Found this hidden gem right by Young Tea. The restaurant is located on the bottom floor of a business plaza with limited parking available in front of restaurant. There's more parking behind the plaza where Young Tea is located. Upon entering the restaurant, it was already packed so we had to put our name on the waitlist. After about 20 minutes, we got seated nearby the window. The restaurant did not look too big from the outside but it was spacious when you walk inside. Restaurant had nice Chinese art decors and red painted walls. Our waitress instructed us to scan the menu QR code and order from our phone. Looking at the extensive menu, here are some items we ordered: Sweet and sour pork ribs: Thought this was pretty good. It was sweet and tendered. A good alternative dish if you can't handle spicy food. Dry pot tofu sheets: This was one of our favorites. It is a recommended dish to try when dining here. This dish was spicy and flavorful with lots of spicy peppers and peppercorn. A very numbing dish that requires you to eat with rice. They place the pot on top of an open flame for you to enjoy. A must try item! Dan Dan noodles: I like this way better than DTF. It was flavorful and spicy but a bit salty. Chili oil dumplings: The dumplings were soft and silky, which made the dish very soupy. It wasn't too spicy which was great considered that there were too many spicy items already ordered. Overall, a solid restaurant to try. It was our first time trying Hunan/Sichuan cuisine and it did not disappoint! If your palate can handle spicy, then this place is a must try. I will for sure come back and try their other dishes. Hunan and Sichuan restaurant in Bellevue NE 20th St., where a lot of Chinese restaurants are. A few parking spots out front, but a bigger parking lot behind the building. The interior is bigger than it looks from the outside. Medium sized space, with some red walls and Chinese style decorations. Can order from QR code at the table. They also provided a tablet to order. Digital menu has photos for each item. Decent selection of Hunan and Szechuan specialties. For small dishes, I got the mortar/pestle with eggplant, bell peppers and century egg, which is a Hunan specialty. You can ask the server to mash it for you. There's a nice and oily, very flavorful and a little spicy. Also got an order of the fried mantou (buns) with condensed milk for dipping. Love that stuff, and their mantou has a nice buttery crust. We tried their meatball soup, which has lots of small meatballs. Was decent and the mildest tasting item. For mains, we tried their fungi dry pot, and then beef trio. The dry pot was really good, a bit spicy but not too much, and very fragrant with the different spices, with a nice mix of textures from the different fungi. The beef dish was definitely the spiciest thing we ordered. Has beef meat, tripe, and some beef part I don't remember. Total was $120ish including tips. Ordered a little too much and spent the next 2 days eating the leftovers, so portion size is decent. read more

The food- if you are use to typical Chinese food, the spices in the food will amaze you. Every item was flavorful and prepared well. The beef dry pot had very tender beef and was our favorite. The fish maw was good but so spicy that I started to taste bitterness. Kids liked the fried pork. The service was minimal. We had to ask for water refills and outside of bringing your food, they never came by. We used the pad to order and when it was time to check out, we used to pad to summon the wait staff. They ignored us until we stood up and waived our hand. I guess you expect that at a Chinese food place. read more

Came here to try something new. We ordered the Hunan fish and salted egg yolk taro. The Hunan fish was very customizable from what you wanted inside for veggies, noodles, etc. then you could also pick type of seasoning and spice level. We went with spicy pickles, taro, a choy, intestines, and tripe. The fried taro was amazing because it was not too salty or greasy. The service was so quick for what they serve and how busy they are. The place was really well kept and clean. It does get busy quick. read more

It's been quite a while since i've been wow'd by sichuan chinese food and this spot did just that. Most of the dishes we got here were very authentic and right up my flavor alley. The eggplant with century egg was a favorite for me and my friend. It was the right mix of flavorful and garlicky. The intestine dry pot was also super delicious! Highly recommend as this was one of the best chinese food in bellevue if you like sichuan style cuisine. read more

This place is always pretty crowded when we walk in. Overall, I feel the restaurant's dishes are pretty oily, but it still tastes really good! Compared to other chili fish places, I feel like this fish does not have as much meat as other places though don't quote me on that. The ingrediends in the fish are really flavorful though. Beef has good flavor, however it is quite spicy. The tofu is our FAVORITE! The tofu is like mochi tofu, however beware that it can get quite spicy, especially if you do takeout! read more

I would honestly come here just for the dry pot beef alone. The green beans were nicely seasoned and went very well with the dishes we ordered as well. We also had ordered the sweet glazed duck and the sweet and sour ribs. The watermelon juice was also pretty good. Being able to order on the iPad was nice, and the servers were great about keeping our waters filled as well. This was my first time here, and I was truly impressed! I ordered the Dry Pot Beef, it was incredibly flavorful, rich, and delicious, definitely something I would come back for. I also highly recommend ordering their green tea with lemon, so refreshing and perfectly balanced. My husband got the Beef Trio, and the portion sizes for both dishes were huge, we couldn't finish everything and ended up taking a lot home. Very clean, new restaurant. Food gets spicy so beware. Bathrooms are clean. Parking is kind of a hassle so come early or you'll have to circle the lot or park further in the complex. Menu is in both English and Chinese and the food comes out very fast. read more

I work right across this place and I have been looking forward to its opening for a long time. I must say, no matter what I ordered here, it's always just fantastic. Very tasty and just right. Today I had the dried pot wild mushrooms medley, and after eating it, I was thinking WOW is there anything they make that doesn't taste good? It's so delicious and spicy. I guess food from this region is normally spicy, and I am in love with it. If you can't handle to fire, get out. Stop writing bad reviews for petty stuff. It's a beautiful restaurant, very clean and sort of an L shape. The hostess desk is at the front door but if you don't see someone there, just go around the corner and look for her/him. They get super busy and also have to put together to-go menus so you may have to wait a couple of minutes. NO need to complain about it and take away their perfect stars. I see it every day. I was lured here by all the rave reviews Google online, but honestly, it's really not that good. It doesn't feel like Hunan cuisine at all--more like Sichuan food. When I got home, I realized they didn't even pack up all the dishes properly. They threw in a bunch of useless chili peppers and cilantro, but didn't pack the lettuce.
