(You have to eat it fresh from the fryer) The flavor is bold, savory, and once you start eating them, it's hard to stop. That said, they can lean a bit too sweet at times almost to the point where it tastes like straight sugar but somehow it still works and keeps me coming back. Honestly, the chicken was just okay and food is overpriced -- I feel like it's a bit overhyped. One thing that threw me off: they only use plastic cups, no glassware. A guest and her friend were about to leave with their drinks (looked like water and a nonalcoholic beverage), and the owner stopped them, saying it was illegal. If this review was just about the food I would give it 5 stars Their fish sauce wings are the best I've ever had the flavors are well balanced not too fishy and not too sweet like other fish sauce wings I've had. All the other flavors of the wings are amazing the wings are big and juicy. I will say that if you are dinning in expect to wait over 45 - 60 minutes even when it's empty on a weekday when they first open. I've only ever seen one person there and I'm guessing she's the owner? The service is okay it's not great you might be better off calling an order in. The prices are reasonable. read more

I would say however that the butter wings and the salt and pepper wings are very close in taste, I almost couldn't tell them apart, so I wouldn't recommend getting both if you're looking for variety but they were delicious either way. The cheesy bacon fries are also absolutely huge and delicious. You get ample ranch with your wings and the ranch is the perfect butter milk ranch. The staff is very friendly. However, this is a dive bar setting. I did love that they were playing 2000s hip hop and R&B when we were there, that was bonus points for me! There is street parking here :) read more

We order our food and grab the only table that's available. 40 minutes passes and still no food. I went here while running some errands around Renton, on recommendation of a few friends saying the fish sauce wings are fire, so I got the 6 pieces for myself to try. Food took a bit of time to be served, but it was worthwhile to wait a bit. In addition to the 6 wings with the sauce of choice, there was also jalapeños and sauteed onions, as well as celery and ranch sauce on the side. Those are just nice garnishes, as the main focus of the dish is the wings. The fish sauce was a bit subtle but still evokes hints of savory and sweet. I loved the spiciness from the jalapeños, as well as the crispiness of the wings. However, 6 pieces for $12+ is a bit steep and the value just isn't there. I was barely full from the order, and likely will only be full by ordering the 12 pieces which is $21+. This is not really a place to casually order, given the prices, but it is still a worthwhile place to try. There are many other places of bar food that can be done for cheaper, but I am not sure if it will be as good as this one, perhaps. read more

Well, after the worst chicken ever yesterday at Ezell's I decided to try Burnett's. Since the place is Taiwanese, I had high hopes for flavor in their wings. I had the Spicy Asian Wings and on a scale of 1-5, they were a 1. Matter of fact, I found the chicken to be very bland. I was hoping for a spicy lemongrass flavor, but there was no flavor whatsoever. There was a solid tablespoon of crushed peppers on top, but those chilis had no heat or flavor. Last, at $12, it was overpriced. They claimed jumbo wings, but they were pretty much the same party wings you get from Costco, so at $2 per wing it was a stretch. At $9.99, I would have been ok with the price, but for $12, I needed a small side included. It was hot, it was fresh, and it was cooked correctly, but it didn't impress. I considered the garlic wings, but again, if they are just frying chicken that wasn't marinaded and tossing it in a topping, this is just a local pub pushing food service items. There was a guy at the entrance checking for ID. The service was a bit slow but quite friendly. This place could use some cleaning but hey what do you expect from a small pub?
