There's one young cashier in here who has about a half dozen septum piercings who never says thank you, never smiles, never says hello or goodbye, never says you're welcome, responds to thank you with "yep", and treats customers like they're an annoying burden for her. She would make a great prison guard at Auschwitz- I'm not sure about her as the face of a quaint small town bakery. Next time if she's there I'll probably opt to get pastries and coffee at Hoxdotter Coffee around the corner so I don't feel like I'm being barked at by an angsty teen Stasi.

What a cute ice cream shop!…read more My daughter and I came in after our Santa train ride. It was not busy so we were helped right away. They also have really cute kids items to purchase and we needed a gift for my daughter's friend. Ice cream and gift = two birds, one stone! My daughter and I shared the mango sorbet and it was delightful and refreshing. Probably my fave mango sorbet to date. I also tasted the strawberry, which was also delicious. It was spacious with lots of seating. Staff were friendly. If I lived nearby I would be here all the time.

When I went there in the afternoon, I could see they had sold out of a lot of things but there were just a few options: cookies, some savory breads, a sweet bread loaf. I purchased the cinnamon swirl bread loaf for $7 which is pricier than the grocery store but cheaper than some artisan bakers at the farmer's market. They also offer coffee and tea drinks at a reasonable price, and whole pies and cakes to order (if I remember correctly). When I got home and tried the bread, I was floored with how good it was. The sweetness and firmness of the bread was just perfect to me. The outer crust is a beautiful brown and just thick enough to provide a little texture and flavor. The swirl is done well - there are no big pockets in the bread. The crumb is compact but not dense. It is easy to slice and enjoyable toasted or as is. I ate it alone, with nut butter, with jam. It would be wonderful as french toast. I dream about the bread and wish I lived closer to purchase it once a week. I also got a gingerbread man cookie which was perfectly seasoned and not dry. Note that the customer area in the front is kind of small so this place is mostly for take-out. I'd like to come back and try more things to see how well they do their other baked goods.

My bf saw that they had a platter of cinnamon rolls (containing four or five rolls), and wanted to try it. He told them if he really likes them, he'll be back the next week, and we were back the next week. My bf loved the cinnamon rolls; he loved it so much, he didn't even share, didn't think of saving me a taste, a bite from the four or five cinnamon rolls he ate all himself. And we went back for more, and luckily we got there in time for their last thing of cinnamon rolls. And I decided to try their Jalapeño Bread, which was good. The staff at the stand were really friendly. We decided to take at least a week break from the Issaquah Farmers Market, because we've been overdoing it on the pastries, but I'm sure we'll be back soon, or at least checkout their shop.

I thought this was the better of the two cookies. I could feel its density throughout - there was a ton of weight to each bite. I also really like how the outside was baked hard and not soft, like the Cannoli one The icing was decent but I would've expected more of it. My favorite part about this was the white chocolate chips - which felt incredibly satisfying to bite into and tasted really good Wish the cookie contained more of them Out of the two, this was really the only one that had a crunch The Cannoli cookie disappointed me. First, the filling was really minimal compared to the rest of the cookie. It felt like it was 90% the outer cookie and 10% the cannoli filling on each bite The outside was ok - it was somewhat crumbly but tasted fine - but there was just a lot of it - and since there were no chocolate chips or any other fillings in the meat of the cookie other than just the dough - it got a bit old just getting like 90% dough You really don't taste the filling at all until you get to the edge of the cookie - where it combines well with the chocolate chips At this point, where I could actually taste the filling, I found it to be quite flavorful Unfortunately, I missed out on this taste for the majority of the remaning cookie Overall, I thought these cookies were probably good overall, but not worth the $5 price tag for each and certainly not worth the 600 and 760 calories respectively for each one
