Food was mediocre. The marinated beef wasn't too bad tho. There weren't much sauces. I thought the snack bar had some more sauces where you could make your own but there's only one on your table labeled dipping sauce. The pork belly comes with a sauce they bring for you. Speaking of pork belly they were too chewy we cooked it for long enough and it was still very chewy. Service was trash. The lady that was our server poured all the meat on our fryer so half of the meat was stacked on top of each other so it took longer to cooked. We're already on a 90 minute time crunch. If my step dad wasn't pestering the lady for a next round they wouldn't have checked on us and we would've been waiting for 30 minutes. While we were waiting for the second round the lady told us to turn off our heater when we're not using it, the man later came and turned it back on and told us to keep it at level 400-500. The next time we got the food she tried to put all the meat on the fryer again my step dad said "It's okay we got it, thank you" she looked at us like we didn't know what we were doing. I recently celebrated my birthday at KW Korean BBQ with my family on the evening of 2/11/26 for the first time. The food itself was enjoyable and we appreciated having a place where we could gather and cook together for a special occasion. The meats were flavorful and we still made the best of our time there. Unfortunately, the service experience was disappointing. Throughout our meal, staff did not check in on our table to see how things were going. Our grill and grill parchment paper were not changed, and our banchan dishes were not refilled. No one explained whether banchan refills were available since we did not choose the AYCE option. We also noticed that sesame oil, which is typically offered at most Korean restaurants, was not provided and seemed to be kept behind the counter instead of being offered to our table. One thing that stood out to us was that we were the only Asian customers dining at the time. We observed staff spending a significant amount of time checking in on other tables multiple times, while our table did not receive the same level of attention. The difference in attentiveness felt noticeable, and honestly, it felt intentional. At the end of our visit, no one thanked us or said goodbye, which made the experience feel impersonal, especially since we were there celebrating a birthday. We came in excited to celebrate together as a family. While the food was good, the lack of attentiveness and communication impacted our overall experience. I honestly do not know how this place is rated 4.6 stars. I have gone to over 20+ KBBQ places in multiple cities and I did not think it was possible for a bad one to exist until I visited this place. We paid $55 per person for lunch and this is what we got for that: Interior: Not clean, weird smell, and probably the worst decor I've been to. Food: BAD BAD BAD. There were 5 of us for AYCE lunch and the server did not let us order more than 2 proteins. We when she brought it out, it was a whole plate pile of beef (looked like scraps) that she decided to throw into the grill that was layered over 3 times--resulting in the beef being streamed. She did not let us freely cook our own food. We like a variety when we're eating. The same thing with the pork belly and the looked off with different shapes. Zero on presentation. Don't even get me started on how horrible the buffet was. That quality and the flavor was bad. Everything was either tasted off or was completely drowned in sugar. Service: Our server controlled every aspect of our cooking, ordering, the heat level. We automatically got a service charge on our bill that was basically the tip for 5 people. They rushed us out and tipped themselves. So, when we all got home a couple hours later, we all got sick and was on the toilet. The food quality shouldn't have been served to us. I also thought it was very odd that there were about 20 cameras in the place that were spaced out 6 feet apart. I found that to be really sketchy. This place was horrible. Came here at 8:45pm on a Wednesday night. Restaurant was nearly empty, just one other table occupied. I was afraid they would rush us as most Asian places do and tell us last call was at 9pm or something ridiculous (has happened before at other kbbq places) but was very pleasantly surprised to find the service to be excellent, welcoming, and friendly. We were never rushed and while we were still done before their closing time of 10pm, I never felt pressured or hurried. The man was very friendly and nice, I would guess he is the owner since he really seemed to care about providing a quality experience. Food was good, love that they had bean sprouts and leeks at the ban chan self service bar at the front, along with the normal kimchi and other typical side dishes. The meat quality seemed good, the brisket seemed well marbled and decent quality so it was probably actually usda prime. They put a round piece of parchment over the grill