The egg rolls were greasy. The crepe was not crunchy and the fish sauce was not spicy. The staff was friendly which would deserve 4 stars but a restaurant rating is based on food taste and the service would be icing on the cake.
This is not my first time at Lemongrass and it won't be my last . The Bánh Xèo was generous with the oil, not usually my thing, but I get it, that's what gives you the crispy, and honestly it delivered. The Cơm Đặc Biệt came with a solid spread, though I was wishing for the chả trứng to complete it. The Bún Bò Huế has real potential, just needs those pork blood cubes, banana blossoms, and a richer, deeper broth to take it to the next level. But the Bánh Bèo Chén? That was the standout, soft, perfectly topped with shrimp floss, fried shallots, and scallion oil, soaking up the sauce exactly how it should. Lemongrass continues to be spectactular! They have every Vietnamese dish you could be craving. They have nice and attentive servers. And the food comes out so quick. What more could you want? My favorites were the banh khot and bun cha this time around, but everything was delicious as usual. I love that there is a dish for everyone so everyone will leave happy!
I came back to the restaurant to give it another try as the last time, I thought the grilled pork spring rolls tasted like jerky (the pork was dry and thin). I walked in and was greeted immediately by the waiter. I got seated and began to order grilled pork sausage spring rolls and the lemon grass special rice combo. As I got done ordering, the restaurant began to get filled up with customers as it was lunch hour. The rice combo was really good, and the grilled pork sausage spring rolls were also delicious. The pork meat didn't taste dry at all.
Tried this spot for lunch with a friend after it came highly recommended. We ordered the turmeric coconut rice cakes (bánh khọt), grilled pork chop with rice (cơm sườn heo nướng), and the vermicelli noodles with grilled pork and egg rolls (bún thịt nướng chả giò). Every dish was fantastic--everything arrived promptly, the service was friendly and efficient, and the restaurant had a relaxed vibe without being too crowded. The bánh khọt were especially fresh, with a subtle savory flavor that paired beautifully with the fish sauce--absolutely delicious. My favorite dish was the bún thịt nướng chả giò: the pork was juicy, tender, and just the right amount of fatty, making every bite satisfying. The grilled pork chop was nicely charred, a touch dry on its own, but balanced well with the rice and fresh vegetables. All in all, a great experience. I'm really glad I finally checked this place out. The ambiance was pleasant, and I'd definitely come back.

I have seen this restaurant so many times, finally decided to dine in for lunch. Conveniently located in Renton, with lots of parking. When we came in, we were greeted kindly and seated right away. All the waiter's there were very nice and took our orders pretty quick. I order the rice combo, but instead of pork, I asked for the short ribs. So, much flavor!! We also ordered the steamed rice cakes, to share. Which was very good, we even had a few left over to bring home. Even though the food was good, it did cost a bit much. For my combo plate, it was about $25 and for the steamed rice cakes, that was $19. The only thing that we didn't get was water, instead the waiters gave us warm tea. He kept our tea glasses filled. Lastly, the restaurant was very cute. When you would come in through the west entrance, there's a cute little bar set up there. With seatings along the windows. The restaurant isn't too big, but very nice and cozy.
I almost didn't want to go here because the prices on Google were pretty high, but I went anyways and to my enjoyment they have new menus and the prices are lower than Google was showing so that's awesome! I got the pork fresh rolls, and some veggies in pho broth and it was all great. The servers are super polite and helpful and the atmosphere is cozy and relaxing. I'll come back.

