It was so clean and slick. The menu had milk tea, tea latte, flavored tea, pink salt cheese crema, alongside 10 different toppings. Sugar and ice level were customizable. I ordered the crema mango tea and the signature milk tea. The baristas were helpful. They took the ordered and prepared the drinks in few minutes. The mango crema was so delicious. The ratio of tea and milk was perfect, but I didn't like that the milk left a bit of residue at the back of my throat. You really can't go wrong with any of the drinks but my all time favorites are the tieguanyin oolong milk tea with toppings and the strawberry milk tea, which I believe they have now rebranded to strawberry smoothie. Sugar is adjustable which is great because I love my drinks less sweet. I got the strawberry smoothie and bff milk tea this time, which I believe is black milk tea with egg pudding and grass jelly, and I added egg pudding. So delicious and creamy, and the smoothie does not give off an artificial fruit taste. One thing that was off-putting to me was the signage indicating their kiosk. The makeshift, handwritten message to turn around and use the kiosk seems passive aggressive and gives off the message that the workers do not want to talk to you. Don't shake this one because the taro would just dilute and you won't be able to appreciate the taro as much. There is a plethora of boba options in Chinatown but TP tea so far has the best tasting tea and taro options. My only gripe is that this place is quite small and there's very little place to sit and enjoy. TP Tea always gets the boba consistency just right but their milk teas have very little tea flavor (for context, I usually drink my bubble tea with zero percent sugar, so it's very pronounced when it's lacking in tea flavor). The drinks are still made decently though compared to nearby spots, so this place is still my preference when I'm in the area. There's not a lot of seating area though and their low couches and coffee table are not very inviting, maybe by design, as this is more of a take-out spot. read more

But it isn't the most ideal to wait in a long, narrow line where half of the people are coughing. If you order online for pickup, it's roughly $2 more. Seating is limited and it can be uncomfortably crowded when they're busy. There's a lot of people working on drinks (takes about 10-15 minutes) but no one willing to assist picking up your order, which requires a receipt. This place can be popular at times where the queue may snake throughout the whole shop. Compared to the 45th location, this boba place has some more seating but it's not a great place to sit down and catch up with friends. This place is more of a "pick up your boba and head out when you're ready" I always get the strawberry milk tea, it's always consistently good! Even tho if it is milk tea, it's more of a smoothie. This place has the worst customer service I have ever experienced in America. I called 30 minutes before closing, was treated with absolute hostility, and hung up on. When I showed up, they refused to take my order while still serving others. To the management: Train your staff on basic human decency and professional etiquette. Since I like my drinks to be on the less sweeter side, I always do 25-50% sweetness level which definitely does the job!
