Chicken Wings Hot & Spicy Dry Pot
    David K.

tl;dr - friendly and good service, large seating area, portions are fairly large Pig ear was delicious. I really like how thin slice it is and the flavor is great. The chicken wings in the dry pot were tasty and crispy. I wasn't too impressed with the rest of the stuff in the dry pot. It had some baby oysters mushrooms, green beans and lotus root. The chicken feet was served in a spicy sauce. The flavor was good, but it wasn't what I expected. The shredded potatoes weren't that spicy or flavorful, but they were a good contrast to the other dishes. The Chongqing chicken was crispy, but a little sweeter than I like. They have a bone-in and a boneless version. I recommend the boneless one because the bone in had a lot of small fragments. The tables are quite large which is great for fitting many dishes but it was a bit far when talking to someone across the table. The chairs are also interesting because they are also really wide and deep with a soft bottom cushion but a wooden back. The service was great, staff was friendly. Dishes came out really fast, about 10 minutes after ordering. We came a little before closing and they didn't rush us at all even after they closed.

I decided to order delivery from here since I also wanted a fruit tea bubble tea. I ordered the Country Stir-Fried Pork Belly and the Lychee Peach Jasmine Tea w/ Lychee Jelly. I wanted to try more food and maybe another fruit tea, but I wanted to be good and not overdo it. The Country Stir-Fried Pork Belly was good; had a little kick with all the peppers. I got the fruit tea at 25% sugar, and it was perfect for me; tasty and refreshing. I was happy with my dinner, and want to try more items there.

    - just alright, say no to pig's snout!!! - We came here mostly because I got a coupon for spending more than $88 at Asian food center on their anniversary or some sort. Upon entry, you need to put your name on the wait-list using the little tablet. We waited for maybe 20 minutes before getting seated for dinner. The place was packed, but there was a lot of potential for extra tables.. We ordered mapo tofu 麻婆豆腐, sweet and sour spareribs 糖醋小排, and Sichuan string beans 乾癟四季豆. We also get a free country stir-fried with house smoked pig's snout 農家香香嘴. They also don't give you rice for free, so we had to get a bowl of rice as well. The mapo tofu was not like other places, the sauce is mostly red like chili oil. Not the style I like. The string beans were fine but a little dry for us. The sweet and sour spareribs was really good, but the portion is super small and it's mostly bones. Maybe that's why that fish is $14.99 when others were like $20s. We didn't enjoy it the taste of pig's snout and it was a bit "too strong" for us. We ended up not touching that free dish. Overall the meal here was disappointing, and I think we probably ordered the wrong thing. I'd probably come back here to try their other dishes, but given that it's a bit far from us now, it will take another 5-10 years for that to happen :p.

Great service from the servers and the owner came by to check on us couple times. I love their mobile ordering system. The chairs are so comfortable with memory foam cushion. The food is excellent, piece of home every time I have it. Sichuan dishes are commonly greasy but I thought they did a good job with the amount of oil they have to use to bring out the flavor. The dishes all came out very fast. Cumin Lamb and the House Tofu are our two favorites!!

I've heard lots of good things about this place so I was super excited to try!! We always order the Chongqing spicy chicken and szechuan restaurants -- this place is no different. One comment is that there is not a ton of chicken and the pieces are very small. However, the flavor was so good and spicy/numbing and very crispy! The sweet and sour ribs were also good, but personally I think DTF does it better. They were still very tasty (sweet, sour, meaty) though! I also ordered the sour and spicy potato dish (not pictured), which is one of my favorite. The sourness is very unique but really elevates the dish. The potato is also still crunchy, not soft at all, which makes a super satisfying bite. A minor complaint is that this place expects you to use tablets for ordering. They don't have any regular/paper menus at all (we asked)! The tablet is not the most accessible, especially for folks who are not as familiar with newer technology. It's not a very intuitive UI and you have to press on each individual item to see an image of the item. IMO a super easy fix is to just have paper menus as an alternative -- just to look at! This place was still very yummy and I look forward to coming again.

