OMG!! So happy to have a HeyTea in Seattle!! Super easy to walk up to but parking can be tricky. Only street parking nearby but it's a short walk away from some parking garages. Every tea I have had from here is absolutely delicious. The flavors are delicate and fresh. The flavor combinations are unique. Staff is courteous, friendly, and efficient. A wonderful welcome to Seattle! HEYTEA expanded into Washington last summer with their Bellevue location and now there's one on the west side. Grand opening yesterday (May 2). HEYTEA is known for cheese foam and fruit tea, plus their socials. A bit overrated and overhyped maybe, but consistently high quality nonetheless. Similar to Bellevue and other HEYTEA locations, the drinks here are phenomenal. Long wait but it'd be a lie to say the drinks here aren't refreshing. They're pretty addicting too. Took about 22 minutes to get to the front and order. Then another 18 minutes to get the drinks (40 total). No more magnets! Service is top tier but some mistakes likely because of the traffic, especially between light and less ice or sugar. Supreme Brown Sugar Bobo Milk Tea - had to get a standard for comparison, plus I'm a milk tea guy. Creamy and delightful. Not much tea flavor but the crema was fantastic. Boba was fresh, as expected with the traffic, chewy with a slight bounce. Cloud Matcha Latte - rich matcha with their signature cheese foam. I believe the Supreme version uses a matcha foam. Creamy with a balanced umami flavor. Earthy roots, best appreciated at minimal or no sugar, but not for everyone. my boyfriend and I are heytea regulars! it is our go to spot for boba now. everything is always fresh and nothing taste artificial! I usually go for the mango coconut boom which is light and refreshing. I never have to adjust the sugar as I find their normal level is less sweet than other boba shops which is perfect for me. the sago is always cooked perfectly and the whole drink blends together really well. bright from the fresh mango slush and creamy from the coconut. they recently added the mango coconut blue which doesn't taste any different to the normal mango coconut to me. my boyfriend usually gets the supreme bobo milk tea. the pearls are nicely mixed with brown sugar and are always soft and chewy. he also always adjusts the sugar level of his drinks but it's perfect for him here. read more

Heytea is a go-to spot for me. The drinks are reasonably priced for the quality and flavor, and when available, online ordering makes it easy to skip part of the line. I also appreciate that you can make more health-conscious adjustments such as reducing sugar or swapping toppings. My usual is minimal sugar with fat-free bobo pops instead of sago for the coconut mango boom. I've been trying several boba tea places around the Seattle area. HeyTea seems to be by far the most popular in the SLU area which unfortunately means waiting 20 minutes for a drink within an hour of them opening. While the jasmine milk tea was delicious, it wasn't 20 minutes delicous. If you really want to try, id suggest trying to order ahead (although they app cuts of ordering sometimes if they are too busy). There is a small area for seating however there are often several people standing inside and outside waiting for tea. read more

Highly recommend downloading the app and ordering before. I blindly walked in to order because I randomly wanted to try the drinks here. I did order the cloud matcha and the cloud crisp bloom. The wait was kind of insane but luckily it was nice out and my puppy was with me to help kill time. This place is very popular so I don't think walking in blindly to order if you're on a time crunch would be ideal. The matcha was great, it was so nice and creamy and honestly loved how delicious it was. The cloud crisp grape was nice but lacked a lot of flavor. It wasn't even sweet as I thought since I was under the impression that it was going to be sweet grapes haha. It was a nice slush though. Wouldn't get it again. It's a small space for a tea shop in Seattle. Staff is quite nice. It's too bad that they don't have a bathroom. I was visiting Seattle for 9 days and a friend took me here, I ended up having HeyTea 4 out of the 9 days I was in Seattle! During the BOGO days for their new/seasonal flavors it gets very busy and the wait is quite long (around 20+ minutes) but the service is great overall. Their drinks are really fresh and tasty. If you go right now, you'll likely wait about 45 minutes for your drink after standing in line for 15-20 minutes as they're crazy busy. The line is out the door to order and inside is packed with people standing and sitting at the few tables waiting for drinks. All of the drinks have caffeine and all of their milk teas or anything with crema have dairy and are not adjustable. This was the main bummer, but the way they make the drinks means it's pre-mixed in the machine. I'd like to try this spot again once things calm down and see how it goes but I'm sad I can't have the milk teas because the dairy. We ordered the Coconut Mango Blue drink, which was delicious; however, the service and a misunderstanding left a lot to be desired. I ordered the drink on the app and was notified on the app and by the monitor displaying orders that my drink was ready. I waited a long time for the person behind the counter to hand me my drink, but the shop was busy and she was attending to new orders. I grabbed my drink from the counter, and only did the worker turn her attention to me to say that I could not grab the drink, a drink that I had ordered and paid for. She grabbed the drink back and wiped it off. I showed her my order number, and she handed it right back. There was no sign saying orders that are ready cannot be grabbed from the counter, and the worker's approach to grab the drink back was disrespectful. If it is shop policy to have worker's hand drinks, then there should be a sign saying "Though your drink is ready, do not grab it and wait for someone to hopefully notice you and hand it to you." Service is almost always a miss. I understand everyone has off days, but in a customer-facing role, it's important to keep your emotions in check. At times, the staff at the front can come across as irritated, which affects the overall experience. There have also been multiple occasions where customers are left waiting at the register with no one attending, even when several employees are working up front. Operationally, I think some changes need to be made. The cashier should be the top priority, especially when there's a line. It doesn't make sense to focus on side tasks like prepping to-go boxes while guests are waiting to order. Improving front-of-house coordination, task rotation, and customer flow would make a noticeable difference. read more

While the tea itself is good, the customer service is consistently disappointing. The staff are often rude, rarely acknowledge customers, and orders take longer than expected even when placed online. I've tried ordering ahead to avoid the interaction, but the experience hasn't improved. Unfortunately, the repeated negative interactions have made the environment feel unwelcoming, and because of that I won't be coming back. Both times, I waited 20-25 minutes just to order, and then another 20 minutes to get one drink. I can't imagine ordering for a group. The app (via QR code) is supposed to make things easier, but it's not user-friendly. Customizing drinks is confusing--add-ons are buried in the main menu, and there's no option to modify your drink within its own screen. A redesign could go a long way for a smoother digitial experience. In-store is just as chaotic. The cashiers are slow and hard to hear, and the layout adds to the confusion--pickup is right next to the order line, so no one knows where to stand. It's messy, overwhelming, and stressful. On the bright side, the drinks are good. I had the Coconut Mango and Mango Grapefruit and enjoyed both. But they were out of the coconut milk jelly both times, which was disappointing. There's potential here, but the experience doesn't match the hype. I might try ordering ahead next time--if there is a next time. The in-store experience is more frustrating than refreshing...
