    Boneless Soy Garlic

I was so excited to find Chicko Chicken here in Seattle, so of course I had to stop by the Burien location-- and it did not disappoint. The flavor was just as amazing as I remembered. I ordered the soy garlic, and wow... that perfect balance of sweet and savory is unbeatable. Crispy, juicy, and full of flavor. If you like milder heat, this is the absolute best choice. The staff were genuinely friendly, and the whole place felt clean and welcoming. Highly recommend!

I am even more of a fan on my 2nd visit. Both the boneless and bone in were good. Tried a new sauce called herb cheese and I liked it. If you think cheese snow is too sweet, try the herb cheese. Portions are good and a full size order can feed 2 average adults.

This order was a takeout. Very nice and friendly staff, service was on time. This is the spot for Korean fried chicken. I was very satisfied with the chicken. The Yangyeom chicken was sweet and spicy. It was a perfect crunchy texture and the sauce didn't make it soggy. The Cheese Snow chicken was savory and sweet and cheesy of course. It was coated perfectly the chicken was juicy and not dry. Next time will comeback and dine in for sure.

This was a random pick when getting into town. A surprisingly really good pick. Drove up from Seattle for a weekend and saw this place on yelp. Thought it had good ratings and we were in the mood for fried chicken why not make it Korean. Got the garlic soy, yangyeom, and buldak. The buldak was too spicy for the other two people I was with but it was my level of spice. I want to try the spicier one next time when I'm not having to share. Will definitely pay this place another visit when I'm in town.

Mid you're looking for KFC - this is the spot. Great sauces and fresh as it gets. Small joint with great service. I'll be back

Happy that there's a Korean Fried Chicken spot close by for those days where the craving is real but I don't wanna drive too far out for it. It's conveniently located in the Burien Plaza so there's plenty of parking. The inside has a few tables but if you're a party is bigger than 4, expect to sit at different tables or potentially combine the tables if they'll let you. The staff was very friendly and the food came out fairly quickly. The food was piping hot and the pieces were huge! Each bite came with a loud crunch and the inside was juicy. We definitely enjoyed the Cheese Snow flavor and it was very nostalgic of flavors back home in Asia. The Soy Garlic was good but felt as though the glaze could be a bit thicker as the soy garlic flavor wasn't super prominent in it. The fries also had a good balance of crisp outside and soft potato inside. Will definitely want to come back to try the other flavors.

Chicko Chicken did not disappoint! It's located in a spacious shopping center with plenty of parking. We ordered half & half and selected the Cheese Snow and Yangyeom flavors. Despite not eating it right away and bringing our take-out home to Federal Way about 20-25 minutes away, the chicken was surprisingly still crispy and juicy! The pieces are also larger than other Korean chicken shops that I have been to. I really liked the Cheese Snow flavor, but did not think the Yangyeom flavor was memorable, so I would probably pick something else next time. Overall, I had a great first experience and can't wait for the Federal Way location to open!

The cheese shake fries are so good. But I find the honey butter is kind weird- it tastes like vanilla sweet cream.

Speaking of pork belly they were too chewy we cooked it for long enough and it was still very chewy. Service was trash. The lady that was our server poured all the meat on our fryer so half of the meat was stacked on top of each other so it took longer to cooked. We're already on a 90 minute time crunch. If my step dad wasn't pestering the lady for a next round they wouldn't have checked on us and we would've been waiting for 30 minutes. While we were waiting for the second round the lady told us to turn off our heater when we're not using it, the man later came and turned it back on and told us to keep it at level 400-500. The next time we got the food she tried to put all the meat on the fryer again my step dad said "It's okay we got it, thank you" she looked at us like we didn't know what we were doing. Later on she looked at how we put everything on the fryer she looked and laughed at us TWICE.

Been going here for several years now - poke has always been solid and the Hawaiian dishes were good not great. But today it was all different - everything was outstanding! Wife got a 2 salmon scoop poke : fish was great as always, but the seasoned potatoes (gamja jorim) she chose as 1 of 3 sides was very good. Dad had the hwae-dupbap (think of it as Korean bibimbap but with poke instead of meat) and the Cho-gochujang sauce was excellent. I had the loco moco and it was better than in the past. Also the banchan with that were fire (seasoned japchae noodles, spicy shredded radish) both better than in the past They sell most of the side dishes as banchan and as a Korean I fully endorse them. I am a huge Korean banchan snob and I will absolutely countersign their cooking I don't know what's going on but like I said - everything tastes better than before. The ajumma who runs the place said business is getting slower as the economy is imploding so let's support this awesome local business so we can keep this place around.

Price Point - There are several meat options served here that are very expensive but we tried it all. My personal favorites were the Spicy Pork Cutlet, the Salmon and Rice Bowl, and the wagyu sirloin skewers. Being from Missouri I knew that the prices would be a bit more than what I was used to but it really wasn't that significant. For 4 people who ordered a little bit of everything, we spent 140$ That's three appetizers, 2 sides, and 5 main dishes. For special occasions, celebrations, corporate dinners, this place seems like a great option. Now, in regard to the portion sizes. Pretty simple explanation, they do feel a bit small. Lastly, do they have options for children? I would say no but that depends on what kind of food your kids eat Hahha. This is more of an adult restaurant not particular organized for kids meals. Overall, I definitely recommend everyone check this place out. The food is so fresh and flavorful. We lived the experience and would definitely come back if we find ourselves in town again.

The staff is gracious, prompt, professional, and - I hope no one objects when I say this - rather attractive. Generous portions and reasonable prices for what you're getting. The food is nothing sort of legendary - bold flavors and dishes have the perfect balance of sweet, heat, savory, and umami. THE THORNS: None significant enough to mention. NEITHER ROSE NOR THORN: It is important to note that this place is insanely popular with the area's Korean community. The restaurant is quite busy Thursday thru Sunday, and significant waits for a table are likely. Monday thru Wednesday is your best time for going and getting a table without a wait. The price of some dishes, like their signature offering, Kalbijjim, might give you a pause ($80+). It is important to keep in mind this is made to order, and one serving can easily serve four regular appetites. If you're just a couple, you're definitely going to be taking this home with you. This is not a bad thing, as Kalbijjim is one of those dishes that is even better the next day and doesn't suffer from reheating. THE VERDICT: Daeho Kalbijjim is extremely popular, and it's not hard to see why. The execute authentic Korean cuisine pretty much flawlessly with efficient and charming service. What else to you want in a restaurant? Highly recommend. Just try not to go on the busy days.

They also had some really tasty banchan that made the meal even better. It's incredibly busy, so I highly recommend making a reservation ahead of time. For a group of four, I'd recommend getting a Kalbijjim and a cold noodle dish to balance out the meal as the meat flavors do get pretty heavy. The Suyuk was another standout, the meat was tender, and the broth had an incredible depth of flavor. As for the cheese on the Kalbijjim, I'd say it's not necessary unless you specifically want the experience. The dish is already delicious without it. Overall, a really great meal with bold flavors, incredibly tender meat, delicious banchan, and great service. Definitely worth a visit!