so it's easier to clean up but also makes it harder to brown the meats. Grills have an electronic temperature adjustment, goes up to 600 degrees which seemed to be the right temp to cook as 500 didn't cook fast enough. $32.99 for all you can eat, slightly more expensive than some of the places in Federal Way, but overall solid experience. Pretty solid AYCE spot at a reasonable price! Came here on a Friday night with my group of 5 and were a little surprised to see the restaurant fairly quiet and empty. It's a big restaurant, tons of tables available in case you're looking for a spot that you wouldn't need to wait. The AYCE price was $33 each for us. There isn't a ton of selection with the menu only having about 8-10 options, but really we only came for the brisket, pork belly and galbi. I wouldn't have minded a few more options though. Meat quality was pretty solid and they give a ton with each order, so you'll never really be left without meat. They do have a self-serve banchan bar but I thought this was just ok. Good variety of options though. Service here was top notch though! Servers always came by to check on us, get us more meats, drink refills and grill changes. So glad there's kbbq in Burien now! The meats are all great but brisket is my fav (simple but perfect fat ratio, better than most places I've tried). Banchan is self-serve and changes slightly each time I've been but typically includes kimchi, fish cakes, cucumber, pickled radish, broccoli, mashed potatoes, and leeks. I haven't had leeks at other kbbq places but it's my favorite. Everything I've tried has been good. My only gripe is garlic & jalapeños cost $1 extra each. Service is super friendly and you never have to wait long in between ordering meat. The staff here are very friendly! The food itself was solid. This was my first time getting serve your own side dishes at an AYCE KBBQ spot! The pros is that you can get as much as you want, and cons are the quality and taste of the side dishes themselves are just okay compared to other Korean restaurants. Nonetheless, it stays true to the all-you-can-eat experience. The meat was decent as well as the soups we got. Compared to other spots that I've tried I think that the meat could have a little more flavor when cooked, personally, however I still enjoyed our meal. If I could put 0 stars I would. Iv never done that. This is honestly one of the worst restaurants I've ever been to -- and that says a lot, because K-BBQ is usually hard to mess up. The meat quality was extremely disappointing, and the service was even worse. They sit you down and limit you to two meats at a time, but then never come around to check on you. We sat for over 50 minutes without anyone stopping by, and the tables around us were clearly having the same issue. It feels intentional, which makes their "all you can eat" claim completely misleading. On top of that, the grills are covered in a way that makes everything cook painfully slow, again dragging out the experience. The whole setup seems designed to keep you from actually eating what you paid for. I'm honestly shocked this place exists in Burien, since I've only ever had great food experiences here. I was really craving Korean BBQ and we usually go to Federal Way, but we decided to try this place on Sunday (2/15/26) since it was close by. We were excited looking at the menu and all the other dishes. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it. The quality was low and the service was terrible. We came a little bit before 5pm, with a group of five and ordered the AYCE. There was maybe only 3 other groups in the restaurant. The meat was just average, so we asked for sesame oil and ssamjang. All the sides were just average as well. The grill came with a sheet of parchment paper, which was unusual and took forever to heat up and get the meat crispy. We were constantly having to find someone to ask for basic items -- and the male worker especially just seemed very annoyed every time we asked for something. When I asked for more rice, he came back with a large bowl but just slide it on the table and walked away. Agree with Trish we did not feel welcomed, no hospitality. I love this place and go here all the time for some nice easy KBBQ. I feel like it's never too busy where you're waiting for a table and always seated immediately. The staff is so friendly and even remembers our order. My favorite is the brisket and LA Galbi. They always serve enough proportionate to the table for all you can eat so you can make sure everyone has their fill with a single order. The place is small but cozy. It has seating for big groups and small tables on the sides. Having a self serve Banchan also means I can get what I want whenever I want. Another Korean BBQ bagged on this trip to the greater Seattle area, and a unique one given that it's the only Korean BBQ in the small town of Burien. The low AYCE lunch price of $21.99 is what caught my eye, and I was determined to know whether it there was decent value to be extracted. As