Winter Melon Chrysanthemum Osmanthus Oolong Tea
Sally H.

Whenever I visit Washington, Dont Yell at Me is one of those trusty go to milk tea shops that wont do you wrong! I love this location because of the design and interior. We got some tea when we landed and it was the perfect way to end our first night in Washington! I highly recommend the Wintermelon tea!

This was my first time at this new location and I have to say, it's pretty nice. They Definitely redid the place well. I'm not sure if this is only at this location but they have sandwiches here and other desserts like basque cheesecake and all are made in house. They even had little samples for you to try which is nice. I got the ham and cheese sandwich and a pistachio basque cheesecake and a chrysanthemum wintermelon drink. Everything was pretty good and priced reasonably. The people there was also nice and helpful. The place is a little small but there are some standing rooms in the back with a view, so that was nice as well. Overall, I would come back if I'm in the area.

Cream Brle Original Milk Tea with brown sugar boba

A fun little spot that I'm sure is busy during the week with corp business. They were very quick and the drink came out great. The boba is perfectly chewy. I had the crème brûlée with brown sugar boba and it was so sweet and thick it was essentially a milkshake. Very yummy.

I have been to several Don't Yell At Me boba shops in the area but never this one because the parking is challenging. (I don't think they have validated parking, not sure) It is a standalone booth at Bellevue Connections by 106th. I had my first visit here thanks to the Bellevue Arts Fair. There are a few small tables inside and outside also. When it is a nice day, it is pleasant to sit outside. I would not count on sitting inside, though. I have always liked their beverages, finding their tea flavors to be flavorful (milk black teas) or crisp & clear (non-milk ones) while their prices are fair for the quality and size. For this visit, we had their Pink Lychee Smoothie with cheese foam on top. There are bits of lychee at the bottom. It is a refreshing drink on a warm day. The service was swift - both for taking orders and for the drink to be made. Thanks for that!

Underground parking which makes it not a quick drop by and pickup but glad that there is a parking option being in bellevue downtown. Sadly they were out of oolong but the matcha did not disappoint. Boba was perfectly cooked. Bright and clean location but limited seating area. Staff available to take orders.

Pink Lychee Smoothie Topped w/ Cheese Foam: I love the lychee flavor and bits in the smoothie. It goes very well with the cheese foam and is a great drink during summertime! Organic Milk Tea Topped w/ Cheese Foam: Very creamy milk tea, especially with the cheese foam. The tea flavor is very prominent and yummy. Osmanthus Jasmine Milk Tea: The floral taste was lovely. The milk tea did not taste too watered down. I always look forward to coming back and getting drinks here. It's conveniently located near the Bellevue Transit Center and has several tables for indoor seating. It is usually pretty empty inside and the service is quick. For me, the drinks are a bit sweet so I go for 0-15% sweetness.

Environment: it was a unique place but there are small tables to sit but I feel like it's mainly a grab and go situation. Staff: didn't greet, had a poker face, maybe they were tired, not sure but my friend and I said more thank yous to them and there was no one there when we ordered. Drink: I got their original milk tea, half sweet, and regular ice. The tea flavor was present but nothing outstanding. I heard this is a nice chain from Taiwan but this was very average for me. Even though it was half sweet, the aftertaste left a quite sweet taste. The logo was funny as well as the name of the place but when I visit Seattle again I'll try elsewhere.

Solid tea place. It's a no frills fresh tea. Place is clean, service is fast, and the price is reasonable compared to other places. I've been stopping by almost every night to grab a tea on the way home.

Awesome boba tea! They have such unique flavors and fresh ingredients. The inside is so cute and sunny to enjoy a little tea date. The service was friendly!

This place I belive just open this summer. Parking: street parking or validate parking garage at Bellevue collection garage. Small place. Has indoor seating area. Quick and fast service. We ordered: Mango green tea. No restroom

Tiramisu milk tea cheese foam

This place seemed promising and was recommended. They had some interesting drink options with all the toppings and flavors I usually love. Got the tiramisu milk tea w cheese foam. Was a bit disappointed because it tasted really artificial. At first it had decent tea flavor but then once I mixed in I'm guessing what is the tiramisu flavoring at the bottom, it tasted like fake caramel. I almost didn't want to finish it but didn't want to waste it. Maybe their plain milk tea is OK for next time

This Taiwanese Boba place near Bellevue Square has great Boba. it's a shore walk away from Bellevue square. I recommend after watching a movie at Lincoln Square or shopping at Bellevue Square that you make the short walk here to enjoy a drink. Not much room to sit down inside, but there are plenty of spots outside in the little square it is in for you to sit down and enjoy your drink (when it is not raining). Service is not always "enthusiastic" but they are efficient at serving your drink.

Maxine L.

