    Fried turnip cake

Solid, not spectacular, responsive service. Went with a larger party at opening on a Saturday. Ordered turnip cakes, stuffed eggplant, hum bao, garlic green beans, sticky rice, soy sauce noodles. Good execution, quick and hot food.

Unfortunately, this will be our last visit to Triumph Valley. My party ordered quite a bit of food and most of it was actually very good. We had no complaints about the majority of the dishes, the ambiance was ok and were enjoying our meal. However, one of the items we ordered, the ribs, tasted like they were not cooked properly and were extremely underdone. We politely brought this to the staff's attention thinking it would be an easy fix. Instead of trying to make it right, we were told "we can't take it off after it was ordered." That response was pretty shocking considering the issue was with the quality of the food itself. For context, we come here fairly often, I have bought my staff in several times and we always tip 20% or more. As someone who dines out frequently and writes a lot of reviews, food is obviously important but customer service is equally more important, especially these days. A simple effort to address the issue would have gone a long way. Instead, the situation was handled in a way that made us feel completely dismissed as customers. Because of that experience, I unfortunately wouldn't be able to recommend this restaurant. There are several other great options in the area that value both the food and the guest experience. As always, if anyone is looking for similar spots nearby, feel free to message me.

The servers here were really nice, we requested a round table because the hot pot long tables were uncomfortable for our tall people (knees hit the hot pot unit), and they moved us to one. The food was also delicious and the servings kind of large. They only do orders, not dim sum carts. My favorite dishes were the radish cake and deep fried taro buns, though honestly not a bad dish in our 12 dish order. The place itself was kind of funny, very clearly previously an American bar and restaurant. Still, pretty roomy! I appreciate how much parking there is.

This place is amazing, decor is little nice but the service was amazing. Food is outstanding loved everything I have ordered here from steamed buns to shrimp to Mongolian beef and their Hot and Sour Soup is just wow.

Chinese restaurant in Renton in its own building with a good sized parking lot. Serves Cantonese, Sichuan, and even hotpot. Went there for dimsum lunch on the weekend, and the place was busy. Half hour wait for a table for 4. Pretty big restaurant that's divided into at least 2 wings. The decor is kind of interesting, can't really put a theme on it. For dimsum, you don't get the choice of tea, they just give you the standard one. Ordering is done via tablet. They have a decent selection of traditional items and a few of their own specialties. Items were served pretty quickly. Out of the bunch, all the traditional items like shiu mai, chicken feet, steamed rib bits etc. were decent. The water chestnut cake was actually very good, as was the green roll with fried shrimp inside. The BBQ pork pastry was not that great, too floury and not flakey enough. My group also ordered stir fried duck tongue which was okay, but pretty pricey ($30) for the amount of meat. The dimsum items are mostly $7 each so pretty reasonable. Overall bill for 4 was $130 including tips. One of the better dimsum places I've been to in Puget Sound, but not quite the level what you can get in Richmond/Vancouver.

This place was okay. The service was just okay. Honestly, I've had a lot better for cheaper prices. We did love the egg plant though and the siu mai. We'd come back for that. I didn't care for the salt and pepper wings and usually you could not go wrong with those. The wings were TINY and feel like the portions were just not up to par with the price. The chicken had a weird after taste that we didn't like as well. Everything else seemed okay too. The cake noodles was my partners favorite, I thought it was okay. We did not like the fried taro shrimp dumplings because it wasn't crispy enough for us. The shrimp egg rolls were alright. Price wise, it wasn't worth it to us. It does look really good but when you eat it, it doesn't taste like anything too special. The service was okay, it took awhile for them to get our food and, we weren't welcomed in, and it took awhile long time for our bill to come as well.

Haven't had dim sum in awhile when we were trying to figure out where to celebrate my dad's birthday my brother suggested Triumph a favorite of his and his wife. We know the lines can get long so we arrived a little before 10am on a Sunday. Once the doors open we were seated quickly. You order from a pad which makes things easy. Since there were six of us we doubled up on a few items. Large well lit space with lots of parking. We were seated at an 8 top which allowed lots of space.

