Prettttty sure ice cream sales are increasing during this time. While in Issaquah on a hot day, I of course needed ice cream. Therefore, I decided to check out Ben & Jerry's in the highlands. To be honest with you, I was never a consumer of their pints even though that's what you did in college at 2am from the student store that was conveniently close to your dorm. So I was not familiar with the flavors, though I've heard of them. It's pretty cool that Ben & Jerry's has scoop shops where you can try the different flavors that they sell in their pints, which seemed like a great introduction for me. Although they do not provide samples right now during COVID-19, the friendly employee was knowledgeable about the different flavors. I decided on the Tonight Dough and the Salted Caramel Blondie, being a chocolate and blondie fan. I also saw that they had dipped chocolate waffles cones so fuck yeah, I got my scoops in the chocolate-dipped waffle cone. The ice cream was good. It was definitely sweeeeeet. The Tonight Dough itself is a flavor that was very sweet with a chocolate and caramel ice cream base with a chocolate swirl, cookie dough pieces and peanut butter cookie dough. Holy moly, this flavor is one you'll want to eat on its own. Same with the salted caramel blondie. I don't know what it is about blondies, but they're one of my favorite desserts, so was glad to taste chunks of the blondie throughout the sweet cream base and caramel swirls. It was definitely toned down in comparison to the Tonight Dough, but think that because of how elaborate both of these flavors were, they would be best on their own. The chocolate-dipped waffle cone was awesome. They didn't just dip this cone, they dipped it and left it in the chocolate sauce for a bit because the chocolate was thiccckkk. No complaints. Located in the Issaquah highlands, there's a parking lot on the backside of the shop that's easily accessible. There was also some patio seating out on the front, as there's no dine-in at this time. Anytime I'm in the highlands area of Issaquah and need some ice cream, I know where to go. Just a single scoop next time! In a chocolate-dipped waffle cone! read more

This spot is cute, and has lots of seating, but the ice cream is subpar. The ice cream is overly sweet but it is pretty creamy. My go to is the cherry garcia, but the phish food is great as well. The people working here are usually nice, but sometimes off task or on their phones. Overall this place is a below average ice cream parlor but good for groups. read more

Great location for ice cream!! We've been to other B&J and usually they are too small, but this one is big enough to accommodate everyone (indoors and outdoors) The staff is patient and friendly. They keep it very clean and I love the decoration in their walls, it reminds me to the B&J original factory in Waterbury. In their display they show 2 sides: small and large, but they have a smaller size for kids. Less calories same flavors ;) Wanna try something yummy? First time at a Ben & Jerry's, I usually look for Italian gelato when I crave ice cream, but we were in the area for unforeseen reasons and the kids wanted ice cream, and this was the closest location. Ordered a custom birthday cake 3 weeks in advance from the store Mgr, Ryan. Did not give us a copy of the receipt, just to show up to get it. Luckily I took a picture of the receipt because when we called the morning of to confirm, they claimed no record of it. Sent us to DQ and Baskin Robins, but in the end Safeway delivered! I love this Issaquah B&J location and how you support the local community. The service in this particular location is always friendly and outgoing. Currently, I'm loving the Caramel Almond Brittle, which tastes so creamy and delicious you wouldn't think it is vegan. If only it were also free of calories. ;) On a recent visit in early October, I swung by on a sunny day for a waffle cone and two scoops. I was surprised that the staff member put a spoon into my ice cream. She said that she couldn't reuse it and confirmed it was plastic. What a bummer... I ordered a cone to avoid creating any landfill-bound waste. I'd love it if this location could return to the compostable spoons OR better yet, only give out spoons as requested for those customers ordering a cone. :) read more

Came in last night with my husband at 5 to close and the two teens working were really nice and fast. Love this ice cream but have only been to a shop a couple times. I love the flavors. Was a little disappointed that all the flavors in the shop are the exact plain janes sold in the grocery store with just one that was different. Would love to see more of the original flavors sold in the shop. Got a scoop of the bourbon brown butter which is a new flavor and the only new one they had there. It had a bit of freezer burn but tasted all right. It's bourbon brown butter ice cream with chocolate chips and more bourbon brown butter in a swirl, but didn't see/taste the swirl. My husband got a scoop of chocolate chip dough which was right on the money. They were about 25% full with kids and parents and some ladies on a date. The place is clean. The only improvement I would suggest is move the tables a bit as we had to ask other customers ahead of us looking at ice cream to move aside so we could walk over to the cash register. They also sell Jones soda but only had two flavors left and the refrigerated case was 95% empty. Free parking in the garage next door and across the street as well as in the parking lot. read more

I love Ben & Jerry's. No question about my loyalty to this ice cream brand. As such, I was thrilled to hear that this scoop shop was being built so close to my parents so I could drop in when I visited. However, I stopped by a few months after it opened and soon realized I would rather buy a pint at the grocery store. Unlike a few smaller, non-commercial ice cream/gelato shops and other B&J I've been to, the store atmosphere doesn't draw you to stay and enjoy your sweet treat. The decor is cold on top of the cold ice cream. The only aspect of the interior that adds character is the well known black and white spotted cows on the grassy knoll painted on the walls. Other B&J had a warmer feel like the location in Kirkland, WA where it's a little more intimate and the walls are painted bright colors. This shop is more like a place where you pick up and take out. Also, since I only favor a few flavors that are available at the grocery store, there doesn't seem anything special about getting a scoop here. However, if you're looking for only a scoop, maybe a milkshake, or ice cream with toppings, this place offers those options just like any other Ben & Jerry's scoop shop. No complaints about the ice cream, but I'll stick to my grocery store pints unless I really want Chocolate Therapy (only available in scoop shops). read more