Every time we walk in, we get seated right away, and they immediately bring us water and menus. The food always comes out fresh and delicious. The service is amazing our server made sure our drinks were always refilled, and we never had to look around for him because he was already on top of everything. The ambiance is always nice, too. I usually come in with my husband, and I love the dim lighting it feels cozy and intimate. We love the pho here, and the stir-fry noodles are also very good. Highly recommend!
This spot has some really good food and drinks!! Parking is easy since they have a parking lot in front. Service is welcoming and friendly. Plenty of seating and tables. Don't skip their drink menu! They've got some great alcoholic and non-alcoholic options. We got the mango island vibes and berry beach breeze. The berry beach breeze was my favorite! It was like a strawberry yogurt drink and it was so refreshing! Food: + lemongrass rolls - really enjoyed this! Very refreshing and a nice appetizer. + da nang pork satay - tasty but on the fattier side + grilled lemongrass beef - really like the tenderness and flavor! + yellow noodle soup - was surprised by this one! So tasty and also my first time having it! + siusiu chicken rice pot - this was probably my favorite dish! Felt like a comforting bowl of flavorful chicken and rice! Overall, we really love the food here and would 100% come back again for dinner! I really want to try out their pho next time!

Filled with prawns, pork slices, and bean sprouts in pan-fried batter mixed with coconut milk served with fresh green vegetable, and mixed herb fish sauce. The eggs rolls were SOO crispy and stuffed with pork, shrimp, taro roots and lots of veggies. The combo vermicelli had this grilled shrimp cake and it was my favorite part of the bowl! Lots of different cocktails to choose from and you can get it with no alcohol as well! We tried the hot spice latte which they used their Vietnamese coffee but put a holiday twist to it. Mango sunrise was super refreshing and had mango bits as well!

I used to order the mango salad all the time, but the last two times it's completely unripe and inedible. I gave them the benefit of the doubt the first time because it wasn't quite mango season (but take it off the menu if it's not ready?) but now it's summer so I don't get why they're still serving unripe mango. That's 95% of the dish that I can't eat now. read more

Wow, the food here was amazing. Everything was so flavorful. We got the grill pork chop combo, the grill pork chop was marinated with the perfect amount of fish sauce and a crunchy caramelized sugary finish. Second, the eggplants were so tasty, topped with peanut and fried onions with a side of their fish sauce. The quail, wow, one of the best flavored quails I've eaten in a long time, they marinate it, and you can tasted the seasonings they put on it, there was also a side of salt/pepper lemon mix which I loved. Service was great, they were attentive and gave me napkins as I was eating the quail with my hands. That's a plus! Ambiance. Needs an update-- it felt a little worn. It was strange that the entrance was the other side which I thought was the back. The outside restaurant sign is beautiful and looks inviting so I thought the inside was going to look nicer. Flavorful and authentic Vietnamese dishes with big servings. I always love ordering their mango salad and noodle soups. They always hit the spot. Plenty of Vietnamese dishes to choose from, including full bar for alcoholic drinks. I think the price is reasonable with the amount of serving and quality of service. Fast and friendly service. The ambiance of the restaurant is good, nothing as special, but it is a great spot for dining in with friends and family. Plenty of parking around the restaurant. read more
Been here a couple of times and their bun rieu (shrimp, egg, and tofu noodle soup), mi quang (yellow noodle soup) are my favorite noodle soups to get. Both are very tasty. I've tried their steam rice cake (banh beo chen) and I think Renton Bistro does it better. Besides Vietnamese food, they also serve alcoholic beverages. read more