Tian Fu has been on my to-try radar for a long time, and I'm glad I was finally able to pay this restaurant a visit! And I have to say if you are looking for a solid Sichuan style restaurant in the Factoria area, you are in luck! I've been to Tian Fu a couple of times and even though it may look busy if you decide to go around dinner time (6-7pm), service is usually fast and you should get seated soon, unless it's a especially busy night. The ambiance of the restaurant is lively, there are always going to be a good amount of people dining in. The decorations are fit the atmosphere of a busy Chinese restaurant well with decorative Chinese chairs, tables, and wall decor. Ordering is done through their online ordering system - where you scan a QR code, select the dishes that you want, and pay your bill. The restaurant staff will come up to your table afterwards and confirm your order and ensure that there are no mistakes, which is nice. Service is also relatively fast here too - I usually got my dishes about 10-15 minutes maximum after the confirmation. In terms of the food served here, the flavor is great! I've tried a chunk of dishes here - from Boiled meat, to dry pots, to Sichuan vegetable dishes. Most dishes are seasoned well and have pleasing textures. If you decided to order the dry pots, there also is a subtle wok char flavor profile - it's like a smokey charcoal flavor that gives the dishes a extra tang that I haven't really experienced at other Sichuan restaurants. Now, about the spice level since it is what people want when they come to Sichuan place - most dishes have a decent amount of spice, not too much, and not too little. I personally haven't requested more spice, but I'm sure the wait staff would be happy to oblige. On average you will probably spend at most $60 - 75 for three people (assuming about 1 dish per person), and you will definitely get a decent amount of food given the price. I would say for the Factoria area, this is good since most things are expensive here. I have been to Tian Fu a good amount of times, and would definitely recommend this restaurant!

We frequent Tian Fu. Amazing restaurant very welcoming and best service. Staff and manager(owner I think) are very friendly and professional. Our meals here never missed a beat. Food always served hot and very delicious. Nice dining table this place is very clean consider the numbers of patrons gone through very well maintained. Love the ambiance casual and nice. Can get a little noisy especially when the restaurant is full

Best sichuan restaurant I've been in the states! Elegant seating and comfortable chair. Super friendly and informative service. Food was served as a decent speed - big menu with spicy and non-spicy options. If you are lost the waiters are more than happy to give you recommendations - lavender milk tea: chose reduced sugar amount and liked the flavor. The iced drink helped calm me down while I ate the spicy food - noodles: very appetizing - lamb: my favorite dish! Such a big portion and tender lamb with cumin flavor - roasted duck in hot pot: this pot is huge with lots of transitional hot pot veggies inside (bean sprouts, potato, lotus roots, sea weed etc.) and you can choose spicy level. I ordered it knowing that it's a local specialty and wasn't disappointed. I was impressed by how authentic it was. Also plenty of options for everyone in the party to choose from. Will definitely recommend it to everyone who visits Bellevue!

Probably one of my top Chinese restaurants at the moment. I loved their cucumber and wood ear salad. The cucumber was frosty cold and crunchy. The sauce was soooooo addicting. I was tempted to just drink it at the end. The beef with cilantro was tender and had wonderful seasoning. The mapo tofu was OK but quite salty as their doubanjiang was quite pungent. So be prepared to eat lots of rice. I would pass on the string beans as I felt like they weren't that amazing. Loved the frog legs so much! It's a must order from now on. Such tender little frog legs that have the taste of chicken but the texture of fish. I'm so happy that I finally have a place to get tasty frog legs.

I want to gatekeep this place but it's so legit I can't not share. Everything here was so tasty and the restaurant was booked full by 5:01 PM. You definitely need a reservation but you wouldn't be able to tell by the reviews. My favorites are the salted egg yolk tofu, pork ribs with pumpkin in rice, spicy fried chongqing chicken, any of the leafy greens, gizzard and sour pickled beans, and the boiled fish and tofu. Don't be intimidated by the menu, the staff are very nice and can help you out. Very hilarious seeing some of the negative reviews being about how the food is too spicy lol. 1) this is a Szechuan restaurant 2) there are plenty of dishes that aren't spicy at all.