And the ice cream selection and the flavors and even the price was great! But the service will not have me coming back. The girl servicing us was not friendly and didn't seem to want to be there. She was not patient while we said we needed a moment to look at the menu and when she handed our ice cream to us she slammed it on the glass, also my two scoops compared to my fiancé's two scoops were totally inconsistent in size. When we moved on to paying even the lady ringing us up didn't crack a smile and when we sat down to eat our ice cream we heard laughing behind the counter and it was them playing with a co workers hair. Which is super unappealing in a food prep area. The professionalism needs to be revised here. read more

Family date night brought us here last night. Well, it's hard to go wrong with Ben and Jerry's ice cream so no complaints there! I did want to note that the workers were super friendly and patient with us as we struggled to decide on a flavor. I was in the mood for something chocolaty and the manager suggested "Chocolate Therapy." I was hesitant because it seemed kind of boring (not loaded with chunky yummy things), but I got it anyway. Yummmmm! I'm totally getting it next time I go. Probably with some Chunky Monkey on top. As we were leaving, one of the girls overheard my 4 year old say he was thirsty and gave him a cup of ice water, lid and everything. Definitely a good experience! The only thing keeping me back from giving it five stars is the price tag. read more

I like ice cream, and Ben and Jerry's is about as good as it gets. Given that you'll be getting Ben and Jerry's here I'm not going to go into the details about how tasty it is; if you've had B&J's you know it's good, and if you haven't, well, it's freakin' delicious. Every time I've come into the store, the staff is consistently upbeat and cheerful, and the wait is never too long. Their selection is always good, and they even have some sugar-free flavors for those who don't like the usual over-the-top flavors (good for calorie conscious people who want to join their more indulgent family and friends). I really like that they usually have pints you can't find in grocery stores, too. It was the first place I saw their Greek Froyo for sale (which is awesome, by the way). It's way out of the way for me to go to, but it's something I look forward to every time I drive through Issaquah. read more

The ice cream is quintessential Ben and Jerry's, which of course is delicious. The complaint is with the facility itself. Every time we come here we notice how filthy the tables, windows, and coolers are. Tonight the cashier took our card for payment and her bare hands were COVERED in chocolate ice cream! She then proceeded to put her hands from the register back into the ice cream. Don't plan on popping in for an ice cream cake, because they don't exist in the cake cooler. Overall it's a great place to pick up a prepackaged flavor you can't find in the grocery store. read more

I LOVE ice cream and can walk here in less than 5 minutes! The staff (most look like they are in late teens) are friendly, encourage you to try every flavor and are super patient as you decide between your favorite flavors and the rotating test batches you can only get in shop! Love! Someday 'm coming in to get the $40 bucket they'll fill with ice cream and everything that belongs on top of a good sundae! Lots of options for shakes/sundaes and the ice cream selection was great - as expected. What is silly to me is that there is a counter right behind the register. So an (obnoxious) family of 8 adults or so decided that's where they wanted to stand (read: lean over and block the register) while everyone else in line was waiting for their ice cream. It's not B&J's fault they have customers who are zero aware of their surroundings, but that's not a smart place to put a counter. The shop is already pretty small, and it makes it difficult to keep a flow of customers moving. Also, for a Sunday summer afternoon they only had 2 people working. We went during a slow period, but even so the tables weren't bussed. I'm sure I'll be back because the ice cream is so good - but the layout of the shop and the lack of clean tables will probably make me eat it outside. read more

Yay, there a new Ben and Jerry's and it's actually not that far from Eastgate. Yes, there's been a ton of frozen yogurt shops opened in the past few years, and smaller shops like Molly Moon's have been popping up, and there's even frozen custard now. But darn it, sometimes you want Ben and Jerry's wild flavors, and let's face it, Cold Stone and Baskin-Robbins just won't fit the bill. Where else can you get Americone Dream or Late Night Snack or Fair Goodness on a fresh waffle cone or the classic sugar cone? Let's just say that Ben and Jerry's fits a niche and fills certain cravings and we'll leave it at that. read more

This is a complaint. I ordered ice cream from a DoorDash App and was sent the wrong item. When I called the store the girl who answered said they didn't know so they assumed because they said they didn't have my number but they have called me before when I had ordered from them previously . I asked them to fix it and she said they can't and told me to call DoorDash. I contacted DoorDash and they apologized and sent what I was told was the correct item back over to Ben and Jerry's for the correct item to be sent to us. The guy working tonight (10/27) called from Ben & Jerry and was extremely rude and said I needed to take it up with DoorDash because the item is not something they have and that the website is wrong . He told me that he was going to cancel my order. I told him that I can do nothing about the items that are wrong on the menu and that I still wanted my order but would pick something else. He then said, well what do you want..but he said it with such rudeness. This is a terrible way to speak to a customer. It is not my fault that I ordered something on the menu that the store doesn't have and I shouldn't been spoken to that way. This kid needs to learn how to speak to people.
