Wow, I've been back to this location so many times. In those years, this restaurant has changed its owner, name, and chefs at least a couple times. But it's always been a dim sum place. It's.....never been the best dim sum place. Sometimes better, sometimes worse. This time was not bad. Chicken feet: Pretty good. I definitely prefer this sort of flavor and soft texture over the harder ones. It could use maybe a tad more spice though. Fen guo: Delicious, I always like these. Only complaint would be some of these fell apart a tad too easily for some reason though. Pork ribs: Good texture and flavor. Not too oily. Tofu skin roll: Quite good. Although, similar to the feet, I would've preferred just a tad more umami. Sticky rice: Ooohh, these were surprisingly nice. Not only the mushroom and meat, but even the little bit of egg. I do wish there was some fat on the meat though. Tripe: It's good. Tripe is tripe. We also had a winter melon soup that I didn't take a picture of. That was pretty good also. Aside from dim sum, a lot of their menu items are generically Chinese items. It looks more catered to Americans than I remember.

This is a new restaurant that serves dim sum all day. They sell bbq chicken, roasted duck and roasted pig in the front area. Many customers came to wait and pick what they want to take home for dinner. A very big restaurant that can seat a few 100. Lots of tables for a banquet or parties. All tables comes with an ordering pad where you can order at your leisure. We ordered three dim sums and a special noodle dish. HK Style Pineapple Bun with Butter, Black Pepper Beef Ox Tripe and Shrimp Rice Roll. The special noodle dish we ordered is Pan Fried Vermicelli with Pickled Vegetables and Beef. We got the dim sum quickly. The HK Pineapple Bun was crispy and delicious. It was my first time eating it. The tripe was tender and delicious. The shrimp rice roll was flavorful. The Vermicelli noodles that I was told after checking on it was it takes 25 to 30 minutes for the dish. I had hoped that they will of told us. We will of ordered something else. The dish came and it was filled with vegetables and vermicelli inside a fried vermicelli cover. The fried vermicelli cover was cut into 6 pieces and you open it and the vegetables came out. It was fun. The pickled vegetables was an acquired taste. Never tried it before .

This used to be Imperial Garden Restaurant and my family always go here for dim sum. How can you not love dim sum? The restaurant is spacious and they put a bbq area where people can order takeout. Quick service and good dim sum!

This place is a vibe. New restaurant by Ranch 99. As soon as you walk in you are greeted by a staff member who graciously seats you at a fancily decorated table. There is a giant screen playing video images and shows w/o audio and a separate small screen with a music video on which also is the music coming over the speakers. Lovely interior. Great service. Good food. Dim sum and full sized entrees. Cannot emphasize how fast and courteous the staff was. Perfect place to celebrate Lunar New Year or any special occasion. Support this new business and check it out!!!

We used to dine at this place a lot of times when it was called Imperial Garden. We'll, the big sign on top of the bldg still is called imperial garden, but the sign on the door and menu has changed to Heji Restaurant. They also sell bbq pork, roast pork, duck over rice or noddle, or the whole roast pork. It is located in Great Wall shopping center, Kent. Reservation: we called few days ahead for reservation, because we know it's chinese new year. Our reservation was at 5pm, barely anybody there which is perfect. Full service, it is easy to get their attention. Once it hits around 6:30 to 7pm, all the table are pretty full, kinda hard to get the servers' attention for Service. Parking: plenty of free share retail parking Restrooms: female and male restrooms Inside: Fish tank for live seafood Plenty of big round tables for big parties Big screen TV and stage Dine here for chinese lunar new year. They serve the typical Chinese food. No Peking duck FYI. We ordered: Honey walnut shrimp - big shrimp Seafood fish maw soup Salt pepper tofu - soft inside, great seasoning. Preserved vegetables with Pork belly stone pot Steam fish - very fresh, perfect, $46.99 per lb Lobster over noddle $29.99 per lb + cost of noddle $20 Sautéed string bean with xo sauce Chives shrimp dumpling - comes in 3 pcs Pan fried lamb chop w cumin - come in 6pcs It comes with their "interesting" desserts, it's kinda a rice soup but taste like chinese dried plum. None of us like it. Sorry not our expectations when it comes to desserts. We have to check our bill twice because they accidentally add alcohol on ours. No credit card fee. Awesome!

Weekday Lunch Take-out Dim sum was good to delicious. Significantly better than the restaurant it replaced (Imperial Garden). Standouts were the soup dumplings and pan fried chive and shrimp dumplings. Would 100% recommend the dim sum menu. BBQ/Roasted Meats: only tried the roasted pork and it was hard as if it was reheated too long. Seasoning seemed okay so it would be worth trying again on weekend to see if it would be fresh then. Even so probably not go-out-of-your-way-for level. Ranch 99 deli next door is better. Service: Counter takeout order/checkout was fast and attentive. Food took acceptable amount of time to prepare/package - not super fast though. Inside: Looks pretty much like any Chinese Banquet Hall. They changed the former Imperial Garden entry point so now there is a host/cashier counter/station at entry.

