I went here to use up my Grubhub credits, but I will be writing my review based on if I paid the regular price on the menu. I got a pickup order for a Vitality Bowl which was an acai bowl with granola, strawberry, banana, honey, and goji berries. I opted for the small which is pretty small for the price you pay, and the acai tasted a bit watered down. The banana and strawberries were decent, and the honey does add some sweetness to an otherwise bland dish. I have had acai before in California and in Brazil, both of which were much more delicious so it is not because of how it is prepared in general. I love their bowls! I am always getting a large size because it only costs $1-2 more and it is worth it. (E. g. they put two bananas in) Great lunch meal or a shared breakfast bowl! This time I asked the cashier which bowl she recommended/was popular & she suggested The Superfood Bowl. It consists of organic açaí, acerola, graviola, strawberries, bananas, kale, their superfood blend, almond milk, topped w/ organic granola, banana, blueberries, organic goji berrries, organic cacao nibs, & honey. It was my first time having goji berries but I wasn't really a fan of it. That would probably be the one thing I would've done differently w/ this bowl. You guys officially lost me as a customer. Every single time I place an order I pay $0.75 for extra granola and I never get it. Sometimes I ask for extra granola on the bottom and then I get none on the top. Sometimes I ask for it on the side and I get none in my bowl but a little cup on the side or sometimes I just don't get extra granola at all. Since I always order to go it's really inconvenient for me to come back and complain over 75 cents. But I'm completely over this place now. This one tasted way too sugary and a little bitter and not fresh at all. I did not feel like I was having a healthy meal. I have never spent so much on an acai bowl either, it was $15 and the picture made it look very big. But in reality, it was that much for a tiny little plastic cup of "acai" with probably one spoonful of granola and like 2 berries on top. I felt like it was not a good deal at all or worth anything like that. They also did not have any seating. The place looked large so I expected to be able to eat inside. My first time having an acai bowl - I know, I'm late to the game. But also, that means take this review with a grain of salt because I have nothing to compare it to lol. Either way, we really enjoyed it. We went for a nice morning walk before work and we ordered the Apple Pie special and the Superfood Bowl. Both of them we ordered large. For the AM, we barely made a dent in either of them, it was dense! So we popped it in the freezer to eat later. It made a fabulous "dessert" after dinner. I was worried something called "Apple Pie" would be way too sweet but it was fantastic. Even later, it made a great "sorbet" type dessert when we pulled it out of the freezer later in the evening (both of them did). If you couldn't tell, the apple pie one was my fav but the superfood bowl was tasty as well. We definitely want to go back and try out some others! read more