The lemongrass spring rolls loaded with warm crispy tofu are always delicious and my favorite starter. Today I tried the curry, it was tasty, spicy enough but not much for an occidental. We really enjoyed all these traditional dishes at The Lemongrass! I grew up in Vietnam and these dishes truly teleported me there. All the dishes were seasoned so well with the perfect texture! The waiters here are so attentive, friendly and got a great sense of humor :) We ordered some of my all time favorites: bánh bèo chén (steamed rice cakes), bánh xèo (Vietnamese pancakes), mango salad (gỏi xoài), cá bông lau kho tộ (catfish stew), and canh chua (Vietnamese tamarind soup). read more
This is one of those places where I overlooked and didn't realize it was worth a stop.. I have been going to uwajimaya and the discount tires for years not realizing there was a restaurant worth going into right under my nose.. Good Vietnamese cuisine is a bit difficult to find in seattle ; not all viet cuisine is created equal .. This place is lovely for lunch / early dinner. The staff were friendly and the menu offered a wide variety of choices from seafood to pho, to rice dishes. One of the dishes that stood out in particular called Siusiu chicken .. it's basically grilled chicken topped over rich cooked in chicken broth served with ginger and fish sauce.. that really stood out.. The prices are a bit high for Vietnamese food but the quality was quite delicious. This is worth a visit . read more
We stopped in for lunch after visiting the Jimmi Hendrix Memorial. The food we were served was fresh and absolutely delicious! Their spring rolls were so delicate and crisp, the peanut sauce was decadent I had the pork and eggroll bun and it was so good. The eggroll that was with it had to be one of the best I've ever had. The pork was also tender and flavorful. I wish this was in Florida so I could visit often . read more

Came in Friday afternoon for a togo spring rolls. Service was great.enviromonet was bustling yet calm. Pricing was great. As I waited for my meal to be ready, one of the employees gave me a cup of tea. I found this incredibly hospitable with it being so rainy and cold out. They provided me with what I didn't know I needed! Packaging was great. I got and extra peanut sauce. The fresh rolls are delicious and the consistency of the peanut sauce was perfect. Not too thick or thin - just the right amount of peanut yuuminess! I will be back and thank you for your hospitality! read more
My anti-bean sprout boyfriend and I come to the Lemongrass frequently for Vietnamese food, ever since a friend gave him a bean sprout-less spring roll from here. The Lemongrass is right off of the freeway which makes it a convenient dining spot in Renton. The menu is many pages long and includes your typical Pho and Bún as well as several traditional dishes that most other Vietnamese restaurants don't serve such as Mi Quang (yellow noodle soup), Bun Rieu (shrimp, egg, and tofu soup), and Banh Xeo (Vietnamese stuffed crepe). They also have vegetarian dishes available. Prices are competitive and average between $15-$20 per dish but the portions are generous and I never leave hungry. Of the many dishes I've tried here, I think their Pho is decent and their Bun Rieu is good if you like tomato hot pot and want to try something different other than pho. Their Banh Canh (rice flour noodles in soup) was pretty good too as it has a strong shrimp broth flavor. With that said, there were a few dishes that I probably wouldn't order again such as their Mi Quang. However, I think that's just a personal opinion as I had never had it before and didn't realize that yellow noodles meant dyed fluorescent yellow noodles and not egg noodles. I'm sure it's traditional, but it was a bit too odd for me. It also didn't come with that much seafood and so it just missed the mark for me. Their Bun Bo Hue, spicy beef soup, had a lot of meat but lacked the heat. Their Yellow Curry was Vietnamese style and not Thai style; I thought they would be similar, but the Vietnamese style was much more bland and didn't have a strong curry taste. Service is decent and the servers are always very friendly and attentive; they always come by to ask how our food is and to refill our waters. Parking is plentiful as they have a large shared lot. The restaurant is always busy, but I've never had to wait for a table. I've honestly never had a bad experience here and that says a lot given the number of times I've eaten at The Lemongrass. In terms of atmosphere, the place is modern casual. They have at least a dozen tables including booths. The bathrooms are single stalls and always kept clean. My only qualm is that the hot water tap never works in the women's bathroom; it's always ice cold. Overall: 4/5 for food, 5/5 for service, 4/5 for atmosphere read more

A solid 3.5 stars for this spot! Their service was really attentive and helpful in making sure my food allergy was understood. Banh beo: generous amount of toppings on each serving, these were pretty huge! Although the texture of the rice cakes were a little too soft Five spice chicken noodle soup: this chicken was sooooo good!! The texture was on point and the best protein of the meal. The broth was pretty salty and the noodles were a little soggy though. So it needed lots of lime and bean sprouts. Grilled pork vermicelli bowl: overall a tasty dish!
