We ordered a seafood boil with Dungeness crab, and when cracking the crab there was a thick, rubbery membrane/film tightly stuck to the meat. Even after cracking the shell, it was difficult to break through, and the texture was off. I asked the owner if it was okay to eat, and he said it was "perfectly normal and safe." While it may be safe, this is not normal for good-quality Dungeness crab. It looked and ate like pre-molt/molting crab, which is considered lower quality and not what you expect in a seafood boil. I grew up eating fresh crab (my dad goes crabbing), and this was not that. When I brought it up, I was brushed off, and no replacement was offered, which was disappointing. I understand seafood can vary, but dismissing a legitimate quality concern instead of addressing it properly really took away from the experience. read more

4.5 stars: Great food and service! They were very attentive on the spot! The crab shells were easy to remove and snow crab came out as whole. The shrimp also removed very nicely signs of good quality seafood! The price is noticeably friendlier than Crab and More for similar menu combinations. Tbh Cajun fries and the garlic noodles were kinda forgettable tho... Overall I'd definitely come again on a date night! On the side note on the negative reviews. I had high hopes for this place. The food per se was not horrible, but the service was... We got sited and immediately forgotten (we were the only people there). I called out a couple of times until he snapped out of whatever it was he was watching on his phone. Very bland, no smile, no nothing to entice me to come back unfortunately. I've always wanted to try out Bag O Crab as I enjoy seafood boils but I saw that they offer lunch specials so wanted to try those out first to see how I would enjoy their food. My boyfriend got the short ribs lunch special while I got the atomic shrimp lunch special. We weren't aware cause it wasn't on the menu but apparently it comes with a soda can so my boyfriend got a root beer while I got an orange Fanta. The food didn't take too long to arrive after ordering but my boyfriend's meal came first then my own. The rice tasted a day old, the texture was mushy and off. I could barely eat it. The broccoli was just boiled in salt water and it was just big which makes it hard for me to chew as I have sensitive teeth and they didn't even offer a knife. The shrimp was okay, the seasoning for it was decent but just felt there was no love or real effort put into it. The coleslaw was the only other thing that I liked with the lunch special which is really disappointing for basically $16. My boyfriend said he enjoyed the short ribs but said everything else was lackluster. The interior of the restaurant has lots of large crustaceans with a bit of a nautical theme. I wasn't a huge fan of the large fan just blowing, but it seemed they didn't have AC but it was just blowing in our face and making the table cloth flap. The music was an interesting choice as it is just a bunch of obnoxious pop that is blasting so conversations were a bit difficult to hold. Bathroom was clean and well-stocked for the most part but the way there showed how unorganized the place was. The service was also lacking, especially when they make you pay after eating. I don't mind this format if the service is excellent or at least professional as the employee who helped us wasn't friendly or professional. He was also very quiet so it made it hard to hear him with the loud music and fan going on in the background. He did check on us once to see if we needed water. Water was also served in a plastic cup and our utensils were plastic too. I don't think it's really a great seafood boil place when there are plenty of others for the same price or slightly a bit more for a much better experience for taste, vibes, and service. Came here to order dinner to go. When I came in it was empty and was greeted right away. I ordered a lobster, Dungeness crab, and a pound of clams in Louisiana sauce, dynamite x level spice. The flavor and spice level was so good. The lobster came whole with the head on. It tasted fresh and was HUGE! The crab was fresh as well however when they cooked it it looked like they took the crab apart. There wasn't any crab mustard in the shell and the legs looked like they were cleaned. Other than that it tasted fresh and great for dipping in the extra sauce. The clams were on the small side but cleaned well and didn't taste any grittiness. Overall the experience was great and quick. I'll have to come here again to dine in next time. read more

Me and my boyfriend were debating on whether or not to try this spot since there are a lot of seafood boil places closer to us, but I'm so happy we went out of our way cause this place is worth the drive and now is my new favorite spot for whenever I'm craving. We got combo number 2 with a pound of snow crab and 3/4 pound head off shrimp. The shrimp comes deveined and that's a huge plus for me, exactly how I like it!! My daughter told me about this restaurant and raved about how good it was. It was her birthday and she wanted seafood boil, so why not bring her and it was my first time here. The parking is not so great, as there are not many parking spaces available due to other businesses taking up the spaces. Upon walking in, the host or owner was nice and greeted us right away and helped us get seated. The inside is pretty cute with their crab decor. The seafood boil here was pretty good! Had lots of flavor and spice level was just right for what we ordered. Which was the combo #4, with butter seasoning and spice level was a medium. The noodles came out quickly and they are a pretty standard garlic noodle, better than other places but not something you have to get. The fried fish was super crispy and had a nice taste, it wasn't too oily but the fries were super salty. The boil itself was salty and so spicy (they don't play with the spice here). Service was good and the restaurant was clean but I will state that the sign says the cleanliness is just "okay," both my partner and I felt unwell after dining here. read more

