Stopped in at top pot donuts in Bellevue instead of going to my neighborhood top pot in Issaquah. It is really difficult to find any free parking nearby. Very few off the street parking spots There was a big variety of donuts to chose from. Decided on my usual cinnamon sugar yeast donut since it the least amount of sugar on their donuts. I used to live in Bellevue more than a decade ago, and I remember going here back then so I wanted to go back. I think when I was living there, Top Pot wasn't as popular, although it was just starting to expand rapidly back then. Anyway, it was nice to see the location that I used to frequent and it was bigger than what I remembered. It's pretty large considering I don't think they get a lot of foot traffic in this location. Nonetheless, we got 2 drip coffees and 2 donuts, which came out to a total of $12.66. Everything was fine, but I definitely wouldn't go out of my way to go here again. I thought the coffee and donuts were pretty average. Now that I've experienced some better donuts in Los Angeles, like Randy's Donuts, I wasn't as impressed with these. For the price, I would say that Krispy Kreme is much better. Anyway, not bad, but nothing special and if you're nearby and need of coffee and donuts, this will suffice. read more

The donuts or doughnuts as Top Pot prefers are very very good. Not greasy like most places and they don't leave you feeling terrible with an upset stomach after 30 mins (or is that just me?). Fav flavors: Maple bar, Chocolate bar, Raspberry raised ring, raspberry filled. In that order! The pros: Great quality,tasty, not greasy, good selection of flavors. The cons: THEY CONSTANTLY RUN OUT. This is super annoying. Unless you go at 10 am, chances are they will be sold out of at least 1-2 of the flavors you wanted to order. They typically sell out very quickly and I have no idea why they just don't make more... especially of the more popular flavors... They don't have fun seasonal items like say a Krispy Kreme with specialty items for Valentine's Day, Halloween etc. I think Top Pot has some limited edition ones like with Seahawk colored sprinkles and peppermint around holidays, pumpkin flavor in the fall etc. but nothing like KK with over the top specialty donuts for holidays... Also they are priced much higher than your typical donut shop (but larger and better quality to be fair). They don't have specials before closing i.e 50% discount an hour before closing etc. read more

Best to go in the morning for a larger selection of doughnuts. We went around 12:30p and they were almost sold out so we had slim pickings. Maple bars were not good but the cake doughnuts were actually pretty good. They were a little lighter and less dense than other cake doughnuts I've tried. So that's a plus. read more

I moved into Washington Square and have tried this place several times. I've never been impressed with the quality or the service. up until today, I would have given them a 3. As an example, the place was empty one morning, I came in for an Americano (over $6...) and then a wait for the Americano. I tried to add some cream and it was empty. Then wait for the cream refill. And again, the place was empty. But today I witnessed a serious lack of caring on the part of the staff. There was an elderly woman in the lobby of our tower, the had a thick accent. She was upset because she had a 5-dollar bill but not a credit card and could not buy a doughnut (they don't take cash). I told her I would be happy to help and went with her to Top Pot. She picked out her doughnut and I tried to pay with my phone. Apparently, they also do not accept that form of payment. I asked them to give her the doughnut and I'll come back with my card. They said no. So I went back to my apartment and got the card and paid for the dear old woman's doughnut. She tried to give me the cash but I let her know I was happy to show her some kindness and buy her a doughnut. To the staff people who wouldn't let an elderly woman go back to her apartment with her doughnut until I came back with a credit card to pay the three-something dollars: your pugnacious cupidity is insufferable. read more

All of their flavors are worth trying, but their maple bars are always a go to for me, as well as their raspberry raised rings! I signed up to Yelp just to voice my frustrations. I love the donuts that's not the problem....but for a donut shop shouldn't you have donuts??? We tried Saturday to get a donut...there was none and was told...oh come back in 3 hours (really, bad planning). Tried the next day on Sunday... they had a plate of 3 donuts left. Was told...oh we were busy no more donuts...you should have called ahead?? It's not just this weekend we have tried before in the past and I just don't understand how you can't be prepared. It's not like this is a one time thing its constant and after this weekend we are done and never going back. We've been going to this location for 6+ years, and unfortunately, the experience kept getting worse and worse. Many of the flavors are often sold out around 10am on weekends. I mean, seriously? Top Pot is one of the few places open really early in Bellevue, and has some great selection! My friend recommended this place to me, and they offer a variety of donuts and pastries, along with reasonably priced coffee. My friend had the chocolate bar, which is quite large and definitely very chocolately. I got a Bavarian cream filled donut (basically a Boston cream but with more chocolate icing on top than normal) and a raspberry jelly donut. They were both delicious, although the jelly donut had very little filling, but the cream donut was exploding with yummy cream. I definitely would come again if I need quick breakfast food in the early morning. They also have a lot of interior dining space if you want to stay. Heads up: there is no convenient parking nearby. Still four star status. So why write a review? Well, I do not know if they changed the parking. You can still park in that pay lot nearby, but I think they did away with indoor parking because I saw a private parking sign in the Washington Square garage. On the plus side, their donuts still rock. This time I got the raspberry bismark and the apple fritter. I have no qualms about saving the fritter for the morning as I know it is good. As for the bismark, I have got to say it is amazing. It is really a jelly doughnut with a fancier sounding title. There was a good dollop of sweet jelly and it was not overly sweet which is great. You know that you have hit sweet overkill when your teeth start to hurt. No such issue here. Also picked up some gift cards here which are great since they are reloadable and you can choose the denomination you want. Service here is friendly and the interior is still cozy.
