Service is friendly enough. My very first visit was right before closing one day and they were cleaning up and putting up donuts. My assumption was to save for the next day. When I came home with donuts, my man asked me if they gave me a discount since I came before closing and I said no. I didn't even think that they would. My next visit, the old fashioned had a greasy aftertaste and was a little heavy. The rest of the donuts were alright. Nothing great or out of this world for a donut shop. This is a great local donut shop that has a lot of selections if you're looking to get donuts other than somewhere like Top Pot. I'll be honest the outside look of the place didn't make me think they would have good donuts, but I was proven wrong. They're not gourmet but the quality of the dough is nice and I like how they have lots of different varieties to choose from, not only flavor but type (cake, regular glazed, bear claw etc). The service is super quick, you tell the ladies that work there what you want (dozen or half dozen) and they'll pick them fast. If you don't know what you want they also recommend donuts for you too. Inside is just a quick grab and go style place where you pay at the register. Parking is always easy since there's a dedicated lot in front. Highly recommend! I tried the buttermilk bar, which featured dough that was moist and fluffy it was almost like biting into a juicy buttermilk bar. I also tried the apple fritter which was pretty good however I prefer them more dense and with more glaze. Westernco Donut is a fantastic, locally owned option for a quick, cheap bite. A donut here will drop you about 2 bucks, but the donut holes are literally 25 cents (didn't try them though). They have a deceptively large parking lot and for a donut shop, they're open rather late until 4PM, which is great for the non-morning folks like me. The donuts range a bit in quality from AMAZING FIVE STARS to a bit sub par. It is tough to be consistent when you have that many items, but here were my takeaways: - Apple Fritter (4.75/5): Amazing, maybe the best apple fritter I've ever had. - Glazed Cake Donut (4.5/5): I hate cake donuts, and I really liked this one; somehow they managed to get this super fluffy too. - Bear Claw (4/5): Solid bear claw, the apple filling is great. - Glazed Twist (2.75/5): Better than the regular glazed, but a little dry. - Glazed Raised (1.5/5): The actual dough tasted a little odd, kinda sour almost? - Glazed Cruller (2/5): Definitely not fried long enough and was raw in the middle. There was a huge spread of pastries and donuts right by the entrance that lured me in The staff were two old couple and I loved the way they served their customers. They were very warm and welcoming. Very friendly and kind staff. Finally stopped by to try a donut as I was in the area. There's a big counter inside filled with the donuts they have available, which was a lot! French Cruller: This was a great donut, nice crisp on the outside with the glaze and super soft and moist on the inside. It was not too sweet at all which is amazing. Overall, it was a good amount of donut, just enough, but not too much that I feel like it was a lot. I called them up for a dozen donuts and it was ready and packed with some extra donut holes, donuts added. An overdue review, but there's no other basic donut shop within the immediate area and this place does it's job in fulfilling the craving. Having been here on multiple occasions over the years, the quality or variety hasn't dropped off, although ownership has probably changed here and there, and prices have steadily climbed (like everything else in life). I'll argue that they do pastries way better than donuts. The turnovers and warm savory ones are the best IMO. Comparing versus other basic donut shops, sometimes the glaze or chocolate just ends up being too sweet, to the borderline point where it's not enjoyable anymore. Maybe I'm an old man and body just hates it now? Either way they have a good variety to tempt any person to come back and try more. read more

I had to come here 3 times before I was able to write this review and for the effort I did, I'm not sure it's worth the hype hahaha. I was looking at all the yelp pic and saw that their donut holes was the super popular here and literally, the first 2 times I came here, they were out... I also wanted to try their maple bacon bar which I learned later you have to ask for it as it's not on display. The donut holes: pretty standard, unless I'm missing something it wasn't anything spectacular. The buttermilk bar was probably one of the better ones I had. It was literally a bar of butter haha, super buttery, crispy, dense, flavorful. The maple bacon bar was pretty unique. They grab one of the maple bar in display and went into the back and put bacon on hahah. All the other donuts was pretty standard in my opinion. Im more intrigue about their danish and pastry. I got one of their cream cheese/strawberry danish and it was pretty good and their savory pastries look really good too. I might come back to try those pastries if I'm in the area. read more