Don't yell at me is already one of my go to boba places in Seattle, so when I saw their grand opening promo in Bellevue, I had to visit! There was a considerable line, which took an hour total to get our drinks (yikes) but bogo? I got the jasmine milk tea with golden boba which I already know is yummy. 25% sweet is perfect for me, and I love that they go even lower (15 and 0). Important note though. They don't validate parking for the garage below :c so do keep that in mind! 10/10! Bonus points for the super bright and airy cafe area. It feels really clean and warm.

After placing my order, the app said there were 50 drinks ahead of mine in the queue, and about a 20 min wait. Staff were accommodating of my reusable cup and were, after some initial hesitation, able to serve my drink in my glass tumbler instead of the plastic cup. Thanks for supporting sustainability even while it was super busy today! The Triple Supreme Matcha Latte was really good, consisting of a strong matcha latte with matcha mochi and matcha jelly. The mochi is very soft and the jelly adds a nice texture to the drink.

The shop is tidy and had custom Seattle / Bellevue art on the wall, which was a nice local touch. There is a very small section of seating inside, but no tables, so most customers merely just pick up their tea and go. Macu specializes in dessert drinks which sound tempting and indulgent, but all of them are "fixed", so you need to order them as-is with no customizations to the sweetness and ice levels. Since I had just finished lunch, I wanted a lighter drink and noticed their Golden Leaf Tea is a "Macu Exclusive", so I knew I had to try it. It's described as a unique variety of Oolong. You can get the Golden Leaf Tea in just its plain brewed form, in a milk tea, or as part of their Chi-Chi series, which comes topped with cheese foam. + CHI-CHI GOLDEN LEAF TEA w/ 10% sweetness & light ice ($6.00): I feel perplexed by this drink. Despite not having much of a tea flavor, I endured a little caffeine buzz a couple hours later. I am not sure if the tea itself is supposed to be more mild in flavor, but I just couldn't sense its strength. However, the drink was crisp and refreshing, with the 10% sweetness level being perfect for my taste. The cheese foam was pretty light, smooth and not too salty. As I sipped it, the foam melded gradually with the tea and took over the flavor, making it slightly creamy too. One of my companions got the RUBY GRAPEFRUIT LI-LI TEA ($6.75 + $0.75 boba) and couldn't taste the tea either. It was very grapefruit-forward, including lots of pulp from the fruit. She said the boba was nicely cooked and lightly sweetened. We ordered at the kiosk and the staff called our number in just a few minutes. It didn't take long since they just had a couple mobile orders other than ours. I am willing to give Macu another chance, but was just let down since my tea seemed quite diluted compared to other Oolong teas I've ordered elsewhere. 3.25 stars.

It did not come automatically, and it also was not listed as an add-on option at the kiosk. So, if you want boba, order at the front counter instead with a representative. I wish that they clarified that upfront because the visuals were misleading. The staff was not interactive. They were focused on making drinks and keeping the space clean -- which is the bare minimum -- but it did not feel welcoming at all. There was also no clarity on when orders were ready. They would just place the drinks at the front and move on without calling out numbers, or confirming which order was what. It would help a lot if they announced the order number and drink name so that customers know when to step up. There is not much seating here either. It is a pretty tight shop, but thankfully there are other good restaurants and stores nearby, if you want to hang out elsewhere. Parking is a bit tough, so get comfortable with parallel parking on the strest The lighting inside is very bright -- almost too bright -- but honestly, it matches the energy of the tiramisu latte that kept me wide awake. One extra star for the free, collapsible red cup holders that I never seen any other boba shop do, though!

There are 3 cafes I go to on the regular for my hojicha fix: Magic Matcha, Tendon Kohaku, and Bobae in Kirkland. While I enjoy all three, Magic Matcha is my favorite. The roasted tea flavor is strong, they allow me to adjust the sweetness level, and the flavor of the drink is always consistent. I've had issues with Tendon and Bobae either changing up the brand or the roast or adding too much milk on any given day. One of my gfs loves their horchata hojicha so there's that. I tasted it and it was objectively good. I wouldn't get it only because I'm not a huge fan of cinnamon, but if I were, it would be another go-to drink.

I've been here twice, once a few years ago with my cousins, and another three days ago. The people working were attentive and quick with their service. The ambiance of the place is cute, a lot of pink and green, very instagram-worthy, and I saw a few people with friends or working on their laptop so it seems like a great place vibe-wise. To expand on my matcha critique, I found the color to be a little on the green-yellow side, which isn't the end all- be all quality indicator for matcha, but I find matcha lattes that are more rich in color tend to taste better and this tasted like a matcha drink I could make with costco matcha. I've made some decent lattes with costco matcha but once I switched to the more higher quality ones, well, it sorta refined my tastes. There isn't a lot of parking, and to be fair, a lot of people who are in downtown Bellevue are parked elsewhere else and likely just meander their way to the cafe. However, if you're coming in by car, I'd suggest parking by the apartments nearby, DO NOT park at the Chase Bank lot, even if the bank itself is closed (learned my lesson...). Overall, a 3.7-3.9. Could be better. Maybe with other additives like cold foam or strawberries, the drink is better, but I'm judging based off the basic latte.