First time visit to Triumph Valley and dim sum was quite tasty! Ordered har gow, siu mai, beef balls, bean curd rolls, bbq pastry buns, soy sauce chow main, soup dumplings, preserved egg and pork congee, chicken feet, stir fried rice roll with xo sauce, pork with crab seaweed roll. My least favorite was the last entree. Everything was tasty, very fresh. Order the food from an iPad. Service was very prompt. Looking forward to going back.

    - So good but so far - We heard about this place from our friends and I've been here 5 times. There is always a long wait since they are so good and popular, but we came at 2 pm today on a Saturday and the four of us got seats right away. Here are the things we ordered: 1. Purple yam mochi with lava egg custard 2. Pork & shrimp siu Mai 3. Chicken feet in sauce 4. Sticky rice in lotus wrap 5. Stuffed eggplant w/shrimp 6. Black bun king with matcha lava custard 7. Hk rice roll with special peanut sauce 8. Green beans with hk style pickle 9. Salt & pepper tofu. I highly recommend 1 and 8. 1 is their specialty that I haven't found elsewhere, and it's a good balance of custard and purple yam, but the outer shell could be a bit oily. Their green beans are nice and crunchy. The other stuff is standard and harder to mess up, though my mil said the salt and pepper tofu was more firm (they usually use silk tofu). Regardless, my husband finished it all. Btw, the black bun is just custard bun since you could barely taste any matcha at all. The only thing that I'm not a fan of is the rice roll with peanut sauce ... It's just too much sauce for me. If the wait is not bad most of the time, I'd give it a five star. You have to allocate your time accordingly since sometimes you can end up waiting 1-2 hours here due to its popularity. However, the taste and affordable price is still much better than the dim sum places in Bellevue.

Dim Sum with the girls! Popular venue on a Sunday. Open with many tables. Well organized and good service. Love the ability to order on a tablet. Highlights. Baled BbBq pork buns with pineapple top. Rice rolls were delicious. Perfect green beans. Egg tarts were buttery perfection. Clean and bright.

Do they take reservations for Dim Sum on the weekends?

Yes,we take 6 people or more than 6 of party reservation. : )

Is the bar area children friendly?

Actually I'm not sure.... It looks fairly large. One thing I did not mention in my review was that a strong smell of pot wafted out as I walked by the bar entrance...so personally i would not take a child in there. I'm hoping that was an anomaly ...… Read more

    Do you take reservations?

I think they do since they have a reservation system, where when you are at the restaurant, you would enter in your mobile and party number, and they would text you. You can also check your status to see how far along you are in the line too.

Do y'all service dimsum all day or just certain times of the day?

All day but beyond a certain time (3 pm I think?) it's a limited selection -- but still all good!

Where could I make a reservation on Christmas Day ? Walk-in only? It seems like I could only call to book a table. Thank you!

When I was there Saturday, they had a small sign that they were not taking reservations. But I would definitely call to double check as I could be wrong.

Is there dim sum offer in the outdoor dining/bar area?

Not on the day I went. Not sure if that ever changes.

    Is their hotpot ayce?

Hello. Our hotpot is not ayce. We are serving individual order. Expense for each person around 35-40 dollars. Please come and check our delicious chicken soup base. Thank you.

How hard is it to get a reservation here? What are the options?

Pretty easy! I called a few hours before the time I wanted and got in just fine.

When does the wait for a table usually start?

I have NO IDEA... none, sorry. Great place, good luck getting a table!