I love this place. It's a friendly little mom & pop shop offering good, classic, simple donuts and some savory croissants/kolache-type pastries at an excellent value. I came to Westernco Donut, as I've passed by it several times before, telling myself I'm gonna check it out one of these days. Located near Crossroads Mall, it's located in an older business shopping center on the corner, with its yellow sign, leading you to the way! I visited in the early afternoon and was surprised by how much inventory was left. For only two bucks you can get a dozen donut holes! Say whaaaatttt! I ordered a variety of the dozen donut holes to share and also got a chocolate cake donut, which is my vice. The donut holes were solid, and although the friendly owner told me that her favorite was the powdered one, I have to say, the chocolate cake was mine. I guess it isn't surprising that I also was a fan of the chocolate cake donut. Yet, I'm usually a cake versus fried donut fan; and at Westernco, they have a pretty darn good one here. Not the best, but you can't beat the price. Affordable donuts in the Crossroads area for the win! I think the best bet are the chocolate cake donut holes. Wanted to bring donuts to a birthday party, so came here to grab some donut holes. I bought 3 dozen of the donut holes with variety of flavors, including glazed, powdered sugar, crunch, and sprinkled. I thought it tasted like your average donut holes, but my nephew loved them. Ordered online a couple days in advance before picking up my order and ended up coming about 40 minutes earlier than expected. They had my order list on a sheet and paper and started preparing my order when I said I ordered ahead, which was nice. The total came out to a dollar more than what was estimated on the website but the lady said that the website has been inaccurate for a long time and to not use it for cost estimates. The service was really quick and given it was six in the morning, it was cool to see a short line of customers getting what seemed to be their regular fix of donuts and coffee. The donut holes are amazing. Glazed, soft, and melt to the touch. Having them fresh especially on a foggy, chilly morning is so soothing. The bear claws' apple mix was a bit too sweet for me. The ham and cheese croissant was also too salty and I needed water breaks between each bite. I think both fillings are for demographics that like that extra flavor, but for those that like a modest sweet taste, the donut holes are just right. read more

Loved everything I tried! I had a maple bar, my friend had a jelly doughnut and we split a raspberry pastry. Doughnuts were fluffy and the pastries were crispy and everything was super fresh! Will definitely be back when I visit the Indian restaurant on the other side of the building. read more

I stopped by here on a whim. Like others I drove by for years without stopping. I will say the apple fritter and bear claw are delicious but a little sweet for my taste. Unfortunately, I did get the lady that I see has been referred to in other posts. She was not friendly and seemed to want me to hurry up and leave. It was 630a on a Friday and no other customers. After I paid I stopped to really look at what other items were in the case and the prices. I felt like I was bothering her by even doing that. I might try it again but experiences like this kind of keep you from wanting to go back to do that. read more

I don't go to donuts shops often but I wanted to go to belated celebrate national donut day. I went on a Saturday around 1:30 pm. As I walked in, I was pleasantly surprised by the empty racks which had been fairly full the last time I visited on a random Thursday around lunch a couple of weeks ago. I ended up getting 3 of each of 3 flavors of donut holes and a ham and cheese croissant. While I do find their ham and cheese croissants small compared to another bakery I went to in California, they have a good ham and cheese ratio and it hit the spot. I don't love donut holes but I like them better than cake donuts. I've never had blueberry donut holes and was pleasantly surprised. It wasn't dry and had a pleasant blueberry taste. The cinnamon sugar ones ended up being my least favorite. They were a bit dry for my taste and while not terrible, I just didn't enjoy them as much as the blueberry ones. I also decided to try the coconut ones which were nice because of the coconut exterior. I'll probably come back again the next time I get that donut craving. read more

This is a low key donut shop near Crossroads mall, that I've driven passed unsuspectingly for years until recently. It's a small store, but the display case is just full of amazing donuts! The staff are friendly, especially the guy (perhaps the owner?), who was patient while I changed my mind a million times! I was actually very surprised with how inexpensive the donuts are, given how huge they are! The donuts themselves are very fresh, and not overly sweet. So many options to choose from, I went with some of the basic options, like classic glazed, and their donut holes (amazing value for money, you have to get them!!). When it comes to donuts, im a snob and I judge them on a few things, #1 their jelly donut and that one was definitely a darn good jelly donut... #2, their maple and chocolate bars and this is the reason it wasn't a 5 star review, both had a light layer of maple topping on the bar, it was so light, it was barely a taste of it and the same with the chocolate... #3, was the cinnamon roll, they was yummy, no complaints on that one ... Overall, the service was on point, most of their donuts were very good donuts, it was the bars that was the let down for me ... A little pricey, 6 donuts was over $12 bucks, but nothing affordable anymore... still for $2 bucks average for a thing of joy, why not just do it and say he'll with the diet, I deserve this today...