an avid consumer of the korean'd BBQ meats, my primary go-to is the beef brisket with a side of kimchi and paper'd radish. As far as KW goes, the service was good as we went during a weekday lunch and we were regularly checked upon by the single server (probably owner). Meats were regularly flowing and drinks were adequately refilled. Sides (panchan) are self-serve at the buffet bar, which has its pros and cons, but overall I'm agnostic towards self-serve. Here's where things get knocked off a couple stars - consistency and taste. Of course, at $21.99 I didn't expect the best quality meats. However, I would have given this place at least four stars if it weren't for the inconsistent cuts of "brisket." See photos for what looks to be almost two different cuts of meat (one looks more like a round eye steak, and the other more traditional brisket). Overall, the round eye steak was pretty lackluster, rubbery, and not that great - although for $21.99 it passes. The more traditional looking brisket (more marbling and fattier) did indeed taste better and had better texture (not as rubbery), and would be a pretty solid deal for the price. If I could guarantee myself the fattier brisket plate for every serving, I could give this place a solid recommendation to try, at least once. However, the taste on the kimchi, pickled radish, and other panchan sides left much to be desired. The pickled radish taste was off, and kimchi was a bit too salty. The bonus though was the leek kimchi, which tasted better (not as salty, better balance of the flavor) and ended up being a solid contender for 2nd most eaten side. From the photos online I thought this would be a little dumpy, but the place is quite clean and well maintained. The owners are friendly and provide good service. For a weekday lunch I was surprised to see how many patrons came through, not a lot but also not nothing. TL;DR: If you mostly love brisket, this place offers some hit or miss brisket - some plates were decent, others were on the lower end of brisket quality. At $21.99, being one of the cheapest AYCE in town, if you're after the extreme value at the cost of quality and consistency, this is a solid recommendation. But if you desire at least some consistency and quality in your brisket, and also would like some decent tasting panchan, then I'd recommend looking elsewhere. read more

Sunday evening, not too busy which is great that we didn't need to wait. The banchan is self serve and they refill it whenever it gets empty. They had a good variety and it's pretty good. The only issues for this is when cooking, it's usually grilled directly but the server told us that it needs the paper kept on top while we're grilling. It is affordable, delicious, has a great variety of options, and service was fast! I loved the buffet of side dishes and there was no wait to sit down (I did come on a Monday!). I came here with my wife and we got the buffet. The salad bar was really disappointing, it had some basic American salad with two salad dressings (ranch and thousand island I think). It had kimchi, potato salad which was actually really good, and two other Asian type of salads that I didn't recognize. As to the meats, we got the beef bulgolgi which was really good, spicy pork which was ok, bulgolgi chicken which I didn't really like and beef brisket which we both didn't like at all. They also only have ONE dipping sauce. If you don't like it then you're eating the meats as is. I was surprised they didn't have soy sauce or teriyaki sauce or any spicy dipping sauce, etc... They also are VERY strict on the no take home food from the buffet and they charge you an extra $5 PER PERSON if there are leftovers. I understand why they do this but it still sucks if you think you will be able to eat the next round of meat but can't. I do say the service was excellent, the lady is very nice. Decided to try this place after walking around Burien! We went in a party of 3 and had a great time, definitely recommend coming here as it is a small family-owned restaurant. High quality selection of meats and banchan too! Food: Food was great for the price you pay. We decided to do the AYCE menu (which is $30 for dinner, $21.99 for lunch) where you can eat for 90 minutes and order two different meats at the time. Believe me, you would think that it wouldn't be enough, but the portions are HUGE every time you order. Some of the ones we really liked were the brisket, pork belly (which was thinly sliced and easy to cook), kalbi (extremely well marinated!) and shrimp (huge and juicy!). Additionally, we didn't have to change our grill as the restaurant utilizes non-stick grills which grilled amazingly without burning. I think the best part was seeing there is a self-serve banchan area with the most popular side dishes, such as homemade kimchi, potato salad, pickled spicy leek and pickled spicy cucumber. I probably went to the station more than 3 times! Tea here is $1 per person but you share a big pot and it is unlimited refills. Ambiance: Small cozy restaurant with adequate seating for a large group of 6+ people. The tables were also wheelchair friendly. Very nice and clean, and it was pretty quiet on a weekday night. Service: There is a husband and wife duo that runs the restaurant. They do their best to help you out with cooking and making sure your grills are not burnt. I am so happy there's a Korean BBQ just down the road from my home here in Burien! The food is really delicious & the prices are some of the best for AYCE. I could eat their brisket & pork belly all day long. I love that there's a banchan buffet where you can help yourself to whatever you'd like. It's far less wasteful because you can load up on everything you like & leave what you would rather pass on. My personal favorites are their kimchi & the potato salad. The servers are so nice & attentive. We brought our 8 month old with us for lunch on Saturday & they were so sweet with him, too! One even asked if there's anything he would eat, offering to get us something (he ended up eating a little of my rice & a small piece of pork belly). My favorite was the marinated LA kalbi and beef bulgogi. I'm also a fan of the self-serve banchan station. The nice lady who brought out our food was very friendly and made sure we knew what we were doing...lol. She also made sure we had a new clean grill when needed. Only street parking is available, but we had no trouble finding parking nearby. The inside of the restaurant is clean and the health rating posted on their door was an "Excellent". We dined here on 9/12. The middle aged guy with one AirPod in gave my fiancée and I a full on lecture about not finishing our food. We didn't understand that there was a $5 fee per person for not finishing (cannot take it home - it is just a $5 fine per person). After the lecture and after he brought the manager over, my fiancée and I were more than happy to pay the $10 fee and leave, but the manager wanted to re-explain everything and pointed to the policy taped by the table. My fiancée and I understood this as a $5 fee for any leftovers. It wasn't clear that we had to finish absolutely everything on the table, or else be subjected to a fine and a lecture. In the end, they charged us and gave us a box for our leftovers, but the attitude and lecture from the guy with the AirPod in his ear left a terrible taste in our mouths. We literally thought he was joking when he reprimanded us for not finishing our meat. A tip for the restaurant: please be more forthcoming about this policy so you can address any confusion in a more gracious manner than the way it was handled by your staff tonight. Great meat and good selection of salad bar for a Korean buffet at $30 pp First time trying this newly opened all you can eat Korean bbq buffet in Burien. It opened since May 2024. Dinner starts at 3pm and it's $29.99 USD pp. there is a medium sized buffet bar with all the sides you like--fish cakes, pickled leeks, marinated cucumbers, kim chee, potato salad, green salad, steamed broccoli, and a few more things. The pickled leeks were excellent especially eaten with the bbq fatty meats. A bowl of rice also came with it but no soup or dessert. For dinner, there were quite a few meats for selection--we especially loved the prime beef brisket (fatty and lean with an excellent taste); the marinated LA kalbi ribs which were quite tender; the beef bulgogi; the pork belly unseasoned. At the table there is a bottle of dipping sauce which was tasty for the unseasoned meats like the belly. We did not try the shrimp, the marinated pork and a few other things. You can order only 2 meats a time and once that is finished, then you can order more within 90 minutes. What we found was they gave a huge portion of the pork belly which next time, we will request a few slices only while they did not give that much for the beef briskets. The restaurant is clean and tidy and so is the washroom. Servers seemed like husband and wife team....wife spoke limited English but husband spoke fluent English. Decided to give this place a try since it's only a 5 minute drive from our house. It's $34.99 for an adult AYCE which is quite pricey. For me, a restaurants side dishes will make or break my Korean bbq experience. They had a cute little mini side buffet which was ok. Everything tastes fresh but definitely lacked flavor. The best side dish was probably their sweet potatoes and that's about it. As for the meat, I would rate it a 5 star for the freshness of the meat. You can just taste the difference. Their bulgogi marinate was a bit too sweet for my liking. They also had. A "spicy LA kalbi", which is definitely unique. The kalbi was not spicy btw. Just tasted like any other marinated short ribs. The service was alright and we went around 8pm. There were about two other families there so service should've been better. Overall, KW would not be my first choice for Korean bbq. I would rather make the drive out to Federal Way or to Airrang in Lynnwood to get more bang for my buck. read more