Do they serve dim sum all day?

    yes

My sister and I shared the Crab Xiao Long Bao, Spicy shrimp wontons, beef braised noodle soup, and the Tianjin Style Chive and Egg Pancakes. I really liked everything we ordered. The crab xiao long bao was nice and soupy; the crab flavor is subtle but nice. What got me was the little crab carrot in the baos. The absolute cutest thing and a nice touch! The pancake was delicious. Very herbaceous and savory, the pancake was crispy and chewy at all the right places. The wontons weren't super spicy, but the flavors were good, and the wonton itself was tasty. The top dish for me, though, was the beef braised noodle soup. The handmade noodles were bouncy and perfectly chewy. The beef is definitely the star of this dish, being so freakin tender and flavorful! The bok choy added that freshness and crunch that complemented the soup really well. From the tender meat, the chewy noodles, and the bok choy, this soup is my absolute favorite item here so far. I'd like to try the spicy version next time. The staff were super friendly. The food came out fairly quickly after ordering, and everything was so hot and fresh! I'll definitely be back as I'd like to try the other items they offer.

The staff was both kind and attentive, and we didn't feel rushed at all like we did last time. I consider this to be one of the better Cantonese restaurants on the Eastside although prices are on the higher end for average size portions. Our table of 10 was able to polish off nine dishes with no leftovers which is not super common for us. When we go to other restaurants, there's usually at least something left to take home, but here, all our plates were completely clean. + SAUTÉED FISH FILLET ($19.95): Lightly fried pieces of fish were coated in a subtle soy-based sauce with snap peas, celery and mushrooms. The fish was delicate and addicting; every time it approached me on the turntable, I scooped a piece onto my plate! + ENOKI MUSHROOM w/ SILKY TOFU ($19.95): The tofu had such a smooth custard-like texture with a firm lightly fried exterior. If you're seeking a vegetarian option, I recommend this! + HOUSE SPECIAL CHOW MEIN ($16.95): So good! The noodles had a delicious wok flavor and weren't too oily. It included slices of BBQ pork, small shrimp that had a perfect snap and tender calamari strips. Onion and cabbage added some crunch. + DRY BEEF CHOW FUN ($16.95): They use the dried flat rice noodles rather than the fresh ones, so this was just okay. (I think the last time we came, they used the fresh noodles.) The noodles were not as soft as I'd like, but the flavor aligned with your average chow fun and the pieces of beef were quite tender. + PEA VINES w/ GARLIC SAUCE ($19.95): The pea vines tasted fresh with crunchy stems and tender leaves. This is a good straightforward veggie dish. + SZECHUAN CHICKEN ($16.95): This is labeled as "spicy" on the menu, but the heat level is mild at most. I'd say it was more of a sweet and sour sauce which wasn't bad, but just different than anticipated. The chicken pieces were pretty small and some were mostly crust, so I would probably skip this next time. We had three other dishes as well, but these are the ones I wanted to spotlight. After we ordered, our food started arriving shortly after and the staff walked around on a regular basis to refill waters. Mai Place is pretty easy to miss when driving around the area, so definitely make a point to seek it out the next time you're craving authentic Chinese cuisine.

Located inside of the Marketplace at Factoria Mall, they amassed a reputation that they've held onto for the last decade plus. It's been both good and bad, which is why my rating, along with many other others have been somewhere down the middle. Some good things: * There is plenty of group friendly seating. One could have a large group without having to experience much of a wait, even on the weekends. * In addition there is plenty of parking. No one will ever have to deal with looking for places to park, since the mall has so many spots. * The portions are excellent. One has every right to be nervous about how much dim sum will be served given shrinkflation, but there should be no problem here. For example, one portion of shrimp dumplings will have 8 pieces and the price reflects this as well. The bad: * Prices are objectively terrible. And by terrible, I mean expensive. Usually, I'm not one to care if the portions make up for the price, but seeing as everything is $15-20 a pop, things can add up quickly. Even a single can of soda was $5. Yes, really. * I appreciate the staff speaks Cantonese, but the service leaves a lot to be desired. Even when they're not busy, they're not always the easiest to get a hold of and don't necessarily make attendance a priority. * What's worse than subpar tasting food? Having a lot of it. Mediocre execution for various popular dishes meant that food was going to be wasted. This is already a big no no with Asian culture, but the price being factored into it meant folks got hosed twice. At the end of the day, I think there's a lot of potential. It's just that much of it was wasted and I do not rule out a return, but I am not likely to come back anytime soon.
