Tried this place for the first time yesterday. It was relatively empty, I went during the afternoon on a weekday, so I was the only one there. I got the tres leches donut as recommended by the person at the counter, and my friend tried the passionfruit creme brûlée. The donuts are a little on the pricier side, $5.99 for both, but tasty. The tres leches donut is pretty hefty, the donut itself is soaked in tres leches milk and there's torched meringue on top with a chocolate coating on the bottom. I would give it a 7/10, flavor was good, but a little too sweet with everything going on with it. I think I actually preferred the passionfruit creme brûlée one my friend got, the crunchy brulee'd sugar on the top perfectly complemented the tangy passionfruit pastry cream filling inside. The decoration of the interior could be fixed a bit to liven the store up and make it more inviting. Looking forward to coming back again to try the other flavors! read more

We tried 4 different flavors: OG Glaze 5/5 This was a close match to Krispy Kreme glaze but it's slightly fluffier--not chewy though (it's magic). Probably my favorite. Raspberry 5/5 This was do delicious--just the right amount of sweetness and slight tart combined with the fluffiness of the donut. Chef's kiss. Creme Brulee with Passionfruit filling 3/5 I wanted to love this but there was a bitter after taste. The passion fruit filling is tasty. I think I might like it more with a cream frosting on top...maybe? Chai 3/5 Could've passed on this one. Underwhelming flavor. Tres Leche 5/5 Great presentation and loved the whipped topping. Backstory is that there use to be a fantastic donut place close to "The Original Bakery" near the Fauntleroy Ferry which is now closed. The donut I loved there was exactly like the Doce OG plain raised donut. Doce has almost the same donut with the vanilla glaze that is so yummy. I love this donut and my wife gets her hair done close by and picks these up for me because she knows how much I love them. The only negative is these are $4.50 each that is more a reflection of the times we live in that's not their fault. read more

I stopped by this shop because I was at the library for an event and it was nearby. I ordered several donuts, a passion fruit brulee, strawberry and cream, rose, and got a dulce de leche! Also they were very nice and gave me a cup of hot water (and offered tea) because it was cold outside. I think while the shop is great and the person working was super friendly, it wasn't my favorite donut place. The donuts were very yeasty and large, and the only one that felt more balanced was the passion fruit one, only because it was filled. That said, the flavors were excellent! If anyone I knew wanted to get donuts from here I'd join them just to try the new flavors for sure! read more

I popped in to Doce for the first time. I got a dark chocolate and pistachio donut and the Earl grey donut. The chocolate pistachio was by far my favorite. It is a very dense donut. But the flavors were excellent. The Earl grey was a bit too sweet. And I got very little Earl grey flavor. But I would like to try more of their donuts in the future. read more

My original review would have been two stars, but I did my normal thing and visited this place three times (as well as visiting the original location) before writing this. I love the idea. I love the story. I wish I could love the donuts. The flavor ideas are superb. The execution is okay, but the base donut is not good. And it's every flavor we tried. Stopped by Doce Donuts for a little treat and was instantly charmed by the small, cute shop and friendly vibe. I tried the passion fruit crème brûlée donut and the strawberry shortcake--both were absolutely delicious. The donuts were incredibly fresh, with a perfect balance of sweetness and creativity in each bite. The brûlée top on the passion fruit donut had that satisfying crunch, and the filling was tangy and smooth. The strawberry shortcake was light, fruity, and full of flavor. I had doce when they first open up in Fremont and thought it was ok. It's been a few years now and they have opened more locations so I figured I give them another try. They are still pretty consistent with how they were back then. This place is located near the library and not in the main area and there's street parking. It's also across from a park so you can enjoy your donuts there. I got the following: Tres leches --- very sweet, the meringue and chocolate dominated the donut. Passion fruit creme brulee -- I like this one because it was a nice contrast to the sweetness of the other donuts. It was tart and the crunch from the creme brulee was nice. BlackBerry and chai cookie crumble - pretty average in my opinion. These donuts must be eaten within a couple of hours or it deteriorates quickly after. Aside from the speciality donuts, I don't think the normal donuts was worth it. Overall, I'm glad I tried again but probably not going to be back for a while read more