One of my favorite restaurants in Washington! A must for Tian Fu is the Dry Chili Hot Pot with an addition of the chicken wings. I LOVE the chicken wings and I rave about them to everyone. The chicken wing flats are separated so there's only one bone in the meat for easy eats. The dish is so flavorful with a nice spicy kick (made with the sichuan peppercorns so if you're a huge fan of numbing spice, this dish is for you). The dry hot pot comes with king oyster mushrooms, lotus root, and green beans but you can add more toppings (various vegetables and/or proteins) for an extra charge. We added wood ear mushrooms and a small size of the chicken wings (there is a small or large portion). For a party of 3, a small size portion of chicken wings was more than enough for us. The chicken wings are packed with flavor, juicy, and tender. We also got an order of the Peking Shredded Pork dish, which was flavorful and tasty. For drinks, I got an order of the Organic Sparkling Guava Lemonade with Lychee Jelly. Really loved the drink as I feel like this flavor is quite unique. Service was good and attentive. Great place to take family and friends. Definitely order the wings-- I cannot rave about these chicken wings enough!

One of my favorite chinese restaurants in seattle. This place is almost always packed so don't forget to make reservations. I recommend to have at least 6 people so you can diversify your food to get the best experience. I recommend to get their pork hock soup, Sichuan chicken and spicy tofu fish.

First thing I noticed when I looked at the menu was that the prices are very LA, but before you let that deter you, hear me out: the portion sizes are significantly larger than what you'd get for the same price back home. So in terms of value, you're actually getting a much better deal out here in Redmond. One thing that genuinely caught me off guard; they let me bring my puppy. If you're from LA or the 626, you already know that's basically unheard of. Redmond, Washington is on a whole different level when it comes to being pet friendly, and I loved every second of it. As for the food, it was great overall. The mala wasn't too numbing, which I appreciated, it had just enough kick without overwhelming everything else. The garlic a-choy was perfect, honestly no notes. The braised pork belly was good but I wished it was a touch softer, and I personally felt like my dishes could've used a little more salt or soy sauce, but that's an easy fix and purely personal preference. Would definitely come back next time I'm in the area.

ROYAL KITCHEN @ BELLEVUE (crossroads)…read more Parking is pretty tight here, especially on the weekends when it gets super busy. Luckily, we were able to find a spot right out front, so I'd recommend slowly circling around and keeping an eye out for people leaving. I found this spot through Yelp and had been really craving good Chinese food, so I was super excited to finally try it. My family and I came without a reservation and were seated immediately, even though the restaurant was very busy. This place is definitely known for larger parties, there were lots of families and extended families dining together, which really gave it a classic family-style vibe. You order a bunch of dishes and share a little bit of everything, which I love. The staff were really friendly and greeted us right away with complimentary tea. Fun fact: in the mornings, tea is sometimes an extra charge, but in the evening it's free. We ordered a few dishes, including the honey walnut shrimp (which is my go-to order at any Asian restaurant), salt and pepper squid, house special vermicelli noodles, and Chinese broccoli. The vermicelli was a clear noodle dish loaded with different proteins like BBQ pork, squid, and shrimp. Everything had great flavor, but my absolute favorite was definitely the honey walnut shrimp. It was perfectly crispy and delicious. My only complaint is the portion size for the price, it was about $21 for roughly 10 pieces of shrimp, which felt pretty expensive. Overall, the portions were on the smaller side for what you're paying. Toward the end of the meal, they treated us to a complimentary papaya soup, which was a light, fruit-based dessert soup and a really nice way to finish. Our total came out to about $80, so it's definitely on the pricier side for Chinese food. That said, the food was delicious, the service was great, and if you're in the Bellevue area, I'd still recommend stopping by.

And while we have often gone to the CID In Seattle, for many years and almost exclusively in recent years we have gone here and the previous business at the same location. I highly recommend this place and in my opinion the staff is usually always fantastic and they bring the food fast!! Today the service and food was fantastic and ordered so much it almost didn't fit on a 4 top table. We love leftover dim sum! But at the end of the meal they brought me the completed card with a total at the bottom. Didn't look beyond the total before tip and just gave the nice (very young) hostess my card. A server brought back just the two credit card slips and the price was seemingly $20 more than what was presented to me on the service card!?? I politely asked to see the bill again and then a longhgggh wait...... Then a heavily altered card was brought back showing the new total. I was not happy suddenly and asked why it was altered from the first one etc and a big argument from the server began that I didn't proliferate but she kept on and on and could not explain why all the changes by pen and saying that she was honest etc. insisting we "do the math" over and over Now we may have ordered that much food, but I know for a fact that the bill was clean written without alterations and $20 less than the corrected one. But still she couldn't give me a valid explanation for the changes and new total. In my opinion the high school age hostess made a mistake adding up before presenting the total to me and someone else edited it before running my card. If they had just admitted that I would not have been so disappointed. I don't believe that the staff here are dishonest and understand about mistakes but they did not handle it very diplomatically and it was a scene I didn't want to make. But I know that this was not the total presented to me for payment! Take a pic of your service card before sending the credit card to be run!!! It absolutely ruined our family outing and everyone was quiet in the car ride home. Not cool!!

