First time trying Heytea and it was incredible! We got the Golden Oolong Yuzu tea and the Grapefruit Coconut Mango Boom. I can't recommend both of these enough, and I would definitely order them again. Recommend starting with light sweetness, it was the perfect ratio. There are a few counter seats and a bench inside, but that's about it. You'll want to take it to-go. The wait time after ordering is quite long at this location, so be prepared for that. read more

I LOVE HEYTEA! Honestly I've been here more times than I can count. The drinks are consistently good, and it's definitely one of my go to spots. My only wish is that they could improve the pick up area!! It's almost always crowded and feels a bit disorganized. Bc the space is small, there isn't much room to stand, and it's easy to get mixed up between the ordering line and the pick up. I often find myself having to ask the person in front of me whether they've already ordered or if they're waiting to pick up. I absolutely love how pretty and delicious their drinks are -- they're both aesthetically pleasing and super tasty. I'll usually stop by whenever I'm nearby and not in a rush. The shop is very small and tends to get crowded quickly. I can see there are quite a few staff members working in both the front and back, but it can still take 25+ minutes to get a drink at times. I'm also not a big fan of having to install an app to track the drink status or constantly watch the monitor on the wall for updates. Even when the drinks are ready, you still have to wait for an employee to be available to hand them to you since customers aren't allowed to grab them from the counter. Stopped by the SLU location to grab some drinks. We got the Triple Supreme Matcha Latte and the Coconut Mango Boom. As usual the quality was super good. The mango is fresh and pairs well with the coconut. The matcha mochi in the latte is easily the best part. You can't go wrong with either of those drinks, especially if you are a matcha lover. The only reason I'm knocking a star off is the rewards system. I had points expiring the next day that I wanted to use, but you can only redeem them on mobile orders. Since they had turned off online ordering while I was there, I couldn't use them and basically just lost the points. Love the drinks but that policy could use some tweaking. read more

If you come during the rush (right after work or around lunchtime), expect to wait about 15-20 minutes. Bring a little patience it's worth it. My favorites are the Mango Coconut Blue and the Kale Boost Tea. I've tried both the caffeine and non-caffeine versions of the Kale Boost Tea, and I actually prefer it without the jasmine tea. The drinks taste so fresh and natural, no artificial anything. The team making the drinks is always super friendly, even though they always look understandably overwhelmed by the sheer volume of orders. This isn't really a place to hang out seating is limited and most people end up waiting outside because it's always so crowded . Pick-up can get a little chaotic and confusing with the number of drinks coming out, but just keep an eye on your number on the monitor. And yes, it's sometimes hard to see your number because there's so many numbers on the monitor. And if you're in the area for a workout this is hands-down my favorite post-workout treat. You can tell in general there is a lot of thought and effort that goes into it, from the packaging of the cup to the actual ingredients that go in it. It is always busy in store so I would recommend ordering store pick-up for a quick trip. I wouldn't expect much service because it's always busy, especially during any events, but if you go during the week during hours where everyone's working it'll probably be fine . There's a little shelter close-ish outside the store, if it's packed inside and drizzling outside. Order ahead via the app, otherwise it gets crowded with the order counter only having one terminal. Pick-up is done via call out of your order number, and the drinks are placed on numbers on the counter matching your order number. Straws are close by. This spot was a bit more chaotic on staff calling out orders and a few customers were crowded by the counter and grumpy their drink had been sitting there for a while and not called out. They did fly through orders though and it looked more like an issue with getting the drinks into customer hands rather than making the drinks themselves. I've been to HEYTEA a few times, and have dialed in that they're great for their fruit teas. I got a Cloud Green Grape this time, which was a hit. Very refreshing and sweet. One of my favorite milk tea, drink spots in Seattle. When I'm craving a sweet treat, this is where I come. The service is really slow, but that's because of how busy it is all the time. I tried out their new coconut drinks and it's super refreshing. I love the coconut jelly and the lightness of the coconut milk paired with the Matcha foam. It didn't feel heavy and it was great as a little pick me up in the afternoon or something you have after dinner. I learned the Matcha you cannot change out the milk, so I asked them to recommend something else and was recommended to try the cloud coconut blue. I got it with regular sugar. It taste amazing! You get real coconut milk with the coconut jelly and the Matcha is top shelf! Service took the right amount of time, it wasn't super quick, but it didn't take very long. The wait isn't bad - we waited about 10 minutes to order, and got our drinks about 5 minutes after ordering. We tried the Brown Sugar Bobo Milk tea and the Cloud Crisp Grape. Boba here is great 5/5 stars, especially when the drink first comes out. It has the perfect chewiness, though I prefer it a little sweeter. Cloud Crisp Grape is a refreshing drink, but the grape bits in the drink is quite sour. Overall, I give the drinks 4/5 stars, but the entire experience gets 3/5 stars at most. read more

