Service is what stood out the most here! I've had Texas BBQ plenty in my life and it was nice to try it again. With that said, it doesn't compare to what I've had. It was still delicious. We tried an assortment of meats. My favorite was the catfish! Pulled pork was my husbands favorite. The Mac and cheese was great. A fan favorite for the kids.
Great brisket. Extremely friendly service. Mushrooms and ribs were a bit too heavy for my liking. Has screens for watching sports and patio seating too
We visited for lunch, with a party of four, and it was a very nice experience. We had reservations and were seated right away in a booth. The waitress arrived and took drink orders, their margaritas are tall and strong. We started with Queso and Chips, then followed with The Picnic. Everything was well prepared and tasty. The Picnic had a good assortment of their BBQ'd meats and sides. The service was good, the waitress stopped by often to check on us. Overall, an exceptional place for BBQ.
Absolutely love this one! Great food, friendly staff-they always knock It out of the park. If you want BBQ, this is where to go on the Eastside!
I not from the area and found Jacks searching and their story was intriguing. Gave it a shot and have to say the food is super on point. I got the brisket and ribs combo with cornbread and chilli as sides. My photo was when I already got into it. The brisket is crazy good the rub reminds me of when your friend in middle school shared some pepper beef jerky did it lit up your day. Ribs were on point too and super surprised by the chilli too. Everything was great and they pour tall boy old fashions and pricing for the quality of everything was beyond reasonable. A+++!
The food was 10/10 today was me and my boyfriends first time there and it was amazing plates are worth the price. The service was great as well I forgot his name he was very helpful. The place was nice and neat and I'd definitely come back again there bbq is the best and you can buy their bbq sauce in the restaurant only 10 dollars.
Great, friendly and fast service. I joined the club and got free hush puppies. Should have stirred the honey butter first as the honey sunk to bottom. Fun music music: Blues, rock, and roll, oldie western tunes. Enjoy
Terrible!!! Spent $84 plus tip $100 on a to go order. 1 vodka soda. They forgot the pulled pork, slaw and seasonal veggie and it took 40 min to get. Didn't try the food just returned it after I got home and drove back.
Three of us stopped in here the other night for some good BBQ. I keep seeing the Jack's BBQ ads on social media so that definitely works! We shared an app of the hush puppies and I admit, they are large and uniform and cooked just right but not a bit sweet which is how I like them (e.g. Briley's BBQ). They were served with tartar sauce so they were going for the savory flavor here. We took the leftovers home and warmed them up and had them with honey and they were perfect. For dinner, I had the 3 rib platter which came with my choice of 2 sides. I chose the yummy chili and then the mustardy potato salad to balance out the flavors. My meal was great with the smoked pork ribs being cooked to perfection and the savory no beans chili being a highlight me me again (see my previous review of Jacks). The potato salad was also a great foil to the heavy smoked meats. My dining companions had the hot wings, sliced beef brisket and pulled pork. Their sides were mac and cheese, garlic mashed potatoes, and gumbo. I tried and liked the gumbo and the mac and cheese. They were very tasty. The pulled pork is to die for. They have this recipe down and have the most tender, moist and perfect pulled pork that I've ever had. It is absolutely delicious and it will be my go-to dish for future visits. You have to try it. We had great service and really enjoyed our dinner. Jack's BBQ really does BBQ right.
Casual place to gather with friends and family, great service, great food. Second time visiting and food was just as good as the first time and so was the service. Under Appetizers: The Fried Picke Jar - deep fried okra, homemade pickles, and jalapeños. So good! The homemade pickles have a nice slight kick (it wasn't the jalapeños). Buttermilk Hushpuppies - great to share among a group of 4 or more. It's delicious, but filling (hence great for sharing). Under BBQ Plates: I've had the Double Trouble on both visits. Choice of any 2 meats and 2 sides. First visit, I asked if I can have the catfish as one of my meat and the manager was kind enough to allow this. Pulled pork as my 2nd meat. The catfish was nicely cooked -- deep fried with southern cornmeal, and the pulled pork was delicious! Like noted on their menu, no bbq sauce needed because the meat is amazingly delicious! Although they do offer original style bbq sauce and smoked jalapeño bbq sauce. I liked the orignal one better but they're both good. For the sides -- collard greens and Texas caviar (Black-eyed pea salad). I haven't had Texas caviar before and I really liked it! It had a refreshing taste. My 2nd visit, I had the catfish (it was that good that I had to have it again) and brisket. The brisket was good, although the pulled pork was tastier. For sides, I had the Texas caviar and their seasonal which was gumbo. The gumbo didn't taste like it had seafood in it, but their version was good with the sausages. Other sides I've tried: - Coleslaw - it wasn't bad, but nothing to rave about. - Potato salad - tasty! Had the right amount of mayo, and seasoned well. - Sweet Corn Pudding - OMG! This was delicious! Just the right amount of creaminess, very flavorful! Homemade Desserts -- both desserts were really good! Peach cobbler & ice cream for two - Wow! Pecan Pie Champion - had this a la mode - Yummy! Cocktails: Smoked Old Fashioned - good old fashioned, not as smoky as expected but good nonetheless. Bruised Cherry Manhattan - didn't try this but my friend said it was good. Our first visit, our tab was automatically rounded up for their "Round Up & Give". It was minimal, but it would've been nice if this wasn't done automatically or at least ask first if we want to round up. Our 2nd visit didn't have this so maybe it was some charity event their doing specifically during our first visit that we were not aware of. Overall, their BBQ style meat is delicious! Best one I've had in the area.

