans. Genetic testing revealed it to be a unique variety of Nacional cacao long thought extinct & related to the Nacional cacao of Ecuador. It's not the rarest cacao in the world, but it is remarkable. Fortunato send the cacao to Switzerland and has Felchlin make chocolate from it for Fortunato. The chocolate has an exceptionally smooth texture & a thick & luxuriously creamy mouthfeel. Flavors are primarily floral, with a strong hint of slightly citrusy fruits & caramel. There's also an underlying current of earthy & nutty flavors hinting at coffee. But the floral notes sing here so much that you would swear (too much) vanilla is added. None is added. The overall effect is a rich, barely bitter, & profoundly dark chocolate that brings different flavor notes almost every time you taste it. This palate & soul-satisfying chocolate keeps you coming back for more. And then they make confections--many, many, many of them--here at this small commercial kitchen and sell them. Worth a visit.

My friend and I came here for a Saturday lunch based on her recommendation. We arrived at noon and surprisingly were the only customers dining in. They have a large main dining area, a seemingly private section, large bar area and a nice patio. About half of the patio is completely shaded and the tables along the balcony had umbrellas. I'm not sure if lunchtime on Saturdays are usually slow for them, but we ended up having the whole patio to ourselves for the entire time. The menu has a good selection of meat and vegetarian options. They also have Tandoori plates which sound like individual meals, but the two of us opted for a couple dishes to share. Once we ordered, our waitress brought out a complimentary appetizer of papadum & mango chutney which was a delicious starter. The papadum was so crispy, like a very thin cracker. We broke it into pieces and dipped it in the chutney which was chunky and sweet with a spiced kick. A few minutes later, our food arrived! + COCONUT CHICKEN CURRY ($19): Meaty pieces of chicken simmered in a coconut milk and tomato-based sauce. The sauce was creamy, but a little sweeter than expected. Not that this was a bad thing, but the curry flavor needed more oomph. Regardless, I still mopped it up with some naan. While the chicken was nice and tender, that's really all that was in the curry. I found two slivers of zucchini, but that was it; I would have liked to see more vegetables included. + DAAL MAKHANI ($17): Whole black lentils and red kidney beans slow-cooked in a signature sauce with spices and butter. I didn't know what to expect of the dish, but it was substantial, rich and filling. I wouldn't consider it super bold in flavor, but it must have had a variety of herbs to give it its green color. + GARLIC NAAN ($5): This was delicious, super garlicky and brushed with butter! It was light and had a crispy bottom. I appreciated how it wasn't too thick nor doughy. + MANGO LASSI ($6): So refreshing and the perfect consistency. It had a bright ripe mango flavor and wasn't too sweet. About halfway into our lunch, a gentleman (who we believe is the owner) stopped by and asked how everything was. He was so personable and I could really sense the passion and dedication he puts into the restaurant. He brought us an extra bowl of rice during lunch and one more for us to take home with our leftovers. This was so generous of him! Our server was also super kind and checked on us a couple times. You can tell that customer service is one of their top priorities. I would definitely return again to try their biryani and tandoori plates. We ordered the two dishes above at a 1 on the spice scale, but next time, I would opt for at least a 2 for a little heat. 4.25 stars.