I've had HeyTea before but was never as impressed as my visit here in the South Lake Union location. Granted that it's fairly new, the hype is still there, so I went there across 3 occasions - 1st time the line was a block long so I didn't bother, 2nd time I can't online order so I walked in person and the kiosk says 88 drinks ahead / 57 min wait so I didn't bother, 3rd time I finally could place an online order with a 25 min wait. I have the luxury to just cross the street and a block and be there, so it can be dangerous for my diet. I got the Cloud Crisp Grape (Crisp Grape Boom + cheese cloud) and Supreme Brown Sugar Bobo Milk Tea. On the app, first orders are 15% off so these 2 drinks hurt my wallet just a tid but less. Cloud crisp grape is a grape juice + jasmine tea drink with small grape pieces that act like boba at the bottom. I don't go for fruit teas usually but since this is one of the more popular drinks, I had to check the hype. It's really floral and good. Supreme brown sugar bobo milk tea is pretty good too. The tea is very apparent here - way more so than many other boba shops. Lowkey I shouldn't drink this past 5pm since the strength of flavor is because the strength of the tea is fairly high. I couldn't sleep until 3am haha. But it's so delicious. The boba is average - a bit on the softer side. It's crazy long waits for what boba is worth generally (aside from Chicha, which I give them credit for their nice quality drinks too) and quite pricy ($8+ before tax) so this will be a very occasional visit, despite it being 2 min walk away from my apartment. read more

Went here after work since it's super close walk. It was very crowded around 5:30ish and the place is just super small in general. Most people standing around to the side and outside as well. You order at the front and then you have to wait until you see your number on the screen saying that it's done (don't forget to show them your receipt). It's a bit hard to see if your order is ready if you're on the side with the little seating they have. I was a bit disappointed with the green grape boom since I loved the mango grapefruit boom in NYC. I was looking forward to getting Heytea again because their tea is super strongly flavored and the drinks are very light. I think I just didn't taste too much grape and my friend also tried it and didn't like it. As someone who lives in SLU, I'm happy about another good boba place! Line was long (peril of going one week after opening), and they take a bit of time to make each drink, but I had no qualms with the final product! They use real tea, which is obvious from the fragrance as soon as you enter the store. They have a small menu at the cashier, and screens telling you when you've ordered and when the drink is ready. My milk tea was great. Not overly sweet, and the boba was a great, soft consistency and had a really nice brown sugar flavor. Each drink is quite big, and is a tad pricey, over $8 for every drink (including tax). That being said, I'll be back! Especially when hype dies down, there's a really nice outdoor seating area, and the inside seating area is shockingly spacious. read more

This is a slightly belated review from my visit but I love Heytea SLU so much! Been waiting for it to open for many months.. long before the signs were up when rumor on the street was that we were getting Heytea. Everytime i saw progress on the store, i got so excited and counted every day till its opening. I have been back twice since the opening day and it's been nothing but great. The opening day was definitely chaotic, saw people lined up as early as 9am for the 11am opening, lines extended beyond thomas street warehouse which is basically half of the entire blocks distance away. I got my first drink close to closing hours which had a much shorter wait time yet still took a good 20-30 minutes. The store is beautiful, Heytea is known for its quality but also its stunning branding. Its so chic, clean, and trendy. This is also one of the rare spots in SLU that is actually open past 6pm! How amazing is that? I have so far tried the cloud crisp grape and coconut mango boom, light sugar which is 60% and less ice. I personally prefer the cloud crisp grape between the two because the mango one was quite heavy, and im not the biggest fan of chunky jellys (altho theirs is delicious). I think id definitely order the crisp grape again but without the cheese foam aka cloud because i personally didnt like the combination of salty and refreshing flavor at the same time. I think their cloud crema is amazing, and id like it with milk tea and brown sugar boba rather than icy slushy. Overall, i am excited to see their menu expand to full capacity day by day, seeing the staff members seem more adjusted to the store (and hopefully less crazy crowds and having to work overtime) and happy, and online ordering becoming available! read more

OMG!! So happy to have a HeyTea in Seattle!! Super easy to walk up to but parking can be tricky. Only street parking nearby but it's a short walk away from some parking garages. Every tea I have had from here is absolutely delicious. The flavors are delicate and fresh. The flavor combinations are unique. Staff is courteous, friendly, and efficient. A wonderful welcome to Seattle! HEYTEA expanded into Washington last summer with their Bellevue location and now there's one on the west side. Grand opening yesterday (May 2). HEYTEA is known for cheese foam and fruit tea, plus their socials. A bit overrated and overhyped maybe, but consistently high quality nonetheless. Similar to Bellevue and other HEYTEA locations, the drinks here are phenomenal. Long wait but it'd be a lie to say the drinks here aren't refreshing. They're pretty addicting too. Took about 22 minutes to get to the front and order. Then another 18 minutes to get the drinks (40 total). No more magnets! Service is top tier but some mistakes likely because of the traffic, especially between light and less ice or sugar. Supreme Brown Sugar Bobo Milk Tea - had to get a standard for comparison, plus I'm a milk tea guy. Creamy and delightful. Not much tea flavor but the crema was fantastic. Boba was fresh, as expected with the traffic, chewy with a slight bounce. Cloud Matcha Latte - rich matcha with their signature cheese foam. I believe the Supreme version uses a matcha foam. Creamy with a balanced umami flavor. Earthy roots, best appreciated at minimal or no sugar, but not for everyone.