Stopped in for lunch after arriving too late for dinner the previous evening (despite the large "Open" sign being illuminated). As we walked from our hotel, parking wasn't an item we were concerned with, but the private lot seemed adequately large with appropriately-sized parking spaces. The establishment is bright and clean, with a rustic "old roadhouse" sort of vibe and décor. The smells of smoked meats are abundant. Portion size is huge, especially considering the comparatively low prices. I was particularly impressed with the unique items on the menu, such as beef bacon, which we had to try. It was good, and definitely worth trying. It had a "candied" preparation, which was lovely. While the food was overall quite good, it wasn't the "not of this planet" BBQ that I've had in Texas. Staff was very friendly and helpful, and service was extremely prompt.
Ordered 3 sandwiches to go. 3 dumpsters with 1 side with each sandwich. Mustard potato salad, collard greens and beans. They run a "special" dumpster sandwich with one side for 50% off when the Mariners win a game They also have beef ribs on Thursdays. My other half loves beef ribs. Will need to stop by on a Thursday for goodies. Service was very good and courteous. Waited about 20 minutes for our Togo orders

Jacks never never disappoints!!! We went there for a birthday celebration and the food was just awesome l.. like always! The servers were so attentive and friendly. The restaurant has a lot of seating especially for larger groups as well. The steak was tender and juicy. Cooked to perfection! The chili was all meat.. yummm. If you love your meat, this is the place. We didn't even know this place existed as we used to always drive to Seattle. So glad we have a place closer now. read more

Man, oh man. We were fortunate to meet Larry and Jack the man himself while visiting the area. We tried to take on the Meatquake, but ended up taking 3 containers full of leftovers with us. Great sampler of meats and sides. Bread, pickles, jalapeños, pickled onions all included and all added to a great experience. Highly recommended for those looking for solid bbq. Brisket, ribs, sausages, pulled pork, chicken, beef bacon, fried chicken, fried catfish, chopped brisket, and rib tips. My party loved them! Their corn bread is amazing with honey on top. Brisket is really good. It tastes different being pulled apart. I also tried their squared ribs and those are the best! We also ordered fish and chips. It was a good size plate for little ones. They offer milk too fortunately :) They have their own parking which is a good thing. It is big so no problem on that side. They have tables outside for summer. Service was friendly, helpful, and welcoming. My only comment would be having a no spicy Mac n cheese. I mean, they have everything set for kids (crayons, highchairs), why not regular pasta that they would like?! Anyway, we will come back! read more
I been to Jack's BBQ before but this was the first time at this location. They do have plenty of parking so you don't have to worry about. The place is loud from the music as well as the crowd. I came because of the promotion they were having where if the mariners win the day before, they have a 50% deal on a burger: the dumper. It was a massive sandwich filled with variety of meats and a side. I chose the beans. For $12 it was such a great deal. Not only that, the meat was delicious. It went well with everything, it was tender and flavorful. We were able to call ahead and order it for takeout so that was nice. Overall, I will come back for sure read more

Update: I DID in fact use Jacks BBQ for a client appreciation lunch in February. I worked with Michelle for the catering and she was FANTASTIC! So nice, great with suggestions, and was able to accommodate what was essentially less than 24 hours notice. I'd say I planned for a good 25-30 people, about $900 for everything I received, and it was a hit! Everyone loved the food and I chose the sauced brisket which received good feedback. read more

First time here and was not disappointed. We had the Texas Trinity and the Pork Collar Steak with K-Sauce. Both were excellent and the Pork Collar was so tender, definitely recommend. Service and parking was good. read more