Atomic sauce combo #2 with head off on the shrimp. Spice level a little bit; I've tried the mild but the spice is potent so keep that in mind. The only seafood boil place I go to now. One thing I appreciate is they clean the shrimp well and don't leave the little poo string in. And the flavor is there every single time. One thing that left me uneasy was being asked to pay in advance; I'm genuinely curious if that's standard policy for everyone or if others have had a different experience. So I looked on Yelp and I found this place and decided to try them out. BOY, ARE WE HAPPY WE DID! We ordered the garlic noodles, I got the lunch special half Louisiana Chicken and Beef Spare Ribs, and the Huz got the Atomic Shrimp. All of our food was hot, seasoned well, and everything tasted like they were separate dishes. That's something that tends to get overlooked at other seafood restaurants; individual dishes having their own individual flavor profiles. Oh and service was great, and we loved the decorations. It's so clean, which is ALWAYS a must. I still had my eyes on the Lobster Roll, but my tummy is too full. We'll definitely be back. A few notes: 1. Came here with my wife a week ago right before the dinner service. Conveniently located in Kent near the Fred Meyer store. The only challenge I saw right off the bat was parking. I was fortunate to be able to secure a space and found two other parties in the dining room. The dining room is nicely laid out and has seating for about 45 people. The tables are covered with a butcher paper so that they can easily clean up when you are done with your meal. From the time we placed our order to receiving our food was no more than 15 minutes. the seafood was perfectly cooked and they provided crab cracking utensils, plastic, gloves, and bibs. Everything you need to stay reasonably clean while dealing with this delicious meal. Service was good and we look forward to our next visit. read more

We tried out the Bag O Crab in Dec 2025. The food was ok, nothing special. The waitress was friendly but had no ability to wait tables Perhaps it was her first day, but she should have had better training. She brought out waters with lids, .. but no straws. She brought out orders with two salads - dressing already on one of them ( which was not ordered) and no dressing on the other one. When my friend said, can i get salad dressing, the waitress pointed to a plastic sauce packet, and said "There is the dressing." It was Tartar Sauce for her fish. When she said, Nope that's tartar sauce, the waitress had no idea what dressings were available. She did not bring ketchup for two orders of fries. All in all, a bad experience. And... it is fairly expensive. Sure, seafood is pricey, but this was not excellent seafood. IT was just ok seafood. Sorry, but we won't be back. The gratuity is included, so a $24 tip was added to the bill, even though the service was terrible. Parchment paper lines the table tops -southern crawfish boil style. The last time I had crayfish was in New Orleans, so we ordered the crawfish & shrimp platter with Cajun seasoning. Delicious seasoning but it didn't simmer long enough for everything to absorb the flavors. The heads are dry (iykyk) but if you think of the seasoning as a dip then it's more enjoyable to eat. They take payment when you order and then provide everyone with disposable gloves, bibs, sanitizer wipes, and paper trays. One combo was enough for 2 people to share! We had a lot of fun trying everything and getting only minimally messy. If you love seafood then I definitely recommend giving this place a try. read more

Went Friday at lunch and had the place entirely to ourselves. We ordered Combo #2 with crab and shrimp, plus a side of rice and a couple sodas with the "Louisiana Flavor". All the seafood was cooked to perfection. Potatoes were great -- not mealy, firm but well cooked. Sausage was perfect and plump. I think the corn was the only downer as it was starchy and not overly sweet. The rice was rice, but perfect for soaking up the "sauce" that the seafood was steeped in. I opted for Mild heat and I'm glad I did; I like it spicy, and this was about the temp I could handle. The whole meal tasted like it had been cooked in chili crisp, which I love. We really enjoyed it, one of the better seafood and overall meals I've had in Kent. Messy but good. I would hesitate taking kids here unless you know they can a) handle sauces and b) dealing with having to shell and dissect their own food. We went without our kids this time and are contemplating whether we could bring them next time. They do have chicken wings and other items on the menu that may be kid-friendly, though, I didn't try them (this time)! Ambiance-wise, the cafe is blasting loud pop music with a couple TVs playing daytime TV. Service is attentive and polite. My partner ordered the chicken strips with fries. The batter used on the chicken strips were is Asian style, but not Panko. Both orders were generous portions. The garlic bread was delicious!