    Fried buns are delicious

The environment here is great, the restaurant is very clean and hygienic, the food is surprisingly delicious, the parking lot is free and very large, and the waiters are very nice here!

That is no more. Sadly after going back recently I realized these are new owners and no longer the San Wok we are used to. Food was decent, but I could tell the difference especially with the orange chicken which was always a hit. Food overall is good for chinese, but doesn't wow me like before. New improvements inside, the restaurant now has dine in, and new decor, but prices have an increased, and ultimately just feels like another chinese restaurant in the area.

The…read morefood was tasty and the guy that ran the place, we knew from the Golden Phoenix restaurants. I think he was either a nephew or son in law. He sold the place to the previous owner who rebranded as Sans Wok Express. When the place opened the flavor, price and portion were all unbelievable and unbeatable. For years this was the case, then the price would go up about 10% at least twice a year, then the portions got smaller and post covid, the flavor also suffered like they were cutting corners. They would skimp on sauces and dishes that were generous with protein because heavy with vegetables, so instead of Mongolian Beef, it was Mongolian Onion. Really nice people, but after my last visit, I said I most likely wouldn't be back because it just wasn't worth the money. Ironically, I gave them another chance today and was surprised. When I pulled into the lot I knew something was different as I saw someone sitting inside and the place had been takeout only since Covid. The décor was also modern and warm and when I didn't see the original chef or server, I assumed there was a new owner. The menu was exactly the same, but it was a new owner and she told me she had owned the place since New Years Day. So, it's obviously been more than a year since I decided not to come back. I had the Mongolian Beef and it was pretty good. I'm sure you would love it, but I actually like mine sugar free. That said, it wasn't as sweet as most places, so respect to the chef. The lunch combo was entree, rice and soup. No more spring roll. The hot and sour was ok, but it wasn't thickened and lacked chicken stock. The new owner is really nice and I'm hoping the business comes back. This place used to always be nearly full. I think after 4-5 years of take out only, people stopped coming here. Take out is great, but I prefer dine in. It hotter, fresher and I don't have any trash. Again, when you keep the same name as the previous business, there is no flag to the community that you changed the recipes and possibly have a better menu. Either way, come back, I think you'll be pleased.

So many seats inside but Just a heads up: come early or be ready to wait, because this place is always packed. It's busy, a little chaotic, but 100% worth it. The food itself is high quality. The best pan-fried noodles I've had in a long time (aka chow mein,…read morechoose the crispy option). Dim sum is some of the best in the Seattle area. But they lose 3 stars from me because they use some kind of industrial strength cleaning chemical to wipe down the tables. Hard to enjoy your meal when all you can smell is the same chemical they use to mop the floors at QFC. If they are using a spray bottle to clean at the next table, you'll get a cloud of harsh cleaning chemical up your nostrils while you eat. I've had to rinse off and wiped down my own table with a napkin dampened with tea or water in order to enjoy my meal. When I mentioned this to staff, they were dismissive and haven't changed a thing in over a year when I first brought it to their attention. They should only be using something like quat sanitizer, that doesn't smell, to clean the tables. NOT something that is used for floors or bathrooms. and on a side note: if you decide to mop underneath another table while people are dining next to it, please say "excuse me" or just wait. Instead of almost hitting people in the head with a mop handle without saying a word. Also not great for a dining experience. I have worked in restaurants and F&B management. I know something about these things. You shouldn't use anything on a table for diners that you wouldn't use on a food preparation surface. How many times has a dumpling got away from you and bounced around on the table and you snag it and consume it, because you assume the table isn't being cleaned with floor cleaner? If you agree with me, please say something to the staff, and maybe they'll eventually listen. This is a real shame. The food quality is quite good. I might just do take-out from now on. There are other high quality Chinese and Asian dining options, that's the bright side of living in this area.

It's a casual spot with many seats. My sister and I came here at lunch time on a Thursday, and there were a lot of people in there, which is always a good sign to me. My sister and I shared the Crab Xiao Long Bao, Spicy shrimp wontons, beef braised noodle soup, and the Tianjin Style Chive and Egg Pancakes. I really liked everything we ordered. The crab xiao long bao was nice and soupy; the crab flavor is subtle but nice. What got me was the little crab carrot in the baos. The absolute cutest thing and a nice touch! The pancake was delicious. Very herbaceous and savory, the pancake was crispy and chewy at all the right places. The wontons weren't super spicy, but the flavors were good, and the wonton itself was tasty. The top dish for me, though, was the beef braised noodle soup. The handmade noodles were bouncy and perfectly chewy. The beef is definitely the star of this dish, being so freakin tender and flavorful! The bok choy added that freshness and crunch that complemented the soup really well. From the tender meat, the chewy noodles, and the bok choy, this soup is my absolute favorite item here so far. I'd like to try the spicy version next time. The staff were super friendly. The food came out fairly quickly after ordering, and everything was so hot and fresh! I'll definitely be back as I'd like to try the other items they offer.