From the moment you walk in, the cultural atmosphere stands out--many of the patrons are Asian, and on my visit, a few were even dressed in traditional garments, which added a vibrant, lived-in feel to the space. It's the kind of detail you can't manufacture, and it speaks volumes about the restaurant's credibility within the community. The interior itself is fairly average--nothing particularly modern or upscale--but it doesn't detract from the experience. If anything, it keeps the focus where it belongs: on the food. Service was a bit of a mixed bag. There were only two servers handling the floor, and they were clearly stretched thin. Ordering is done digitally, which helps streamline things, but you can still feel the strain during peak times. That said, the food started arriving quickly--our tofu noodle dish came out almost immediately, while the beef dish lagged behind a bit. Presentation leans traditional in a charming way. The plates and chopsticks have that classic, no-frills aesthetic that complements the overall vibe of the restaurant. Now, let's talk about the food. First, a word of caution: spice levels here are no joke. If you're sensitive to heat, you'll want to dial it down. But if you can handle it, the flavors are absolutely worth it--rich, bold, and deeply satisfying. The tofu was exceptionally soft, almost silky, and clearly freshly prepared. The noodles matched that texture perfectly--tender, well-cooked, and comforting. Pricing is another strong point. For the quality and portion sizes, it's very reasonable, making it an easy spot to revisit without hesitation. Overall, Nine Noodles is a great pick if you're looking for authentic flavors, a culturally immersive atmosphere, and solid value. It's not about fancy decor or polished service--it's about good, honest food. I'd definitely come back.

This restaurant is mostly self service; there are two kiosks right in front for ordering and a table full of prefilled drink cups. I think the only upside to this restaurant is the free cups of mango tea, which are slightly sweetened and fruity. I wouldn't say they are very mango forward though. Hot Oil Biang Noodles ($13.99) - The biang biang noodles here aren't very good. They seem to be stretched somewhat, but then I feel like they take shortcuts. Instead of being almost completely stretched via bouncing the noodles on the table, they only stretch it probably half as much as normal, then they cut the dough lengthwise several times - this is why I can see multiple clear corner pieces in the noodle instead of it being relatively straight. They also don't care to make it consistent in thickness. This causes major issues because the thinner parts are soft and mushy while the thicker corners are doughy and slightly undercooked. I don't know how, but the noodles also clump together, so in some bites, I'm eating three strands of mushy noodles right on top of each other. The sauce here isn't much better. It's supposed to be aromatic, blistering hot oil mixed with chili/vinegar and aromatics poured directly on the noodles. The problems here are multifold. Firstly, they don't drain the noodles properly, resulting in an excessive amount of water diluting the sauce. Secondly, they use far too much vinegar, making the sauce overly acidic. The vinegar is by far the dominant flavor in the dish. While the dish seems like it will be spicy due to the red color oil, it's almost completely diluted out by the vinegar and noodle cooking water. The dish is basically not spicy at all due to these factors. (2/5) Spicy Cumin Lamb Biang Noodle Soup ($14.99) - This dish suffers from the same noodle issues as above, but the soup format improves some aspects slightly, but worsens other aspects. Since the soup is hot and the noodles are soaked in the broth, they soften more readily, so the soft portions are even more mushy than the "dry" noodle. The thicker portions are nice and bouncy though. The soup itself is relatively flavorful, slightly gamey, and tastes like it actually is a lamb bone broth, but it doesn't really have depth of flavor. Again, it's not really spicy at all. The lamb on top seems like thinly sliced hot pot lamb, pan fried until very dry. If not for the fact that the lamb is sliced thin, it would be extremely tough. It does have a nice fragrant cumin flavor though. (2/5) Those were the two worst bowls of noodles I've had in a long time. I wasn't particularly impressed with the noodles at the U District location of Xi'an Noodles either, but they were far better than these two steaming piles of excrement. Bathrooms - Two unisex room shared with Snowy Village. One was locked though