First time there. Ambiance and service, all great. Food was a mixed bag. For our appetirizer, the Lonestar Fries hit the spot. I had a Ribeye with I really like too. For sides, the mashed potates were just ok, and the chili was good, albeight it could have been warmer. My wife had the Double Trouble. She thought her ribs and pulled pork were way too peppery. For sides, she really liked the Queso Mac & Cheese, but the Remoulade Colesaw was just ok. read more
Located where Mayuri restaurant used to be, this place is easy to find and parking is adequate except for main meal times. Service was fast and we were seated quickly. Airy and decor matching the bbq menu. Lots of choices, normal Redmond prices but good volume. Smoked ice tea is a must (dirty version with vodka also available). Brisket was tender with a perfect smoky ring and taste. Sausages were crisp and you won't need bbq sauce with them. The pork ribs were very nicely done and juicy with a nice outside bark. The New York steak was large, and ordering rare got me a medium with hardly any sear. Might be how it is smoked. Will have to try again. Reasonable pricing for steaks for the size served. Sides were really good, Texas chili highly recommended with onions and sour cream, there are no beans! Corn bread is huge and just sweet enough. Mashed potatoes were garlicky as described and the collard greens were nice accompaniments. Glad to have this wonderful representative of Texas bbq a short drive away! read more

There aren't too many places in the Greater Seattle Area for Texas style BBQ, and I'm glad that Jack's BBQ is available on the Eastside. There was currently an interesting promotion during the month of April that extended into May called Meat Madness, where you could get a 12oz Ribeye for $29 or a 16oz for $34, so we decided to swing by and check it out! We went on a Friday around 6PM and were seated with no wait time. Parking at Jack's is difficult - there are only 4 or 5 spaces at the front of the restaurant and 8-12 spaces behind the restaurant. If there aren't any spots, you will have to find street side parking that is hopefully nearby and then walk to the restaurant. The ambiance is that of your typical Texas BBQ restaurant, with American inspired decoration with hanging wire lights and dark wooden aesthetic. Dining is casual sit down, you can also take your order to go. We got our orders after ordering through a waiter and waiting about 10-15ish minutes for our food. I got the 16oz Ribeye for $34, which came with two sides that you can select from the menu. I picked Ranch Beans and Texas Caviar as my two sides. For the steak, I ordered medium, which was done perfectly - good crust on the outside and a juicy and flavorful interior! They used a different type of spice mix rather than just straight salt and pepper, as the steak itself had a smokey and stick to your ribs decadence that is impossible to replicate at home unless you got a smoker. The Texas Caviar served as a nice kind of salad and had a small bite of acidity to it, and the Ranch Beans hearty way to get back into eating the steak. This was a very indulgent meal and will stuff most people afterwards! I also got some options to go, which included some brisket, ribs, and pulled pork. Everything including the steak added up to $83, which I thought was a decent deal for all of the food that I got. The takeout definitely made up a couple of meals afterwards. I definitely think that Jack's BBQ is one of the better Texas BBQ restaurants that I have tried in Seattle so far! Price for the quality and quantity edges out similar restaurants by a bit and location isn't as difficult as if you were to go into Seattle to find BBQ. I would revisit Jack's BBQ if I'm ever feeling some hearty and luxurious Texas BBQ! (4.5 stars) read more

So far, it's been the best BBQ in the area. Texas style BBQ with plenty of options and locations. We went to this BelRed location, but the one downer is they were out of peach cobbler (guess we'll have to come back!) We ordered The Picnic between two of us, and here's the consensus of items; Brisket: Amazing. My husband's favorite part. He's a big brisket guy to begin with and he said they definitely got it right. Ribs: My favorites! I don't normally like them black, but now I know why people do! It was so good, make sure to use the sauce Sausage: Mildly spicy and cheesy. A great change in flavor from the rest of the meats Chicken: Okay, we didn't need that much chicken really, but it was still really good. Didn't reheat well Pulled Pork: What we got was good, a lot of fatty bits which my husband doesn't like, but i thought it went down well. Mac & Cheese: It really is queso-forward. It's great at first, but we personally got a little tired of it. Wonderfully made, just a personal preference. A little decor a little ambiance and Dang, good ribs and chicken Plus sides heaven scent try the double trouble @$29 two meats and 2 sides. Recommend the St. Louis ribs. Austin landed in Bellevue! Great spot for legit BBQ on the Eastside. We'll definitely be back for more. We ordered the two-meat plate with chopped Dallas-style brisket and pulled pork. The brisket was the star -- juicy, flavorful, and the clear favorite at our table. Sides were mustard potato salad and beans. The potato salad had a great flavor, and the beans were a surprise hit -- not the usual sugary BBQ beans, but more savory and seriously delicious. Will be back! read more