The latest donut outlet in Bellevue serves up some innovative flavors. I was really hoping for the key lime pie, but when I got there on a Sunday, they told me that it was the flavor for the previous week. Service was quick and friendly, and there were seats for dining-in, but we elected to take out. Not sure if there was table service, but the tipping options started out at 10%. The donuts use their 24 hour raised brioche dough and that results in a light, fluffy and yet substantial bite. I'm very glad that the donuts are not too sweet. The Mexican Hot Chocolate is covered with a substantial crust of chocolate. Tres Leche was the sweetest of the lot, but still not too sweet. The flaming on the meringue top was more decorative than anything because it did not taste any different or had any textural differences. read more

Great new Bellevue location, really nice interiors! I've been to a different Doce location before and I love their Tres Leches donuts. This time we got the following: 1. Chocolate Pistachio - I'm assuming this was inspired by Dubai chocolate. The flavor is good. I wish they incorporated a crunchy element as well. 2. Churro Dulce de Leche - didn't get to try this but it was well-liked by the person who ate it. 3. Key Lime - this was ok to me. I gave one to someone who loves key lime and they loved it. Best donuts in Bellevue - yes, sir! I had no idea this donut place was in Bellevue until of course my colleagues came walking around with a box of donuts, talking about the new donut place not far from the office. So much for that diet. Doce Donut is worth every calorie. I had to see it for myself. My colleagues and I visited Doce Donut, which I learned took over what was Cafe Cesura in the Ashton building. It's a nice space for a donut spot, with plenty of seating and love that they're open until the late afternoon, making this a potential spot for a coffee meeting near the office. The case had a good variety of different donuts, with their specialty ones and seasonal offerings. I wanted to try their seasonal ones since they don't always have them, so took home a key lime pie donut and the chocolate pistachio one. I gave the key lime pie one to my partner who loves key lime pie and he said the donut was delicious with the key lime custard and whipped cream. I liked the chocolate pistachio donut a lot! I love dark chocolate, so it had a dark chocolate coating with a pistachio custard inside, with pieces of pistachio throughout. Great combination! And I liked that the donut wasn't overly sweet or artificial tasting like at other donut shops. You could tell these donuts used the real deal ingredients. Really wanted to try this place so I was excited there was no line and easy! Grabbed the guava and cheese, strawberry matcha and passionfruit creme brûlée. The strawberry glaze was good but the matcha was grainy (not too sweet which was a nice balance). The passionfruit filling was very tart and the creme brûlée top was burnt- so it was super bitter. The best filling and topping was the guava cheese but I found the cheese to be more overpowering than the guava. The donuts themselves were nice and fluffy. Service was good, interior is nice! So excited Doce opened in Bellevue and I happened to be venturing down there this weekend. I was a little skeptical at first because I typically don't like yeast donuts or filled donuts. I placed an order online which was a breeze, just in case they sold out. But there was plenty available when I got there around 11am on a Saturday. The chocolate pistachio was sold out online the day before but they had more and I added that to my order. Got them home to share with the family and was blown away by how soft and delicious they were. They were not overly sweet at all. It was almost more like a bread style - brioche which is delicious. They don't have a storefront sign up yet but there's a sign displayed on the sidewalk where they're located. They are located in downtown Bellevue so finding parking can be difficult. Luckily I was able to find one nearby. I went inside the donut shop and noticed it was bright with a few tables to sit. The friendly worker greeted me and gave some recommendations for me to try. I decided to get a box of four of their best sellers which included tres leches, guava con queso, passion fruit crème brûlée and their new monthly flavor donut, chocolate pistachio. She mentioned that the store rotate flavors on a monthly basis so check online/Ig for their offerings. FYI you can also order online for easy pickup. Upon tasting each donuts, I like the guava con queso and chocolate pistachio the best. The donuts were airy and weren't too sweet, which was perfect! I really love the pistachio flavor and how buttery smooth the filling was. Definitely a great recommendation to try! Each donut is about $6, so it wasn't cheap. Unique flavors and cool to try out. About $6 for a donut so not the cheapest but you get the quality with the higher price. If you're trying to find parking nearby - good luck! There's maybe 4 spots right in front so unless you live or work nearby it's difficult to find parking, at least on a workday when I went in the morning. When your spending $5for a doughnut you expect that your getting good doughnuts that are made in at least semi fresh oil. This place must not change the oil often because the dough wa terrible.
