Great location, Great food, Good Vibe. Modern Japanese comfort food made for Bellevue. Fast. Fresh. Reliable. Perfect for lunch breaks, takeout, and group orders.

I been here twice now and they have been solid. The first time I went, I was not impressed at first so I didn't take any pictures but I regret it that Because the food was good. We got the chicken and pork teriyaki combo last time and the meat was tender and juicy and portion was good. This time I decided to try the yakisoba and remove the rice. The portion was gigantic! The dish was good, I did wish the chicken was a little more tender but besides that it was pretty good. The guy there was nice and food came out pretty quickly. It was quiet when I came in but I think the lunch rush was over. Overall, good teriyaki spot.

Decent teriyaki in Eastside! The chicken is tender, but not super flavorful. The teriyaki sauce was good but I probably needed at least twice amount I was given. Pretty affordable though and comes with a side choice of either salad (lettuce with dressing) or steamed vegetables.

Been eating teriyaki and spicy chicken here for years. Quality does vary, but it's always good. Sometimes great, but always good. And they've always been friendly and reasonably priced. The interior could use a refresh. Doesn't look like much has been invested back into the business over the years. Can also get crowded at lunch because it's a favorite of Microsoft employees. But, overall, a solid teriyaki joint.

It's a decent teriyaki place, it's the place to go for some of my friends, they especially like the spicy teriyaki. I like it too, but when I got it a few times I was still a little hungry after. I tried the katsu this time and I liked it, it tasted good and the portion was large enough. I just wish they gave more steamed veggies though.

Chicken was moist and tender, fried rice was also moist - I was there well after the lunch rush and the food tasted like it was made to order, not pre-propped. Cashier was friendly and helpful. I will be back !

I'm not at all troubled by the plethora of teriyaki restaurants in the area. If anything, I welcome any opportunity to get such a quick and easy meal for a low price. And so I walk in here with ten dollars and leave without having spent any more than that. This restaurant is right across the street from Nasai Teriyaki, and I would say the two places are comparable in quality. Neither of them are going to win any awards, but they're good for the purpose that they serve. As usual for places like this, you order at the counter. The menu is displayed above. Wait times are reasonable, and they have a TV. Portion sizes are decent; I figure they want to give you a lot to make you come back. And to be honest, it works on me. Another cool thing about Sapporo Teriyaki is that you can substitute the nutritionally vacuous lettuce for some broccoli and carrots. There are your vitamins and minerals for the day.

From the moment I stepped inside to the decor and service to the taste and quality of food, I was impressed the entire night. Most bbq places are laid back and loud, but this place is refined, sophisticated, and everything you'd want for a date night or celebration. Starting off with service, everyone we spoke with was lovely and inviting. We felt welcomed and our server kept checking on us, but wasn't too invasive, so we were able to catch up. We were greeted with hand towels and 3 options for water. Cutlery and tableware were nicely set up and I'm obsessed with their plates! I was blown away by all of the dishes we ordered but my favorites were definitely the Uni Toast, Wagyu Volcano, and honestly all the meats we ordered to grill. They grill your meats for you, so it is a bit awkward because the person stands there until everything is done, but it's cooked to perfection! Highly recommend for a nice date night or celebration dinner.

We started with a wagyu toast and the meat just melted in your mouth. We also had alaska king crab with A5. Kind of a surf and turf nigiri. The uni toast was a little too much toast but it was a generous amount of uni. The Rubik's cube was a literal cube of meat. They cook it to perfection in front of you. Lots of sauces and sides to try. Everything was very good. It's amazing how different each cut of meat tastes. I loved the silky egg yolk in the volcano. They offer bottle service as well as drinks and their drinks were excellent. Would definitely go back!

Although it was pretty busy inside, we were able to be seated in about 10 minutes, which was great for a last minute decision for Shabu Shabu. I haven't done many Shabu Shabu places, but this one is a bit different since you get a set of vegetables and meat rather than ordering multiple rounds. The quality of the meat and vegetables, in my opinion, was much higher compared to those places where you're able to get multiple rounds of meat or select your own vegetables/sides. The broth (I had kombu) was pretty light, so it wasn't the best. The service was pretty friendly and the only fault to them was they didn't come around to refill our pots with hot water. I enjoyed dinner here and would definitely come back again. The quality of the food, the calm restaurant atmosphere, and the polite staff made it an enjoyable experience.

It's a very cute Japanese restaurant, with very patient staff who answered all our questions. (Thank you for doing that). Tha takoyaki was pretty good but if it memory serves I believe it was over $10. It wasn't too mushy and it was well-flavored. The salad was worth its price. It was very small. The dressing was pretty good, not too overpowering of sesame. The crunchy tuna rice was really good (I really like crunchy rice) but it felt over priced. This could honestly be made at home. The shabu shabu was very impressive. I got the sukiyaki shabu shabu, which I think had the most flavor out of the ones my family got (spicy miso and original). The ponzu and nut sauce that comes with the dish is delicious as always, and the meat was really fun to cook. If you don't know, it is called "Shabu shabu" because you swipe the meat back and forth and by the time u finish talking it's cooked! We got the Americans wagyu, beef, park belly, and pork. Everything was well made, fresh, and beautifully presented (the pork belly had a rose made out of meat!) Overall it was good. It's a fun experience. And hot pot type meals are usually expensive, but nothing quite tops MalaTang.

Chef Takai's omakase leans on the traditional side, which is my preference, and the portions of fish are great. I appreciate he incorporates both familiar fish and also newer or very seasonal fish as well - each time I've visited, I'd say about a third of the courses were different. I also love that non-sushi courses are interspersed throughout the meal, all of which are executed very well. Some standouts from my most recent visit: the matcha tofu (very memorable, amazing texture), hairy crab, and the anago. There was not a single course I did not like though! There is a paid lot right next to the restaurant, which seems like can get packed during rush hour. Waitstaff service was particularly good on my last visit, and Chef Takai was as personable as ever. The ambiance is pretty formal and reserved, and there is both counter and table seating. I'd definitely recommend counter seats if they're available so that you can interact with the chefs, who are all lovely!
